CANFLEX 연료봉 다발의 수중 진동특성

  • CANFLEX 연료봉 다발의 3000 시간 내구성 시험 기간 동안 속도센서를 사용하여 압력관 내부에 장전된 연료봉 다발의 진동을 측정하였다. 압력관 내부에 장전된 연료봉의 진동측정은 고온, 고압, 그리고 공간적 제약 때문에 가속도계나 스트레인 게이지 같은 접촉센서로는 측정할 수 없다. 비접촉 센서를 사용하면 이러한 난점을 해결하고 압력관 내부에 장전된 연료봉 다발의 진동을 측정할 수 있다. 속도센서는 비접촉 센서로서 가우스(gauss)의 크기를 감지하여 전압을 출력하는 센서이지만, 측정거리, 주파수, 그리고 속도와 가우스가 비선형이기 때문에 교정을 한 후에 사용하여야 한다. 본 본문에는 속도센서의 교정방법과 압력관 내부에 고온, 고압의 유체가 흐를 때 발생하는 연료봉 다발의 진동특성을 구하였다.

  • The damage identification in a flexible system requires modal informations which is represented by FRF(Frequency response function) or modal parameters. In this paper, energy isoclines are introduced to access the prediction of fatigue damage on a flexible component exposed mainly to the exciting source rather than external forces. After deriving the concerned function, energy isoclines, from the investigation of the relationship between energy and damage, its practical application is explained by the simple uni-axial excitation test for the notched round bar.

  • In this paper, vibration endurance test is carried out on rubber insulators used fur vehicle air cleaners. Based on the test results, endurance characteristics depending on type and material of the insulators are estimated. Frequency response characteristics of the air cleaner system are investigated to identify the cause of wear and failure in the insulators occurred during the endurance test. New insulator models with improved endurance characteristics are proposed by changing the frequency response property of the air cleaner system.

  • The vibration fatigue is suitable case of fatigue problem that system is exposed to the random or other irregular sources. Even some kinds of effort using power spectral density (PSD) and statistical concept was presented to cope with the intangible force signal, it is still lack of providing a reasonable solution when its exciting frequency is near or beyond of first eigenvalue. In this paper, energy approach method is presented to calculate a vibration induced fatigue damage in frequency domain. Since the corresponding damage become much larger than nominal case when the vibration is coupled with a mode shape of given structure, the new technique compensate the characteristics of structure with a measured frequency response function (FRF) between forcing acceleration and responding stress.

  • In this paper, a vibration endurance test is performed on rubber insulators used for vehicle air cleaners. Test results show that the vibration endurance property of the insulator is strongly dependent on the frequency response characteristics of the air cleaner system as well as the deformed shape of the insulator.

  • To investigate an in-pile behavior of the newly developed DUO fuel pellet, the irradiation test will be carried out in the domestic test reactor. Irradiation test capsule for the HANARO reactor, which is a specially designed equipment used for material, irradiation and creep test, must satisfy the operational requirement on the hydraulic characteristics and structural integrity. In this study, a pressure drop, a flow-induced vibration and a short-term endurance test for the newly developed non-instrumented test capsule were carried out using FIVPET as a out-pile evaluation test. The test results show that the new test rig satisfy the HANARO operational requirement with sufficient margin.

  • Slam testing is a mandatory testing process to evaluate the fatigue resistance of a door plate module before delivering it to car makers. This process is very hard job to complete it since the testing facilities are considerably expensive and the required testing time is relatively very long, i.e. more than eight days for a single specimen. In this paper, an accelerated testing method of a door plate module is proposed using vibration test equipment instead of the current one by exposing to the critical excitation of a door glass. Under the proposed excitation method, the similar testing result can be evaluated within less than two hours. The suitability of the proposed testing method was demonstrated by comparing failure modes of both the current testing method and the proposed one.

A Study on Strength and Durability of Vibrated and Rolled Method Mortar Mixed with Desulfurized Gypsum and Ferronickel Slag Fine Powder (탈황석고와 페로니켈슬래그 미분말을 혼합한 진동전압방식 모르타르의 강도 및 내구성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, strength and durability evaluations are performed on vibrated-rolled method mortar mixtures containing desulfurized gypsum and ferronickel slag powder. Desulfurized gypsum and ferronickel slag fine powders were substituted for 25% limestone fine powders u sed in the manu factu re of VR tu bes, and mortar specimens were prepared u sing vibrated-rolled method. Accordingly, flexural and compressive strengths were performed to evaluate the strength, and chlorine ion penetration resistance and sulfuric acid resistance tests were performed to evaluate durability. Flexural and compressive strength were improved in the range 20 to 60% of desu lfu rized gypsu m among admixtu res, and the amou nt of passing charge decreased in the choride ion penetration resistance test in the range of 20 to 80% of desulfurized gypsum. As for the resistance to su lfu ric acid, when the proportion of desu lfu rized in the admixtu re was 40%, the strength and weight change rate according to the immersion period was reduced. Appropriate use of desulfurized gypsum and ferronickel slag powder is expected to improve performance in terms of strength and durability.

  • Many studies have examined the reduction of primary noise sources, but quality-related noise, such as BSR, is rarely studied. This study describes the quantitative BSR test method using a multi-axial simulator. The sine sweep test was conducted to detect the system resonance and its relation to BSR noise with high frequency. This method is applied to the seat frame with/without the vibration durability test. The results showed that the $1^{st}$ lateral resonance leads to higher BSR frequency noise. In addition, the reduction of the lateral mode system stiffness after the durability test results in a decrease in the BSR noise in sine sweep test mode.

Evaluation of Fatigue Endurance on Expansion Joint Manufactured Fe-Mn Damping Alloy (Fe-Mn 제진 금속을 적용한 신축이음장치의 피로 내구성 평가)

  • The endurance of expansion joint manufactured the Fe-Mn damping alloy reducing noise and vibration is analyzed into FEM (Finite Element Method) and fatigue test. The fatigue test have been performed using the expansion joint manufactured Fe-Mn damping alloy and the hydraulic actuator (25tonf). And the results of fatigue test show that the maximum strength is 237.6 MPa. Also that is 56.6 percent of Fe-Mn damping alloy yield strength (420 MPa). The loading plate size is prepared $57.7cm{\times}23.1cm$ and the loading plate's set position is located on expansion joint. The expansion joint manufactured the Fe-Mn damping alloy had not presented breaking behavior against 2,000,000 times fatigue test and identified the fatigue endurance.
