Examining the Structural Relationship among Leadership Styles, Employee Empowerment and Organizational Commitment: Evidence from Chinese IT Companies (리더십 스타일, 임파워먼트 그리고 조직몰입의 구조적 인과관계: 중국 IT 기업을 중심으로)

  • In the current economic situation of China, the leadership style and organizational commitment of employees has become an important topic. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationships among leadership style, employee empowerment and organizational commitment. And help leaders to understand which leadership style is more important and suitable for them, and to increase employees sense of identify of the organization and giving them more power so that they can work more effectively. To serve this purpose, this study conducted an extensive survey of IT companies in ShenZhen, China, and 403 valid data was collected. The research model was analyzed using SPSS and AMOS. According to the result, leadership style has a profound influence on organizational commitment. And leadership style can also impact on empowerment. Employees' empowerment also significantly influence the organization commitment, and exist a mediating effect between the leadership style of organizational commitment. The results of this study provided a new reference and a more suitable leadership style for Chinese IT enterprises that transactional leadership is more effective than transformational leadership, and it is more effective to encourage employees with rewards.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of motivation and self-activation on career effectiveness and employee satisfaction after completion of employee training programs of the chain hotel in China. Four hypotheses have been set for the study. The hypothesis 1 is the motivation by training programs will be positively influenced on career effectiveness. The hypothesis 2 is the motivation by training program will be positively influenced on employee satisfaction. The hypothesis 3 is self-activation after training will influence positively on career effectiveness. The hypothesis 4 is self-activation after training will be positively influenced employee satisfaction. The results shows that training programs cause positive effects on motivation(p-value 0.003) and self-activation(p-value 0.036) respectively. Also, self-activation after training influences positively on career effectiveness(p-value 0.000) and employee satisfaction(p-value 0.020). The results show that the training programs of the chain hotel in China have been implemented positively. The limitation of this study is that the training programs are analyzed as a whole not by individually.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyzing the DISC behavioral styles of deluxe hotel employees, that Dominance(D), Influence(I), Steadiness(S), Consciousness(C) on the organizational culture and the organizational effectiveness of the hotel employees and is to presenting the influence of DISC behavioral patterns on the organizational culture and the organizational effectiveness. To accomplish the aim, the study conducted literature investigations and positive analysis. The results were as in the followings. Employees with a dominant and influencing behavior style adapt themselves to innovative culture and collusive culture. also, organizational commitment and job satisfaction were affected by dominant and influencing behavioral employees. and employees with a steady style adapt themselves to rationality culture. so, organizational commitment and job satisfaction were affected by steady style. furthermore, the result shows that it can be reduced turnover rate when the conscious behavioral employees adapt to the collusive culture. Customer's needs and wants are changed fastly. In addition, there is a keen competition between a five-star hotel. Because the number of five-star hotel are increased. Lastly I suggest that the DISC behavioral style is using at recruit.

창업휴직제도가 개인의 기업벤처링 활동에 미치는 영향

  • 인센티브는 조직 내 개인의 동기와 행동에 영향을 미쳐 조직의 목표를 달성하는 데에 중요한 역할을 한다. 기존 문헌에서는 이러한 관점에서 개인의 다양한 동기를 충족시킬 수 있는 경제적, 사회적 보상에 대하여 논의해왔다. 반면, 직업안정성이 개인에게 기업가적 동기를 가진 개인에게 어떠한 인센티브로 작용할 수 있는지에 대한 내용은 간과된 측면이 있다. 본 연구는 창업휴직제도가 직업안정성이라는 비금전적 인센티브로 작용하여, 기업가적 동기를 가진 직원들의 기업벤처링(Corporate Venturing) 활동 참여에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있는지 여부를 조사한다. 본 연구는 전통적인 인적자원관리 문헌에서 비금전적 인센티브를 통해 개인의 일탈과 이직을 방지하려는 관점과는 달리, 개인이 일을 중단하는 것을 허가하는 '창업휴직제도' 자체가 비금전적 인센티브로서 개인이 혁신 성과를 증가시킬 수 있다는 점에 집중한다. 정부출연연구소 내부 기업벤처링 프로그램에 참여한 세 명과의 개인 인터뷰를 통해 이러한 가설을 지지할만한 단서를 발견하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 향후 실험 연구를 통해 실증 분석을 진행하고자 한다.

  • There are the leadership is the main factor for managing effective organization as the size of organization becomes large and its functions are a complex and rapidly changing environment. Therefore it needs to suggest the desirable direction for managing organization by the effect of middle manager's leadership on organization's effectiveness. The aim of the present study is to investigate the proper leadership type of middle manager through the mediating effect of job satisfaction between turnover intention and leadership type recognized of organizational members. It suggested the guidelines for the proper leaderships type and the efficient management for employees through the findings. To test hypotheses, the leadership types are classified and the data of this study has collected to evaluate middle managers from the actual employees of agricultural cooperatives in Nonghyup. Through the findings of this study, it is expected the organizational convergence and provides guidelines in managing the agriculture organization to suggest implications and future research directions.

  • The current beauty service of Korea is upgrading its outside appearance from traditional small-shop image and its speed of change and competition are more severe than ever before. The top priority trait of beauty management is based on man-power resource, and personnel-management is the most important thing that more than anything else. Compared with other arenas of business, personnel management plays a key role in beauty industry. As a result, this research begins with the issue of personnel management. In addition, I will show that the management leadership of beauty service affects organization civil actions and changing jobs in the beauty industry employees, and the leadership can lower changing job rate to some extent. The role and duty of business manager is very significant because the dependence of man-power resource is magnificent in beauty service. In spite of rapid changing of economic surroundings, the management of beauty service is still working without any detail plans. It is no exaggeration to say that the most of beauty service managers are lack of leadership conception. Although the demands of customers are changing everyday, the frequent changing of jobs among talented employees drops customers credibility and high-quality service. From a management viewpoint, re-training cost of employees leads to economic loss and the company suffers from financial problems. As a result, it creates vicious circle in the beauty industry. Today, the management atmosphere in the beauty service is hard to get its right track because of the cutthroat competitions of beauty industry and difficulties of hiring promising employees. It has been said that "Nothing ventured, Nothing gained" Above all, the beauty service requires job speciality and it produces economic profits. Therefore, the managers desperately need to change the way they regard those with job changers. In this research shows the principal index of the leadership type of beauty business managers how much affects its employees' long-term working condition. The new concept of leadership, such as alternative suggestions, setting goals, and organization civil action will reorganize the stereo-type frame. I will also investigate the factors of job changing and intention of the beauty service employees for the development option of the beauty industry.

A Review of Person-centered Care in Nursing Homes (노인요양시설의 인간 중심 케어 (Person-centered care)에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to review person-centered care models and the scientific evidence for the impact of person-centered care in U.S. nursing homes, and to analyze the applicability of person-centered care for Korean long-term care system. The most commonly recognized person-centered care models were Eden Alternative, Green House, and Wellspring model. The core components of the three models were autonomy, close relationships, homelike environment, and staff empowerment. Thirty eight empirical studies including 10 model testing studies and 28 studies to examine the impact of person-centered care interventions indicated generally positive outcomes in terms of residents, family, and staff/organization level. The authors analyzed the current situation in the Korean long-term care system with respect to the specific core constructs of person-centered care, and proposed applicable models and practical suggestions in consideration of Korean context. Lastly, future considerations regarding policy and research were discussed.

  • Recently, much research has been done on the turnover and retirement intentions of the organization members as many companies recognize the negative impact of the human resource outflow on the organization. However, most of the studies are conducted in the form of questionnaires, and there is still a lack of studies on the turnover and retirement intentions based on the work life data. In this study, we analyzed the factors affecting the retirement of employees based on the work life profile, and created a retirement prediction model using the machine learning method. As a result, we could identify various factors that were not covered in previous researches. In addition, we have established a basis for research that can provide a solution for the problem of human resource outflow by generating a good performance retirement prediction model.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare employee's job satisfaction in the Korean and Foreign brand restaurants, and to suggest some guideline for efficient human resource management. Korean and Foreign brand restaurants are highly showed high vision, pride oneself, and job satisfaction in the restaurant business but payroll is recognized low. Overall job satisfaction is recorded highly in the Korean brand restaurants, but turnover intent is for high foreign brand restaurants. Payroll is the strongest correlates of employee turnover. The guidelines are to continuous evaluation, monitoring about job satisfaction as well as incentive for the high achievement, to establish distinct employee program for reaching high goal & achievement, to provide opportunity self -development and motivation for raising worker's skill, and to utilize regularly video program which discuss complaints between employee and seniors.

  • In this study, what is motivation factors through academic study about whether to choose a career for chef and analysis career choice motives and IPA between importance and satisfaction and motivation was to analyze the impact of factors affecting satisfaction. The impact on job satisfaction according to the chef choose the real motivation, self-centered, values, etc., but having a significant impact on satisfaction stable did not have any effect on satisfaction. Therefore, the management runs the company makes employees motivate to engage in promoting stability through increased opportunities to employees, the ability to demonstrate opportunities, compensation, career development, work environment improvement. In addition, unlike the restaurant operated by individually casinos and luxury hotels apply overtime, laundry service, employee cafeteria, night shift allowances, operated by the Labor Standards Act such work 40 hours, but the non-corporate individual restaurant or newly opened hotels that still don't have it showed the low importance for welfare benefits, and expected to have a high turnover rate.
