Studies on the Rheological Properties of Korean Noodles III. Correlation between Mechanical Model Parameters and Sensory Quality of Noodles (한국 재래식 국수류의 유체변형성에 관한연구 제 3보 : 기계적 모델파라메터와 관능적 품질평가와의 상관관계)

  • The changes in the mechanical model parameters during cooking and subsequent storage, were related to the sensory quality of the noodles. The sensory hardness and chewiness were tested by Milestone method and the overall preference was evaluated by hedonic scale test. Hardness was affected primarily by increasing cooking time and in lesser degree by storage time after cooking. Chewiness was diminished by increasing cooking time and subsequent storage. The preference of wheat flour noodle was not significantly affected by cooking time, while that of wheat·sweet potato starch noodle decreased significantly by excess cooking time. Instantaneous elasticity represented the softness of noodle. The elastic components and viscosity components had significant relationship with the sensory quality of wheat noodle. On the other hand the retardation time was important for the sensory quality of wheat-sweet potato starch noodle.

  • To reduce the accident rate caused by the delay of corrective action, which is common in the construction site, in order to shorten the time from correcting the existing system to the corrective action, I used a time similarity check to inform the inspectors of the problem in real time, modeling the system so that corrective action can be performed immediately on site, and studied a system that can actively cope with safety accidents. The research result shows that there is more than 90% opening effect and more than 60% safety accident reduction rate. I will continue to study more effective system combining voice recognition and deep learning based on this system.

  • This paper proposes a path planning algorithm to reduce the inspection time of AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) machines for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) in-line system. Since the field-of-view of the camera attached at the machine is much less than the entire inspection region of board, the inspection region should be clustered to many groups. The image acquisition time depends on the number of groups, and camera moving time depends on the sequence of visiting the groups. The acquired image is processed while the camera moves to the next position, but it may be delayed if the group includes many components to be inspected. The inspection delay has influence on the overall job time of the machine. In this paper, we newly considers the inspection delay time for path planning of the inspection machine. The unified approach using genetic algorithm is applied to generates the groups and visiting sequence simultaneously. The chromosome, crossover operator, and mutation operator is proposed to develop the genetic algorithm. The experimental results are presented to verify the usefulness of the proposed method.

  • Corrosion on the surface of a structure can generate cracks or cause walls to thin. This can lead to fracturing, which can eventually lead to fatalities and property loss. In an effort to prevent this, laser imaging technology has been used over the last ten years to detect thin-plate structure, or relatively thin piping. The most common laser imaging was used to develop a new technology for inspecting and imaging a desired area in order to scan various structures for thin-plate structure and thin piping. However, this method builds images by measuring waves reflected from defects, and subsequently has a considerable time delay of a few milliseconds at each scanning point. In addition, the complexity of the system is high, due to additional required components, such as laser-focusing parts. This paper proposes a laser imaging method with an increased scanning speed, based on excitation and the measurement of standing waves in structures. The wavenumber of standing waves changes at sections with a geometrical discontinuity, such as thickness. Therefore, it is possible to detect defects in a structure by generating standing waves with a single frequency and scanning the waves at each point by with the laser scanning system. The proposed technique is demonstrated on a wall-thinned plate with a linear thickness variation.

Report on the improvement of the in vitro and specimen reception environment system (핵의학과 검체 접수 환경시스템의 개선사례 보고)

  • Purpose Sample reception environment system in nuclear medicine has not changed much compared to 20 years ago. When preparing sample for in vitro test, there was no significant change because the test was carried out by generating an own specimen from the parent specimen. In this study, We would like to introduce a method that automatically removes the sample cap using the automated decapper equipment and enables automatic reception at the same time. In addition, including a provisional reception system. Materials and Methods In 2019, it was intended to get a device that automatically removes the cap of a patient's blood sample. This equipment is the same as the equipment used in the Department of Laboratory Medicine (Vacuette Ⓡ Unicap Belt Decapper, Greiner bio-one, Austria). However, the purchase was delayed due to differences in tube size, budget, and space. In January 2020, we borrowed domestic automatic decapper equipment and modified it to suit our laboratory environment. After 9 months, we were able to introduce a system that automatically removes the lid of a patient's blood sample and at the same time automatically accepts the test. And, through the provisional reception system, it was possible to know the arrival of the specimen in a short time. Results With the use of an automatic decapper device, the sample cap was automatically removed, and the reception proceeded at the same time. So, it was very efficient at work because it shortened the sample preparation time by about 20 minutes. In addition, it was possible to prevent the examiner's musculoskeletal disorders caused by repeated wrist use. After using the provisional reception system, patients were able to be discharged quickly, and the number of phone calls to confirm the arrival of samples was reduced. Conclusion Most hospitals have about four employees in the nuclear medicine in vitro laboratory. It is effective to use automatic decapper equipment and a provisional reception system for organizations that perform work with the minimum number of personnel.

  • Method establishment needs for recent shortening the flight path, fuel reduction, reduction of the flight delay time, increase of the route capacity like as relieve congested airspace and solving future demand. However, As the existing conventional navigation systems is impossible to be resolved. Hereupon, SBAS has been developed with using the GNSS. ICAO has recommended that SBAS need to be operated with aircraft operation from 2025, korea is also developing KASS in accordance with the recommendation. In this paper, before the 2022 KASS will be completed, KASS can be expected using for flight test and inspection as analyzing KASS flight test and relative specifications.

  • The results of crack evaluation by conventional UT(Ultrasonic Test)is highly depend on the inspector's experience or knowledge of ultrasound. Phased array UT system and its application methods for small crack length evaluation will be a good alternative method which overcome present UT weakness. This study was aimed at checking the accuracy of crack length evaluation method by electronic scanning and discuss about characteristics of electronic scanning for crack length evaluation. Especially ultrasonic phased array with electronic scan technique was used in carrying out both sizing and detect ability of crack as its length changes. The response of ultrasonic phased array was analyzed to obtain the special method of determining crack length without moving the transducer and detect-ability of crack minimal length and depth from the material. A method of crack length determining by electronic scanning for the small crack is very real method which has it's accuracy and verify the effectiveness of method compared to a conventional crack length determination.

Predictive value of cobalt chloride solution for hypohidrosis with topiramate (약물 유발 소한증에서 cobalt chloride solution의 임상적 유용성)

  • Purpose : The aims of this study were to verify the incidence of hypohidrosis and to determine the predictive value of noninvasive indicator test ($Neurocheck^{TM}$) for sweating after administration of topiramate in newly diagnosed pediatric epileptic patients. Methods : A total of 46 epileptic patients (22 boys; 24 girls) on topiramate treatment were evaluated in this study at the Department of Pediatrics, Chonbuk National University Hospital, from October 2004 to July 2005. We measured sweating functions using a noninvasive sweating test ($Neurocheck^{TM}$) before topiramate medication, and after 3 months when topiramate reached its target dosage. We performed a direct questionnaire survey for the hypohidrosis related symptoms during topiramate treatment. Results : The mean age was $7.8{\pm}3.2year$. The mean dosage of topiramate was $4.5{\pm}0.8mg/kg/day$. Among the patients, there were 40 complex partial seizures, one simple partial seizure, two partial seizures with secondarily generalization, two generalized seizures, and one Lennox-Gastaut syndrome case. Of the 46 epileptic patients, 17 patients (37.0 percent) experienced hypohidrosis and hypohidrosis related symptoms, 12 (26.1 percent) had facial flushing, four (8.7 percent) had heat intolerance, one (2.2 percent) had lethargy, but no one had anhidrosis. Among the 17 patients, the mild group numbered 12 and the severe group totalled five. Hypohidrosis by $Neurocheck^{TM}$ was diagnosed in 16 patients. The overall measures of agreement between $Neurocheck^{TM}$ and the survey was 76.5 percent. The specificity of this test was 89.7 percent. Patients who showed a time delay after medication, especially over 3 minutes, were seen only in the severe group. Conclusion : $Neurocheck^{TM}$ could be clinically useful to detect and predict topiramate induced hypohidrosis in pediatric epileptic patients. We recommend that patients who show a delay over 3 minutes in $Neurocheck^{TM}$ test after topiramate initiation should be monitored for hypohydrosis.

Data De-duplication and Recycling Technique in SSD-based Storage System for Increasing De-duplication Rate and I/O Performance (SSD 기반 스토리지 시스템에서 중복률과 입출력 성능 향상을 위한 데이터 중복제거 및 재활용 기법)

  • SSD is a storage device of having high-performance controller and cache buffer and consists of many NAND flash memories. Because NAND flash memory does not support in-place update, valid pages are invalidated when update and erase operations are issued in file system and then invalid pages are completely deleted via garbage collection. However, garbage collection performs many erase operations of long latency and then it reduces I/O performance and increases wear leveling in SSD. In this paper, we propose a new method of de-duplicating valid data and recycling invalid data. The method de-duplicates valid data and then recycles invalid data so that it improves de-duplication ratio. Due to reducing number of writes and garbage collection, the method could increase I/O performance and decrease wear leveling in SSD. Experimental result shows that it can reduce maximum 20% number of garbage collections and 9% I/O latency than those of general case.

  • 신뢰성이 높은 분산 시스템은 고장 발생 시 고장을 탐지하고, 다른 관련된 노드들에게 고장을 알려주어서 적절한 처리를 할 수 있어야 한다. 기존의 act 와 time-out 을 사용한 고장 탐지방법은 수신되지 않는 ack 에 대한 부하가 높은 단점을 가지고 있다. 높은 신뢰성을 요구하는 분산 실시간 시스템에서는 데드라인을 준수하기 위해 고장처리에 대한 time-bound 를 결정할 수 있어야 하므로, 기존의 ack 와 time-out 에 기반한 고장방법을 사용하기에 부적절하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 신뢰성 있는 분산 실시간 멀티캐스트 프로토착에 결합된 고장 탐지 기법으로서 사용될 기존의 고장 탐지 방법을 대상으로 고장 탐지 방법을 실험하고, 그 결과를 분석하여 고장탐지 및 고장처리 지연시간이 데드라인을 보장할 수 있는지 검사한다.
