Bionomics of the Galls Induced by Nurudea (Homoptera: Aphidoidea) (꽃오배자면충(매미목 : 진딧물상과)의 생태)

  • Gall development of Nurudea yanoniella on Rhus japonica and emergence of alatae from galls were studied in Jeonju. The galls were formed in late June to late October and slit open in late October 1999. The maximum length and width of galls marked were measured weekly during the period from gall formation to opening. The length and width of galls increased exponentially until mid August. After the 12 September the gall stopped developing Fundatrices (the first generation within the gall) began to larviposit on 24 June and the second generation developed in July to September. The alatiform of the second generation arrived at the final stadium in late September. Consequently, there were at least 4 generations within the galls. Alatae escaped from galls in early October. Correlation between gall and leaf growth indicated that fundatrix might act as a gall forming factor and 2nd-4th generations growing factor. A new species to Korean fauna, Nurudea shirai (Matsumura 1917) was found during this study.

  • 가. 자율주행 트랙터가 작업하는 동안 작동상태를 효과적으로 모니터링하고 제어할 수 있도록 하기 위해 인터넷을 통한 자율주행 트랙터의 모니터링과 원격제어 기술에 대하여 시험 하였다. 나. 트랙터를 모니터링하고 제어하는 곳과 경작지가 있는 곳을 인터넷으로 연결하고, 운전자가 탑승하지 않은 트랙터는 인터넷을 통해 전달받은 명령을 수행하도록 액튜에이터를 제어하고 제어되는 상황을 경작지에 위치한 카메라가 촬영하여 인터넷을 통하여 원격지의 운전자 쪽으로 전송하도록 시스템을 구성했다. 다. HST 트랙터 조종장치로서 서보제어가 가능한 액튜에이터를 개발 장착하고 제어성능을 시험하였다. 전자유압제어(EHPS)식 조향액튜에이터는 , 조향가능각 100도의 전범위에 조향 제어가 가능했으며 전조향에 필요한 시간은 약 1.6초 정도 였다. 피스톤 펌프의 사판각을 제어하는 전후진 제어기는 리니어 모터 구동식으로 총 제어 변위 50mm를 이동하는데 제어시간이 약 1.2초 소요되었다. 엔진 회전수를 제어하기위한 스로틀 액튜에이터는 리니어 모터 구동식으로 제어변위 30mm에 대해 제어시간이 0.8초 소요되었다. 3점 링크에 부착된 작업기의 위치를 제어하는 리프트 제어기도 리니어모터로 구동하였으며 제어거리 40mm에 대해 제어시간 0.9초정도가 소요되었다 라. 제작된 HST 무인 트랙터를 인터넷과 무선통신 시스템을 이용하여 원격 모니터링과제어 가능성에 대해 시험 했다. 인터넷을 통한 장거리 원격제어 및 모니터링 시험에서 제어신호의 전달지연은 0.3 ${\sim}$ 0.5초정도로 제어신호의 피이드 백을 확인할 때까지는 약1초정도의 대기 시간이 필요한 것으로 나타나 모니터링 및 제어 시스템의 개발 시 이를 고려할 설계가 필요한 것으로 나타났다.된 표층수온 분포값보다 2005년 2월에 관측된 표층수온 분포값이 상대적으로 낮은 분포 특성을 나타내고 있었다. 따라서 인공위성자료를 이용한 황해의 2004년 해황 분석 결과는 이상수온 상승의 원인이 쿠로시오 해류의 변동과 관련성이 높다고 판단되며 이에 대한 지속적인 연구가 현재 진행중에 있다.에 인산염 처리, 여기에 초음파 처리, 마지막 단계로 3분 끓이면 억제율이 68%까지 억제되었다. 이는 단일처리시 전혀 억제를 못하는 처리를 단계별로 한 단계씩 더해가면 allergy 억제효과가 나타난다고 할 수 있겠다. 초음파 처리도 역시 저 allergy 처리 공정에 이용될 수 있는데 이것은 그 처리로 인해 새로운 알러젠이 생성될 수도 있다. 또한 복합처리로 allergy를 감소시키면 연속적이고 동시적으로 하기 때문에 원가를 절감할 수 있다.환경현안에 대한 정치경제적 접근을 외면하지 말고 교과서 저작의 소재로 삼을 수 있어야 하며, 이는 '환경관리주의'와 '녹색소비'에 머물러 있는 '환경 지식교육'과 실천을 한단계 진전시키는 작업으로 이어질 것이다. 이후 10년의 환경교육은 바로 '생태적 합리성'과 '환경정의'라는 두 '화두'에 터하여 세워져야 한다.배액에서 약해를 보였으나, 25% 야자지방산의 경우 50 ${\sim}$ 100배액 어디에서도 액해를 보이지 않았다. 별도로 적용한 시험에서, 토마토의 경우에도 25% 야자지방산 비누 50 ${\sim}$ 100배액 모두 약해를 발생하지 않았으나, 오이에서는 25% 야자지방산 비누 100배액에도 약해를 나타내었다. 12. 이상의 결과, 천연지방산을 이용하여 유기농업에 허용되는 각종의 살충비누를 제조할 수 있었으며, 방제가 조사결과 진딧물, 응애 등 껍질이 연약한

Selection of Optimal Culture Medium for Four Entomopathogenic Fungal Isolates with Dual Activity and Evaluation of Their Antimicrobial Activity against Several Phytopathogens (이중 활성 곤충병원성 곰팡이 4균주에 대한 최적 배양 배지 선발 및 다양한 항균활성 평가)

  • Selection of the optimal culture medium and evaluation of the antimicrobial activity against various phytopathogens were performed for four entomopathogenic fungal isolates with excellent insecticidal and antimicrobial activity against the two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae), green peach aphid (Myzus persicae), and gray mold (Botrytis cinerea). The optimal medium was selected by measuring the amount of blastospore production and the antifungal activity of the culture medium. On the basis of these experiments, GY medium was selected for Beauveria bassiana 2R-3-3-1 and Metarhizium anisopliae 4-2, SD3, and PDB medium for B. bassiana SD15. The antimicrobial activity test against other phytopathogens indicated that all four isolates showed high antifungal activities against Colletotrichum acutatum and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. However, for Phytophthora capsici and C. fructicola, only M. anisopliae SD3 showed a high antifungal activity against P. capsici, and the other three isolates had little activity. Antibacterial activity against Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis was high in two isolates of M. anisopliae but not in two isolates of B. bassiana. Thus, it was confirmed that entomopathogenic fungi effective for pest control could be effectively used as a control agent for various plant diseases.

Evaluation of Toxicity of Plant Extract Made by Neem and Matrine against Main Pests and Natural Enemies (멀구슬과 고삼을 원료로 한 식물추출물의 주요해충과 천적에 대한 독성평가)

  • KNI3126 which is the eco-friendly material made by plant extracts - neem and matrine - have been evaluated for efficacies against 6 main pests and toxicity on natural enemies. Insecticidal efficacies of KNI3126 against plant hopper were above 95% at 5 days after treatment (DAT), whereas pesticidal effects against the cotton aphid were above 95% at 3 DAT and slightly decreased at 5 DAT. Insecticidal efficacy against the palm thrips resulted in lower control value as 68.1% than that of chemical insecticides. KNI3126 showed more than 95% control value against diamond back moth, suggesting that it could suppress the population of pest hard to control as eco-friendly material. Mortalities against two-spotted spider mite were about 80% at 1 DAT and over 90% at 5 DAT, respectively. For evaluation of the toxicity on natural enemies, effect against predatory natural enemy was classified as moderate selective toxicity based on the criterion of International Organization of Bio-Control (IOBC), whereas against parasitic natural enemies was found to be relatively safe. Repellent effect was weak against plant hopper, but strong against two-spotted spider mite. In the toxicity test for safety, KNI3126 was classified as the lowest level at acute oral, acute dermal and fish toxicity test and did not induce the irritancy at skin irritation test and eye irritation test.

Present Status of Smart Greenhouses Growing Fruit Vegetables in Korea: Focusing Management of Environmental Conditions and Pests in Greenhouses (한국의 과채류 재배 스마트 온실 실태: 온실 환경 및 병해충 관리)

  • Smart greenhouses are primarily used for growing fruits and vegetables, such as sweet peppers, tomatoes, strawberries. Although the number of smart greenhouses has been increasing exponentially, no studies have been performed to evaluate the state of smart greenhouses in Korea. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine current state of smart greenhouses with regard to greenhouse specifications, crop growing methods, pests, and user satisfaction in Korea. Contact information for smart greenhouses was provided by the officials of local agricultural research and extension services. This survey was conducted by visiting each greenhouse. Results showed that approximately 50% of surveyed smart greenhouses were between 3,300 ㎡ and 6,600 ㎡. The most frequently chosen method for pest control was chemical pesticides (97.1%). Powdery mildew and gray mold comprised 54.4% and 33.8% of the crop diseases, respectively. All tomato greenhouse farmers considered whiteflies the most problematic pest. In contrast, 76.5% and 70.6% of sweet pepper farmers believed thrips and aphids posed significant threats, respectively. The mean satisfaction score was 7.5 out of 10 points, with 10 being "extremely satisfied". These results will aid in decision making with respect to the management of current smart greenhouses and the design of future smart farms in Korea.

Synthesis and biological activities of Chloronicotinyl derivatives (Chloronicotinyl 유도체의 합성 및 생물활성 검정)

  • Chloronicotinyl derivatives were synthesized by substitution of amino in 3-pyridylmethylamine with phosphite groups and their insecticidal and fungicidal activities were determined. At 500 ppm, compound 4 with methyl and butyl group in phosphonate and compound 5, 6, 7, and 8 with two butyl, 2,2,2-trifluorotehtyl, 2-ethylhexyl, phenyl, respectively, in phosphonate showed 90% insecticidal activities against brown plant-hopper (Nilaparvate lugens). These compounds showed, however, poor insecticidal activities against diamond-back moth (Plutella xylostella) and two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) (<65%), suggesting that insecticidal activity of chloronicotinyl derivatives containing phosphorus moieties are species-dependent. Newly synthesized chloronicotinyl derivatives with halogen and/or heterocycle (compound $10{\sim}21$) did not show insecticidal activities. We also determined fungicidal activity of the synthesized chloronicotinyl derivatives against rice sheath blight (Pyricularia grisea), cucumber gray mold (Bortytis cinerea), tomato late blight (Phytophthora infestans), wheat leaf rust (Puccinia recondita), and barley powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis). Compound 10 with butyl and 4-nitrophenyl in phosphonate at 10 ppm showed 85% fungicidal activity against rice blast, suggesting that chloronicotinyl derivatives containing phosphorus moieties could be developed as a fungicidal agent of a novel chemical structure.

  • Phenylformamidine derivatives are well known as insecticides for their specific activity against the insects. It has now been established that they show insecticidal activity as agonists on the octopamine receptor which is located in the synapse membrane. The reaction of triethylorthoformate and fluoroanilines gave formimidates (1) in good yields and N',N'-Disubstituted N-fluorophenylformamidine derivatives were synthesized more easily by using microwave. This microwave reaction condition gave products in high yields and faster reaction time than conventional methods. All the compounds were screened for their biological activity agaist harmful insects of plant hoppers, moths, aphids and mites. Synthetic compounds of 2-I-a, 2-I-c, 2-I-d, 2-II-d showed good activity against mites and plant hoppers.

  • WTO가 진행되고 한미 FTA 협상타결로 농업농촌이 어려움을 격고 있으며 EU, 중국, 인도 등과의 FTA 협상도 검토되고 있다. 또한 소득수준 향상으로 소비자들이 웰빙 건강식품에 대한 관심이 고조되면서 이제는 농산물의 안전성과 기능성, 맛 등이 우수한 고품질 안전농산물 생산이 농업의 핵심과제로 대두되고 있다. 이와 같이 급변하는 농업여건에 대응해 나가기 위해서는 농업정책의 최우선과제인 친환경농업에 적극 동참하여 안전하고 우수한 농산물을 생산해야 할 것이다. 잎들깨의 재배에 있어 주생산 요소의 한 가지는 영양생장을 잘 조절해야 하고 기비보다는 추비에 보다 많은 기술이 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 잎들깨 추비시용에 있어 화학비료를 대체 유기질 비료를 이용하여 추비수준별 생육 및 수량성을 구명 하는데 있다. 재배방법은 재식거리는 10 cm${\times}$7cm(137,500주/10a) 로 하였으며 기비는 유기질비료(N-P-K=3.2:4.2:1.1)를 N량 기준으로 5.2kg/10a 을 시용하였다. 추비시용 처리는 10a당 N 0kg, N1.2kg, N1.5kg, N 1.8kg 등 4처리를 두었으며, 추비는 유기질 비료 (N-P-K=4.0-2.0-1.5)를 N 기준으로 생육에 따라 매회 수확 후에 시용 하였으며, 시용 방법에 있어 관수는 1 회 급여시 유기질 비료를 10a당 물 5톤에 희석하여 총 5회를 주었으며 관수방법은 점적호스를 이용하여 저면 관수 하였다. 재배기간 중 10a당 T-N 시용량은 N 0kg 재배는 5.2kg, N 1.2kg 재배는 11.2kg, N 1.5kg재배는 12.7kg, N 1.8kg재배는 14.2kg을 시용하였다. 재배 후 처리별 N 흡수량은 N 1.8kg구 33.1kg, N 1.5kg구 30.0kg, N 1.2kg구 25.7kg, N 0kg구 18.1kg순으로 나타났다. 생육은 초장, 경경, 엽장, 엽폭, 엽중은 추비 시용량이 높을수록 향상되었고, 마디수 발생은 추비 수준 간 변동이 없었다. 병해충 발생정도는 병은 시들음병, 역병, 노균병 순으로 발생하였고, 충은 잎말이나방, 잿빛곰팡이, 진딧물 순으로 발생되었다. 수량성은 N 1.5kg 재배구가 N 1.2kg 대비 115%, N 0kg 대비 169%를 수확하여 타 처리에 비해 비교적 높게 나타났다.

Current status on the occurrence and management of disease, insect and mite pests in the non-chemical or organic apple orchards (무농약 유기재배 사과원의 병해충 발생 및 관리 실태)

  • Current status on the occurrence and the management of the major disease, insect and mite pests were investigated in the organic or non-chemical pest control orchards from 2005 to 2009. Numbers of certified organic or non-chemical apple orchards were increased from 14 in 2005 to 78 in 2008. Severe damages on leaves and fruits occurred by the several diseases such as marssonina blotch, bitter rot, white rot, sooty blotch and flyspeck, and the several insect pests such as apple leaf-curling aphid, woolly apple aphid, oriental fruit moth and peach fruit moth on the almost certified organic or non-chemical pest control orchards. About 10 and 18 environmental-friendly materials were used to control diseases and insect or mite pests respectively. But, lime sulfur and bordeaux mixture to diseases and machine oil, plant oil mixed with egg yolk, and pheromone mating disruptions to insect pests were effective to control under the adequate conditions. At present, it is extremely difficult to produce organic apples in Korea. Growers must consider about and solve so many conditions on the cultivar, weather, local site, marketing and so on, before when they decide to change from conventional or IPM(Integrated Pest Management) to organic or non-chemical pest control orchards.

Effect of Oriental Melon Vinegar Treatment on Growth and Disease Control of Oriental Melon (참외식초 처리가 참외 생육 및 병충해 방제에 미치는 영향)

  • Oriental melon vinegar was prepared by two stage fermentations of alcohol and acetic acid. In the alcohol fermentation using oriental melon residual products, alcohol content showed 7.43% in 17$^{\circ}$ brix of initial sugar concentration and 80 h of fermentation time. In the acetic acid fermentation using oriental melon alcohol, acidity showed 5.25% in 250rpm of agitation rate and 200 h of fermentation time. The cultivation esults of oriental melons using its vinegar are as follows. Quantity and quality of samples treated with 500, 1,000 and 2,000 times of oriental melon vinegar were higher than that of control : weight, quality, sugar content and goods production rate were higher to degree of 33∼42 g/piece, 370 ∼460kg/10a, 0.6∼.9$^{\circ}$ Brix, 2∼5%, respectively. Coods production yield of samples treated with 500, 1,000 and 2,000 times of oriental melon vinegar was higher (400∼610 kg/10a) than that of control. The results of control of powdery mildew on oriental melons using oriental melon vinegar as the diluted solution with 500 and 1000 times were identical for control value that used by agrochemical. Powdery mildew were exterminated by 2nd treatment of the diluted solution. In case of aphids, the diluted solution with 500, 1,000 and 2,000 times of oriental melon vinegar exterminated thoroughly by 2nd treatment.
