Public perception of environmental health due to small-scale industries in a rural community (일개 농촌지역 주민의 소규모 공장으로 인한 보건생활환경에 관한 인식도 조사)

  • A public perception survey of environmental health due to small-scale industries was conducted in Sudong Myun, Namyangju City, Kyungki Do, recently being changed to industrialized rural community. This survey had the purpose to ascertain public interest, to identify public needs, and to assess participation for environmental health programs of rural community. The results of survey were as follows: 1. The rate of the respondents with factory worker 19.4% and half(53.1%) of respondents had lived nearby the factory. 2. Some respondents were not favor their neighboring factories(30.1%) and have discussed about its environmental problems in community meeting(14.4%) especially in neighborhood adjacent factories. 3. The respondents have perceived that: (1) major problems were water contamination, air pollution, nasty odor, dust, and noise (2) health problems were more serious in employees than in other residents (3) the employers were responsible for environmental problems (4) the health service should provided by public health center channel and participated by the residents (5) most important service for workers was improvement of working conditions. We hope the community environmental and/or occupational health delivery system for the employees and residents will be developed true public health center channel in a rural community on the basis of this result.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that constitute the memorable tourism experiences and to grasp the influence relationship between the memorable tourism experience and the tourism destination brand equity and the loyalty of the tourism destination. The scope and method of the research are derived from the survey data collected through the questionnaire survey for foreign tourists who are visiting Korea, the reliability analysis and the feasibility analysis are conducted, and the relationship between the factors is analyzed through regression analysis.   • 산업구조의 급속한 발전과 공업화는 사회구조의 변화 및 대도시로의 인구집 중, 고밀도화, 교통량의 증가를 초래하여 이로부터 기인한 도시지역의 환경 오염 문제는 쾌적한 인간생활을 위협하는 단계에까지 이르렀다. 그중에서 소 음에 관한 문제도 대기 및 수질의 오염과 동시에 도시생활 환경에 많은 영 향을 미치게 되었다. 도시 소음의 주 원인은 주로 도로교통소음이며 이는 기 하급수적으로 늘어가는 자동차의 양에 의해 더욱 심해지고 있다. 따라서 현 재 우리나라에서도 주거지역 및 준주거지역 등의 지역별 소음도 규제 및 신 설되는 공동주택 단지에서의 소음레벨규제등이 있긴 하나 이들은 상당히 소 극적이며 미온적일 뿐 아니라 실제 거주하는 주민들의 반응과는 상당한 차 이를 보이고 있으며 더욱이 주민의 소음에 대한 주관적 반응을 적절히 표현 할 수 있는 지표마저 명확하지 않은 실정이다. 이러한 관점에서 본 고찰에서 는 피험자들의 주관적 반응을 실험할 때 발생하는 변수요인들을 통제 할 수 있는 실험 실시행 청감실험을 실시하기에 앞서 대상지역의 도로교통소음을 여러가지 평가척도에 의해 평가한 후 그 현장에서 이 소음에 노출된 피험자 들의 반응을 파악하여 청취자들이 인지하는 소음레벨을 적절히 평가하는 지 표를 찾고자 한다.

Associated Factors of the Approval for the Community Water Fluoridation Program (인천시 초등생 어머니의 수돗물불소농도조정사업 찬반의견 및 관련요인)

  • The aim of this study was to analyze the factors that were associated to the approval for the community water fluoridation program. The subjects of this study were 751 mothers of elementary school student from September 1 to 30, 2012. Data were analyzed with chi-square, and multiple logistic regression analysis SPSS 12.0. Respondents approving and opposing for the implementation of water fluoridation program were 50.3% and 10.4%. The most associated factors of approval for the community water fluoridation program was recognition of water fluoridation program (odds ratio [OR], 2.98; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.14~7.76), which was followed by length of residence (OR, 2.49; 95% CI, 1.39~4.47), and recognition of sealant (OR, 1.88; 95% CI, 1.02~3.50) in the order. And the approval opinion had relationship with district of residence. It is recommend that construction of public service system on education and information in order to most peoples can confidence the necessity of community water fluoridation program.

Current Status of Community Information Services in Regional Central Libraries (지역대표도서관의 커뮤니티 정보서비스 운영 현황과 과제)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the characteristics and limitations of community information services and to explore an activation strategies. Included in this study are as follows: (1) investigate what is an appropriate representative term through the history of terminology related to community information services, (2) examine how community information services are operated in the regional central libraries from the librarian's perspective, (3) suggest the directions of community information services. The data were collected literature studies and interview with 20 librarians in regional central libraries.

Preference and Tourism Behaviors of the Tourists to the Travel-Destinations in the Eastern Area of Chonnam Province (전남 동부지역 관광지의 선호도와 관광행태에 관한 연구)

  • Tourism is multi-faceted phenomenon which involves movement to stay in destinations outside the normal place of residence. Thus, tourism is a composite phenomenon which incorporates the diversity of variables and relationships to be found in the tourist travel process. Tourism-behaviors are of major economic and social significance. With the growth of mass-tourism, the government departments of tourism is to provide many tourist facilities, to develop travel destination and tourism resources. At same time, the growth of mass-tourism has prompted perceptive travellers to raise many questions concerning the many travel destination and the tourism resources of encouraging further tourism demand. Most of tourism have a mental in their minds about various objects. This allowed him to choose tourism destination as a important rules. In tourism geography, behavioral approach to wildness, tourism resources and places has risen since 1960's. The tourist profile can be viewed under two major categories: the tourist social-economic and behavioral characteristic. Particulary, the motivations, attitude, need, values and preference of travel destinations are of crucial importance in contributing to their desion-making process. In this view, this paper is emprical study investigated travel patterns and behavioral characteristic of tourists and potential tourist in East Chonnam. The purpose of this paper is to show the spatial preference and tourism behavior of travel destinations. For this study, we are undertaken the questionary method employed by recreation geographers in order to collect research data for the East Chonnam-citizens functioned as a major tourist demand. The East Chonnam Province have many tourist-places including national park, provincial park, and local tourist-places. Thus, citizen of the East Chonnam evaluate many tourist-places very high, but evaluate the facilities of tourist place very low. The high ranks of preferences to travel destinations among tourist-places are Hyangilam, Geomoon island, Odongis land, Songkwang temple. The major travel destinations occurred the temporary travel trip are Odong island, Sunam temple, Songkwang temple. Heungkook temple, Hyangilam which are the type of mountainous in located inland. The relationship between the degree of preference and tourism behavior of travel trip for the travel destinations does not correlate each other. The result of analysis about the degree of seasonal preferences presented spatial differences according to characteristics of tourist-places. The typical travel destination are divided into seasons : Odong island. Mt. Backwoon, Goemoon island of spring, Goemoon island, Sungbul valley, Banggukpo beach of summer, Songkwang temple, Mt. Pal young of fall. The future of tourism will be rapidly grow with increase of personal mobility and leisure time, chang of tourism behavior. Thus, it is imperative that planning and development for tour-root, facilities of tourist-places should be implemented to increase tourism demand.

Analysis on the Tourist's Behaviors and Satisfaction of the Gwangneung Area (문화.생태지역에 대한 관광행태와 만족도 분석: 광릉지역을 사례로)

  • The prime objective of this study is to analyze tourist's behaviors and satisfaction of the Gwangneung area and get a reading on the tourist's socio-economic traits and the propensity of activities. In addition, it highlights surveys of the tourist's consciousness of cultural, ecological and environmental tourism resources available in the Gwangneung area and the possibility for sustainable development and ways to make the most of these resources. This study found that even though Gwangneung is mostly a place for one day family outings. the tourist's demand for actually unreachable ecological resources is high while existing cultural tourism resources have less than the expected drawing power. It was also found that tourists recognize the need for preservation of the tourism resources of Gwangneung and its potential for further sustainable development. In particular, most tourists to Gwangneung are relatively satisfied with the status of preservation of its cultural and ecological resources and environment On the other hand, accessibility, tourism facilities, and management are estimated at less than desired. Gwangneung would benefit by making efforts for the positive use of its tourism resources and improvement of convenience facilities, management and operation.

Estimation of Willingness-to-pay for Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Reservoirs in Protecting Against Natural Disasters and Dam-Break (재해·재난 예방을 위한 저수지개보수사업의 지불의사금액 추정)

  • This study analyzes the economic effect of rehabilitation and upgrading of reservoirs as a prevented method against natural disasters under recent abnormal weather conditions and dam-break. For the analysis, we divide the purpose of rehabilitation and upgrading of reservoirs into the stable supply of rural water under uncertain weather conditions and the prevention of collapse due to the aging of the reservoir. We measure the economic effect of rehabilitation and upgrading of reservoirs by estimating the resident's willingness-to-pay for the project through Contingent Valuation Method(CVM). The result shows that distributions of willingness-to-pay to prevent natural disasters and dam-break are similar to each other. About 66% of the residents in sample regions are willing to pay for the project. The resident's willingness-to-pay to protect natural disasters and dam-break are 32,250 to 46,147 won and 28,427 to 47,308 won respectively on average for all sample regions. The comparison of willingness-to-pay by type of regions shows that paddy field areas are the highest followed by facility cultivation areas and urban areas. In addition, total expected value of the projects calculated based on the resident's willingness-to-pay for paddy field areas and facility cultivation areas are much larger than actual project costs. This implies that rural residents are fully aware of the importance of the project to prevent natural disasters and dam-break and are willing to pay for additional costs if needed.

A Delivery Scheme of Alert Message for DMB Using CBS in Indoor Environments (실내 공간에서 CBS 기능을 이용한 DMB용 재난정보 전송)

  • 최근 동일본 대지진 또는 중국 쓰촨성 대지진 등 국가적인 재해 재난이 한반도 주변에서 자주 일어나고 있다. 대한민국도 마찬가지로 집중호우로 인한 인명피해가 발생되기도 했다. 이러한 경우 해당 재난지역 내의 주민들이 지역상황을 인지하고 대피하게 할 수 있다면, 인명피해를 크게 줄일 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 문제의 해결책으로 보급률이 뛰어나고 개인 휴대형 기기인 휴대전화기를 통한 재난방송 기능이 제안되었다. 여기에는 재난 방송의 특성상 지연시간과 수신율에 문제점이 있을 수 있다. 그러므로 방송 (broadcasting)개념이 도입되어 다수의 사용자가 한 번에 수신할 수 있도록 CBS (Cell Broadcasting Service) 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 하지만 이 또한 현실적으로 LTE (Long Term Evolution) 망에서만 가능하며 3세대 통신, WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) 에서는 대기전력 소모에 의한 배터리 소요로 제외되었다. 본 지에서는 CBS를 이용하여 WCDMA 단말을 소지한 사용자에게도 DMB를 통해 재난상황을 인지 할 수 있는 새로운 게이트웨이를 제안한다.

The Study of the Kwamaegi Preference in Pohang (포항지역 주민의 꽁치 과메기 기호도 조사)

  • 포항지역 주민 500명을 대상으로 꽁치과메기의 기호도 조사를 한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.과메게 용어 인지 여부에 대해서는 대부분 응답자가 알고 있었으며, 과메게 시식 여부는 92.5%가 먹어 보았으며, 먹어보 지 못한 7.5%에 대해 그 이유를 알아본 결과 먹고 싶지 않았다가 61.3%를 차지하였다. 연령별 시식 여부 차이 분석에서 나이가 많을수록 대부분 과메게를 먹어본 것으로 나타났다.(P<0.05). 과메기를 먹는때는 술안주로가 80.9%로 가장 많았다. 남(86.5%), 여(56.8%)모두 술안주로 먹는 경우가 가장 많았다. 간식으로 먹는 경우도 남자(6.6%)보다 여자(16.3%)가 많게 나타났다(P<0.05). 또한 연령이 많을수록 간식으로 먹는 경우가 많았다.이러한 결과를 놓고 볼때 사철과메기의 개발 또는 포항 꽁치과메기가 향통식품으로 자리잡기 위해서는 술안주로서의 과메기가 아니라 조리방법이나 스낵 등의 가공방법 개발 등을 통하여 반찬이나 간식으로 먹을 수 있어야 진정한 먹거리로서 자리잡을 수 있을 것이다. 과메기를 처음 먹은 꼐기는 주위의 권유로 먹은 경우가 57.9%로 가장 많았다. 연령별로 살펴보면 젊을수록 과메기를 주위의 권유로 먹은 경우가 많으며, 나이가 많을수록 먹음직스러워서 과메기를 처음 먹은 계기가 된것으로 나타났다.(P<0.05). 과메기 선호도는 92.5%가 과메기에 대해 호의적인 응답을 하였다. 남자가 여자보다 과메기를 더 선화하는것으로 나타났다.(P<0.05) 연령별로는 31~40세 연령층이 과메게를 가장 선호하는 계층으로 나타났다. 과메게를 먹을때 곁들여 먹는 것으로 과메기, 생미역,초고추장으로 먹는 경우가 가장 많았다. 포항 지역 주민들은 과메기를 먹을때 대부분 생미역과 곁들여 먹지만 초고추장 없이 먹는 경우도 적지 않았다. 대부분 3~10마리 정도 1회 먹는것으로 나타났으며, 20마리 이상 많이 먹는 주민도 남녀 거의 유사하게 나타났다. 따라서 여성층의 과메기 애호가도 많다는 것(5.6%)을 알 수 있다.(P<0.05)
