Inland ASF Measurement by Signal of the 9930M Station (9930M국 로란-C 신호를 이용한 내륙 ASF 측정 연구)

  • The LORAN system had been used widely and it was an essential navigation aid for ships in the ocean until the GPS is adopted actively. In particular, it was essential functionality for the ships to sail the oceans. According to the advancement of industry, however, the current accuracy of traditional Loran is insufficient for the utilization of harbour approach, land navigation, and the field of survey and timing. Therefore it is necessary that the study on the improvement of the positioning accuracy of Loran. The one of the improving methods is to measure and compensate the propagation time delay between the transmitter and user's receiver, which is called as additional secondary factor (ASF). In this study, we measured the ASF between the Pohang master transmitting station (9930M) and four points where locate within 33 km apart from the transmitting station, using the measuring technique of the absolute time delay without a time of coincidence (TOC) table. As the result of measurement, the ranging error caused by the propagation delay was about 210 m at 33 km, however it can be reduced up to 40 m with ASF compensation.

Availability Assessment of Single Frequency Multi-GNSS Real Time Positioning with the RTCM-State Space Representation Parameters (RTCM-SSR 보정요소 기반 1주파 Multi-GNSS 실시간 측위의 효용성 평가)

  • With stabilization of the recent multi-GNSS infrastructure, and as multi-GNSS has been proven to be effective in improving the accuracy of the positioning performance in various industrial sectors. In this study, in view that SF(Single frequency) GNSS receivers are widely used due to the low costs, evaluate effectiveness of SF Real Time Point Positioning(SF-RT-PP) based on four multi-GNSS surveying methods with RTCM-SSR correction streams in static and kinematic modes, and also derive response challenges. Results of applying SSR correction streams, CNES presented good results compared to other SSR streams in 2D coordinate. Looking at the results of the SF-RT-PP surveying using SF signals from multi-GNSS, were able to identify the common cause of large deviations in the altitude components, as well as confirm the importance of signal bias correction according to combinations of different types of satellite signals and ionospheric delay compensation algorithm using undifferenced and uncombined observations. In addition, confirmed that the improvement of the infrastructure of Multi-GNSS allows SF-RT-SPP surveying with only one of the four GNSS satellites. In particular, in the case of code-based SF-RT-SPP measurements using SF signals from GPS satellites only, the difference in the application effect between broadcast ephemeris and SSR correction for satellite orbits/clocks was small, but in the case of ionospheric delay compensation, the use of SBAS correction information provided more than twice the accuracy compared to result of the Klobuchar model. With GPS and GLONASS, both the BDS and GALILEO constellations will be fully deployed in the end of 2020, and the greater benefits from the multi-GNSS integration can be expected. Specially, If RT-ionospheric correction services reflecting regional characteristics and SSR correction information reflecting atmospheric characteristics are carried out in real-time, expected that the utilization of SF-RT-PPP survey technology by multi-GNSS and various demands will be created in various industrial sectors.

  • 사진 현상용 확대기는 필름의 상을 확대하여 인화지에 인화될 수 있도록 하는 사진 인화 및 확대에서 필수적인 장비이다. 그러나, 기존의 확대기는 한 장의 사진을 확대 인화하는데 어려 차례의 시험인화를 필요로 하여, 시간지연, 재료비와 인건비의 상승으로 인한 사진 인화 시 원가의 상승을 초래한다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 확대기에 비디오 모니터를 부착하여 확대기의 출력 영상을 인화해 보기 전에 모니터를 통해 미리 확인할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하여, 시험인화의 횟수를 감소시켜 기존의 확대기가 가지고 있던 문제점을 해결하였다. 이때 모니터의 영상과 이를 인화한 사진의 컬러가 차이가 나는 문제가 발생하는데, 이는 본 논문에서 구현한 시스템에 색보정 알고리즘을 부가하여 문제를 해결하였다.

  • 현재 차량 위치 추적 시 사용빈도가 가장 많은 방법은, 지도상에 자신의 위치를 수치로 보여주는 GPS 수신기를 사용하여 지도상 실외의 위치를 측위 한다. 위의 GPS를 이용한 내비게이션은 차량의 진행방향, 출발 도착 지점을 설정하여 차량을 운행한다. 또한 GPS 음영지역 및 신호 지연의 문제를 해결하기 위한 지자기센서와 가속도센서를 사용하는 시스템도 있다. 그러나 센서를 활용할 경우 차량의 방향 정보를 얻을 수 있지만 음영 및 신호 왜곡 시간이 길어질 경우 정확한 차량의 위치를 판단 할 수 없다. 즉, GPS의 신호에 오류가 있을 경우 차량의 이동거리를 알 수 없으므로 차량의 회전 정보는 효용 가치가 떨어진다. 따라서 이를 보정하기 위해서는 정확한 차량의 위치를 판단할 수 있는 시스템이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 기존 GPS의 문제를 해결하기 위해 차량의 속도정보와 스마트폰의 지자기센서를 활용한 실외 위치 추적 시스템과 WiFi 정보를 활용한 차량용 WPS시스템을 설계 하였다.

  • 본 논문은 시청자의 위치에 최적화된 입체음향을 제공하는 TV 개발에 관한 것으로 2 개의 TV 스피커만으로 5.1 채널 스피커가 주는 입체음향 효과를 제공해준다. 기존의 Speaker Virtualizer 기술은 시청자가 특정 위치(Sweet Spot)를 벗어나면 입체음향 성능이 현저히 저하된다. 반면, 본 논문에서 제안하는 Adaptive Virtualizer 기술은 초음파가 장착된 리모콘을 사용하여 시청자의 위치를 인식하고 인식된 시청자의 위치 정보를 활용하여 청취위치에 해당하는 HRTF로부터 설계된 Filter를 Update 하고 두 스피커의 출력레벨 및 시간지연 값을 보정함으로써 최적의 입체음향을 재현한다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 구현을 위해 Speaker Virtualizer의 계산량을 최소화하는 기술을 제안하고 다양한 청취 위치에 해당하는 Filter를 설계하고 설계된 Filter를 효율적으로 Update 하는 Adaptive Virtualizer 기술을 제안한다. 또한, 초음파를 이용한 시청자 위치 인식 기술 및 전체 시스템 통합 기술을 제시한다.

GPS 위성과 천체 역학을 이용한 위치 결정

  • GPS는 지구 중심으로부터 GPS 위성의 거리와 위성과 관측자사이의 의사거리(pseudorange)를 이용해서 위치를 결정하는 시스템이다. 1993년 6월 12일 연세대학교에서 3시간동안 관측하여 연세대학교의 위치를 구하였다. 이 위치는 WGS-84 타원체이므로 Bessel타원체로 좌표변환하였다. 위치를 결정하기 위해서는 정확한 위성의 위치와 의사거리에 미치는 잡음(noise)을 제거해야 한다. GPS 위성의 위치 결정에는 지구 비대칭중력항에 의한 섭동, 태양, 달에 의한 섭동, 태앙 복사압에 의한 섭동, 지각, 해양의 조석력에 의한 섭동, 태양빛의 지구 반사도(albedo)에 의한 섭동을 고려해야하며 이를 위해서 위성의 Telemetry를 분석하여 구해 보았다 의사거리의 잡음중 가장 큰 요소인 이온층, 대류층에 의한 지연(delay)에 대해 연구 하였고 각각 Kiobuchar모델, Hopfield모델을 써서 보정을 하였다. 자료 처리를 P모델, PV모델을 만들어 칼만 필터에 적용하였고 RV모델이 P모델보다 더 정확하였나, 위치 결정의 정확도를 알아 보기위해서 국립 천문대부설 GPS관측소에서 결정한 위치와 비교,분석하였다.

Measurement of Reference Phase Offset for the Loran-C Transmitting Signal of Pohang (포항 로란-C 송신 신호의 기준위상 오프셋 측정)

  • In order to establish eLoran (enhanced Long Range Navigation) system, it needs the advancement of receiver, transmitter, data channel addition for Loran information, differential Loran sites for compensating Loran-c signal and ASFs (Additional Secondary Factors) database, etc. In addition, the precise synchronization of transmitting station to the UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is essential if Loran delivers the high absolute accuracy of navigation demanded for maritime harbor entrance. For better timing synchronization to the UTC among transmitting stations, it is necessary to measure and monitor the transmission delay of the station, and the correction information of the transmitting station should be provided to the user's receivers. In this paper we presented the measurement method of absolute delay of Pohang Loran transmitting station and developed a time delay measurement system and a phase monitoring system for Loran station. We achieved -2.23 us as a result of the absolute phase delay of Pohang station and the drift of Loran pulse of the station was measured about 0.3 us for a month period. Therefore it is necessary to measure the delay offset of transmitting station and to compensate the drift of the Loran signal for the high accuracy application of PNT (Positioning, Navigation and Timing).

A Digital Up-Down Conversion for Wibro Repeater using IIR Filters having Almost Linear Phase Response (유사 선형 위상 특성을 갖는 IIR 필터군을 이용한 Wibro용 디지털 상하향 변환 연구)

  • The repeater for wireless broadband internet (Wibro) system using OFDM demands the short processing delay to eliminate inter-symbol interference resulted from the time delay greater than the guard time. Towards this, the total system delay of repeater is expected to be minimized as possible as it can without distorting signal quality. In general, the FIR-type of filter is commonly deployed as a channelization filter, but due to its large amount of coefficients for producing prerequisite filter response the excessive large time delay occurs. To withstand this problem, the paper proposes the method for designing IIR filter whose response almost identical to that of the original filter. Moreover, in order to linearize the phase response of the designed IIR filter, this paper also introduce the way of designing the all-pass filter to be cascaded works for linearizing phase response of the channelization as well as the de-channelization filter. To achieve the further improvement in linearization of the phase response and reduction of the overall complexity, this paper tries to transform the integrated IIR filter group into the structure in polyphase style. The computer simulation verifies that the integrated IIR filter group designed in this paper reveals the relatively short processing delay without harming the acceptible signal quality.

  • The synchronization of Time Delay and Integration (TDI) against the temporal variation of osculating altitude in the operation of high resolution satellite imager was studied. The characteristics of osculating altitude variation was analyzed and its impact on the performance of TDI imger was also investigated. A practical ]me rate control method was proposed to compensate instantaneous TDI mismatch due to the osculating altitude variation, so that geometrical performance enhancement was achieved by the proposed method. This study is applicable to real satellite operation and can be useful for satellite image quality enhancement.

  • SIGINT(SIGnal INTelligence) includes several parameters intercepted by measurement and analysis of the RF(Radio frequency) signal from free space. One of the important parameters is frequency information. Expecially, in order to perform instantaneous frequency measurement of Radar and Missile seeker's RF signals, we use dedicated RF modules as a DFD(Digital Frequency Discriminator) to provide frequency information by measurement of the relative phase difference between signals via intended RF delay lines. It must measure and provide realtime based frequency information on short pulsed RF signal up to 100 nSec or less. This document proposes Ultra wideband DFD consisted of a RF input section of Wideband 4 channel RF delay line and correlator, a digital processing section to measure and provide frequency information from I/Q signal, and a frequency calibration section. Also, it will show design suitability based on test results measured under test condition of very short input pulse signals.
