  • This study was performed to evaluate sedation with quantitative electroencephalography (EEG) analysis in dogs. EEG is used to evaluate objectively the effects of CNS acting with brain and behavioral changes. Especially, spectral edge frequency 95 (SEF 95) parameter is an effective method to determine the sedative status. The SEF 95 is the frequency below 95% of the total power. Twelve healthy intact male Miniature Schnauzer dogs, which did not show any neurological abnormalities and disease, were used for the study. EEG electrodes were inserted in subcutaneous tissue over the calvaria without entering adjacent muscles. The EEG data were acquired and analyzed by EEG raw wave and spectral edge frequency 95 analysis. After the administration of sedatives, the SEF 95 values were shown the significant changes compared with the normal state In all groups (p<0.05). It is suggested that SEF 95 analysis is useful method for assessing the state of sedation in dogs.

  • True amino acid availability (TAAA) and true metabolizable energy(TME) values of 8 protein feedstuffs were determined by feeding three roosters exactly 30g of each protein feedstuff after 36h of fasting. From each rooster excreta were collected for 36 h. TAAA were significantly(P<0.01) different among protein feedstuffs. TAAA was highest in fish meal(96.1%), followed by corn gluten(91.2%), rapeseed meal(88.8%), soybean meal(88.7%), meat meal(87.2%), canola meal(86.1%), cottonseeed meal(82.6%) and feather meal(82.5%). Available Iysine values obtained by TAAA method were highly correlated(P<0.01) with those obtained by chick bioassay(CBA) and FDNB method. TME was highest in corn gluten(4,011kcal/kg, as fed basis), followed by fish meal(3,906), feather meal(3,098), soybean meal(3,007), meat and bone meal(2,631), canola meal(2,326), cottonseed meal(2,246) and rapeseed meal(2,120).

  • Stone cultural heritage will either be damaged by composite damage or will lose its original historical authenticity starting with the moment it is created. Various artificial interventions to restore them to their original state have been described, centering on the conservation treatment case of the Stupa of State Preceptor Jigwang from the Wonju Beopcheonsa Temple Site. Restoration of the Jigwang stone pagoda was carried out after securing all scientific and technological means for the research and protection of the cultural heritage in question. Since its restoration was promoted to retain its aesthetic and historical value and was based on a careful understanding of the original materials and prototypes, extensive restoration was sought, which contributed to the restoration of the original form, resulting in both preservation and authenticity.

  • Since the 1990s, digital technology has been actively applied in the field of heritage, and this presents a new possibility of using cultural heritage as a way to utilize the original cultural data that was previously recorded and stored. Methods of interpreting cultural heritage have been particularly diversified due to various external circumstances such as COVID-19 and time constraints, and the use of contactless digital content has played a significant role in built heritage that cannot be moved. Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology is considered as a way to properly express the authenticity of built heritage, but simply creating built heritage content with BIM cannot express the authenticity of cultural heritage. Therefore, it is necessary to show the reliability of the process of content production through an authorized institution and to provide the information of members on the content. This study intends to contribute to the field of digital heritage by suggesting ways to improve reliability and express authenticity in the production of built heritage content.
