  • The change of job environments with information technologies demands workers' capabilities to adapt rapidly changing and variety of work environments. To cope with this situation, many countries and institutions propose 'basic vocational competency' which is focused on basic capabilities of workers. And also, they do research on how to educate and train students to be prepared for new environments. We surveyed with teachers of computer technology which is one of the information technologies, to find out the competency development level, they expressed negative view on general competency development because of current computer education's focusing on 'using computers to process information'. Therefore, we intended to analyze the necessity and problem of developing the whole basic vocational competency in vocational high school and proposed a 'in context' learning for it.

20년 후 자화상 분석을 통한 과학 영재의 미래 직업에 대한 연구

  • 본 연구는 과학 영재들이 생각하는 "0년 후의 자화상"분석을 통해 그들이 바라는 미래 직업 또는 희망, 그 이유, 그리고 그에 대한 확신 등을 조사하고자 하였으며, K대학교 과학영재교육원 중등기초과정 수학, 물리, 화학, 생물, 지구, 정보 등 6개 분야 입학생 86명(남 56명, 여 30명)을 연구 대상으로 하였다. 분석 내용은 과학 영재들에게 20년 후의 자신의 모습을 자유 서술 방식으로 기술하도록 하였다. 과학 영재들이 자신의 미래의 꿈의 실현이나 직업에 대한 확신 또는 자신감을 갖고 있는 비율은 전체의 74% 수준이었으며, 남자 영재가 62%로 여자 영재의 88%보다 낮은 것으로 조사되었다(Pearson $X^2$=4.405, p<0.05). 또한, 과학 영재들의 미래의 희망 직업에 대한 조사에서는 자신이 속한 과학 영재분야와 관련된 직업은 29.2% 정도에 지나지 않았으며, 의사나 한의사 등 의학 계통에 종사하고자 하는 비율이 32.6%로 가장 많은 것으로 조사되었다. 이외에도 사업 경영, 교사, 법조인 및 정치인, 외교관 등 다양한 직업에 대한 희망을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 경향은 성별과 상관없이 동일한 것으로 조사되었다(Pearson $X^2$=9.570, p>0.05). 과학 영재들이 미래 직업으로 관련 과학분야에 대해 응답한 것을 수학, 물리, 화학, 생물, 지구, 정보 등 과학영재 분야별로 비교하여 보면, 수학 영재들이 54,5%로 가장 높았으며, 다음으로는 화학 분야 40% 정도를 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에, 과학 영재들이 가장 선호하였던 의학 분야에 대해서는 지구과학 영재들이 61.5%로 가장 높았으며 다음으로는 물리 영재들이 38. 9%를 차지한 것으로 조사되었다. 미래의 자신의 직업을 선택한 이유는 첫 번째가 사회 봉사와 국가 발전에 기여하기 위한 것이었으며, 다음으로는 생활의 안정을 꼽고 있었다. 이외에도 과학적 업적 달성을 위해, 자신의 꿈(이상) 실현을 위해 등의 이유를 들고 있었다. 이러한 경향은 남자 영재와 여자 영재들간에 다소 차이는 있었으나 거의 유사한 것으로 조사되었다(Pearson $X^2$=2.186, p>0.05). 우수한 능력을 소유한 영재들이 과학관련 분야를 선호하지 않는다면 우리나라의 과학 발전은 그리 낙관할 수 없을 것이다. 그러므로, 영재들을 과학 관련 분야로 이끌어 그들이 소유한 영재성을 발휘하도록 하는 것은 매우 중요한 일일 것이다. 이룰 위해서는 과학 영재들이 자신의 능력에 대한 자신감을 더욱 높여야 하며 그 능력을 과학관련 분야에 발휘하도록 하기 위한 국가적, 사회적, 교육적 노력이 필요하다. 노력이 필요하다.

Differences of Perception Between Students and Teachers to the Key Competencies Education in the University through A College Practice (대학의 직업기초능력 교육에 대한 교수와 학생의 인식 차이: A대학 사례를 중심으로)

  • The expectation and importance for the key competencies education in the university have been greater. Although there have been many various efforts of the university for its social accountability that it should cultivate the qualified person company requires, there is a bit gap between the university education and social demand. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and demand of students and teachers to the key competencies and then offer a help to develop and operate strategies with which university education can be prepared for the demand of teachers, students and society. In this study, questionnaires on the perception and demand to the key competencies education were developed and responded by 475 students and 58 professors as a subject of this study. The results were analysed using multiple response frequency analysis, cross analysis and t-test. Also the statistical level of significance was set at p<.05 by using SPSS 12.0 for Windows. The results suggested that there were significant differences between the perception and demand of teachers and students to the key competencies education, particularly to the items questioning the degree of difficulty in preparing for future employment, the most important resource from which they can obtain aids, the degree of efforts they put for the key competencies development and employment, and the main factors for the key competencies development and employment. We can expect to offer an implication for the university education based on perception and demand of teachers and students to the key competencies.

  • In this paper, we propose and design an NCS-based job matching system for individuals with disabilities. This system allows users with disabilities to access it, input basic information (personal and disability-related details), and take a simple test related to job performance. The system then provides NCS job-related information appropriate to their type and degree of disability. To effectively link various NCS-based jobs, it is essential to consider the degree of disability for each type of disability. However, most evaluation tools target specific types of disabilities or assess the vocational abilities of individuals with disabilities in a limited manner, focusing only on cognitive levels or certain physical functions. This makes it challenging to apply these tools to an NCS-based job matching system for individuals with disabilities. Therefore, in this paper, we utilize the ICF coresets for VR to assess the cognitive levels or physical functions required for performing specific jobs. Additionally, we use the NCS vocational competency evaluation tools to determine the levels of vocational competencies required for performing specific jobs. By doing so, we match NCS-based jobs according to the type and degree of disability. The proposed NCS-based job matching system relies on the user's interaction with the system, which may pose challenges for visually impaired individuals or those with intellectual and autism spectrum disabilities who have low literacy levels. Enhancing the accessibility of this system could enable individuals with disabilities to receive recommendations for NCS-based jobs that suit their vocational abilities.

한국 여성의 생리학적 작업능력(PWC)에 관한 연구

  • 인간공학을 적용하는데 있어 가장 기본적으로 다루어져야 할 것은 인간의 신체적, 심리적능력에 관한 연구이다. 특히 산업 현장에서 흔히 이루어지는 인간의 힘을 그 동력원으로 하는 수작업의 경우에 있어 서는 작업자가 직업적인 요인에 의해 피로가 누적되거나 신체적인 무리를 가져오지 않고 수행할 수 있는 안전한 작업기준의 설정이 필요하며 이를 위해서는 인간의 신체적 능격에관한 연구가 필수적이다. 특히 최근 들어 여성의 사회진출 기회가 다양해지고 있으며 많은 여성들이 육체적 노동을 필요로 하는 직업에 종사하고 있는 현실에서 한국여성들의 신체적 능력에 관한 자료가 절대적으로 부족한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 현재 한국의 여성들이 활동하고 육체적 작업조건들이 적절하게 설정되어 있는지를 분석하기 위한 기초 자료로서 한국 여성들의 생리학적 작업능력(PWC:physiological work capacity)을 최대산소소모 능력(Maximal Oxygen Consumption: V0$_{2}$Max)의 관점에서 파악하고자 하였다. 또한 외국 여성의 생리 학적 작업능력과 한구 여성의 생리학적 작업능력을 비교 평가하여한국 여성에게 외국여성의 기준치를 적용 시키는 것이 적절한지를 분석해 보았다. 본 연구는 피실험자에게 위험부담을 주지 않는 Submaximal test의 연속적인 방법(continuous mathod)중 하나인 램프 테스트(Ramp test)를 사용하여 심박수(H.R)와 산소 소모 량(V0$_{2}$) 측정하여 최대심박수에서의 PWC를 추정하였다. 작업 부하는 자전거 에르고노미터와 트레드 밀을 사용하여부과하였다. 실험 결과로서 자전거 에르고미터의 경우 치대산소 소모량의 추정치 평균이 1818.79ml/min으로 나타 났고 트레드밀의 경우 2076.33ml/min으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 자전거 에르고 노미터의 결과는 자전거 에르고노미터의 결과가 트레드밀의 결과에 87.60%정도 나타났다.

A Study on the Change of Needs for Using Rehabilitation Services of Injured Workers (산재근로자의 재활서비스 이용욕구 변동 연구)

  • This study is purposed to analyze how the utilization of rehabilitation services and the desire for service utilization changes with time, to explain the factors affecting service needs and to suggest direction of policy improvement for injured workers. Using the Workers' Compensation Insurance Panel Data ver.1~3, this study analyzed 5,004 observations. Panel regression analysis was performed using STATA to examine changes over time. Two key findings were made: first, the factors influencing the degree of need for rehabilitation services were age, educational period, ability on job performance, community service experience, re-employment and unemployment; second, the significant factors influencing the degree of need for rehabilitation services according to time were age, education period, unemployment, ability on job performance, and experience in using community services. That results were different from the previous cross-section analysis. These findings indicate that it is necessary to check and adjust the initial intervention contents after the end of the period of care on a timely base.

  • The purpose of this research was to draw implications for preparing utilizing and management course assessment type of national technical qualification based on the awareness of teachers in industrial secondary vocational high schools. To achieve it, this researcher analyzed the awareness about management course assessment type of national technical qualification of teachers at industrial secondary vocational high schools and analyze possibility to introduce course assessment qualification, degree of agreement for expected effects, and importance and necessity for the matters to be considered when introducing management course assessment qualification. Concrete results of this research are as follows. First, the degree of understanding management course assessment type of national technical qualification at industrial secondary vocational high schools was common, but the degree of agreement for introducing goal, purpose, and necessities was low. Second, for the expected effects to be obtained when acquiring course assessment qualifications, there were acquisition of qualification at the same time of education, suggestion of studying goal from an angle of concrete and significant performance, systematic education based on NCS, possibility to develop and form training career, and possibility to acquire industrial field-centered knowledge and technology in order. Third, to draw priority of each item to be considered when introducing course assessment type of national technical qualification at industrial secondary vocational high schools, the importance and necessities were analyzed. As a result, for the sectors whose requirements are more than average, there were flexibility of course assessment type qualification classes, preparation of proper measure by NCS revision, relief of edited classes of necessity ability unit, etc.

A Research on the Job Analysis of the Principal of Vocation High School using DACUM Method (데이컴(DACUM) 기법을 활용한 직업계고등학교 학교장의 직무 분석)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze a principal's job at a Vocational High School using DACUM Task Analysis Method. The contents of this research are to set the order after deriving the duties and tasks of the principal., then to verify as the importance, difficulty, and frequency of each task, and also to indicate whether it is an essential capability to have in the early stages of one's duty. Finally, based on the job analysis results, a DACUM chart was developed by the principal of the Vocational High School. The DACUM Task Analysis Workshop was attended by one DACUM analyst with LEVEL - 1 license, seven DACUM members with more than four years experience, one secretary and two administrative assistants for a two-day period. The results of the research are as follows; First, the Vocational High School Principal is defined as a school administrator who operate the vocational education curriculum of in the specialized and customized high schools of industrial demand development and the job area. The analysis derived 11 duties and 95 tasks of the Principal. Second, the importance, difficulties, and frequency of each task were divided respectively into high (A), moderate (B), and low (C), and the consensus of the experts was made to determine whether the core capabilities are acquired early on the job. Third, based on the analysis results, a DACUM Task Analysis chart of the Vocational High School principals was presented. In addition, while engaged on the job of the vocational high school principal, a list of 49 general knowledge and abilities, 16 tools, Integrated data and fixtures are required. Along with 28 attitudes 33 future prospects and characteristics of the Vocational High School principal was presented.

Determinants of Satisfaction on Short-Term Training for Vocational School Teachers - Case of Overseas Training in ODA for Developing Countries (직업훈련교사에 대한 단기교육의 만족도 결정요인 - 개도국의 국내초청 직업훈련을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to research factors determining satisfaction on the short-term training courses offered to vocational school teachers, and to analyze the case of the overseas training for developing countries. An empirical study is performed by surveying 226 trainees having participated in international HRD program of the HRD Korea during 2008~2011. The results show that the training demand survey, training period and fitting to the trainees' major and the educational level positively affect the satisfaction on the short-term training for teachers of vocational schools. The implication of this study is that programs customized to personal attributes and educational level are needed in the ODA overseas training and the short-term training for teachers of vocational schools.
