An Analysis Of Entrepreneurship Programs at U.S. College and Universities: Focusing on Implications for Entrepreneurship Ecosystem of Korean Universities (미국 주요대학들의 창업 프로그램 분석: 한국 대학의 창업생태계 구축의 시사점 연구)

  • This article focuses on an analysis of entrepreneurship education programs at U.S. college and universities in order to determine distinctive features of those programs. To this end, we delved into the entrepreneurship programs including Martin Trust Center for MIT, Harvard University VIP program, Polsky Center of Chicago University and Stanford University program. By analyzing major roles, curriculums, and characteristics of the programs, three types of distinctive features emerged. The first feature is dynamic education-focused programs, which provide students with opportunities for applying what they have learned through startup competitions. The second is local-based programs, which take the lead in local startups by focusing on the local industry. The third is the programs with support and encouragement for startups. Based on the three types of features, we suggested critical factors for successful entrepreneurship education.

The Distribution of Bacterial Flora in Kunsan bay (군산 내만의 해양수에서 분리되는 세균의 분포)

  • This study was carried out to elucidate the preliminary ecosystem of the heterotrophic bacterial flora in Kunsan Bay located in western costal area of Korea. Samples were collected at 5 sampling stations. Among 123 bacterial isolates, 9 genera of bacteria were appeared as follows; Vibrio spp.(44 isolates/35.7%), Pseudomonas spp.(42 isolates/34.1%), Aeromonas spp.(11 isolates/8.9%), Moraxella spp.(9 isolates/7.3%), Enterobacteria spp.(6 isolates/4.8%), Bordetella spp.(3 isolates/2.4%), Alkaligenesis spp.(3 isolates/2.4%), Flavobacterium spp.(2 isolates/1.6%), and Staphylococcus spp.(3 isolates/2.4%) respectively. Total viable heterotrophic bacteria was ranged from $5{\times}10^3$ to $1{\times}10^5$ CFU/ml and the most abundant viable counts of bacterial population were showed at the stations 2 and 3. This result indicates that the coastal area around Kunsan bay is getting to contaminate far more by municipal wastewaters and industrial byproducts. and so the outbreak of the bacterial diseases will be increased in fish farms.

  • As society changes rapidly, the role and status of general education has produced many changes, and accordingly, it is forming a close relationship with various social and cultural environments around the school. Especially, the direction in which general education should proceed and the development of regional-linked general education models have been actively studied at a time when the relationship between local regions and universities is getting strong. In this study, we have provided significant policy implications related to the development and application of future university-local cooperation models by developing a subject of community service activities based learning (CSAL) to get closer to community service and by analyzing actual educational cases and applying them to real community service organizations. In addition, we closely collaborated with local volunteer organizations operated by this local government system to connect with local community service, and through this, we reviewed actual cooperative classes with a local university and local volunteer organizations for the class curriculum, and developed a model to activate the university-local educational ecosystem.

  • The study aims to synthesize the discussion of the innovation district and suggest an alternative to the governance system of the innovation district. Cluster policies that focus on industrial specialization, networking, value chains, and industrial ecosystems have shown some problems and limits in advanced industrial economies. The innovation district, suitable for the era of urban innovation, convergence of industry, housing, leisure, and related variety, emphasizes cooperation through the convergence of various innovations, workshops and industries, and communities. It is important to build a quintuple helix based on cooperative governance through public-private partnerships, integrate the physical and cultural atmosphere, and service industries that strengthen the place prestige. Beyond the industrial aspect, innovation districts can facilitate changes in urban amenities and lifestyles and creative atmosphere, such as diversity, lifestyle, charms, and openness, and promote social vitality and economic interactions. The governance of innovative districts can promote inter-organizational exchanges, and combinations. When knowledge is created through exchanges between companies, it also affects changes in the governance system, evolving from a rigid and centralized system to an open, dynamic, and organic system. Through the innovation policy, the existing Central Business Districts (CBD) can be able to be transformed into a Central Lifestyle Districts (CLD).

하천 오염현황과 대책

  • 인구의 도시집중과 고도산업사회 건설에 필연적으로 수반되는 도시하수 및 산업폐수등은 하천을 심각하게 오염시켜 하천수가 지니고 있는 자정능력 한계를 초과하고 있어 재생될수 없는 상태이므로 수자원의 보호가 요청된다. 이런 상황의 하천오염 증가 추세와 주요 오염원 및 오염물에 대하여 고찰하고 대책에 방향을 제시한다. 먼저 전국의 급수 현황과 장래를 보면 다음과 같다. 한편 수도권 한강수계를 오염시키는 주요 오염원인 폐수를 보면 주거지의 생활하수, 상업행위로 발생되는 폐수와 공장의 산업폐수로 대별할 수 있으며 수도권 한강에 유입 되는 지천 수질을 보면 다음과 같다. 위와 같은 상태의 총폐수량은 280만톤인데 비하여 청계, 중량하수처리장과 서부 북부 동부분뇨처리장의 일일 처리능력은 16.4%에 불과하다. 한편 서울지역 오염원구성비를 보면 다음과 같다. 이런 계속적인 오염물은 1977년 경우 갈수기에 80~100t/sec의 하천유량으로 희석되고 있어 자정능력 한계를 벗어나서 하류의 물은 혼탁하고 용존산소의 고갈현상을 초래하고 있다. 그러므로 도시 하천에서는 수류침체로 인한 하상퇴적을 방지하여 국소적 오염의 심화를 방지하며 유량을 증가 시켜야 한다. 수도권 한강 수계의 수질의 일부는 다음과 같다. 한편 생활수준의 향상과 더불어 수요가 급증되며 처리장의 효율과 하천수의 수질을 악화시키는 합성세제의 총생산량은 1971년에 21000톤이던 것이 1978년에는 약 50,000톤에 이르고 있으며 이중 55~60%가 서울지역에서 소모되는 것으로 추산되어 진다' 결과 한강수에서 검출되는 합성세제의 오염 현황을 보면 다음과 같이 이미 몇개 지점에서는 세계 보건기구의 허용량인 0.5ppm을 초과 하고 있는 실정이다. 또한 오염의 연쇄현상을 나타내는 중금속의 일종인 csduium의 검출 정도를 보면 다음과 같다. 이상의 하천오염에 따른 수중생태계의 변화는 물리적 화학적 생물학적 환경요인이 복합적으로 작용하는 세부적 기계에 대하여는 규명되지 않은 문제가 아직도 많으며 지표생물의 표현형은 중요한 가치를 부여하고 있다. 식물성 plankton의 우점종의 출현 빈도에 따른 수질계급을 보면 뚝섬지역 BOD 3.3~5.3 빈부수성 $~\alpha$ 중부수성, 보광동 BOD 6.0~10.3중부수성, 제 2한강교 BOD10~28 $\alpha$ 강부수성, 난지도 BOD29 $\beta$ 강부수성 등이며 이와 상이한 결과도 보여주고 있다. 이상으로 볼 때 1) 가정하수의 질을 높이기 위하여 분뇨정화조 의 효율증대 2) 산업폐수의 공정별 폐수량의 조절 및 폐수성 상에 따른 총량규제에 대비한 효율증대 3) 하천의 오염부하와 자정능력 최대한 부여 4) 폐수처리를 위한 미생물제개발 및 오염지표 종 연구와 오염내성 생물의 연구등이 종합적 으로 수행되어야 한다. 5) 이상의 모든 조사와 연구결과를 객관적으로 표기할 수 있도록 하천의 이정표가 정해져야 하겠다.

  • Mountain destination plays a vital role in satisfying the demand of natural tourism products, provides exclusive leisure, adventure and unique cultural experience. The Himalayan region includes some of the most biologically diverse habitats on Earth as well as homes to a bewildering variety of culture. The purpose of this study is to figure out the mountain tourism as a tool of sustainable development and explore the tourism destination development strategies with case study of Himalayan area. In this study, we recognized the importance of tourism for the isolated developing communities, for which, tourism provide the way of developing its economic and society. It also generates new opportunities of employment and change the soclo-economic environment of region. The hilly terrain of the state lacks reliable transportation infrastructure, therefore tourism is the only industries to support the economy and to uplift the standard of living for the people of Himalayan region. The region has large potential in the natural and cultural based tourism. The tourism development of the state may have cultural and ecological impact in future. Therefore, the planning and successfully promoting long-term policy and developing more sustainable tourism is important.

  • Recently due to the increasing uncertainty of the disaster environment caused by climate change the effects of disasters have become larger due to the confluence and solidification diversification into disaster type and secondary damage. In this paper, we apply ICBMS through intelligent information technology and big data analysis to all processes of disaster safety management to minimize human, social, economic and environment damage from accidents or disasters, and prevention by control technology preparation by education and training expansion to remember by body, response by advanced technology of disaster response unmanned technology restoration by creation of local community environment ecosystem, investigation and analysis by intelligent information technology learn about disaster safety management 4.0. In addition, technical limitation and problems in the $4^{th}$ industrial revolution and the application of big data were analyzed and suggested alternatives and strategies to overcome.

  • 2020년 역대 최장의 기간을 기록한 장마는 8월초 기록적인 폭우와 홍수로 이어지면서 전국 곳곳에 많은 인명과 재산피해 등 커다란 상처를 남겼다. 최근의 재해 발생 및 특성을 살펴보면 수자원 시설물의 운영·관리 기준의 한계를 벗어난 극단적 기후 현상의 규모와 발생빈도가 급격하게 증가하는 추세가 나타나고 있다. 이처럼 기후위기의 영향으로 집중호우, 극한가뭄 등의 발생빈도와 그 강도가 급증하는 상황에서 실제상황을 보다 신속, 정확하게 모니터링하고 예측하여 물관련 재해를 예방하고 대처하는 것은 무엇보다 시급한 과제라 할 수 있다. 또한 세계 각국은 코로나19로 인한 패러다임의 변화에 대응하고 경제위기 극복을 위해 산업 전반에 걸쳐 디지털 전환을 가속화 하고 있다. 정부도 코로나19로 촉발된 위기 극복을 위해 한국판 뉴딜의 대표과제로 디지털 트윈 사업을 추진하고 있다. K-water는 정부의 디지털 전환 정책에 발맞추어 기후위기에 따른 물관리의 복잡성, 불확실성에 대응하고 효율성과 신뢰도를 제고하기 위해 섬진강유역을 대상으로 디지털 트윈 물관리 플랫폼 구축을 추진하였다. 본 플랫폼은 유역내 기상·수문 관측자료를 실시간으로 모니터링하고 홍수, 가뭄, 수질, 댐안전 등 다양한 이슈를 사전에 시뮬레이션하여 결과를 3차원 지형에 표출하고 이에 대한 피드백을 통해 최적의 의사결정을 지원하는 체계로 구성되어 있다. K-water는 물관리 디지털 전환을 위하여 섬진강유역 구축을 기반으로 5대강 유역을 대상으로 플랫폼 구축을 확대할 예정이며, 댐하류·지류 합류부 등 재해 취약지역까지 아우르는 종합적인 물관리 의사결정의 One-System 플랫폼 구축을 확대할 예정이다. 이를 통해 유역 전체의 수문상황을 실시간으로 파악 및 신속하게 대응하고, 정확성이 향상된 의사결정으로 보다 효율적이고 안전한 물관리 기반을 마련하고자 한다. 또한 본 플랫폼에 기반한 디지털 물관리 기술 선도로 새로운 물산업 생태계를 조성하고, 민간기업과의 핵심기술 공동개발 등 기술협력을 통해 디지털 물산업 기술 경쟁력 확보에도 기여하고자 한다.

Chemical Characteristics of Rain Water at Ulsan Industrial Complex Area and Mt. Jiri Area (울산공단지역과 지리산지역 강우의 화학적 특성)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of ions in rainwater by stem flow, through fall and rainfall in Pinus thunbergii forest in Ulsan industrial complex area and Mt. Jiri area. pH of rainwater in Ulsan industrial complex area was low as compared with those in Mt. Jiri area. EC of rainwater in Ulsan industrial complex area was mainly high and there was twice difference in stemflow and through fall as compared to Mt. Jiri area. The concentration of major ions in rainwater, especially $Ca^{2+}$ and $Mg^{2+}$ in stem flow were generally high at Ulsan industrial complex area, while anions were high in the order of ${SO_4}^{2-}>{NO_3}^{-}>Cl^-$ in both areas. There was a wide difference in ${SO_4}^{2-}$ concentration in the stem flow between both areas. ${SO_4}^{2-}$ from air pollutants will result into acidification of forest soils and thereafter cause damages on forest ecosystems.

Influence of the Increase of Dissolved $CO_2$ Concentration on the Marine Organisms and Ecosystems (해수중 용존 $CO_2$ 농도 증가가 해양생물 및 해양생태계에 미치는 영향: 국내외 사례 연구)

  • Influence of the increasing carbon dioxide concentration in seawater on various marine organisms is assessed in this article with regard to the impacts of anthropogenic $CO_2$ introduced into surface or deep oceans. Recent proposals to sequester $CO_2$ in deep oceans arouse the concerns of adverse effects of increased $CO_2$ concentration on deep-sea organisms. Atmospheric introduction of $CO_2$ into the ocean can also acidify the surface water, thereby the population of some sensitive organisms including coral reefs, cocolithophorids and sea urchins will be reduced considerably in near future (e.g. in 2100 unless the increasing trend of $CO_2$ emission is actively regulated). We exposed bioluminescent bacteria and benthic amphipods to varying concentrations of $CO_2$ and also pH for a short period. The ${\sim}l.5$ unit decrease of pH adversely affected test organisms. However, amphipods were not influenced by decreasing pH when HCl was used for the seawater acidification. In this article, we reviewed the biological adverse effects of $CO_2$ on various marine organisms studied so for. Theses results will be useful to predict the potential risks of the increase of $CO_2$ concentrations in seawater due to the increase of atmospheric $CO_2$ emission and/or sequestration of $CO_2$ in deep oceans.
