A Study on the Knowledge Formation Process of Wikipedia in Korea through Big Data Analysis (빅데이터 분석을 통해 본 한국 위키피디아의 지식형성 과정에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzed the collaborative process in time series by dismantling the edit log big data of Wikipedia Korea, a representative online collaboration community, from early 2002 to 2019. Analysis elements were extracted from the document edit records, formatted in standardized XML, and analyzed using Python and R. The ways of editors' contribution, the characteristics of data contents, and the trend of document creation were explained by the analysis. An active contribution of a small set of editors and a loose participation of the majority were revealed. In addition, sociocultural characteristics that appear in online communities were also found in Wikipedia Korea. A new, diverse set of external resources is necessary to sustain the collective intelligence. An effort to settle new editors into the wikipedia community and an openness through circulation structure to avoid the exclusiveness of the management group are suggested.

  • The study is to prove the necessity of librarian as the coordinator for the building and sustenance of "Community of Practice" in public libraries. Therefore, The study reviews literatures and conducts a survey how librarians think of their work from the perspective of CoP. The results of this study are as follows: "Community of Practice(CoP)" is the kind of community composed of "Domain", "Community" and "Practice" for knowledge circulation; The coordinator neither leader in CoP nor manager outside of CoP is necessary to sustain CoP by supporting management of CoP and promoting knowledge sharing; The programs and clubs designed by public librarians are potential CoPs; The potential CoPs turn into the sustainable CoPs when the participants of programs turn into the directors of programs; It means the coordinator of CoP is librarian in case of public libraries.

A Study on the Algebraic Thinking of Mathematically Gifted Elementary Students (초등 수학영재의 대수적 사고 특성에 관한 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to describe characteristics of thinking in elementary gifted students' solutions to algebraic tasks. Especially, this paper was focused on the students' strategies to develop generalization while problem solving, the justifications on the generalization and metacognitive thinking emerged in stildents' problem solving process. To find these issues, a case study was conducted. The subjects of this study were four 6th graders in elementary school-they were all receiving education for the gifted in an academy for the gifted attached to a university. Major findings of this study are as follows: First, during the process of the task solving, the students varied in their use of generalization strategies and utilized more than one generalization strategy, and the students also moved from one strategy toward other strategies, trying to reach generalization. In addition, there are some differences of appling the same type of strategy between students. In a case of reaching a generalization, students were asked to justify their generalization. Students' justification types were different in level. However, there were some potential abilities that lead to higher level although students' justification level was in empirical step. Second, the students utilized their various knowledges to solve the challengeable and difficult tasks. Some knowledges helped students, on the contrary some knowledges made students struggled. Specially, metacognitive knowledges of task were noticeably. Metacognitive skills; 'monitoring', 'evaluating', 'control' were emerged at any time. These metacognitive skills played a key role in their task solving process, led to students justify their generalization, made students keep their task solving process by changing and adjusting their strategies.

  • Sustainability, in general, means the protection of environmental resources and economic prosperity, with the consideration of the social, economic and environmental effect, as well as human health and the enhancement of life. Profound consideration about sustainability has to handle the overall cycle of feedstock, resource extraction, transportation and production in addition to the environmental effect. Sustainable development of the chemical industries should be carried out complementarily by strengthening the chemical process safety of the industries. In this respect, chemical process safety can be called an opportunity to enhance the compatibility internationally. Changing new paradigm in chemical process safety is formed from the overall life cycle considering basic design of existing systems and production processes. To improve the chemical process safety, the integrated smart system is necessary, comprising various chemical safety database and knowledge base and improved methods of quantitative risk analysis, including management system. This paper discussed the necessity of overall life cycle in chemical process safety and proposed new technology to improve the sustainability. To develop the sustainable industries in process systems engineering, three S, which include Safety, Stability and Security, will have to be combined appropriate.

  • 홍수완화의 관점에서 강을 관리하기 위하여 수자원의 이용과 생태계보전, 하천흐름과 형태학적 변화들에 대하여 충분히 이해하고 합리적으로 설명하는 것이 필요하다. 최근에 수변지역에서 발달된 식생은 홍수시에 감속영역과 생물들의 피난처를 제공하는 것 이외에 횡단방향의 혼합작용을 활성화하여 유사와 식물의 씨앗 및 입자성 유기물(POM)을 포착하는 기능을 하고 특히 흐름과 유사이송 및 하도 지형변화에 큰 영향을 주기 때문에 중요하다. 입자성 유기물(POM)은 하천생태계를 지탱하는 에너지원으로서 다양한 형태로 존재하고 미생물의 분해를 받아 무기화된 식생의 번무와 물질순환의 시발점이 되기도 하지만 현재까지 식생영역 내에서 그 공급과정에 관련이 있는 운동기구에 관한 연구는 아직 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 식생영역의 유사퇴적 및 분급작용, 입자성 유기물의 포착을 일으키는 원인과 흐름의 특징 중 식생영역 내에서 흐름방향으로 감속에 주목하여 수리 모형실험을 실시하였고 수변식생에서 부유사와 POM의 퇴적과정에 대하여 검토 및 모델링을 실시하였다. 수리 모형실험 결과 CPOM과 FPOM 모두 유사의 퇴적없이 그 자체로는 퇴적이 되지 않았고 수변식생의 종방향 이송의 경우 식생에 의해 퇴적된 부유사가 사련 형태로 형성이 되어 CPOM이 사련의 배후에서 캡쳐 되었다. 또한 두가지 샘플 움직임의 상호작용은 사련의 파고와 파장의 전파속도를 감소시켰다. 식생지역에서 횡방향 분산의 경우에 대해서는 각각의 유사 크기에 대한 퇴적물의 능선은 식생의 경계를 따라 형성되었고 운동의 범위는 유사 퇴적의 능선에 의해 촉진되어 횡방향으로 확산하며 확장되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 제한된 경험적인 지식보다 오히려 실험을 통하여 식생을 동반하는 장소에서 유사와 POM의 거동특성 차이 및 간섭작용을 명확히 한 후 현장에서 관측된 현상과 비교 검증이 필요하다고 사료되며 추후에 운동기구를 모델링 및 업그레이드 해 나가는 것이 앞으로의 하천생태계 예측평가에 필요하다고 판단된다.

Child Observation Assessment Practice and Reflections of a First-year Early Childhood Teacher Through Collaborative Action Research (협력적 실행연구를 통한 초임 유아교사의 유아관찰 평가의 실천과 반성)

  • Despite evidence that early childhood teachers play a critical role in guiding children through their child assessment, most beginning teachers in the survival stage face the greatest difficulties in this area. Using the intentional and purposeful tools of action research, this collaborative action study supports a beginning teacher in reflecting upon her perceptions of the 'child assessment' of young children and devising and evaluating good guidance practices. During the course of the study, the participating teacher became engaged in more reflective teaching which prompted her to perceive the "child assessment" of the children from different perspectives. As her understanding of the importance of making her curriculum and classroom climate more engaging and meaningful deepened and she reconceptualized her notion of child assessment, the teacher witnessed positive changes in her students' behaviors which, in turn, increased her sense of efficacy. These very positive, empowering results are strong recommendation for using collaborative action research especially in the novice years of teaching for it provides the teacher with a life-long transformative tool for professional development.

Present States, Methodological Features, and an Exemplar Study of the Research on Learning Progressions (학습 발달과정 연구의 현황, 방법론적 특징 및 연구 사례)

  • The purpose of this paper is to introduce the current studies and research methods about Learning Progressions disseminated to several countries including the U.S. since 2006. It also provides a methodological base to investigate learning progressions in science by introducing a case study of learning progression conducted in Korea. For this study, we described several features of current studies on learning progressions in the U.S., and reported the common ways and sequences employed in examining learning progressions especially with respect to assessment for learning. Learning progressions are descriptions of developmental pathways of learning a topic, in which science knowledge is used in students' engaging in science practices. Each learning progression consists of upper anchor, lower anchor, and intermediate steps that connect both anchors. In investigating a learning progression, researchers usually utilize Wilson's four building blocks of assessment system based on the assessment triangle. This kind of method was also applied in investigating the learning progression for water cycle in this study. We discussed implication and consideration for the future research on learning progressions in science in Korea.

  • Economic crisis, efforts to overcome the digital content industry development at home and abroad have been racing in the country's future lies in the digital content industry. Therefore, the digital content industry through vision, model identification knowledge-based global digital content market-based deployment is required. For research purposes the digital content industry to derive an alternative to national industrial development that will lay the groundwork. The deployment order for the first digital content industry, SWOT analysis performed to derive the Korean-specific model. As a result, measures based on the advancement of digital content industry as a long-term vision and specific goals are presented as staged. The age of convergence of the u-media content markets in government, corporations, consumers, and these form the structure of a virtuous cycle distribution systems for energy by being active, synergistic effects are obtained. Above all, based on the content industry to secure internal and external growth is key. Vision of the digital content, the growth momentum of the national social development policies to be used as a role model by changing the way a series of courses is required.

Copy-Transformer model using Copy-Mechanism and Inference Penalty for Document Abstractive Summarization (복사-메커니즘과 추론 단계의 페널티를 이용한 Copy-Transformer 기반 문서 생성 요약)

  • 문서 생성 요약은 최근 딥러닝을 이용한 end-to-end 시스템을 통해 유망한 결과들을 보여주고 있어 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는 자연어 처리 분야 중 하나이다. 하지만 문서 생성 요약 모델을 구성하기 위해서는 대량의 본문과 요약문 쌍의 데이터 셋이 필요한데, 이를 구축하기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 정교한 뉴스 기사 요약 데이터 셋을 기계적으로 구축하는 방법을 제안한다. 또한 딥러닝 기반의 생성 요약은 입력 문서와 다른 정보를 생성하거나, 또는 같은 단어를 반복하여 생성하는 문제점들이 존재한다. 이를 해결하기 위해 요약문을 생성할 때 입력 문서의 내용을 인용하는 복사-메커니즘과, 추론 단계에서 단어 반복을 직접적으로 제어하는 페널티를 사용하면 상대적으로 안정적인 문장이 생성될 수 있다. 그리고 Transformer 모델은 순환 신경망 모델보다 요약문 생성 과정에서 시퀀스 길이가 긴 본문의 정보를 적절히 인코딩하여 줄 수 있는 모델이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 복사-메커니즘과 추론 단계의 페널티를 이용한 Copy-Transformer 모델을 한국어 문서 생성 요약 데이터에 적용하였다. 네이버 지식iN 질문 요약 데이터 셋과 뉴스 기사 요약 데이터 셋 상에서 실험한 결과, 제안한 모델을 이용한 생성 요약이 비교 모델들 대비 가장 좋은 성능을 보이고 양질의 요약을 생성하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • Recently, developments of engineering technology are too fast change to educate the students in the college of engineering. The lag between the innovation of the technology and the education of the college of engineering becomes larger and larger. In this situation, the appropriate education update system is needed to change the curricula for the updated engineering education. In this paper, the job analysis method which is used in the technical service area is transformed to design the curriculum of the general higher education area. The job analysis method which is used in the technical service area derives the competence too detail and complex to used in the higher education area. for the higher education area, the social activity analysis of the alumni is needed to extract the representative jobs of the area. Also using this representative jobs, the job analysis and competence derivation is conducted. If needed, the regular expert meeting is held to converge the job-site opinions of the graduate and industry people. This curriculum changing process is provided as a part of the circular self-improve education system of the Electrical Engineering of the MyongJi University.
