Analysis of Vibration Parameters for the Fault Diagnosis of Reduction Unit for High-speed Train (고속철도차량 감속기 결함진단을 위한 진동 파라미터 분석)

  • The reduction unit is one of the most important components in railway cars, due to the transmission of torque from the motor to the wheels. Faulty reduction gears in high-speed trains result from excessive wear on the gear or damage to the gear. These types of gear defects have a significant effect on high-speed rail operation and safety; thus, a diagnosis system for the reduction unit is needed. Vibration diagnosis technology is one of the most effective diagnostics. In this paper, the vibration parameters of a reduction unit were evaluated during a driving-gear test and a full-vehicle test, using kurtosis and the crest factor. These tests were performed under normal operating conditions; a specimen tester was used to diagnose problems in defective gears.

  • In this study the optimal isolation system for the prototype HIFD(high impulsive force device) is investigated. For this purpose, firstly, the dynamic behavior of a human body and a transmitted force under specific operation conditions are analyzed through a series of experimental works using the devised test setup. In order to design the optimal dynamic absorbing system, the parameter optimization process is performed using the simplified isolation system model based on the experimental results of linear impulse and transmitted force. Finally, under the parameters satisfying the constraints of the buffering displacement and the transmitted force, the performance of the designed isolation system for the prototype HIFD is evaluated by experiment.

  • According to the mechanical-electrical coupling characteristics and the electrical Impedance property of resistor-inductor-capacitor(RLC) series resonant circuit, the mechanical impedance analysis of a bimorph piezoceramic patch shunted with a series RLC resonant circuit is conducted. The displacement transfer function of a cantilever beam bonded with a piezoelectric shunt damping module is deduced in the case of single mode vibration of the beam. By the use of vibration damping theory of tuned mass damper system, the parameter optimization of piezoelectric shunt damping system is performed. The optimal resonant state of the shunting circuit can be obtained when the resister and conductor are optimally adjusted. Test results show that the vibration control effect as well improved with optimized piezoelectric shunt system.

  • This study developed the health monitoring method of press process using the acoustic emission (AE) sensor and high-pass filter. Also, the AE parameters such as ring-down count and peak amplitude are used. Based on this AE signal, the AE parameters were acquired and was utilized to detect the crack of the specimen. Since the defect detection is difficult due to noise and low magnitude of signal, the signal noise and press operation frequency were checked through the Short Time Fourier Transform(STFT) and damped. High-pass Filtering data was applied to AE parameters to select effective parameters. By using this signal processing techniques, the proposed AE parameters could improve the performance of defect detection in the press process.

Development of medical/electrical convergence software for classification between normal and pathological voices (장애 음성 판별을 위한 의료/전자 융복합 소프트웨어 개발)

  • If the software is developed to analyze the speech disorder, the application of various converged areas will be very high. This paper implements the user-friendly program based on CART(Classification and regression trees) analysis to distinguish between normal and pathological voices utilizing combination of the acoustical and HOS(Higher-order statistics) parameters. It means convergence between medical information and signal processing. Then the acoustical parameters are Jitter(%) and Shimmer(%). The proposed HOS parameters are means and variances of skewness(MOS and VOS) and kurtosis(MOK and VOK). Database consist of 53 normal and 173 pathological voices distributed by Kay Elemetrics. When the acoustical and proposed parameters together are used to generate the decision tree, the average accuracy is 83.11%. Finally, we developed a program with more user-friendly interface and frameworks.

The Effect of Auditory Condition on Voice Parameter of Teacher (청각 환경이 교사의 음성 파라미터에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare voice parameters in auditory conditions (normal/noise/music) between a teacher group and a control group. Results of statistical analysis showed that the teacher group had higher jitter (%) and shimmer (%) values than the control group. It indicated that the teacher group had larger variations in pitch and dynamic of their voice. In the teacher group, the voice under noisy condition showed a higher value of fundamental frequency than that under normal condition. though its fundamental frequency did not show any significant difference between the noisy condition and the musical condition. In the control group, however, although the voice under noisy condition also showed a higher value of fundamental frequency than that under normal condition, its fundamental frequency was significantly different between the noisy condition and the musical condition.

  • 이 논문은 다수의 시간구간을 동시에 고려할 수 있는 파라미터 추정 방법에 대하여 기술하고 있다. 차수가 같은 다수의 다항식에 동일한 근이 포함되어 있을 때, 다항식들의 동류항 계수들을 합한 새로운 다항식에도 동일한 근이 포함되어 있다. 만일 다른 시간구간의 데이터에 동일한 모드가 존재하면, 각 예측오차다항식의 계수들을 합하여 새로운 다구간 예측오차다항식을 형성할 수 있다. 이 다항식의 해에는 다수의 시간구간에 대한 존재하는 동일한 모드가 포함되어 있다. 그러므로 한 번의 미지수 계산으로 다수의 시간구간에 포함된 중요 파라미터를 추정할 수 있다.

  • In case of the Hydraulic Turbine Dynamo operating for Waterpower Generation, it makes very huge and loud noises, and it influences bad effect physically as same as mentally to those people who are working inside of power plant, and brings the decline of an effective working efficiency. However, its evaluation method or measure about such noise reflects merely its physical attribute which is sensuous Loudness of the Noise itself, since the accumulation effect of Noise or the meaning connected with psychological response did not reflect, it is the actual state that a rational evaluation is unable to expect. Consequently, this Study has attempted to evaluate the Noise of Hydraulic Turbine Dynamo by analyzing the sound quality using Zwicker‘s Psychological Acoustic Parameter, after classification by its positions of the Noise occurring at Hydraulic Turbine Dynamo.

  • 드론이나 이동형 촬영장비에 장착된 카메라로부터 깨끗하고 안정된 영상을 획득하기 위해서는 짐벌시스템의 안정화기 설계가 필요하다. 짐벌시스템은 카메라 모듈을 지지하는 구조와 외부로 부터의 진동을 차단하면서 정확한 각도를 추종하는 안정화기로 구성된다. 이동형 촬영장비나, 비행중인 드론에는 매우 다양한 주파수 성분의 진동이 발생되는데, 이러한 진동을 제어하기 위하여 6자유도 운동방정식을 유도하고, 이 중에서 본 논문에서는 일반적으로 rolling, pitching, yawing 운동에 대해서는 PID 제어기를 사용하여 안정화를 제어하기만, 카메라종류나 짐벌시스템 구조가 바뀔 때 마다 PID 파라미터를 변경해야 되는 경우가 빈번하다. 본 논문에서는 이런 문제점을 개선하기 새로이 제기된 제어 기법인 지적 PID(intelligent PID) 제어를 통하여 진동제어를 수행하여 짐벌시스템의 안정화를 위한 제어기법을 제안하고자 한다.

Design Parameter Study on the Isolation Performance of the HSLDS Magnetic Vibration Isolator (HSLDS 마그네틱 진동절연체의 절연성능에 대한 설계 파라미터 분석)

  • In general, the softer the stiffness of a linear vibration isolator the better the performance of isolation can be achieved. However, the stiffness of the isolator cannot be made too soft because it needs a sufficient stiffness to hold the load. This is the most critical limitation of a linear vibration isolator. Recently, a HSLDS (High-Static-Low-Dynamic-Stiffness) magnetic vibration isolator was proposed to overcome this fundamental limitation. The suggested isolator utilizes two pairs of attracting magnets that that introduces negative stiffness. Previously, this new type of vibration isolator was merely introduced and showed a possibility of practical use. In this paper, detailed dynamics of the HSLDS magnetic isolator are studied using computer simulations. Then, the isolation performance is examined for various design parameters to aid the practical use.
