To analyze our country's education program for flower decoration and occupational satisfaction of florist, 60 present florists and 60 applicants were surveyed. To investigate satisfaction of florist, the questionnaire items consisted of satisfaction for occupation etc. experienced by attendants, contents of related education, recognition from society, social treatment. And this study analyzed followings : considerations to select occupation, satisfaction on job of person who majored in related subject and non- person without such an educational background, satisfaction on present occupation, satisfaction on education period, significance of florist ability, significance of requirements for occupational development. The points which present florists and applicants consider as important were aptitude for gardening and prospect. From the analysis by major of florists, majored persons had more satisfaction than non-majored persons but there was no statistically significant difference between them. From the analysis by applicant, as in present florists, majored persons had more satisfaction than non-majored persons. For the satisfaction by career and education period of present florists and applicants, the satisfaction on education related to flower decoration or learning experiences and lecturer's teaching method showed that the lower the career is, the less the satisfaction is. Seeing the result by education period of applicants, the satisfaction on job was similar each other regardless of education period. For difference in recognition on ability by major of present florists and applicants, the result of analysis by major of present florists showed that majored persons considered the ability more important comparing to non-majored persons in the fields of gardening and making decorations. In the other hand, in the fields of quality maintenance, flower decoration, and flower distribution and management, there was no significance difference between majored and non-majored persons about the recognition of ability. The result of analysis by major of applicants showed that majored persons considered the ability more important comparing to non-majored persons in the fields of gardening, flower decoration, making decorations, flower distribution and management. For the significance of quality maintenance, majored persons wholly considered the significance more important comparing to non-majored persons but there was no significant difference. Based on the results of this study, in working as a florist, persons who majored in flower decoration had more occupational satisfaction than non-majored persons. And among the contents of education, the education related to gardening was recognized as most important. But at present the systematic and special education programs to cultivate professional florists are deficient. Therefore it is suggested that courses based on systematic educational contents which integrate theory and practice are needed to solve education problem related to flower decoration in this rapidly changing society.
'VEC 2010' is a mid-long term scheme on the development of Vocational Education for Chung-buk which is to be accomplished by 2010. On the basis of this scheme, schools adopt 3-Type curriculum considering their conditions and covert themselves into specialized high school which is associated with local industry cluster. They also establish combined high schools which run various curriculums emphasizing basic vocational abilities so that they can meet the needs of demanders The activation plan of Chung-buk province vocational education is a dualized one which is for both ongoing education for entrance into a school of higher grade and the last education for employment, which is supposed to foster the human resources required by the knowledge-based society in the 21st century. The specific contents of 'VEC 2010' is as follows. First, VEC 2010 presents 2 kinds of mid-long term management system for industrial high schools: general industrial high school, specialized high school(single type, combined type). Second, VEC 2010 arranges and run the 3-Type of curriculum of Chung-buk province industrial high schools: employment-centered type, entering higher school-centered type, inaugurating enterprise-centered type. Third, VEC 2010 divides Chung-buk province industrial high schools into 4 districts and suggests mid-long term reorganization plan of system. Fourth, VEC 2010 suggests the substantial strategies of Chung-buk province vocational education: scholarship improvement in the vocational investigation course of the government-sponsored scholastic aptitude test, education for improving basic vocational abilities, substantial management of joint laboratory, administrative and financial support of development of specialized, licensed textbooks. reenforcement of career education.
This study is key competence port logistics companies analyze the priorities of evaluation factors. key competence index of NCS(National competency standard) was designed on the basis of the research model. The priorities of evaluation factors were analyzed using AHP method. The results of the analysis of 1 layer's key competence priorities are as follows: Interpersonal skills(0.217), communication skills(0.153), ability to develop problem(0.148), ability to understand the organization(0.103), and resource management skills(0.090), self-development ability and professional ethics(0.070), information skills(0.065), technical skills(0.049), numeracy skills(0.035).
The first impression of people plays a crucial role in deciding personal image. Except for the eyes, the V zone of a suit attracts people's attention most. Therefore, a necktie has an instant and strong influence in delivering the image of a man. This research divided images of men into several factors based on necktie that plays an important role in expressing men's images. Futhermore, this research inquired into characteristics of necktie designs that can express men's images. And this research presented visually through surveys. As a result, men's images were divided into six factors of uniqueness, sociality, generosity, notability, activeness & vitality and reliability with two axes of attractiveness and capability. Afterwards, the characteristic of necktie designs suitable for each image was presented. Furthermore, the characteristic of necktie designs suitable for jobs classification was presented by relating each image to six job classifications. Applying these facts into necktie sales, consumers will be able to choose their neckties that can express proper images according to their tastes, situations and jobs. Furthermore, consumers will be able to establish better image for themselves.
The concept of the Independent Living (IL) movement has been affected on recent disability public policy to enhance the right of consumers with disabilities, as well as to eliminate the barriers on employment. The IL movement emphasizes the empowerment and autonomy of consumer with disabilities to achieve their rights in educational, social, and employ environment. This paper presents three vocational rehabilitation(VR) services that affect consumers with disabilities based on the values of the Independent Living movement, and recommend some practical strategies. These VR services include the collaboration projects between the VR agencies and Independent Living Centers, the intervention programs to enhance the self determination or informed choice as a consumer, and the projects to strengthen the relationship between consumers with disabilities and their service providers.
This paper analysed the training effects on wage and employment security by the non-standard worker types by using Economically Active Population Additional Survey data. Through propensity score matching method, we found that the regular workers' training effect on wage was 4.2%, that was very higher than 2.7% of fixed-term workers. Logistic regression analysis showed that the training participation itself did not affect on the regular workers' regular position continuance, but training duration affected. Just in fixed-term workers among non-standard workers, both of training participation and training duration affected the transition from non-standard position to regular position. The result that both training effects on wage and on employment were positive just in the fixed-term workers might be interpreted owing to the clear employment contract relation between employer and employees.
This study with qualitative research method explores the process of a middle-aged woman who finds and constructs her career path. As a result, career constitution process of a research participant choosing a career to make a living and carrying out what she is supposed to do, turned out to be more than just a job adaptation process in the workforce. Career constitution process is a journey in search of "genuine self" and a existential process in which the existence of self is understood by sustained choices and "actions." The research participant on the life journey of finding career path sought to return to her intrinsic life and practiced self-realization toward possibility. The result of this study suggests that "work" being different from calling needs to be understood anew in the existential perspective. "work" is not only a passage which makes the meaning of life by existential "actoins" but also a existential method heading toward self-realization. Not only that, career path is a process which doesn't get obvious by one choice but is unfolded by shaking between potential energy and possibilities accumulated by here and now decisions and actions. Thus, the researcher of this study suggests that counselling for career path should go beyond the linear task which figures out a person's aptitude, the features of the workforce and connects both. And there is the need for a paradigm shift in totally understanding the client's life and in making the meaning of a work in the process of finding genuine "self".

This study investigated students' views in relation to a career in science as a first step towards developing science career education programs and materials. The instrument was developed through preliminary surveys. The questionnaire was sent to, administered and returned by 3608 students including 1036 primary, 1137 middle, and 1435 high school students, who were selected through stratified cluster sampling from all over the country. The results were analyzed using statistical package program. The students' image view of science, preference for science and science learning, perception of science achievement, career hope for oneself, degree of hope in getting science-related job, perception about science-related career, important factors of science career choice, and their hope for science/non-science career and the reason for their choice in the past and present were investigated. The results show that "science as an experimentation activity" was the most frequent image view of science. The preference for science and science learning was more positive than the perception of science achievement. The percentage of total students who want to have science career was 21%, and this percentage of middle school students was especially low. The most frequent answers for advantages of science career were 'useful for national development', 'possible to get new knowledge', and those for disadvantages were 'dangerous', and 'too much to study'. The most frequent reason for students' choice of a science career was 'interest in science and science learning'. Judging from these results, the basic direction for science career education should be in raising the students' preference for and interest in science learning. The positive awareness for a career in science and vision for a science job in the future should be given through a science career education and science career education proper to the students' developmental stage and characteristics is more important.
This study examines the main characteristics and differences on people's page in selected four national dailies, such as Chosun Ilbo, Joongang Ilbo, Seoul Shinmum and Hankyoreh Shinmun. Both Chosun Ilbo and Joongang Ilbo are categorized as the conservatives; while Seoul Shinmum and Hankyoreh Shinmun as the progressive. This study has been done by applying methods of content analysis to reveal the differences in terms of people's occupations, types of reports, their philosophies, and standards of selecting people by the dailies for the people's pages. The results shows that the conservative newspapers are very similar to the progressive newspapers in terms of occupations and the types of reports, covering the people on people's pages. More specifically, both the conservative dailies and the progressive dailies report the people for whose jobs are related to both social and cultural works. However, the conservative newspapers have much more coverages than the progressive papers in terms of the publicity reporting on the people. The conservatives are also much more reports on the people who are eager to economic success than the progressive dailies; while the progressives papers have much coverages on those who are interesting in helping others than the conservatives papers. Finally, this study reveals that the conservative dailies mainly cover those who are in publicity activities and social elite groups, while the progressive newspapers are the social celebrities and persons of fame in society.

This study seeks to explore high school students' changing attitudes toward science-related career choices with focus on the scientific career cultural capital perspective. We developed a questionnaire and surveyed female high school students. We used the survey results to explore the scientific career cultural capital factors and characteristics of the students who have chosen a science-related career. We selected twelve participants through science-related career choice type and then conducted in-depth interviews with them. Through the in-depth interviews, we explored how the factors of scientific career cultural capital affect the students' career choices. The result shows that the students developed internal resources through norms of obligation and reciprocity within the structure (family, school, community) based on external resources. The internal resources affected their science-related career choice. In elementary school, the students' interests in science and science-related occupations are the most influential in their choice of career directions. In high school, however, the students also considered career cognition, aptitude cognition, and career-value factors in their career choices. The interests in science were formed mainly due to education activity and daily-life activity. Over time, education activity's effect increased. The interests in science-related occupations were formed mainly due to daily-life activity during elementary school. In high school, the interests in science-related occupations formed due to diverse internal and external resources. Students who maintained a science-related career attracted external resources. Furthermore, they reinforced internal resources through interacting with various external resources. This study has implications for science education concerning students' science-related career choices.
