Objective : The purpose of this study is learning the characteristics of literature applying single subject researches in the field of sensory integration therapy of Korean occupational therapy and evaluating the quality level of them. Methods : Analyzed the characteristics of 17 single subject research papers (independent variable, study design, study subject, total number of session, study period, intervention time, intervention place, dependent variable, measuring tool and result) published between 2002 and 2013 using the document delivery service of Korean Society of Occupational Therapy, National Discovery for Science Leaders (NDSL), Nuri Media (DBpia), Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), Korean Studies Information Service System (KISS) and National Assembly Library and evaluated the literatures using quality evaluation scale. Results : According to the analysis result on the literature characteristics, reversal design was the most used study method. Total number of session was 10 sessions to 34 sessions. Study period was 4 weeks to 16 weeks. Intervention time was 8 minutes to 70 minutes and most interventions were done in occupational therapy room or sensory integration therapy room. According to the result of quality level evaluation, 4 papers out of 17 papers were on high level and remaining papers were on intermediate level. However, there was no study which included intervention blind. Conclusion : Suggested standards that need to be supplemented and discussions on qualitative improvement including repetitive research on the mediation effect during the application of the single subject research methodology, the securement of adequate data sections, and processing of a mediation blind. It is expected to be used as basic data for conducting a better qualitative research in the future.

The purpose of this study was to examine what kind of changes adolescents experienced in the process of returning from the school dropout. For this purpose, 'Qualitative Meta-Analysis' was conducted for seven papers of this area, which was published in Korean journals as a method. 'Qualitative Meta-Analysis' is a method of presenting new interpretations by synthesizing qualitative studies on the same topic. In this study, the qualitative research on the process of returning from the school dropout was selected. The final articles selected for the analysis were seven articles published in domestic journals. The results obtained by comparing and analyzing the selected individual papers were as follows. For adolescents, a series of the process of returning from school dropout was 'self-growth through introspection and support.' In this process, there were five stages of change: abandonment, drifting, self-awareness, decisive action, and struggles. Relevant factors that led to this change were self-perception, the awareness of a reality, resources and support. Based on these results, the characteristics of each step were explained and discussed. Finally, the implications and limitations of the study were clarified and the follow-up study was proposed for more detailed examination.

In theory, mixed methods that incorporate both quantitative and qualitative approaches can maximize strengths of each method while minimize the short comings of each. Mixed methods research is a feature of educational research nowadays, and the number of studies applied mixed methods research has been gradually increasing. This study investigates how mixed methods research was applied in the field of mathematic education, especially focusing on how qualitative and quantitative methods are combined to best address their research questions. With this in mind, this study carefully selects and analyzes 4 research articles that used mixed methods and were published by Journal of Elementary Mathematics Education in Korea in 2015. This study provides detailed result of qualitative analysis on mixed methods research while other a few previous analysis on mixed methods research were tend to focusing on quantitative analysis, producing numeric quantitative information. The result of this study provides practical and in-depth analysis on how to improve validity and possibility of mixed methods research, addressing alternative ways to combine two different research methods and key elements to take into account.

This study aims to provide philosophical frameworks and approaches, and practical guidelines to interview research. While there are some studies which focus on the practical guidelines, there is a lack of studies which address the philosophical and conceptual issues integral to qualitative interview research. By discussing three different but related philosophical aspects of qualitative interviewing--phenomenology, hermeneutics, and dialectics--consistency among research purpose, research method, research methodology is pursued. Based on this discussion, four stages of interviewing--designing, conducting, analyzing, and writing of qualitative interview research--are presented.

This study analyzes life experiences and prospects of poverty/welfare exit of the poor with work ability utilizing Mixed methodology. Based on Sequential Exploratory Design, it qualitatively analyzes 3 waves of qualitative panel data linked to Korea Welfare Panel Study(KWPS) and presents life changes of 14 poor in the context of their prospects of welfare/poverty exit. Then it proposes hypotheses on the role of education, household economy expectation, self-esteem in the prospects of poverty/welfare exit following the sequential exploratory design to quantitatively test qualitative findings utilizing KWPS(7th). The outcomes of the Structural Equation Model(SEM) suggest that household economy expectation plays mediating role between education and the prospects of welfare/poverty exit. This implies that anti-poverty policy needs to consider a psychological approach to enhance household economy expectations of the poor as well as other material support.

The aim of this study is to evaluate Korea's employment policy for people with disabilities by utilizing situational feasibility evaluation of Fisher's multi-dimensional policy evaluation methods (1995, 2003). A number of related studies conducted so far have been focused only on quantitative research methods. In other words, balanced and comprehensive evaluation studies were insufficient. Therefore, this study attempted a balanced policy evaluation through a qualitative or phenomenological approach that complements the limitations of the existing empirical methodology. In this study, the sub-topics for evaluation were divided into employment delivery system, employment program, and institutional employment environment for people with disabilities. Improvement measures and policy implications for each topic were presented. In order to improve employment services and jobs for people with disabiliyies, it was suggested that there is a need to strengthen linkages and cooperation between institutions, eliminate blind spots in employment services, improve quality, expand customized employment services, strengthen programs, improve policy and institutional environments, and strengthen individual psychological and emotional support.

본 연구는 실증주의적 연구방법에 근거한 스포츠마케팅 연구에 자연주의적 접근방법을 소개하고 Ethnographic 면접방법의 적용가능성을 제안하기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 이를 위해 스포츠마케팅의 선행연구들의 특성과 연구동향을 검토하고 해설적 연구와 질적분석의 필요성을 제시함과 동시에 Ethnographic면접 방법을 소개하고 스포츠마케팅 연구에 유용성을 제시하였다. Spradly(1996)가 제시한 12단계의 연구과정을 6단계로 축약하고 각 단계에서 의 연구내용을 제시하였다. 또한 스포츠마케팅의 적용분야로 스포츠상품의 생산자인 선수 와 관람소비자의 역할 규명 연구, 스포츠마케팅의 소비과정과 고객만족 연구. 매체를 통 한 소비상황과 서비스적 요인 연구, 스포츠마케팅의 연구영역 등에 적용가능성을 제시하 였다.

The purpose of this study was to meta-synthesize the results of qualitative research that explored the experiences of nursing care in a domestic nurse to understand the phenomenon. The research method was a qualitative meta-synthesis study, which was analyzed using Thomas and Harden's methods. This was analyzed by searching for quality assessments for individual studies, extracting data for analysis, and meta-synthesizing the results. As a result of the study, it appeared as five synthetic themes. 1) Disaster nursing that begins with anxiety and fear, 2) Disaster nursing process: An atmosphere that feels even loneliness and burden in isolation and disconnection, 3) Disaster nursing process: Being in a poor and diverse environment, 4) Disaster nursing process: Although exhausted Endure and overcome. 5) After disaster care: A leap forward for development beyond mission and self-esteem. Conclusion, this study is expected to be a useful basic data for the development and application of nurse's disaster nursing programs and educational programs in the future.

Despite the important of qualitative research method, little is used to understand dress and culture in Korea. This study proposed qualitative research method to understand deeply cultural aspects of dress. The articles which were selected from J. of Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, The Korean Society of Costume, Clothing and Textiles Research Journal, Home Economics Research Journal, published master's thesis and doctoral dissertation, and interdisciplinary articles were analyzed from 1977～1999. Based on results of the analysis of articles, it was found that qualitative research method was appropriate to understand dress and culture. Many articles were dealt with non-western culture. However, the use of qualitative research method is very well suited to help the researcher understand concepts that are deeply embedded in western culture. Implications pertain to researcher in the area of human behavior and marketing. The importance of dependability and credibility was discussed in qualitative research method.

This study was on autobiographical traditions, in particular, autobiographies of teachers. First, autobiographical method was suggested as a kind of qualitative inquiry on the teaching mathematics. Second, as a case of autobiographical method, autobiographies of an elementary school teacher were presented. In the case, the author of autobiographies was also a researcher. It showed the struggles of elementary school teacher to know and to practice her teaching mathematical patterns. Autobiographies of teachers can be used as good sources for reflection of teachers, and also as a method for teachers education. And then, for communicating with teaching strategies among teachers in communities, they can be used. One the other hand, autobiographies of teachers can be powerful materials for researches on teaching.
