These days open source softwares are being introduced and applied in many countries in the world. Especially, both government and private companies tend to become an spearhead in vitalizing the open source software. In this paper we try to check the degree of vitalizations in open source GIS software and to draw implications in vitalizing ecosystem of open source GIS software. Key players of open source GIS software ecosystem are government, private companies, academic and research institutes, and nonprofit foundations. Government does not have very little policies related to the investment and the support of open source GIS software. Private companies related to the open source GIS software are very few in the number and do not have any clear business model to make a profit. Academic and research institutes are weak in using the open source GIS software, which can be an major obstacle to cultivate software developers. OSGeo Korean branch, established in 2009, is the only nonprofit foundation in Korea which makes an effort to vitalize the open source GIS software, but its results are not very strong up to now in view of both quality and invigoration. In order to vitalize the open source GIS software ecosystem, lots of efforts of key players are needed. Especially, government efforts are very important because it can provide a trigger in vitalizing the open source GIS software ecosystem. The tasks that government should propel are R&D investment, test bed projects in the area of public sector, professional manpower training, and international cooperation and marketing.

In this case study, we investigated the characteristics of pre-service secondary science teachers' curriculum design for teaching in science museums. Three pre-service secondary science teachers at a college of education in Seoul participated in this study. We have observed and recorded their teaching practices in science museums, collected all of their teaching materials, and conducted semi-structured interviews before and after teaching. All the data collected were analyzed by using the constant comparative method. The analyses of results revealed that the pre-service teachers structured their teaching in a series of pre-visit, during-visit, and post-visit as continuous activities. They attempted to reinforce students' learning experiences during the visit by providing post-visit activities, and also properly considered the principle that activity should be personally meaningful or relevant to students. However, they lacked the perceptions as well as the practical knowledge of reducing student's novelty of the science museum by providing activities prior to the visit, encouraging to engage in joint productive activities, promoting diverse social interactions, and providing students with choices and controls on their learning. On the bases of these results, we made some suggestions in pre-service teacher education for the professional development of teaching in science museum.

This study is to present basic materials to further selection of details of health care service bill and supply resources by analysing the consciousness of radiological technologist and dental hygienist about health care service bill proposed for prevention and early diagnosis of a disease through the improvement of living habit. Subjects were 359 of dental hygienists and radiological technologists investigated from 2010 July to September for three months. As the result, recognition level on health care service bill or its details was less than 30.0% but the opinion that health care service bill is necessary was 78.0%. In its additional item, radiological technologist hope to be maintained currently, and 82.3% of the dental hygienist hope to be added, their prefered additional item was dental disease. A dominant opinion was that dental hygienist and radiological technologist as a service supply personnel were included, and their intention to participate was 8.1 in average. In conclusion, the health care service bill is indispensable, but more systematic study is required based on collecting various opinions about major contents and service provider. Particularly it is inevitable to include the health human resources such as experienced dental hygienist and radiological technologist who had completed the regular course of health education and are having continuous clinical discipline.

The objective of this study is to analyze problems and needs regarding recent education informatization in China and to seek implications for prospective international education cooperation between Korea and China. Toward this end, 76 individual and team reports submitted by Chinese trainees participated in APEC e-Learning Training Program from 2006 to 2013 were analyzed. The results are as follows. First, the most critical problem related to Chinese education informatization was identified as a lack of educational resources. The next three problems identified were, in order of importance, a lack of motivation to use ICT in education, the absence of a system for management and evaluation, and labor shortages in the supply of teachers and professional personnel. Second, with regard to the changing annual trends in China's education informatization needs, the issues of education/training and organizational environment to activate ICT use in education have been ranked high for the last eight years. In contrast, the matter of infrastructure has not been cited as a problem since 2008. However, more recently, the lack of relevant policy and the management and evaluation system have been raised, emphasizing the need for more systematic and professional policies and administrative systems.

The purpose of this research is to derive competencies necessary for students with future convergent STEAM talents, and to explore ideal student images, teaching-learning strategies, evaluation methods, and teachers' competencies and their training methods for future schools developing students' competencies. In order to figure out the features of the future schools, 25 experts from related fields, including in-service teachers, administrators, and college students in science and technology, participated in a future workshop. According to the results, students with future convergent science and technology talents are expected to have flexible thinking and creative thinking competencies to solve problems in innovative ways rather than traditional ways. In other words, it takes the power to accept and accommodate unexpected situations and solve problems appropriately in those situations. To cultivate such competencies, therefore, future schools should also be flexible and proactive. Rigid schools delivering knowledge-based information make it impossible to cultivate flexible and creative talents. Future schools should change into leaner-centered project-based classes so that students can naturally cope with various situations and solve large and small problems, and prepare assessment systems that can provide feedback based on the student's performances rather than achievement standards.

This study was conducted to see the differences of park users by classifying them with their park use frequency in terms of park use, management policy and perception, using the same survey results conducted in 2014 and 2020. Research was conducted on urban parks in Yangju, South Korea, and 740 in 2014 and 431 in 2000 survey results were used. After classifying the high-use and low-use groups according to park use frequency, this study compared the demographic differences and park use method differences according to the group, the recognition differences for the future park management direction between the two groups were analyzed and compared using statistical analysis by year. The results showed that the park's quantitative expansion and accessibility improvements were the most important issues in 2014, while the importance of park management, such as checking and improving aging facilities, providing various programs, and creating a themed neighborhood park that could reveal the identity of the area, was increased in 2020. Despite recognizing the importance of persistent management in the case of high-use groups, the results showed that they were less willing to participate in park management programs compared to less-use groups, which showed the need for a discussion of how to involve high-use groups for long term park management. This study contribute the body of literature that it seeks to understand differences of park user in terms of their park use frequency. However, in future studies, analyzing the differences of park users through a short-term study is required.

This study was empirically intended to determine obstacle factors of the global start-up promotion for the international inroad of global start-up companies. The statistical analysis of reliability and validity was conducted through the AMOS structural equation model after surveying 300 companies over 5 years old into start-up in metropolitan cities across the country. The findings are as follows. The global start-up growth had a very close relationship with capital, product development period, quality and human resources. And capital as a start-up obstacle factor was insignificant, but development period, quality and human resources had a close relationship with industrial competitiveness. Even in the mediating effect of start-up obstacle factors on industrial competitiveness, capital was rejected, while quality, development period and human resources were adopted, having a positive mediating effect. These results demonstrate that capital is not a big obstacle to the management because of the continuous support of the government due to the nature of start-up companies, but growth is in a remote future as long as there is no independent product competitiveness to maintain the quality of products at a certain level and support of professional workforce to develop and commercialize them.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence on respiration, oral motor and articulation using wind-instrument centered music therapy for patients with cervical cord injury who need continuous train of respiratory muscle. Three patients with cervical cord injury who needed continuous training of respiratory muscle were selected and post data was analyzed. The harmonica using both exhalation and inspiration was selected as an wind-instrument. Each session was taken 30 ~ 40 minutes, once a week from total 6 weeks with small group. Material about every session's work was provided for individual to maintain practice after program. Oral motor and articulation test was done to assess reflecting features of maximal expiratory flow and wind-instrument of factor related breath. Maximal expiratory flow has increased by average 25ml more, articulation has increased by 3.16 points more and the movement of oral motor has increased 11.67 points more than pre-test from the analyzation. In the comparison of the details, the increase of oral motor function was confirmed from scores on the jaw and tongue except for the lips. Based on the results of this study, this study suggests that wind-instrument centered music therapy will be a practical and effective intervention for respiratory rehabilitation in patients with cervical cord injury.
This paper focuses on strategies and issues involving a joint inscription of an Intangible Cultural Heritage element to UNESCO through multinational cooperation and conclusive characteristics and the significance of the multinational filing. The case of "Falconry", which was jointly filed by 18 State Parties including ROK and inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO on 2010, was analyzed as the main object of discussion The issues can be summarized as follows: First; State Parties that participated at the joint nomination process got to grasp the purpose of the multinational nomination mechanism a lot better than before through drawing up the nomination forms. Especially, we learned that the inscription of the falconry eventually has to contribute to the perception of ICH in general and applying that knowledge at the submission of the multinational file was the major aspect for the inscription on the list in 2010 and the extension of the inscription 2012. Second; the very nature of prosecution of the multinational nomination, State Parties are given opportunities to communicate and cooperate over their shared ICH element, through which a mutual understanding of other cultures and the national characteristics of other countries - which means implementing the very ideology of UNESCO- to contribute to cooperation and peace among nations through multinational nominations. Third, the falconry, according to the Operational Directives of the <>, has a chance to be deemed a Best Practice case, since it continuously extends through more and more State Parties participating to the multinational file. Extension of a Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity element can help defusing the tension caused by identifying the owner of the intangible heritage and can mean more awareness of the purpose of the convention.
Recently the Korean life-long occupational skill development system is undergoing rapid change and innovation on the basis of NCS (National Competency Standards). In order for the NCS-based occupational training system to be successfully established, it is required to be accepted and applied in the higher education. Universities, however, hesitate to adopt NCS-based contracted education programs of the work-and-study cooperative system due to low relevance of university education to industrial needs and absence of the reference operation model for the NCS-based contracted education programs considering Korean small companies' particular needs. This study aims to develop and apply a reference operation model for NCS-based contracted education programs of the university-linked work-and-study parallel system, focusing on the Department of Mechanical Design Engineering of College of Work and Study in Parallel, Koreatech. In addition, several operational guidelines are suggested within the framework of current law and regulations for successful diffusion of the NCS-based reference operation model. The results of this study are expected to contribute to nation-wide proliferation of NCS-based contracted education programs in the higher education and motivating companies and universities to participate in the work-and-study parallel initiatives.
