Validation of a Self-instructional Foodservice Inventory Control System Module (집단 급식소 재고 관리 시스템에 관한 자기학습식 Module의 타당성 검증)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 1) 집단 급식소의 재고 관리 시스템에 관한 자기학습식 Module (Self-instructional Module)을 개발하고, 2) 비동등 통계 실험연구 디자인 (Nonequivalent Control group research design)을 사용하요 자기학습식 재고 관리 시스템 Module의 교육적 효과를 평가하여, 3) 교육기관 및 집단 급식소에서의 교육용 교재로서의 타당성 여부를 검증하고자 함이다. 집단급식소의 재고 관리 시스템에 관한 자기학습식 Module을 개발하기 위해서 현재 미국 전역의 가정대학 내의 식품영양 및 급식경양학과에서 재고 관리에 관련된 교과목을 위하여 채택되어 사용되어지고 있는 주요 교과서들의 내용 분석과 급식경영학 전공 교수 3인의 판단에 기초를 두어 재고관리에 포함되어야 할 내용이 분석되었다. 포함되어져 있는 내용의 목차는 반입(receiving), 저장(storing), 출고(issuing), 재고통제(inventory control), 재고의 자산적 가치(inventory valuation) 및 재고관리 시스템의 자동화(inventory control computer system)등이다. 실험 대상은 Iowa 주립대학에서 급식정보관리 (Foodservice Management Information System) 과목을 수강하였던 88명의 학생이며, 강의를 통해 수업을 받은 통제집단 46명과, 자기 학습식 Module을 사용했던 실험집단 42명으로 구성되었다. 모든 실험 대상에게는 사전검사(Pretest)와 사후검사(posttest)를 실시하였으며 자료의 처리는 SPSS PC Package를 통계법으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 강의 중심의 통제집단과 자기학습식 Module을 사용했던 실험집단 간의 통제 후 평균 값(posttest adjusted mean score)사이에는 유의적인 차이를 보였으며 (p<0.05), 자기 학습식 Module 그룹에 속해 있던 학생들이 더 높은 통제 후 평균값(adjusted mean score)을 보여 주었다. 그러므로, 이 실험을 통하여, 개발된 집단 급식소 재고관리 시스템에 대한 자기학습식 Module은 학생들에게 재고관리 시스템에 관한 개념과 내용의 습득력을 향상시키는데 있어서 적어도 강의식 교수법과 동일하거나 더나은 교육적 효과를 가져왔다고 판단되었다.

Effects of Instructional Method Using Think-Aloud Paired Problem Solving and Mole-Map (해결자.청취자 활동과 몰 지도를 사용한 문제해결 교수 방법의 효과)

  • This study investigated the effects of an instructional method which consists of think-aloud paired problem solving (TAPPS) and mole-map. Three classes (100 students) of a high school were assigned to the control, the TAPPS, and the TAPPS with mole-map (M-TAPPS) groups. Prior to the instructions, students' perceptions of learning environment were examined. Tests of mole conception, problem solving ability, and perception of learning environment were administered after the instructions. Two-way ANCOVA results indicated that the high-level students in the TAPPS group performed better in the conception test than those in the control and the M-TAPPS groups. However, there was no significant difference among the three groups in problem solving ability. The scores of involvement for the TAPPS group were significantly higher than those for the control group.

  • This paper observed the effect of CAS calculator usage while studying algebra on the achievement of low-achievement students. Participants were composed of 70 low-achievement tenth grade students from a high school located in a metropolitan city. That had never used a mathematics educational calculator before. Target participants were divided into two groups: an experiment group that studied activity papers with the aid of a CAS calculator, and a control group that studied the same activity papers using only paper-and-pencil. The content of the activity papers for the two groups was the same, but the structure differed. Content consisted of numbers and operations, equations and inequalities(character and expressions), and functions. Students in the experiment group exhibited matacognition learning using a CAS calculator. The two groups completed mathematics achievement tests both before and after the activity papers. Therefore, ANCOVA analysis results showed that compared to the pretest, results of the experiment group improved considerably more than the control group.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of peer relation improvement program on peer relation in children of multi-cultural families. To test of the effectiveness of the program, this study employed pretest-posttest control group design. Total 18 multi-cultural families' children have completed the program, 9 children were in experimental group, whereas 9 ones belonged to control group, the date were analyzed by Wilcoxon singed rank test and Mann-Whitney U test. As the result, The peer relation improvement program was verified to effect on children' peer relation Improvement The limitations of the study were discussed, as well as the application of the study results and recommendations for additional exploratory research.

A Study on the Characteristics and Differences of User Groups on Library Catalogs (도서관목록 이용자의 집단별 특성과 차이에 관한 연구)

  • The importance of users on library catalogs cannot be overemphasized. However little is verified about how well the users' needs have been met. The purpose of this research is to explore the characteristics and differences between user groups on library catalogs, and to draw implications for follow-up research. To the end, this research classified the users into four groups: elementary students, middle and high school students, college students, and the general public. Investigated are unique features and differences in searching behavior on library catalogs between the four groups. The data was collected through a survey with 544 users, and analyzed for both frequency test and Chi-square test. The major research results shows that there were statistically meaningful differences between the four groups. Also discussed are several suggestions for more in-depth research.

The Effects of a Group Art Therapy Program based on Mindfulness Meditation on the Job Stress and Interpersonal Relationships of Office Workers (마음챙김 명상을 기반으로 한 집단미술치료 프로그램이 직장인의 직무스트레스와 대인관계에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to test the effects of a group art therapy program based on mindfulness meditation for job stress and interpersonal relationships of office workers. For this purpose, a Total 24 office workers wishing to participate in the study voluntarily were selected. They were then randomly assigned to the experiment or control group which consisted of 12 people each. The experiment group participated in the program for a total of 12 sessions(a 90-minute session twice per week) over six weeks. The main findings were as follows: first, the office workers of the experiment group made a decrease in overall job stress and its subfactor including stress symptoms and outcomes after the group art therapy program; and secondly, they made a decrease in overall interpersonal relationships and their subfactor including dominance, retaliation, indifference, social avoidance, non-assertiveness, non-exploitation, devotion, and interference after the program. These findings demonstrate that the group art therapy program based on mindfulness meditation was effective for reducing the stress of office workers and enhancing their interpersonal relationships.

The Influence of Leader's Age and Leader Selection on Group Decision Making (리더의 나이와 리더 선출법이 집단 의사 결정에 미치는 영향)

  • This research examined whether there are differences in group decision making between senior leader groups and junior leader groups. Results revealed that senior leaders contributed more during the discussion than junior leaders, and groups with senior leaders performed better than the groups with junior leaders. In post-discussion activities group members noted that senior leaders were able to represent their groups better, and showed better leadership during discussion. On the other hand, the leader's age impacted differently depending on leader selection methods. For senior leaders, leaders randomly assigned were perceived to be more beneficial to groups. However for junior leaders, leaders systematically selected were perceived to represent their groups better and exhibit better leadership. The interaction between leader's age and leader selection seems to arise from a difference of leader's power bases.

Effects of Programming-based TPACK Education Program on the Teaching Expertise of Pre-service Teachers

  • This study analyzes the effects of programming-based TPACK education programs, designed by Kim and Lee (2019), on the teaching expertise of pre-service teachers. The research subjects were 40 pre-service teachers, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group underwent the programming-based TPACK education program, and the control group used an ICT-based TPACK education program. A test tool was used to measure not only teaching expertise but also teaching efficacy and self-efficacy beliefs about technology integration. As a result of the study, teaching expertise, teaching efficacy, and self-efficacy beliefs about technology integration improved significantly in the experimental group. The pretest showed no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group, but in the post-test, the experimental group showed significantly higher teaching expertise than the control group. These results showed that the programming-based TPACK education program is effective for developing teaching expertise in pre-service teachers.

Navigation Learning Ability and Visuospatial Functioning of Mild Cognitive Impairment Patients in Virtual Environments (경도인지장애환자의 가상환경 내 길찾기 학습능력과 시공간 기능에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigated the navigation ability of patients with MCI in Virtual Environments(VE) and on the visual functioning. The participants consisted of elderly adults with/without MCI. Neuropsychological tests(RCFT, BVRT, TMT, and Digit Span), the Groton Maze Learning Test(12trials), and the VE navigation learning task(6 trials) were performed. As a result, there were significant group differences for the RCFT and BVRT, but not for the GMLT. For the VE task, there was a significant difference between the MCI and normal group and no interactions between the groups and trials were found. The VE task was correlated with The RCFT, the BVRT, and the GMLT and omnibus the RCFT and the BVRT accounted for 45% of VE performances. Thus, we concluded that patients with MCI are inferior to VE navigation and visual retention/memory play a role in navigation abilities.

Genetic Differentiation of the Largemouth Bass Micropterus salmoides from the Major Rivers and Reservoirs in Korea Assessed by AFLP (우리나라 주요 강과 호수에 분포하는 외래어종 배스 Micropterus salmoides의 AFLP 분석에 의한 유전적 분화)

  • Genetic diversity and differentiation within or among nine populations of introduced fish, largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides were assessed by AFLP. The AFLP analysis using three primer combinations generated 299.2. AFLP bands and percentage of polymorphic bands were similar in those nine populations, ranging 14.1 to 21%. Heterozygosity and genetic diversity within or among populations were quite low for all of these populations with average values ranging from 0.054 to 0.067 and from 0.069 to 0.085, respectively. Analyses of pairwise distance and genetic similarity among nine populations of Micropterus salmoides also revealed the similar results with low genetic differentiation one another. Although pairwise Fst values were low, they were indicated a clear distinct genetic differentiation among the nine populations. These results indicate that very small population of the largemouth bass was first introduced to Paldang reservoir and they are widely spread at most of aquatic habitats in Korea.
