OAIS Reference Model has become a basis for exchanging ideas and cooperating among institutions and various sectors concerned with digital archiving. It has been also recently approved as a new ISO standard. This paper reviews major concepts and issues that the reference addresses. It also introduces current activities of institutions and projects that have contributed to the development process of the model. Conclusion is devoted to address the importance of cooperation among cultural institutions. These institutions are taking the responsibility of preserving digital information for the long-term as authentic as possible and delivering it to the next generation.

The Reference Model for an Open Archival Information system(OAIS) was recommended for developing digital archives effectively and for implementing interoperability and resource sharing between digital archives. But as the Reference Model is high-level recommendation, it does not specify a design and an implementation. Therefore, this study investigates the architecture of several digital archives, suggestes three strategies for persistent archive, and proposes the conceptual model for developing trusted, persistent, and secure digital archive.

This study aims to design folk song metadata based on the OAIS reference model for the folk songs' preservation and permanent use. Thus, the folk songs' general characteristics were investigated by researching literature and related technical standards. The type of records, the methods and standards for long-term storage of records, OAIS reference models, and each package's metadata elements were identified through opinions from the popular songs' creators and researchers. The results awere that first, folk songs were created for social transformation, serving as a cultural heritage different from popular songs given their noncommercial quality. Second, the types of folk song records were identified, and the long-term preservation system suitable for the types of records was based on the OAIS reference model. Third, the metadata were edited, and the OIS reference model was applied such that respect was given to the folk songs' characteristics, context, and original order. Fourth and last, information package metadata elements matching the folk songs' records were derived and applied to the representative Korean folk song, "The March for Being."

Compartment models, a type of mathematical model, have been widely applied to characterize the changes in a dynamic system with sequential events or processes, such as the spread of an epidemic disease. A compartment model comprises compartments, and the relations between compartments are depicted as boxes and arrows. This principle is similar to that of the system dynamics (SD) approach to constructing a simulation model with stocks and flows. In addition, both models are structured using differential equations. With this mutual and translatable principle, this study, in terms of SD, translates a reference SEIR model, which was developed in a recent study to characterize the transmission of the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) in South Korea. Compared to the replicated result of the reference SEIR model (Model 1), the translated SEIR model (Model 2) demonstrates the same simulation result (error=0). The results of this study provide insight into the application of SD relative to constructing an epidemic compartment model using schematization and differential equations. The translated SD artifact can be used as a reference model for other epidemic diseases.

This paper reviewed research trends in Digital Archiving and the OAIS Reference Model. Well renowned International Projects are also reviewed. InterPares, NEDLIB, CEDARS, CAMiLEON, PRISM are included. Several key functions of the OAIS Reference Model are presented and further research direction of digital preservation in Korea is also suggested.

DEA is a newly developed analyzing tool to measure efficiency evaluation of decision making units (DMU). It compares DMU by radial Projection on the efficient frontier. The purpose of this study is to show reference point approach used for searching solution in multiple objective linear Programming can be usefully used to determine flexible efficient frontier of each DMU In reference point approach, the minimization of ASF Produces an efficient points in frontier and enhances the usefulness of DEA by Providing flexibility in DEA and optimally allocating resources to DMU. Various DEA models can be supported by reference point method by changing the projection direction in order to choose the targets units, standards costs and management benching-marking.

표면영상유속계는 영상분석을 이용하여 홍수시 하천 수표면 유속을 측정하는 비접촉식 유속측정장치이다. 때문에 안전하고 편하게 홍수시 유속을 측정할 수 있으나, 이를 위해서는 영상과 실세계와의 좌표변환을 위한 참조점 측량이 반드시 필요하였다. 좌표 변환에 8-변수 사영변환을 이용할 경우 최소한 4개의 참조점이 필요하다. 그러나 홍수시 참조점 측량은 불가능에 가까우며, 홍수전후의 측량도 매우 번거로운 일이다. 본 연구에서는 참조점을 이용하지 않고, 좌표변환 관계를 구성할 수 있는 카메라 모형(camera model)을 구성하였다. 여기서 카메라 모형은 실세계 좌표(world coordinates)를 영상좌표(image coordinates)로 변환해 주는 관계를 말한다. 이 카메라 모형에 필요한 외부 변수는 하천수표면과 카메라와의 높이 및 카메라의 두 가지 경사각뿐이다. 여기에 일반적인 카메라 보정에 이용하는 방법으로 구한 카메라 내부 변수를 결합하면 된다. 이 모형은 표면영상유속계 장비로 스마트폰을 이용할 때 간편하게 적용할 수 있으며, 별도의 경사계만 부착하면 일반적인 CCTV나 캠코더를 이용할 때도 적용할 수 있다. 이 카메라 모형과 종래 사용하던 8-변수 사영변환에 의한 좌표변환관계를 비교한 결과 상호간 오차가 거의 없이 적용할 수 있었다. 또한, 스마트폰 표면영상유속계와 열영상 표면영상유속계에 적용한 결과 종전보다 훨씬 적용이 간편하며, 정확도 또한 거의 차이가 없이 적용할 수 있었다.

FRBR family models, which is published from 1998 to 2010, will be restructured in 2016 and the new name of the model is "FRBR Library Reference Model (LRM)." FRBR LRM is a consolidated model based on the legacy FRBR family of conceptual models - FRBR, FRAD, FRSAD and the two ontological models - FRBRCore and FaBio, as well as FRBRoo, the cooperated model with museum field. In this study, therefore, FRBR LRM is analyzed in respect to background information, characteristics of the model, such as user tasks, entities, attributes, and relationships. Experimental adaptation to $prot{\acute{e}}g{\acute{e}}$ for the LRM's entities and relationships is also conducted. Through this test, the differences between the original models and the consolidated model was reviewed and the applicability of the FRBR LRM model to the semantic web is also discussed. From now on, we have to select and modify among the various FRBR related models to meet our information needs. It will be difficult to find only one Implementation Methodology for every information needs.

This paper suggests efficient policies of the long term preservation and digital archiving of Korean electronic journals based on the OAIS Reference Model. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey and interviews have been conducted to the institutions which are providing access to Korean electronic journals. Information packages and functional workflows which suggested in the OAIS Reference Model are applied to improve the long term preservation.

The investment on informatization has caused the increase in complexity of IT resources as well as inefficiency of Information system management and redundant investment. Thus, the idea of EA (Enterprise Architecture) was developed in order to manage the IT resources efficiently but the systematical guideline was insufficiently provided in data area.. Because of this, it is necessary to make full use of DRM (Data Reference Model) so we can enhance the sharing and reuse of data between several institutions in public sector by extracting and managing data behind processes. In this study, we recognize the necessity of improvement on data classification which is highly utilized and present the direction for the data classification rethesis.
