A Study on Effective Knowledge Contents Management under the Digital Library System (디지털 도서관의 효율적인 지식컨텐츠관리에 관한 연구)

  • Effective resource management in the digital library should be implemented for the whole accessible sources on the network including multimedia one such as image files other than texts which focus on books. Contents management can be resource management of digital library in terms of wide scope, moreover, it\`s main function is to provide effectively tailor-made knowledge contents for users\` diversified objective of information usage. In this study, I examined main factors for more effective and advanced knowledge management including web resources under the current digital environment. First of all, I described closely several types of conceptualization and trails regarding more effective contents management and came up with advanced user-centered contents management system, i.e., user factors, intermediary factors, and finally service ones.

Public Managers' Decision-Making and Their Psychology on Managing Ecosystems (생태계 관리에 대한 공무원의 의사결정과 그 심리)

  • Many ecosystems in Korea are currently managed by government organizations. Thus, public managers' decision-making has great influence on the management of ecosystems in Korea, and their decision-making could influence the matter of whether the ecosystems of Korea are managed effectively. This paper regards the goal of management of ecosystems as securing the sustainablilty of target ecosystems, and investigates public managers' decision-making and their psychological attitude on the management of ecosystems. Basically, managerial activities on ecosystems have uncertainties and usually public managers utilize the knowledge of law, science, intergovernmental relations, and local governance as their references for decision-making. To elucidate public managers' managerial decision-making on ecosystems, this paper adopts some psychological theories in explaining the judgment of human beings under uncertainties. Effective ecosystem management by public managers can be judged by how public managers adopt and utilize all of the above mentioned four kinds of knowledge on ecosystem management. An important factor in order to let them utilize the four kinds of knowledge is policy support. Therefore, as conclusion, this paper recommends some relevant policy measures that can support the ecosystem management of public managers.

  • There is growing importance for intellectual capital, so corporations are developing Knowledge Management System (KMS) for Knowledge Management. There are two way in performing Knowledge Management, that is, Information Technology(IT) approach and Non-IT approach. IT approach focuses on developing KMS, and Non-IT approach people, business process, organizational culture and policy. According to interviews with experts and people in charge of knowledge management divisions, the IT approach and Non-IT approach should be adopted simultaneously for effective knowledge management. And, more focus should be placed especially on the Non-IT approach than IT approach for successful knowledge management. This research analyzed success and failure factors in knowledge management by questionnaire for experts and employees.

  • This paper proposes and implements a tool for the development of efficient and reliable expert system. In the expert system the inference is executed, based on the knowledges stored in the knowledge base of specific domain. To acquire the reliable results of inference, the expert system requires the facilities which can access the various kinds of knowledge and maintain the consistency and accuracy of knowledge. In this context this paper implemented the knowledge management system which maintains the consistency and accuracy of knowledge, adding selectively the knowledges without error to the knowledge base by verifying their error before the knowledges are added to the knowledge base. At the same time this paper made the expert system call and use the procedural knowledge and the declarative knowledge in the data base so that it might use the various kinds of knowledge in the process of inference.

  • In this study, we analyzed the effects of how Human resource management affects the knowledge sharing that facilitates organizational performance. Human resource management has received very little attention in the study of knowledge management. However, main drivers of knowledge activities are individual members of an organization and thus knowledge management strategies should be discussed in relation with human resource management. The results show that human resource management was significantly positively related to knowledge sharing, and the relationship between human resource management and organizational performance was partially mediated by knowledge sharing. Lessons and implications of this study for management leadership are presented.

마케팅 메시지로서의 지식: 유비쿼터스 개인지식관리 환경을 중심으로

  • 본 연구는 개인이 이른바 '유비쿼터스 개인지식관리 시스템'을 갖추고 있을 때 발생하게 될 것으로 예상되는 마케팅 메시지로서의 지식의 역할에 대한 개념적 연구를 수행한다. 기존의 마케팅 광고 메시지는 인간의 생물학적인 감각과 인지, 기억 능력에 의존하였기 때문에 반복적이고 자극적이어야만 했다. 그러나 유비쿼터스 환경에서는 UPA(Ubiquitous Personal Assistant)를 활용하여 개인이 소비하는 컨텐트를 이음매 없이(Seamless) 습득, 저장할 수 있게 되며, 이러한 변화는 마케팅과 광고의 방법에도 변화를 가져오게 될 것으로 판단된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 개인지식관리를 통하여 변화되는 마케팅과 광고의 모습을 나타내고자 하며, 이를 위해 시나리오를 제시하고 분석한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 과학기술 연구개발 프로젝트를 수행하는 연구 팀 및 조직을 지원하기 위한 지식포탈 아키텍처를 제시한다. 효율적인 과학기술 연구개발을 지원하기 위해서는 사람, 지식, 팀 공동작업, 커뮤니케이션, 연구관리 프로세스 등의 통합적 지원이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 과학기술 연구팀의 지식 활동을 지원하기 위한 지식관리시스템과 그룹웨어, 팀 협업시스템, 연구관리시스템 등의 통합 방안을 제시하고 개발된 프로토타이프 시스템을 소개한다.

A Collaborative Knowledge Management in Wiki-based Project Learning (위키기반 프로젝트학습에서의 협력 지식 관리의 고찰)

  • This study is about the system for knowledge management in the Wiki-based project learning. We implement the Wiki-based project learning system which is focused on a new Web paradigm and technology development to grasp the knowledge flow of a learner effectively under a project learning condition. Implementation of the system has used a Web 2.0 technology to easily understand SECI Knowledge Management types which form the Externalization, Combination and Internalization steps. Moreover, the system structure has been designed instinctively for harmonious knowledge use or reuse. As a result of the experiment, we found out that the collaborative knowledge steps moved along the flow of project learning.
