This study investigates the information use behavior of Korean youths in a virtual information grounds. The concept of a physical information ground is expanded to include virtual spaces. A variety of hobbies and peer groups of Korean youths are considered to determine the characteristics of these youths. The study was formulated and conducted using group interviews for pretest and a survey given to respondents who are junior high and high school students in Seoul. It is expected that the findings and proposals will be used for planning educational programs and information services in school libraries.

This study examined undergraduates' health information needs, information seeking behaviors, and their perceptions of credibility of health information in social media environments. Interviews with 22 undergraduates revealed that social media was used mainly in a preventive stage or in a health maintenance stage. The perceptions of credibility of health information widely differed according to the type of social media. This finding indicated the need for health information literacy education that could help undergraduates effectively evaluate and acquire health information online.

본 연구는 초기의 기대와는 달리 침체된 수요를 보이고 있는 공중무선랜서비스의 수요 지체 원인을 분석한다. 공중무선랜서비스의 수요는 정부의 주파수 정책, 사업자간 로밍 전략, 휴대용 단말기의 기술력과보급률, 사업 전략과 고객의 행태 등이 복잡하게 얽혀 있다. 본 연구에서는 특히 고객의 행태에 초점을 맞추어 수요 지체원인을 분석하고 사업자에게 시사점을 제공한다. 이를 위해 서비스의 잠재 고객을 정의한후 이들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 설문 결과에 로지스틱 회귀분석을 적용하여 서비스 가입 의사결정에 주요한 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석한다. 분석결과 매월 지불비용과 NIC 가격이 잠재 고객의 서비스 가입에 결정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 판명되었다. 또한 서비스 가입에 있어서 집단심리 효과가 존재하는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

Recently, teenagers show big purchasing power in retail industry. Online shopping malls re also in similar situation. Therefore online shopping mall companies want to manage teenager customers properly. This study is about understanding current status of teenager customers in online shopping mall industry and deriving strategy for management of teenager customers based on the status. Successful CRM for teenager customers can be achieved by building a segmentation of customers along with their behaviors and needs. Each segment should be managed by proper communication plan which is differentiated in accordance with segment characteristics.

This study analyzes the authorship of all articles published in four domestic LIS journals over a 20-year period from 2002 to 2021 to examine the current status of scholarly communication through Korean LIS journals and suggest future prospects. To achieve this purpose, the study analyzed the number of co-authors, the proportion of returning authors, the publishing preference index (PPI), the author group change trend, and the researcher attraction index (RAI). The analysis revealed the level of collaborative research in each journal, the degree of formation of related author groups by journal, the inflection point of author group changes, the characteristics of emerging researchers, and the degree of author sharing between journals. Overall, 2015 was found to be an inflection point where the author community of Korean LIS journals changed. The newer generation of researchers showed a slightly different behavior of publishing papers than the older generation, as they mainly conduct collaborative research. These quantitative results could be triangulated with the qualitative interview data of previous studies to further strengthen the development strategy of Korean LIS journals.

This study compared and analyzed the connection use, using behaviors and life satisfaction of paid users and free users in accordance with the business models of convergence N-screen service providers. It also analyzed factors that influence users' satisfaction at a personal life level, a relationship-based life level and a group-based life level. The study result showed the different connection use levels of broadcast contents by paid and free users of the N-screen service have a statistically significant meaning. The result also showed the personal satisfaction level of paid users is higher than that of free users. It also turned out that factors that influence life satisfaction differ according to whether or not the users paid for the service. Also, academic background and content consumption expenses affected life satisfaction level of free users while connection use of broadcast contents affected the one of paid users. This study provided an insight on the current domestic N-screen market situation and suggested business strategies which could help find business models.

The concept of neighborhood parks has been used as the principle of forming a community in our society going through modern and contemporary times. The concept of neighborhood parks equipped with physical facilities has been discussed constantly regarding the roles and meanings of them. This study focuses on pocket parks which have been playing roles in improving environment through regeneration and forming regional communities based on that as neighborhood facilities. This author carried out field investigation on total 72 Hanpyeong Park and Hanpyeom Parks formed in the capital area and examined the significance of planning them and also their utility and residents and users' attachment to them through a survey. In this process, this researcher has been able to draw following conclusions. First, according to the demographic characteristics of users, there is significant difference found by groups in terms of their place attachment to the parks. This implies that difference in the major types of residences supplied these days influences their intention to experience ecological space. Second, according to their educational background, there is significant difference found by groups regarding their place attachment to the parks. Third, according to user behavior, there are differences found in their place attachment to the parks and also detailed differences found by groups in terms of the frequency of use and duration of stay.

This study is a quasi experimental study to investigate the effects of stroke prevention education program of Oriental Nursing on self-health perception, health behavior change, self-care and physiological index of adults over 55 years old and elderly people. The data were collected from August 12 to November 29, 2017. The 53 study subjects comprised 26 experimental subjects who agreed to participate in the education program and 27 control subjects. In the results, there was no statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in general characteristics and research variables before the program; further, the two groups were homogenous. In the hypothesis test, the change in self-health perceptions of the experimental and control groups was t = -5.28 (p <.001), health behavior change was t = -4.24 (p <.001), self-care was t = -5.28 (p <.05), systolic blood pressure was t = 2.48 (p <.05), diastolic blood pressure was t = 2.78 (p <.05), and cholesterol was t = -3.94 (p <.001). There were statistically significant differences between the two groups and all four hypotheses were supported, which demonstrated the effectiveness of the program. These study results suggest that it is an effective program to change the self-perception of health and health behavior, improve self-care ability, and control the physiological index. It is expected that these findings will be useful in developing a future effective oriental nursing intervention. The education program should be continuously carried out, and the area needs to be expanded.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the usage behavior of Seoullo 7017, the first public garden in Korea, to understand the usage status by analyzing blogs, and to present usage behavior and improvement plans for Seoullo 7017. From June 2017 to May 2020, after Seoullo 7017 was open to citizens, character data containing 'Seoullo 7017' in the title and contents of NAVER and·DAUM blogs were converted to text mining and socialization, a Big Data technique. The analysis was conducted using social network analysis. The summary of the research results is as follows. First of all, the ratio of men and women searching for Seoullo 7017 online is similar, and the regions that searched most are in the order of Seoul and Gyeonggi, and those in their 40s and 50s were the most interested. In other words, it can be seen that there is a lack of interest in regions other than Seoul and Gyeonggi and among those in their 10s, 20s, and 30s. The main behaviors of Seoullo 7017 are' night view' and 'walking', and the factors that affect culture and art are elements related to culture and art. If various programs and festivals are opened and actively promoted, the main behavior will be more varied. On the other hand, the main behavior that the users of Seoullo 7017 want is 'sit', which is a static behavior, but the physical conditions are not sufficient for the behavior to occur. Therefore, facilities that can cause sitting behavior, such as shades and benches must be improved to meet the needs of visitors. The peculiarity of the change in the behavior of Seoullo 7017 is that it is recognized as a good place to travel alone and a good place to walk alone as a public multi-use facility and group activities are restricted due to COVID-19. Accordingly, in a situation like the COVD-19 pandemic, more diverse behaviors can be derived in facilities where people can take a walk, etc., and the increase of various attractions and the satisfaction of users can be increased. Seoullo 7017, as Korea's first public pedestrian area, was created for urban regeneration and the efficient use of urban resources in areas beyond the meaning of public spaces and is a place with various values such as history, nature, welfare, culture, and tourism. However, as a result of the use behavior analysis, various behaviors did not occur in Seoullo 7017 as expected, and elements that hinder those major behaviors were derived. Based on these research results, it is necessary to understand the usage behavior of Seoullo 7017 and to establish a plan for spatial system and facility improvement, so that Seoullo 7017 can be an important place for urban residents and a driving force to revitalize the city.
