Implementation of A Multiple-agent System for Conference Calling (회의 소집을 위한 다중 에이전트 시스템의 구현)

  • Our study is focused on a multiple-agent system to provide efficient collaborative work by automating the conference calling process with the help of intelligent agents. Automating the meeting scheduling requires a careful consideration of the individual official schedule as well as the privacy and personal preferences. Therefore, the automation of conference calling needs the distributed processing task where a separate calendar management process is associated for increasing the reliability and inherent parallelism. This paper describes in detail the design and implementation issues of a multiple-agent system for conference calling that allows the convener and participants to minimize their efforts in creating a meeting. Our system is based on the client-sewer model. In the sewer side, a scheduling agent, a negotiating agent, a personal information managing agent, a group information managing agent, a session managing agent, and a coordinating agent are operating. In the client side, an interface agent, a media agent, and a collaborating agent are operating. Agents use a standardized knowledge manipulation language to communicate amongst themselves. Communicating through a standardized knowledge manipulation language allows the system to overcome heterogeneity which is one of the most important problems in communication among agents for distributed collaborative computing. The agents of our system propose the dates on which as many participants as possible are available to attend the conference using the forward chaining algorithm and the back propagation network algorithm.

Fuzzy reasoning for assessing bulk tank milk quality (Bulk tank milk의 품질평가를 위한 퍼지기반 추론)

  • Many dairy producers periodically receive information about their bulk tank milk with reference to bulk tank somatic cell counts, standard plate counts, and preliminary incubation counts. This information, when collected over a period of time, in combination with bulk tank mastitis culture reports can become a significant knowledge base. Several guidelines have been proposed to interpret farm bulk tank milk bacterial counts. However many of the suggested interpretive criteria lack validation, and provide little insight to the interrelationship between different groups of bacteria found in bulk tank milk. Also the linguistic terms describing bulk tank milk quality or herd management status are rather vague or fuzzy such as excellent, good or unsatisfactory. The objective of this paper was to develop a set of fuzzy descriptors to evaluate bulk tank milk quality and herd's milking practice based on bulk tank milk microbiology test results. Thus, fuzzy logic based reasoning methodologies were developed based on fuzzy inference engine. Input parameters were bulk tank somatic cell counts, standard plate counts, preliminary incubation counts, laboratory pasteurization counts, non agalactiae-Streptococci and Streptococci like organisms, and Staphylococcus aureus. Based on the input data, bulk tank milk quality was classified as excellent, good, milk cooling problem, cleaning problem, environmental mastitis, or mixed with mastitis and cleaning problems. The results from fuzzy reasoning would provide a reference regarding a good management practice for milk producers, dairy health consultants, and veterinarians.

  • The rapid progress of IT technologies promoted the foundation to offer users 'Any Time, Any Where, Any Service', and wireless internet services made it possible to use wired internet services while traveling. The previous academic administration management system having migrated from wired to wireless was dependent on mobile equipments' platform because of not being constructed on standard surroundings. And in the aspect of faculty system, course coordinator plays an significant role in building curricula and manage them, and finally counseling students with regard to them. But the course coordinator can't afford to advise students on which fields of their faculty fit them and which courses they have to take. We propose a mobile course coordinator system to help students learn profound courses of their major fields. Also the proposed system is implemented by using JAVA and WIPI technology, so that it is platform-independent. A mobile course coordinator system has an inference engine considering not only course trees which tell informations about the courses in every fields, but also personal courses that students have taken. The inference engine calculates three weights, representing the significance of each course considering every fields, the score of prerequisite courses which a student have taken, and the suitability in which department each student fits. When students apply for taking lectures, a mobile course coordinator system recommends them the most suitable courses. A mobile course coordinator system is able to substitute for the course coordinator who is counseling students. And the students with personal cellular phone are able to keep tracking their courses, and improve their knowledge about major with taking courses which the system's inference engine will advice.

Analyzing the status of theoretical framework by subfields in library and information science research articles (문헌정보학 연구논문의 이론체계 현황분석 연구)

  • Based upon the assumption that both theory building and theory use are intertwined to construct a cohesive body of knowledge in the filed, this study attempts to identify the state of theoretical framework by examining the number and the quality of theoretical articles by subfield. Theoretical article is characterized as an incident in which in which the author contributes to the development or the use of theory in his/her own paper. Theoretical incidents were identified by a content analysis of 1,661 articles in four LIS journals from 1984 to 2003. The findings suggest that the four subfields, such as information seeking/use, information retrieval, library management, and scholar communication had great contributions to both theory building and theory use. Also, two research areas such as bibliometrics and professionals are very likely to be theoretical. Further, the analysis of the name of theories used by subfields could give an insight into the understanding of how the theoretical frameworks of each subfield are related.

  • IT기술기반 교육시스템은 인터넷 등장 이전에도 가능성을 인정받아 지속적으로 개발되어 온 분야이며, 교육공학과의 연계로 지식 전날의 이론체계로 각광을 받고 있다. 사이버교유도 인터넷이전부터 다양한 통신방법을 응용하여 개발되었고, 최근 인터넷을 통하여 사이버 교육시스템은 완벽한 기술기반을 갖추게 되였다. 그러나 IT기술의 급격한 변화로 사이버교육시스템은 계속하여 신기술 변화에 적용해야만 한다. 현재 정보통신기술의 변화는 방송 통신망의 융합, 브로드 밴드 네트워킹, 스마트 디바이스의 다양화, 멀티미디어 기술의 고도화로 요약된다. 이 기술의 종합한 작용으로 유비쿼터스 사회의 기반으로 진화되고 있다. 그래서 e-Learning 분야도 기존 인터넷기반 시스템과는 달리 차세대 온라인교육시스템으로 친화되고 있다. IT융합가술 기반의 온라인 교육시스템은 각종 국제표준단체에서 표준안이 제시되고 있다. e-Learning 시스템이란 선기술 기반을 반영한 표준기술을 사용하는 온라인교육시스템을 포괄하는 개념이다. 본 연구에서는 e-Learning 시스템과 유비쿼터스 기술을 반영한 e-Learning을 비교하였다. 그리고 u-Learning 시스템의 기술정립과 EOD(Education On Demand) 시스템에 대하여 연구하였다. 1. u-Learning 정의 정보산업분야를 비롯한 문화, 교육 등 모든 분야에서 유비퀴터스라는 수식어가 붙어 다니고 있다. e- Learning 교육 업계에 따르면 10년 후에는 유비쿼터스는 대중화가 될 것이며, 부가가치 규모는 100조 원에 이를 것으로 추정된다. 그래서 교육산업도 주변 환경이 아날로그 방식에서 IT 기반에 의한 디지털 환경으로 변화되고 있다. 또한 e러닝, T러닝, m러닝, u러닝 등의 용어가 생성되고 있다.키지에어컨에서 사용되고 있는 밀폐형 압축기에 대해서 그림 2에서 나타내고 있는 냉방능력 10tons(120,000Btu/h) 이하를 중심으로 상기의 최근 기술 동향을 간략하게 소개하고자 한다.질표준의 지표성분으로 간주되는 진세노사이드의 절대함량과 그 성분조성 차이에 따른 임상효과의 차별성이 있는지에 대한 검토와, 특히 최근 실험적으로 밝혀지고 있는 사포닌 성분의 장내 세균에 의한 생물전환체의 인체 실험을 통한 효과 검정이 필요하다. 나아가서는 적정 복용량의 설정과 이와 관련되는 생체내 동태 및 생체이용율(bioavilability)에 관한 정보가 거의 없으므로 이것도 금후 검토해야 할 과제로 사료된다. 인삼은 전통약물로서 오랜 역사성과 그동안의 연구결과에 의한 과학성을 가지고 있으므로 건강유지와 병의 예방 및 회복촉진을 위한 보조요법제 또는 기능성 식품으로써의 유용성이 있는 것으로 판단된다. 앞으로 인삼의 활용성 증대를 위해서는 보다 과학적인 임상평가에 의한 안전성 및 유효성 입증과 제품의 엄격한 품질관리의 필요성이 더욱 강조되어야 할 것이다.xyl radical 생성 억제 효과를 보여 주었다. 본 실험을 통하여 BHT 를 제외하고 전반적으로 세포 수준에서의 oxidative stress 에 대한 억제 효과를 확인해 볼 수 있었으며 특히 수용성 항산화제들에서 두드러진 효과를 보여 주었다. 제공하여 내수기반 확충에도 노력해야 할 것 이다.있었다., 인삼이 성장될 때 부분적인 영양상태의 불충분이나 기후 등에 따른 영향을 받을 수 있기 때문에 앞으로 이에 대한 많은 연구가 이루어져야할 것으로 판단된다.태에도 불구하고 [-wh]의미의 겹의문사는 병렬적 관계의 합성어가 아니라 내부구조를 지니지 않은 단순한 단어(minimal $X^{0}$<

Advancement Plan for Academic Research Services of Presidential Archives (대통령기록관 학술연구지원서비스의 고도화 방안)

  • As the demand for finding clearer information amid vast information acquisition increases, the enhancement of academic research services is highly important. In 2019, the Presidential Archives opened the only academic research services among the permanent archives management institutions. This study aims to identify the status of the insufficient use of academic research services implemented in the Presidential Archives, analyze problems and requirements through interviews with users who have used the Presidential Archives for academic purposes and conducted research, suggest a plan to upgrade the research services of the Presidential Archives, and offer a plan to improve the services of archives institutions accordingly. Researchers mostly sought information through an online search, but the information gap was large depending on the background knowledge, and the research scope was reduced because of insufficient information. Moreover, problems occurred regarding search tools, records management, and records disclosure, and most users were unaware of the academic research services. Therefore, the advancement plans entailed reducing the information gap among researchers, improving the search tool functions, creating more detailed descriptions of records, resolving geographic constraints, promoting academic research services and developing content, nurturing subject-specialized archivists, and providing online chatting services.

  • This study suggests a method for extending XMDR to integrate and search legacy system. This extension blends MSO(Meta Semantic Ontology) for the management of metadata, ML(Meta Location) for the management of location information, and Topic Map which is the standard language used to represent semantic web. This study refers to it as TMDR(Topic Map MetaData Registry). As an intelligent layer, Topic Map functions like an index. However, if the data frequently changes, the efficiency of Topic Map may drop. To solve this problem, the proposed system represents the relation among metadata, the relation among real data, and the relation between metadata and real data as Topic Map. The represented Topic Map proposes a method to reduce the changing relation among real data caused by the relation among metadata.

  • The software pattern is knowledge representation derived from the verified solutions or the experience of the experts. On account of the design varieties of software development, however, it is not the facilitated task to discover the best proper software pattern. This situation requires that software patterns be categorized in terms of their innate concepts. This paper proposes software pattern ontology(SPO) for the systematic categorization of software patterns by means of conceptual properties of patterns after the comparative analysis of association between software pattern and ontology. The SPO presented in this paper can establish the basis for the software pattern management system at the conceptual level. This paper also shows an idea for the application by unifying conceptual properties of software pattern and ontology.

  • Despite all efforts, many product development projects fail and lead to an introduction of products that do not meet customers' expectations. In general, designers usually relies upon their past experiences of similar products as a source of design knowledge when they work on a new design project. Designers need a set of practical step-by-step tools and methods which ensure a understanding of customers' needs and requirements, as well as a past design experience knowledge. In this paper we propose a design initial value module for an excavator that proposes a key initial design parameter value in an early design stage to improve a design process on Customer Requirements. It makes possible to support designers more effectively, objectively, and easily. Also it can propose better products in terms of a customer satisfaction.

  • 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project) 주도의 유럽형 3세대 이동통신인 UMTS 시스템에서 제공하는 멀티미디어 방송 서비스(Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service)는 무선 네트워크상에서 동일한 정보를 하나의 링크를 통해 다수의 사용자에게 제공하는 point-to-multipoint 서비스이다. 콘텐츠가 무료로 제공되면 임의의 사용자들이 콘텐츠가 제공되는 채널에 액세스할 수 있다. 그러나 채널 액세스가 가입(subscription)기반이면, 가입하지 않은 사용자들은 콘텐츠를 이용할 수 없어야 한다. 이를 위해 사용자를 인증하고 안전한 방법으로 콘텐츠를 전송할 수 있는 보안 서비스가 필요하다. 본 논문은 MBMS의 전반적인 개요를 설명하여 앞으로 논의될 내용인 MBMS 보안구조에 대한 배경지식을 제공한다. 또한 브로드캐스트와 멀티캐스트 모드 각각에 대한 MBMS 구조를 설명하고, 멀티캐스트 모드에서의 보안 기능과 키관리 기법, 콘텐츠 보호 기술에 대해 상세히 분석한다.
