This study aims to obtain information about the ADL and I-ADL functions of people with dementia living in the community and nursing care facilities regarding their dementia stages for the purpose of supporting occupational therapists working in dementia care centers. The information was collected from 100 people with dementia living in the community and 100 people with dementia staying in care facilities from October 1 to November 20, 2015. 15 facilities participated in this study, including nursing homes, day care centers, health centers, geriatric hospitals and metropolitan dementia centers. All of the assessors were trained in the use of the instruments, ADCS-ADL, S-IADL, S-ADL and MMSE-K, by the researcher before conducting any evaluations or interviews. In order to compare the differences in the levels of ADL according to the dementia stage, an analysis was made via the post-hoc test after conducting a one-way ANOVA. An analysis of the residence type and dementia stage was made through the independent t-test. The comparison of the level of ADL between the people with dementia living in the community and those living in nursing homes showed differences in the moderate level of dementia for all items of the I-ADL and ADL (p<.01). The post-hoc test showed that there is a difference among the minimum, mild, and moderate levels. When the differences in ADL according to the residence type were examined, there were no significant differences in any of the stages (p>.05). Considering these results, it may be critical to identify the changes in the I-ADL rather than those in the ADL for the outcome index when conducting future intervention studies on dementia.
Recently, in contemporary society, because of the international economic crisis and the increase of unemployment, there are dangerous crime elements that threaten the safety of citizen. The Safety from the crime is important as much as existence of need. Therefore, in order to make the safety of community, the government needs to make the best effort. In everyday life, crime is the fear of the target. Therefore, if the government can not solve the crime problem, the quality of citizen's life can not improve. In order to safety of community, this study is the one of the crime prevention diagnosis about shopping district and shopping mall. Also, this study can apply to the policy. If this study can apply to the policy, the safety of citizen's life will be protecting. The content of this study consist of introduction in chapter 1, theoretical consideration in chapter 2, foreign crime prevention diagnosis evaluation in chapter 3, crime prevention diagnosis in chapter 4 and conclusion in chapter 5.
This study aims to examine developmental trajectories and predictor variables of problem behaviors and school adjustment trajectories among children from low-income families using latent growth modeling. The data was collected from the 2nd year to the 4th year (2012-2014) of a community child center child panel survey conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. The major findings are as follows. First, as the grade went up, the problem behaviors of children from low-income families increased while school adjustment decreased. Second, multi-level domains, such as individual, school, and family variables influenced school adjustment trajectory, while only individual variables, such as depression, isolation, and motivation for achievement influenced problem behavior trajectory. Third, common protective factors between problem behaviors and school adjustment trajectories were motivation for achievement in and satisfaction of the community child center. Common risk factors between problem behaviors and school adjustment trajectories were isolation and aggression. Based on the results, the implications for child welfare practices were discussed.
This study measured the quality of Elderly Day Care Services by surveying service users; data were analyzed to see the causality between quality of services, customary satisfaction, referral intention, and repurchasing intention, and to find out the mediating effect of customary satisfaction. The quality of Day Care Services has been measured based on the SERVQUAL model, and structural equation model has been used to observe the causal connection between the five factors, tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy, and customary satisfaction, referral intention, and repurchasing intention. The following is the main result from the causal effect model affecting the customary satisfaction and repurchasing intention by five quality factors of the service quality. First, it was shown that tangibles and responsiveness, as quality factors, directly affected the customary satisfaction, and reliability, credibility, and empathy did not. Second, it was shown that tangibles, reliability, responsiveness and empathy, quality factors, did not directly affected the referral intention and the repurchasing intention. But the effect of service quality on referral and repurchasing intention was mediated by customer satisfaction. Third, it is shown that customary satisfaction directly affected the referral intention and the repurchasing intention.
There are about 1,500 small or large traditional markets in Korea. Those conventional markets have been struggling for survival in rapidly changing market environment with highly intensified competition by accelerating the entrance of the Large-scale Discount Store and Super Supermarket which are managed and supported by Large companies like Samsung and Lotte. The loosing power of conventional markets have threatened the local merchants' survival and have influenced local economics falling down. To create better value for the customers who have more preference for department store and discount stores than conventional markets, conventional markets should have market orientation, which has three sub dimensions; customer orientation, competitor orientation and inter-functional coordinations. First objective of study is to find the appropriate roles of conventional markets in local areas. Second is to find out the market orientation functions for conventional markets to be survival in local markets in the long terms. Finally, this study will suggest some policies for the appropriate types of successful conventional markets considering various local situations. To achieve those objectives, we did the following procedure. First, we review the previous reports and studies of policies for conventional markets and local economy development, and propose some pros and cons of the previous policies. Secondly, we develop a market orientation framework of conventional markets, in which we suggest the developmental types and functions of market-orientation of conventional markets in accordance with the characteristics of local market and economic conditions of local areas. Then we formulate and discuss the study's contributions, managerial implications, and directions for future policy development. Especially for the policy development, we suggest the efficiency and economical effects of policy, human being development and management system, and the role of government and protection of local merchants in the development process.
The provision of support for the art of making these items needs to be considered with the focus on the following factors: the local situation of the areas where such traditional handicrafts are still made, the craftspeople involved in their production, and their communities. So far, discussion about how to reinvigorate traditional handicrafts, including those mentioned above, has been concentrated on the measures taken to promote them as part of the handicrafts industry and the allocation of the government's budget for important intangible cultural heritages. The government runs a traditional handicrafts management system and provides financial support for the craftspeople and spaces for exhibiting their work. This form of support has led to systematic management of traditional handicrafts and heightened public interest in cultural heritage, as well as publicizing the country's traditional crafts, but has made little progress in the following areas: the fostering of young people willing to learn traditional skills, diversification of the types of skills to be maintained, or establishment of the networks of collaboration among the craftspeople. The most important aspect among the efforts mentioned above is to maintain cultural traditions that are unique to each region by encouraging local craftspeople to engage in their work with a solid sense of pride backed up by financial support. This study was carried out in connection with the need to reinvigorate the art of making tanggeon (horsehair crown), manggeon (horsehair headband), and gat (black horsehair hat), which few people wear as they are used only for ornamental purposes nowadays. This study examined the circumstances surrounding the artisans engaged in the production of horsehair handicrafts prior to their designation as a cultural heritage, and the changes that occurred in the local communities associated with their production after the designation, in order to assess the status of inheritance of this tradition.
The Purpose of this study was 1) to analyse the attitudes about Elderly Assisted Living (EAL) among urban Korean 2) to consider the policy implications for elderly communal housing. The research methods used were 1) social survey research with questionnaire to find attitudes and preferences about EAL among potential elderly client in Seoul, Korea 2) interpretative suggestion for appropriate policy implications to facilitate developing EAL in urban Korea. A questionnaire was used to find attitudes/preferences about EAL was adapted from the results of the review about communal housing in the UK. The survey was undertaken from September to October, 2000 in Seoul, Korea. Data was collected from 413 subjects and analysed using various statistical techniques. From the results, location should be differentiated into urban type and suburban type. The urban type would prefer around 5 stories multi-family house style with elevator and suburban type would prefer single detached house style with shared garde. The most preferred characteristics found by factor analysis were factor I named as communal facilities and environment(the items belong to factor I was neighbour environment, communal spaces and facilities, heating system, and elevator). The most important advantages of EAL were social activities and convenience. The most salient disadvantages of EAL were difficulty of family contact. The higher the occupational status and income, the lower the preference for the characteristics of EAL with a preference for finding appropriate living arrangements in present housing market. But the higher the educational level, the higher the degree of preference for the characteristics of EAL.

Trend of wire internet has been transferred to wireless internet gradually due to the spread of mobile phone which made Possible Mobility and portability which wire internet could not afford. Not only front line of business part can access business information but also people can use government information for their daily life without limit of place. The frequent report of larceny and misuse of information has been issued to social sector that the need for IDS considering wire wireless internet. In this paper to design IDS to protect information first, searched wire internet intrusion type, intrusion detection method, and wireless intrusion type. In this paper, first, separate abnormal access at the point of system landing and detect intrusion attack with disguise through mobile wireless internet. Due to the intruder can access system normally with disguise, Circuit Patrol model has been suggested to monitor from intrusion attack.
This study aims to compare the differences of crucial factors that are associated with probation warning tickets between sex offenders and non-sex offenders in South Korea. Serious high-profile cases have occurred in recent years which resulted in public and political conners for successful sex offender management and monitoring strategy through community corrections. The official response has been to initiate a series of legislative probation and parole measures by using GPS electronic monitoring system, chemical castration, and sex offender registry and notification. In this context, the current study is designed to explore the major factors that could affect the failure of probation by comparing the differences between sex offenders and non-sex offenders in terms of their major factors which are related to the failure of probation. The failure of probation is measured by the number of warning tickets which would be issued when there is the violation of probation conditions. The data is obtained from Seoul Probation office from January, 29, 2014 to February, 28, 2014. The sample number of sex offenders is 144 and the number of non-sex offenders is 1,460. The data includes the information regarding the offenders who completed their probation order after they were assigned to Seoul Probation in 2013. Furthermore, this study uses the chi-square and logistic regression analysis by using SPSS statistical package program. The result demonstrated that only prior criminal history was statistically significant factor that was related to the number of warning tickets in the sex offender group when other variables were controlled($X^2=25.15$, p<0.05, Nagelkerke $R^2=0.23$)(b=0.19, SE=0.08, p<0.05). By contrast, there were various factors that were associated with the number of warning tickets in non-sex offender group. Specifically, the logistic regression analysis for the non-sex offenders showed that demographic variable(marital status and employment type), offender-victim relationships, alcohol addiction, violent behavior, prior criminal history, community service order, and attendance order were statistically significant factors that were associated with the odds of warning tickets. Further policy implication will be discussed.
Child friendly cities are to be prepared to create a community environment that allows children to live happily when children's rights are created when the environment in which children's rights are guaranteed is created. Therefore, this study examined the relationship between children's rights and happiness and explored what needed to be done to build child friendly cities for children. For this purpose, 1,000 elementary and middle school students in W district with the certification of child friendly cities were surveyed and analyzed. From the results of this study, first, elementary students were more aware of children's rights than middle school students. Second, children's rights affecting happiness appeared as health, social services, and educational environment. Third, children's rights affecting happiness were found to vary according to the level of school. Housing, safety and protection, and educational resources were important for elementary school students, and health and social services, and safety and protection were important for middle school students. Based on the results of this study, this study suggested that multifaceted intervention and approach should be considered for various aspects of health, welfare, education, safety, etc. to build child friendly cities.
