A Study on the Relationship between Branding and Business Strategies of Korean Start-ups (한국 벤처창업기업의 상표와 비즈니스 전략간 연관성 분석)

  • Recently, the importance of trademarks as a core resource of corporate competitiveness to protect and differentiate products and services is increasing. Global companies are focusing hard to secure trademark rights to manage brands that reflect their core values and to respond to increasingly frequent trademark disputes, while start-ups and individuals are working hard to secure trademark to run stable businesses and attract investment funds. Meanwhile, this study conducts an empirical analysis to identify the relationship between the brand and business strategy of domestic venture startups. The analysis data used was the response data of 2,230 corporate companies from the 2021 Venture Business Precision Survey, and the propensity score matching method, structural equation model analysis, and binomial logit analysis were used as analysis methods. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that domestic venture startups' trademark ownership does not make a significant difference in terms of the level of business strategy. This was confirmed to be because the brands of domestic venture start-ups mainly advance their business strategies only through the internal competency process, while the advancement of business strategies through the external competency process is very minimal. Meanwhile, it was confirmed that the level of cost advantage strategy among the business strategy levels of venture start-ups strengthens the tendency to hold trademarks, indicating that the higher the completeness of the cost advantage level, the more likely it is to expand trademark ownership for stable sales and supply of products and services through trademark ownership and to convert to high value-added in the future.

  • The main objective of this study is to set a Collection Development Policy(CDP) for the National Library for Children and Young Adults(NLCY). Every library, in order to accomplish its duty, should maintain a written collection development policy. This paper, in this regard, strives to propose a model to comprise of basic principles of collection development of NLCY for the effective management of resources by the types and subjects. Major emphasis was put on the nature of the library as a repository and a service point for children and young adults, and a hub for children-related research. As a result, a model collection development policy appropriate for NLCY has been proposed by analyzing cases in other countries to guide establishing principles for determining and analyzing the types and magnitude of the collection acquisition.

A Study on the Management of the Advanced Degree Programs Commissioned by the ROK Armed Forces (육군 전문학위 위탁교육의 성과관리에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the degree programs commissioned by the ROK Armed Forces, and to search for improvements. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, a research model was designed according to the CIPP evaluation model of Daniel Stufflebeam. The researcher conducted an analysis of documents, interviews, surveys, and data associated with the commissioned degree programs. On the basis of empirical analysis, this study debated various ways of improving the programs. This study found that the object of commissioned education in the Army did not actively reflect national defense strategy nor the army strategy in cultivating talented people. Nevertheless, this study found that the educational program helped improve individual competency because the budget for the programs was sufficient and was effectively implemented. However, there are not enough personnel to administer these commissioned programs. The contents of education strongly reflected the objective of the original commission's programs. However, the research papers produced by the students did not live up to the needs of the military to some extent. Lastly, most graduate students were satisfied with this program and found the program to be very helpful to carry out their missions and cultivate their expertise.

제주 특산 향토자원을 이용한 산업화 현황

  • 제주지역은 8,000여종의 생물종다양성 자원을 가진 생물유전자원의 보고로 알려져 있으며, 종다양성자원을 활용한 산업개발 잠재력이 크다고 평가 받고 있다. 특히 아열대 생물자원에 대한 산업개발 가치는 매우 높다 할 수 있다. 현재, 제주지역 생물산업 분야 연구인력은 430여명, 연간 학 석 박사 졸업생은 600여 명으로 전문인력 배출면에서 양적으로는 풍부한 상황이며, 도내 생물산업 관련 연구기관은 45개로 양적으로는 적은 편이 아니나 질적인 측면에서는 기술혁신역량이 다소 부족 형편이다. 도내 생물산업체는 250여 개로 대부분 저부가가치 농수산물 단순가공 및 식품가공업이나, 최근에 향장품산업체를 포함하는 중견기업이 유치되고 있다. 특히, 지방산업기술 혁신을 통한 지역 산업간 기술 격차를 완화하여 광역경제권 실현을 앞당기고 지역 균형발전 및 지역경제 활성화에 기여하기 위한 사업으로 제주의 다양한 생물자원을 활용한 건강 뷰티 생물산업을 지역 특화산업으로 육성하기 위해 산업화 소재를 발굴하고 기술개발을 전담하는 연구기관이 절실하게 필요함에 따라 국가균형발전 및 지역산업기술 고도화를 위한 지식경제부의 지자체연구소육성사업계획으로 제주생물종다양성연구소가 설립되었으며, 본 연구소에서는 생물자원 정보 구축, 보존 관리 체계 확립으로 생물주권을 확보하고 1, 3차산업 중심의 산업구조를 개선 및 기업 유치 보육을 통한 건강 뷰티 생물산업 육성을 목표로 고용창출 및 균형발전에 이바지 하고 있다. 현재, 제주생물종다양성연구소는 (재)제주테크노파크 부설연구소로 통합 운영 중에 있으며, 제주 향토생물자원 산업화 거점 연구기관으로서 제주자생식물 및 잉여 농수산물을 활용한 기능성 제품 개발 지원, 향토생물자원 발굴 및 고부가가치 산업 소재화 기술개발을 통해 향토산업 육성 등 지역 경제발전에 이바지하고 있다. 이에 본 연구소에서 수행 중인 제주 특산 향토자원을 이용한 산업화 현황을 소개하고자 한다.

An Algorithm for evaluating Combat Power Effectiveness by considering the Influence of Human Factors (인적요소의 영향력을 고려한 전투효과 평가 알고리즘)

  • Each area of society has changed because of the development of information technology. Especially, the advent of NCW based on the technology of network has become a new paradigm for executing warfare. Effectiveness of NCW can be maximized by building the C4I system which is a core system of NCW. However, if we don't consider the influence in term of human dimension, we can't expect the effect of C4I system, since the key factor in C4I is human. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for evaluating Combat Power Effectiveness by considering the Influence of Human Factors that wasn't reflected in the past. Based on experimental validation our algorithm is more substantial than baseline algorithms. In addition, we proved that the Influence of Human Factors(e.g. collaboration) is the most important in battlefield. Therefore, proposed algorithm can be used for enhancing not only mission effectiveness in terms of military field but also work performance by effective Human Resource Management in terms of an enterprise.

  • The knowledge management starts from the enhancement of learning capability in the members of the organization. The strategic change into the learning organization should be aligned with the change of organizational strategy, structure and processes. The study employed action learning methodology to transform the traditional organization into the learning one. The learning organization project has been successful thanks to the members' zeal and consensus to change the processes. However, not every learning team has been so successful. Some cases complained time consuming where others expect to be helpful for their incentives. The researchers concluded that the most important point for success of the learning organization project should be the support of top management.

A Study on the Investment Level and Administrative Competence of Information Security by Industry (산업별 정보보안의 투자 수준과 관리 역량에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine what are the important variables for information security compliance and whether the information security investment by the industry is different. To comply with the information security policies, the organization must establish measures to prevent or resolve information security incidents. This research process consists of four stages, and the analysis method was conducted with the categorical regression analysis and the correspondence analysis. The first analysis analyzed the independent variables that affect security regulations compliance. The rest of the analysis was conducted by industry in the order of security compliance regulations, manpower investment, and budget investment. As a result of the first analysis, this had positive effects on an organization and personal information protection awareness, joint operation organization of information protection, manpower and budget investment, corporate size, and industry. The correspondence analysis was conducted from the second analysis to the fourth analysis and it analyzed the differences in information security investment by industry. The second analysis showed that the construction industry, science and technology industry, and finance industry have higher compliance with security regulations than other industries. The third analysis showed that the financial industry and the science and technology industry were higher than other industries. The last analysis showed that the financial industry was higher than other industries. The theoretical contribution of this study provided the basis for updating the information security theory. The practical contribution of this study requires government support to reduce information security deviations by industry.

Psychosocial Impacts of Newborn Bloodspot Screening on Parents: A Scoping Review (신생아 스크리닝이 부모에게 미치는 사회심리적 영향: 주제범위 문헌고찰)

  • This study synthesized the literature to identify parental psychosocial impact and related factors on newborn bloodspot screening (NBS) process. A scoping review, using the framework proposed by Arksey and O'Malley (2005), was conducted. A literature search was performed of electronic databases (PubMed, CINAHL, RISS, KISS, DBpia) from 2000 to 2023. In total 749 published articles were identified, and 32 articles were included for the final analysis. Almost studies were descriptive studies using survey or interviews and only one intervention study to reduce negative psychosocial impacts was identified. Parents were experiencing negative psychosocial impacts, particularly related to how positive results were initially communicated and had difficulties accessing timely and reliable information. Findings identified that knowledge, quality and satisfaction of education and communication, information sources and providers as related factors of parental psychosocial impacts. Prenatal and postpartum repeated education, providing timely and reliable information, effective communication between health care providers and parents were key to mitigate negative psychosocial impacts. Nurses can play important roles to improve quality on NBS.

A Personalized Recommendation System Using Machine Learning for Performing Arts Genre (머신러닝을 이용한 공연문화예술 개인화 장르 추천 시스템)

  • Despite the expansion of the market of performing arts and culture, small and medium size theaters are still experiencing difficulties due to poor accessibility of information by consumers. This study proposes a machine learning based genre recommendation system as an alternative to enhance the marketing capability of small and medium sized theaters. We developed five recommendation systems that recommend three genres per customer using customer master DB and transaction history DB of domestic venues. We propose an optimal recommendation system by comparing performances of recommendation system. As a result, the recommendation system based on the ensemble model showed better performance than the single predictive model. This study applied the personalized recommendation technique which was scarce in the field of performing arts and culture, and suggests that it is worthy enough to use it in the field of performing arts and culture.

The Reform of the National Records Management System and Change of Administrative System in Korean Government from 1948 to 1964 (한국정부 수립 이후 행정체제의 변동과 국가기록관리체제의 개편(1948년~64년))

  • The national records management system of the Korean Government has been developed in a close relationship with changes in the administrative system. The national records management system established immediately after the establishment of the Korean Government, began to be reformed as a system with a new feature during the quick transition of the administrative system during the early 1960s. Particularly this new system holds an important meaning in that it began to cope with the mass production system of records and was established on the government level for the first time since the establishment of the government. Also this was a basic framework that defined the records management pattern of the Korean Government for the later 40 years. Therefore, this study aims to identify the origin and the meaning of the national records management system established during the early 1960s. At the time of establishing the government, the administrative system of the Korean Government was not completely free from the framework of the administrative system of the Chosen General Government. This was mainly because the Korean Government had no capability to renovate the administrative system. This was not an exception also for the national records management system. In other words, the forms and preparation methods of official document, an official document management process, and the classification and appraisal system used the records management system of the Chosen General Government without any alteration. Main factors that brought about the reform of the national records management system as well as the change in the Korean administrative system during the early 1960s, were being created in Korean society, starting from the mid 1950s. This resulted from the growth of Korean Army, public officers, and students of administrative science as being the intrinsic elites of Korean society through their respective experience of the US administration. In particular, the reform of the creation, classification, filing, transfer, and preservation system shown during the introduction of a scientific management system of the US Army in the Korean Army was a meaningful change given the historic developing process of Korean records management system history. This change had a decisive effect on the reform of the national records management system during the early 1960s. As the Korean Army, public officers, and students of administrative science, who had posted growth beginning in the mid-1950s, emerged as administrative elites during the early 1960s, the administrative system of the Korean Government brought about a change, which was different from the past in terms of its quality, and the modernization work of documentary administration pursued during the period, became extended to the reform of the national records management system. Then, the direction of reform was 'the efficient and effective control' over records based on scientific management, which was advanced through the medium of the work that accommodate the US office management system and a decimal filing system to Korean administrative circumstances. Consequently, Various official document forms, standards, and the gist of process were improved and standardized, and the appraisal system based on the function-based classification were unified on the government level by introducing a decimal filing system.
