In a long history of geography, a variety of regional concepts have been suggested to represent the particular situations in each period. Today, post-modem situations, characterized by the development of capitalism and globalization, demand a new variety of regional concepts. The regional characteristics, such as social relations, institutional systems, ideologies and symbolism, are now perceived basically on the level of subjectivity. Currently, it is the most urgent task to integrate many conflicting opinions among a variety of subjects into the one that would seek a voluntary consent from the majority of regional residents. In this paper, it is suggested that the concept of identity is the most efficient in examining and explaining the post-modem trend of a region: variability, subjectivity, mobility, changeability, Finally, it is suggested that a special attention should be paid to the role of institutions, that is institutionalization, in the construction of regional identity, to understand and interpret the cultural-historical aspect of a regional change.

This study investigated the conceptualization and application of new concept of regional resilience with case study in Korea in order to promote more sustainable regional development strategies, while problematizing dominant regional competitiveness concept in the current regional development circle under the condition of stagnant growth and ever-existing crisis in these days. Through literature review, this paper found out that regional resilience is a useful concept both to understand dramatic regional changes and to promote new regional development strategies. Furthermore, the study formulated basic research topics and issues for regional resilience through reviewing existing research outcomes on the measurement and factors of regional resilience. Through case study of two macro city-regions in Korea, this study also found out that regional resilience patterns and processes are differentiated according to the place and its scale and that both regional industrial structure formed in a path-dependent way and regional competitive characteristics are all significant to understand the regional resilience patterns and processes.

In the face of complex crises such as a shrinking society, regional imbalance, and climate change, there is a need to seek sustainable development in local communities. In the forest sector, attempts are being made to link forest resources with local industries. However, the current support system, which is centered on the central government, has limitations in achieving sustainable forest management. On the other hand, the international community is actively promoting a shift in systems by introducing the concept of local forestry, which emphasizes local initiatives to achieve sustainable forest management. However, in the Republic of Korea, the concept of local forestry is still unclear, which hinders the promotion of a paradigm shift. In this paper, we applied the Delphi technique to conduct three surveys of 29 academics, administrators, and field experts in the Republic of Korea. The aim was to define the concept of local forestry that is suitable for domestic conditions and identify institutional measures to establish and revitalize it. The results showed that local forestry can be defined as a broad concept that is both consultative and systemic in nature and that an institutional approach that supports actors and their activities is necessary to revitalize local forestry.

식품 선택의 동기는 다양하며 개인의 가치관에 많은 영향을 받는다. 유아기는 여러 가지 기본개념들이 형성되는 시기로 이 시기에 잘못된 교육을 받을 경우 개념이 정확하게 형성되지 못하거나 왜곡된 개념이 형성될 수 있다. 이는 평생의 건강을 좌우할 수도 있으므로 유아기의 올바른 식사에 대한 가치관 정립은 매우 중요하다. 그러나 유아의 식품섭취에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 보고되고 있는 어머니의 식품선택 동기에 대한 체계적인 조사는 이루어지지 못하고 있다.(중략)

외국의 자연학습원은 크게 나누어 구미 각국의 "자연교육센타" 개념과 일본의 "청소년자연의 집"의 개념으로 대별할 수 있다. 서구의 자연교육센터는 통상 원시림이나 교육적 가치가 큰 특수한 식생이 존재하는 지역에 관람객을 위한 써비스적 기능을 담당하는 건물(Nature Center)을 짓고 건물내에 그 지역의 자연자원을 설명하는 사진, 도표, 표본 및 팜플렛 등을 비치하여 전문안내원으로 하여금 구체적인 설명과 질문에 답하도록 하고 있다.(중략)

지역사회교정은 기존의 시설내처우와 대비되는 개념으로 형사절차 전반에 지역사회가 개입하여 사회내처우를 실행하는 것이다. 이는 시설내처우가 지닌 과밀 수용, 교정 프로그램의 효율성, 범죄의 학습화 등의 문제점을 극복하고 범죄자들의 진정한 사회복귀를 도모할 수 있는 방법으로 인식되고 있기 때문이다. 하지만 지역사회교정 또한 많은 문제점들을 가지고 있어 이에 대한 해결책의 연구가 필요하다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 문제인식에 기인해서 지역사회교정의 개념과 문제점들에 대해 살펴보고 이의 대안을 제시하였다. 지역사회교정의 활성화를 위해서는 담당기관 및 인력의 확충 및 담당 직원의 세심한 채용 및 지속적인 관리를 통해 전문화를 유도하며, 전문 프로그램을 수행할 수 있는 민간봉사자와의 네트워크 구축이 필요하며, 지역기관, 지자체, 관계 당국 간의 이해와 협조가 반드시 필요하게 될 것이다. 이와 함께 지역사회교정의 실천단계에 있어 발생될 수 있는 많은 문제점들에 대한 객관적이고 실증적인 후속 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.

For all the region is the basic unit of geographical learning and the grounds of human activities, regional learning can't possible be carried out at the class. Because there are very few regional learning materials that are applicable to class and can be expanded to geographical basic concept. This paper aims to regulate the construction principles of regional learning and select the contents of regional learning. Firstly, the six basic concepts of geographical education be made a selection of the construction principles of regional learning: human-environment, location, region, interaction, change, scale. And then, I suggest the upper five subject that be based on the results of systematical geography. Those are the necessity and method of regional apprehension, the physical environment and the regional human-life, the resource and industrial activities. the regional life-space's formation and change, and the changing world and region. And I propose the subdivided the mid and the lower subject that be reflected the learner's need and the social demand, and could be experienced the results of geography and the everyday life. For the best regional learning, these subjects can be combined one or more in various scale.

본 연구는 지리교육에서 이루어지는 지역에 대한 학습 내용을 구성하기 위한 연구이다. 본 연구의 출발점은 우리나라 교육과정에 따라 진행되는, 지역에 대한 학습이 가지는 문제점과 지역에 대한 개념 형성과정에 작용하는 학생들의 지역 인식 특징에 대한 관심이었다. 학생들의 지역에 대해 인식 조사 과정에서 중간적 수준의 지역을 설정할 필요성을 발견하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제안하는 지역에 대한 학습의 틀은 지역의 본질적 특성을 바탕으로 교육의 주체인 학생과 교사의 인식이 반영된 내용으로 구성되었다. (중략)

본 연구에서는 산.학.연 협동을 통해 기술실용화와 중소기업창업을 촉진하는 효과적인 추진방법의 하나로, 대학캠퍼스나 인근지역에 "기술창업.개발센터"(Technology Business Development Center: TBDC)를 설립하는 방안을 제시하고, 구체적인 기술창업.개발센터의 개념과 체계, 설립운영방안, 우리나라에서의 효과적인 추진전략을 제시한다. 특히 국가적 차원에서 TBDC를 지방대학들을 중심으로 한 지역기술개발센터(Regional Technology Center:RTC)의 형태로 전국 각 지역에 설립하여 육성하되, 공개경쟁을 통해 선별적으로 TBDC를 지정할 것을 제의한다. 아울러 정부의 TBDC지원유형과 TBDC의 단계별 육성방안도 제시한다.성방안도 제시한다.
