A study on change in electric contact resistance of the tin-plated copper connector of automotive sensor due micro-vibration (차량용 주석 도금된 구리 커넥터에서 미세진동에 의한 전기접촉 저항변화에 관한 연구)

  • The automotive environment is particularly demanding on connector performance, and is characterized by large temperature changes, high humidity and corrosive atmospheres. Fretting is a contact damage process that occurs between two contact surfaces. Fretting corrosion refers to corrosion damage at the asperities of contact surfaces. This damage is induced under load and in the presence of repeated relative surface motion, as induced for example by vibration. This paper critically reviews the works published previously on fretting corrosion of electrical connectors. Various experimental approaches such as testing machines, material selection, testing environments, acceleration testing techniques and preventing methods are addressed. Future research prospects arc suggested.

  • 입사된 음파에 대한 배진동 주파수의 발생과 입사 음파들간의 합$\cdot$차 주파수 발생은 물체내 결함이 존재할때에 나타나는 중요한 비선형 효과라는 것을 이용하여 단순화된 실험실 조건의 겹쳐진 두 장의 유리판에 적용하였다. 본 논문에서는 적층 접합 물체에 있어서의 비파괴 검사법을 위해 접합되지 않은 결함 부분은 두 장의 유리판 사이의 공기 층으로 단순화하였고, 접합되어진 부분은 물 층으로 단순화하여 실험을 진행하였다. 서로 다른 조건의 두 접합 부분으로부터 발생된 입사된 기본 주파수의 배진동 주파수 발생과 합 $\cdot$차 주파수 발생을 관측함으로써 구조물 내의 결함 유$\cdot$무를 판별하였다. 배진동 주파수의 발생과 합$\cdot$차 주파수의 발생은 결함이 존재할 경우에 두드러지게 나타났지만, 결함이 존재하지 않는 경우에서는 비선형 반응의 발생이 억제되었다. 이 결과로부터 비선형 현상의 발생은 이차원적인 적층 구조물에도 적용 가능하며, 비선형 비파괴 음향 탐사법에 의한 결함의 존재 유$\cdot$무 판별이 가능하였다.

  • Through the analysis of conventional TVD limiters, a new multi-dimensional limiting function is derived for an oscillation control in multi-dimensional flows. Then, Multi-dimensional Limiting Process (MLP) is developed with the multi-dimensional limiting function. The major advantage of MLP is to prevent oscillations across a multi-dimensional discontinuity, and it is readily compatible with more than 3rd order spatial interpolation. Moreover, MLP shows a good convergence characteristic in a steady problem and it is very simple to be implemented. Through numerical test cases, it is verified that MLP substantially improves accuracy, efficiency and robustness both in continuous and discontinuous flows.

  • A series of experimental tests have been performed on a tube beam in which artificial damage is applied in order to address damage detectability using modal analysis. Modal parameters considered are frequency, displacement mode shape and strain mode shape CoMAC(Coordinate Modal Assurance Criterion) and Modal Vector Error have been adopted for presenting the change of displacement mode shape and strain mode shape. It is revealed strain mode shape is the most sensitive to damage.

  • In this study, an analytical model of micro-beam structure including thermoelastic damping with irregularly distributed masses is investigated. The significance of thermoelastic damping for micro-scale mechanical resonators is evaluated to design -with high quality factor(Q-factor). The beam model of this work is based on Euler-Bernoulli beam theory. In order to determine the natural frequency of the model, energy method is applied. Also, the thermoelatic damping effects are considered by using heat conduction equations, and the Q-factor can be determined. To derive the equation of motion, non-dimensionalization is employed for systematic analysis. Results of the model are verified, and present mode shapes and Q-factors for the micro-beam with thermoelastic damping including random point masses.

  • The Xenon spatial oscillation may give rise to operational difficulties in a nuclear power plant. In this study, in order to investigate the Xenon instability for a PWR, the frequency-domain technique is adopted by using Generalized Nyquist Criterion, which is more general and suitable for the multi-input/multi-output system. Also linearized modal fluxes are obtained by a modal expansion. This model has been implemented to test the axial Xenon stability of YGN-1 unit against the changes in plant operating parameters ; power level, control rod position, and core average burnup. The results show that the increase of power level and the deeper insertion of control rod have the destabilizing effect, and that the burnup progress makes the core less stable. Also the results show that the overestimation due to modal interaction was found not to be significant.

  • With the development of computer program in calculation for torsional vibration of ship's propulsion shafting it has become possible to calculate all order's vibratory amplitude, vibratory torque, vibratory stress and synthesis value at all concerned revolutions by way of solving the vibratory equation directly. Though this kind of propulsion shafting vibration calculation method makes it possible to get generalized and precise result of calculation, the unexpected critical crankshaft torsional vibration has still appeared in maneuvering range of the engine. A close investigation has been carried out to find out the cause for the 2-node propulsion shafting torsional vibration of the crankshaft that exceeded the limitation value near the MCR 104rpm on the sea trial of the recently delivered 6000TEU class container vessel from HHIC. In conclusion, as the latest super-output engine with heavy crankshaft and propeller mass seems to be liable to 2-node torsional vibration of crankshaft, it is recommend that, in the design stage of propulsion shafting, its torsional vibration condition must be more carefully checked.

  • A new predictor-corrector explicit time integration algorithm is presented for solving structural dynamics problems. The basis of the algorithm is the implicit generalized-.alpha. method recently developed by the authors. Like its implicit parent, the explicit generalized-$\alpha$ method is a one- parameter family of algorithms in which the parameter defines the high-frequency numerical dissipation. The algorithm can be utilized effectively for linear and nonlinear structural dynamics calculations is which numerical dissipation is needed to reduce spurious oscillations inherent in non-dissipative time integration methods used to solve wave propagation problems.

  • In this study the modal characteristics and responses of an asymmetric structure with added viscoelastic dampers were investigated for design parameters such as eccentricity of stiffness and added dampers, the loss factor of the damping materials used. For modal characteristics, variation of the quantities such as natural frequencies, modal damping ratios, modal participation factors, and dynamic amplification factors were observed, and displacements at flexible and stiff edges, and at center of mass were obtained. Based on the results, the problem of the optimum damper distribution to minimize the torsional effects was addressed, and the proposed method for optimum damper distribution was applied to a multi-story structure to verify the applicability Finally the effect of viscous and viscoelastic dampers were compared by varying the loss factor of the viscoelastic material.

Quasi-periodic waveform analysis for diplophonia (이중음성에 대한 음성파형분석)

  • Diplophonia is produced by the voice of two separate tones and produced through quasi-periodic variations in the vocal cord vibration. Diplophonia is generally regarded as a symptom of laryngeal pathology. The difference in the vibratory frequency between the vocal cords can be seen in a tension imbalance and a difference in the level of the vocal folds under the special condition such as incomplete glottal closure. So authors have experienced 19 cases of patient with diplophonia for the unilateral vocal cord paralysis, intracordal cysts and other mass lesions. And we analysed the diplophonic voice with peak variability and noise level for the quasi-periodic waveforms and spectrograms pre-and postoperatively.
