Wearing Practices and Consumer Needs for Stockings (스타킹의 착용실태와 소비자 요구도)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate to wearing practices and consumer needs for stockings. 503 subjects were surveyed in 2002. Data were analyzed by frequency, $\chi$$^2$, ANONA(LSD) and factor analysis. The results were as follows; 1) Many subjects considered the colors, but a very few of them considered the components and handling signs when purchase their stockings. These tendencies show meaningful differences according to their ages, jobs and the status of whether they are married or single. The wearing rates of stockings show differences according to their physical characteristics and social demographical variables. 2) They demand that the exact fiber contents and the mixture ratios which the stockings have should be indicated, and also want the sizes of the stockings to be indicated by three steps according to their body sizes, and they ask that the stockings have more various colors. They required that the stockings should have good ventilation, durability, warmth-keeping, hygroscopicity and elasticity in leg parts, and anti static electricity or bacteria.

  • 영화, 애니메이션, 게임 등 디지털 문화 컨텐츠에서 의상을 입은 캐릭터들의 사실성이 강조되는데, 기존의 패션 CAD나 의상 애니메이션 소프트웨어들은 디자인에 있어서 여러 단계의 작업을 거쳐야 하고 의상 디자인의 전문성을 요구한다 특히, 최근 우리 문화 원형의 디지털 컨텐츠화로 디지털 한복의 수요가 증가하고 있으며, 한복은 재단이나 착용방식 등에서 양복과는 구성학적 차이점을 지님에도 불구하고 디지털 한복 제작을 위한 전문 시뮬레이션 도구는 전무하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 전통적인 한복의 제작에서 사용하는 신체 치수 측정방법과 옷본 및 체형에 따른 사이즈 조정 방법을 지식베이스로 구축하였다. 이를 통해 한복에 대한 사전 지식이 업는 사용자들도 가상 캐릭터에 쉽게 한복을 착용 시킬 수 있는 지식 기반 한복 드레이핑 방법을 제안한다.

Studies on The Reutilization of Used School Uniform of Middle and High School Students (중.고등학생의 교복 재활용 활성화에 관한 연구)

  • Purchasing used school uniforms is to reduce environmental pollution and expenses, and to enhance a feeling of wearing satisfaction for school uniforms by improving size fitting. In order to improve reutilization of used school uniforms, uniform purchasing behavior, awareness of the reutilizing markets of used school uniforms, and the running conditions of reutilizing markets of used school uniforms were analyzed through the survey. The subjects are 741 students of middle and high schools in Seoul and Kyeonggi Province in this study. The results are as follows. First, the better-fitted uniforms students wear, the higher satisfaction they feel. Therefore, it is desirable for students to wear the uniforms which are well fitted for each student. Second, the higher aware of environment students are and the more environmental preservation behavior they do, the higher awareness of wearing used school uniforms they are. In order to enhance students' awareness of reutilizing markets of used school uniforms, it is important to educate students about the environment systematically and to promote recycling events. Third, the reasons for not purchasing used school uniforms are difficulty in access to the repurchasing market and the sanitary problem. Therefore, it is suggested that environmental education which boosts students' awareness of environment and reutilization events should be held to make reutilizing markets of used school uniforms vigorous. Moreover, it is necessary to make reutilizing markets easy to access and improve cleaning and repairing system.

  • 머리형태의 근간이 되는 두개골의 형태는 두개골이 나타내는 선에 따라 인종적 특징을 뚜렷이 나타낼 뿐 아니라 같은 집단 내에서도 개인차가 크며 복잡한 곡면구조를 가지고 있다. 더욱이 머리 형태는 두개부 뿐만 아니라 얼굴부위와 연결되어 매우 세밀하고 복잡한 구조를 지니고 있을 뿐 아니라, 인간의 생명과 직결된 매우 중요한 부위이다. 그러므로 모자와 헬멧을 비롯하여 고글, 안전모, 안경 등 머리 및 얼굴에 착용되는 산업제품의 안전하고 유용한 설계를 위하여 이러한 부위들의 정확한 치수와 형태파악을 필요로 한다. (중략)

A study on women's perceived body size for developing virtual fitting model in e-retailing of apparel (인터넷 의류 판매용 가상피팅모델의 개발을 위한 여성의 신체치수 인지에 관한 연구)

  • With rapid expansion in e-retailing of apparel business, the virtual fitting model is used for comparing fit of the selected garments. The researchers experimented women's perceived body size for developing virtual fitting model. 50 women who were 20's in age were participated in the experiment They were graduate students with clothing & textile major. The results of this study showed that the subjects perceived themselves with fuller figure at waist or hips and with shorter figure at waist height than their actual body site. Many subjects believed that their body sizes were close to the average site. Especially, subjects whose abdomen girth of hip girth was much larger than average thought that they have relatively flat abdomen. It was concluded that not only the user's body measurements but also user's perception on their figure type are needed to be considered in the process of developing virtual fitting model for e-retailing of apparel. It was expected that the virtual fitting model of extraordinary size body would not be accepted by the female consumers even though they are extra large or small size person in reality.

Wearing Conditions of Outdoor Jacket for Senior Men and Research for Actual Product Size of Outdoor Brands (시니어 남성의 아웃도어 재킷착용실태 및 아웃도어 브랜드 제품치수조사)

  • This study analyzes the wearing and purchasing conditions of outdoor jackets by senior men who are over 50s, and examines product sizes of outdoor jackets in the market. A total of 134 questionnaires and sizing systems (or product size) of 10 outdoor brands were used as analytical data. The results were: a high number of senior men enjoyed hiking as an outdoor activity, with most of them following this activity1-3 times per month and as a preferred personal activity for over 5 years. Most needed outdoor wear suitable for these daily life activities. Outdoor wear satisfaction tends to decrease as people age. The major reason for the dissatisfaction with outdoor wear was price. Senior men aged 50s and 60s emphasize design and color when purchasing outdoor wear; however, men in their 70s considered price a priority. Senior men preferred outdoor brands based on a comfortable fit. An investigation on 10 outdoor brands indicated that they had not designated a specific target customer. A comparison of the product size of outdoor jackets with a similar silhouette indicated some deviations among sizes; however, the age of customers was not considered. The human body tends to shrink in stature and increase in girth as a person ages; consequently, we need to reflect body shape changes and senior's size in outdoor wear.

Survey on Actual Wearing and Size Dissatisfaction with Jeans for Upper Grade Elementary School Girls (학령 후기 여아의 청바지 착용실태 및 치수 불만족 조사)

  • This study identified actual wearing and size dissatisfaction with jeans worn by upper grade elementary school girls. A survey was conducted on 147 10~12-year-old girls in order to collect basic data to design a slim fit jeans pattern for upper grade elementary school girls. The result of the study are as follows. Upper grade elementary school girls wore jeans at least once a week, 46.9% were 1~2 times, 31.3% were 3~4 times and 21.8% were more than 5 times per week. The size of the jeans they wear was often one size or two sizes larger than the actual height section. Upper grade elementary school girls preferred jeans that fit well and allow for a full range of motion; in addition, waist and hip measurements were important criteria when selecting size. The preferred length of jeans was those that go to the ankle along with slim-style jeans made of "cotton+spandex". In terms of dissatisfaction with jeans, upper grade elementary school girls showed discomfort when the lower back waistline slipped when sitting and when there was a tight crotch area.   • A web based virtual try-on provides customers a more enjoyable shopping experience that visualize clothes on personal mannequin. The researchers compared virtual fitting models which were developed in 2000 at Korea and in 2000 and 2002 at U.S. The results of this study as follows: The information about user's body size was required to input for selection of a virtual fitting model. 7 to 19 different body size, shape, and face features including weight and height were needed for visualizing virtual fitting model. The body type of the U.S virtual fitting model(My virtual model) was selected by front view silhouette for women, and by shoulder width and midriff silhouette for men. The more detailed information was required for developing Korean virtual fitting model. The additional body size information required in the site were leg and arm lengths, waist length, and thigh and ankle circumferences. The body proportion of Korean cyber personal mannequin was longer and narrower than the U.S cyber personal mannequin. It was recommended that standardized body length, width, and depth proportions calculated from national anthropometric data must be applied for developing Korean virtual fitting model. With application of more detailed information on face feature and advanced graphic image technology the 'My virtual model in 2002 resembled the human body shape of various race.

A Study on Wearing Conditions and Dissatisfaction With Current Motorcycle Wear in Korea -Focus on Men′s Motorcycle Jacket- (국내 모터사이클복의 착용실태 및 불만족도에 관한 연구 -남성용 모터사이클 쟈켓을 중심으로-)

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 국내의 서울시내에 거주하는 모터사이클을 타는 만20세 이상의 남성을 대상으로 모터사이클복에 대한 착용실태와 불만사항들을 조사하고 이를 연령별, 모터사이클 유형별로 비교 분석하여 착용감 및 안전성이 향상된 모터사이클복 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제시 하고자 하였다. 설문조사는 2002년 1월~3월까지 3개월간 총 400부를 배부한 후 회수하고, 이 중 262부를 분석자료로 사용하여 빈도 및 백분율, 평균 등의 기술 통계치를 얻어 전반적인 착용현황을 알아보고, 교차분석을 실시한 후 X$^2$-검증을 실시하여 연령별, 모터사이클 유형별, 운행경력 별로 통계적인 차이를 비교 분석하였다. 1. 모터사이클복의 착용실태 및 불만사항 전반에 관한 조사결과, 조사대상자는 20대~40대의 운행경력은 5년 이상인 전문 라이더들이 많았으며 모터사이클의 배기량은 400cc이상이 가장 높게 나타났고, 모터사이클 유형은 로드 바이크가 가장 높게 나타났고, 이용목적은 레져.취미용, 선호하는 모터사이클복 아이템별 소재는 원피스와 슬랙스의 경우에는 피혁소재가 쟈켓의 경우에는 텍스타일 소재가 높게 나타났다. 아이템별 소유는 쟈켓과 투피스가 높게 나타났고, 보호구가 필요하다고 생각되는 신체부위는 상의에서는 가슴과 팔꿈치, 하의에서는 무릎으로 나타났으며, 무릎보호대의 소유도가 가장 높게 나타났다. 모터사이클복 주된 착용목적은 '부상방지', 모터사이클복을 착용하지 않는 이유는 '움직이기가 불편해서' '가격이 비싸서' '여름철에 더워서'가 각각 높게 나타났다. 모터사이클복에 대한 불만족도에서 동작적합성과 사이즈에 대한 불만도가 높게 나타났고, 모터사이클복소재 및 내부 장착 보호장구의 경량화가 요구되었으며, 모터사이클 쟈켓의 치수부적합부위는 소매길이가 가장높게 나타났다. 2. 전체 응답자의 연령을 20대, 30대, 40대 이상으로 나누어 연령별 차이를 비교한 결과 각각의 문항에 대해서 모두 연령대별로 유의차가 인정되었다. 3. 모터사이클복 아이템별 선호소재 문항에서 원피스와 쟈켓에서 모터사이클 기종별 유의차가 나타났는데, 비즈니스 기종에 서는 텍스타일 소재를, 아메리칸크루져 기종에서는 피혁소재를 선호하였다. 로드바이크와 오프로드 기종에서는 원피스는 피혁소재를 선호하였고, 쟈켓은 텍스타일 소재를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다.
