China's advertising industry has rapidly increased owing to economic growth and big market size. This paper covers the localization and relative efficiency in the Chinese advertising industry. To analyze localization level and efficiency of advertising industry, this paper uses Location Quotient(LQ) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) respectively. According to the results, the first finding shows that the higher regional development level have the relative efficiencies, the higher regional development level also have regional specialization degree. The second finding indicates that Chinese advertising industries are multipolalized region by region. The last finding reveals that advertising industry of middle and west regions has long term development potentiality owing to high specialization degree with low relative efficiencies.

This study aims at finding the effects, problems and implication of the regional economic growth led by regional strategic industries in the Chungnam Province. It identifies the contribution of regional strategic industries in the regional economic growth even though there is somewhat difference between the sub-sectors of the industries. It also finds out some problems with the selection and implementation processes. In order to improve the regional industrial policy, it need to apply portfolio type of regional industrial development strategy on according to the typology of the industrial growth stages.

This study considers the improvement of R&D promotion program and its investment efficiency for regional industry. We find out some problems of R&D promotion program and suggest plans to improve investment efficiency of R&D through practical analysis of achievement. Since the 2000s, our country has implemented diverse policies for regional industry; R&D for regional industry has become a core part of business from the point of view of regional industry. As ever, these policies are highly supported for the purpose of securing industrial competitiveness by the central government and local governments. This study, through practical analysis of certain region (Jeonbuk), reviews some problems of R&D promotion program and suggests plans to enhance the achievements of a variety of policies, strategies, and projects. We perform practical analysis using three methods for three different aspects: shift-share analysis for each industry type, performance analysis for each investment type and characteristic analysis for each company type. Reviewing the results of practical analysis, we suggest some plans to promote the collaboration of main R&D support organizations and to minimize the doubleness caused sporadically by the central government and local governments. This research will be used effectively in setting up, implementing, and evaluating R&D investments for regional Industry.

우리나라에서 원전관련시설이 어느 지역에 들어설 경우, 그 지역의 생산, 소득, 고용효과 및 산업구조의 변화 등 경제적 파급효과는 다른 지역에 비해 상대적으로 크다. 이 글에서는 우리나라 월성원전 지역과 미국의 필라델피아원전, 영국의 UKAEA원전, SSEB원전 지역 사례연구, 기타 여러 지역의 연구결과를 비교하였는데, 월성원전 지역이 상대적으로 지역발전에 큰 혜택을 주고 있는 것으로 나타냈다.

This paper is to research the present conditions and characteristics of the machinery and metal industries in Busan region from industrial cluster and network point of view. The result of this study is as follows. First, a independent machinery and metal industrial cluster has been shaped in Busan region although it is not so large. Second, the technological level and the competitiveness of the machinery and metal industries in Busan region is still low. The companies in Busan area are interacted by local network with low-tech and low competitiveness. Third, we need to invite the technological leading companies to Busan region for this industrial cluster's technological competitiveness is raised.

The aim of this paper is to suggest methodology for local governments when discovering locally customized future promising industries with regard to policies of central government, regional competencies, and industrial promising. Firstly, key industries by region specified in '5-years regional industrial development master plan(2014)' were utilized. Secondly, science and technology competency by region was calculated with analyzing patent data in each key industries. Thirdly, industrial promising was verified by calculating Knowledge Stock and Activity Index based on measuring industry-IPC linkage. Based on the methodology proposed above, case study(case of Busan city) was done. Finally, 7 core industries and 94 candidates of future promising industries were extracted on the basis of 5 digit of KSIC subdivision. The methodology is expected to contribute local governments to establish evidence-based, efficient, and future-oriented local R&D roadmapping.

This study has analysed riffle effect of shipbuilding business on regional economy in Jeonnam. For the analysis on connection to regional business, the most favored way to estimate economic effect of a certain industry in the nation and overseas, has been adopted. As a result of analysis, in case of 1,908,800 million won turnover in shipbuilding in Jeonnam, it would induce about 3,038,624 million won of production, about 940,656 million won of added value, about 13,361 employment and about 702,056 million won of income. Seeing production riffle effects of shipbuilding industry in Jeonnam on other businesses in the same area, it is found out to influence in order of on the primary industry metal products 458,784 million won, chemical products 128,250 million won, metal products 71,498 million won and on petrol and coal products 50,829 million won. Like this, shipbuilding industry is highly connected with metal and chemical industries, which make a cluster in eastern area of Jeonnam, suggesting that growth of shipbuilding industry in Jeonnam would maximize inter-industrial synergy effect in the region.

The end of cold war and the trend of the detente brought about many changes in the military security policy and in the munitions industry of the West-Europe : reduction of the defence budget, diminution of the military power force and armaments, decrease of the exportation and the domestic demand of ordnance, and augmentation of discharged laborers. This mutation caused the munitions industry and the war industrials regions to a crisis. The munition industrials enterprises which was confronted a crisis searched for diverse strategies like an reconversion to the civil products, an internal diversification and an external growth. And the European Union, the national government, and local or regional self-government implemented policies for diversification of regional economic with an reconversion in order to minimize the effect of the regional economic and society from the crisis of the munition industry.

한국의 항공운송산업의 변화인 국내 지역항공사들의 국내선 취항과 근거리 국제선 운항 및 취항 여부 등은 KTX 도입과 기존 항공사의 국내선 축소 등의 변화와 맞물려 항공 운송산업 발전에 지대한 영향을 미치고 있다. 이러한 변화된 환경은 동시에 지역항공사들의 네트워크 운영에 대한 면밀한 분석이 이루어져야 하며 이에 대한 연구가 필요한 시점이라고 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구는 도입단계에 있는 국내 항공운송시장에서의 지역 항공사의 노선 구조 및 시장 진입을 분석하여 지역의 저비용항공사 도입과 근거리 국제선 시장에서의 지역항공사 노선개발에 대하여 분석하였다. 특히 지역항공사들의 노선 개설을 위한 항공여행자들을 대상으로 한 수요자설문조사와 항공운송 서비스를 제공하는 공급자인 항공사와 여행사를 대상으로 한 전문가 조사를 수행하였다.

본 연구는 국내 소프트웨어 산업의 새로운 집적지로 떠오르는 강남·서초지역이 과연 산업지구적 성격을 지니고 있는지를 이론적·경험적 측면에서 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 기존연구로부터 산업지구의 성격과 발달에 관한 다섯 가지 차원-국지화, 네트워킹, 착근성·제도적 집약, 잡단학습, 혁신 시너지-을 도출하였다. 실증연구에서는 소프트웨어 업체의 입지변화와 창업의 공간적 분포를 살려보았으며, 설문조사 자료를 토대로 강남·서초지역이 타 지역에 비해 어떤 산업지구 차우너이 발달하였는지 분석하였다. 분석 결과 강남·서초 지역은 산업지구의 최소 요건인 물리적 집적에서는 상당한 발전을 보였으며, 혁신의 결과인 창업에 있어서도 여타 지역과는 차별화된 성과를 나타냈다. 설문분석 결과 강남·서초지역은 서울시내 타 지역에 비해 '국지화', '착근성과 제도적 집약', 그리고 '집단학습' 등의 측면에서는 뚜렷한 차이를 보였다. 이에 비해, '혁신 시너지'는 타 지역과 유사하였으며, '네트어킹'은 오히려 미흡한 결과를 보였다.
