  • This study was conducted to derive a Korean model that can permanently maintain and develop Korea. After analyzing Korean society, especially modern Korea, which was the foundation of the founding of the Republic of Korea, a Korean model that can lead Korean society as a sustainable society in human society was derived. The situation of Korea and Koreans was analyzed from a fundamental level. We analyzed the root causes of deepening division and conflict and vague concepts of freedom and justice, and presented a Korean model of the Republic of Korea based on the founding ideology and constitutional spirit of the Republic of Korea to solve these problems. The necessary conditions for being a Korean were derived from the founding ideology and constitutional spirit of the Republic of Korea, the indigenous ideology of Korea, and the fashion and lifestyle of Koreans, derived. In addition, basic axioms for the Korean model were presented, and the structure of the Korean model was designed based on this. The Korean model is presented so that Korean society can lead the human society and be happy for a long time. Reflecting the results of in-depth analysis of the ideological foundations of modern Koreans, a new long-term sustainable structure for Koreans with various ideologies to live well together was proposed. The new Korean model was named the service-oriented Korean model. This is because it is a model centered on thorough checks and balances between all opponents, because it is a multidimensional dynamic Korean model rather than a simple linear one-dimensional Korean model, and because it is a Hwajaengtaeguk model that accurately expresses the identity of Koreans. It was proposed as a model for the sustainable development of Korean society. A follow-up study on specific Korean education programs is needed in the future.

  • Tourism or travel business consists of a set of services for people who visit exotic places. Payment is usually marking the end of the series of activities relating to tourism, and it becomes the linkage for the next activity. With the recent advancement of mobile Fintech technologies, we have learned that more convenient and more secure financial transactions are improving the quality of tourism. It should be noted that tourism counts on information technology heavily in terms of mobile Internet and smart devices use, which yields to a wide business opportunities for Fintech startups. However, payment information has not been highlighted for additional marketing promotion activities. The lack of research into information technology-based business models that extend Fintech services related to payment in venture start-up studies hinders the understanding of the possibility of creating new business through the value creation process after payment. This study attempts to investigate this issue based on the theory of smart tourism and service-dominant logic with developing a new information system. More specifically, marketing promotion activities after payment for Chinese tourists visiting Korea are examined. Specifically, WeChat Pay and instant tax refund service were considered while the system was developed by following desing science research methodology. This study is meaningful in that it finds a new possibility of Fintech business model by applying scientific and academic methods, and it reminds the necessity of service automation system centered on instant tax refund.

  • Green infrastructure(GI) is considered a key strategy in establishing sustainable communities. However, research on GI from the perspective of urban system dynamics and resilience lacks depth, as does its integration with physical design. This research addresses two primary causes. First, there is a gap in methods between existing GI planning, which considers static variables, and urban modeling research, which addresses dynamic variables. Second, there is a gap in information between landscape design and urban modeling research. To address these issues, this study proposes an integrated modeling approach in consideration of design decision-making. By combining the LEAM model and MCDA model, this study evaluates the relationship between GI services and socioeconomic growth, while spatially forecasting the geographies of GI demand in 2050. The resulting information reveals a potential degradation in ecosystem services over the region due to Chicago's sub-urbanization. This indicates that there would be a spatial shift in GI demand, emphasizing the need for comprehensive, dynamic GI strategies. This study further discusses the applications of evidence-based design in a studio environment. This study aims to contribute to the GeoDesign literature in terms of the creation of a more resilient urban environment by facilitating efficient evidence-based decision-making.

  • This study was conducted to design a new human model and education system for the sustainable life of mankind. Human society is facing a crisis. This study presents a comprehensive plan as the final version of the servicism study. Since the problems of human society are all human problems, research was conducted focusing on the new human and education system. Modern society is markedly different from the existing society in terms of time, space, and humanity, and the leading role of individuals is increased due to the increase in literacy, which can lead to breakdown and ground breaking in an instant. As the value of growth and freedom is increasing, technological innovation is accelerating, and industries and enterprises are growing significantly, so new technologies and industries may put human society at great risk. This study comprehensively diagnosed these problems in the current human society. The problems related to human and education were presented in depth while analyzing and synthesizing the problems presented in the existing servicism studies. The necessary and sufficient conditions for a new system to solve the problems raised were derived. And a system that satisfies these conditions was derived and presented. The new system was named servicism human and education system as a system based on the service philosophy. The structure, operation model, and implementation plan of the new system were presented. The basic structure is a human view that recognizes both reason and irrationality, an education system in which intelligence education and virtue education are balanced, and an education system in which human effort and the values of unwieldy nature are respected. A new education system needs to be put into operation along with the improvement of modern ideology and the compensation system for efforts. Since this study presented a macroscopic direction, further studies are needed to further refine this study.

  • In Korea, which has three sides of the sea, various waterfront spaces are being developed and developed along with various coastal landscapes. However, there are a lot of cases that do not consider the regional characteristic of the coast or the characteristic of the coastal landscape. In many cases, the street facilities cause the landscape degradation and the use inconvenience because of incongruity with the scenery, aging and lax management. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect the specificity of the coastal landscape in planning and directing the street facilities, harmonizing with the surrounding natural environment, and consideration of sustainability. However, there is no research or planning index for sustainable street facilities considering the coastal characteristics. Therefore, this study suggests plan elements to improve the sustainability of the street facilities on the shore and proposes them as basic plan elements, and suggests what kind of improvements should be made to improve the sustainability of coastal facilities in Korea. Based on the plan elements derived from the plan, we checked the problems and complementary points of coastal street facilities in Korea by analyzing the current status of the street facilities around the Jeju Island beach from a sustainable point of view, and suggested plan indicators that should be supplemented to improve sustainability. We surveyed the street facilities such as walkway blocks, benches, pagoda, drinking fountain, trash cans, bicycle shelters, fences, guide maps, streetlights, and shower rooms in 10 beaches in Jeju Island. This study analyzed the sustainability characteristics of the each factor of these facilities by surveying the reflectivity of the 23 plan indicators from the six aspects derived from the sustainability planning factor as conformity, partial reflection, non - reflection, and nonconformity. The results of the analysis showed that the functional aspect was the highest with 68.3%, the material aspect (53%), the landscape aspect (22.3%), the productive aspect (14.7%) and the morphological aspect (12.2%), and maintenance / management (10.6%). In addition, the facilities with the lowest fitness in each aspect are bicycle shelter in landscape aspect, bicycle storage box and trash can in form aspect, shower room in material aspect, trash can in functional aspect, showroom, guide maps and drinking fountain in product aspect, showroom In maintenance aspect. In order to improve the sustainability of coastal facilities in the future, it is necessary to complement the administrative and landscape aspects. In coastal facilities, it is necessary to consider the sustainability planning index, especially for showers, taking into account the specificity of beaches. Consideration should be given to various aspects of sustainability for bike shelters and trash facilities. Through this study, we have proposed the plan elements to systematize, supplement, and improve the planning index for sustainability improvement in coastal facilities planning.

  • Creativity is a important keyword for users as well as for main design organization who needs it. But little attention has been given to the aspect of user's creativity, also there has been a few attempt to apply it into design development until now. Nowadays in design areas, user's experiences and actions are changing the passive states receiving meanings into the active states creating meanings voluntarily. It is resonable to suppose that creative stage is important for users and they have the possibility of new ideas of uses and creating new productions. User's experiences of objects includes that of being formed or supported previously and that of voluntary interpretations acquired for himself, which it may be the possibilities predicted in design process or unknown user's action areas. It is likely that creative use process by themselves are the actions applied and deviated from usability and function by main design organization, also creative productions are arranged and made by users. These have a scope of examination and research in probability that is occurs frequently in user. In this research, approaching with a term, 'User gestures', User gestures are the characteristic action areas based on user's voluntary behaviors, where are revealed a unessential and non-operational function as a action itself and various transformation and creation of products as a outcome of action. This fact proves clearly that user gestures have a worth of alive spectrum to observe aspects of user culture and could be a attractive approach to seek easily new design concept for designer and developer. A further direction of this study will be following areas, Ethnography methods research of user gestures, Cultural research to phenomenon of user design and UGSBD(User gesture scenario based design) research. And it seems probable that they are applied in design development as follows, User initiative customization products, User participatory recycling products and creativity-experience design.

  • This study aimed to develop a modular smart clothing system for heart rate monitoring that reduces the inconvenience caused by battery charging and the large size of measurement devices. The heart rate monitoring system was modularized into a temporary device and a continuous device to enable heart rate monitoring depending on the requirement. The temporary device with near-field communication (NFC) and heart rate sensors was developed as a clothing attachment type that enables heart rate monitoring via smart phone tagging when required. The continuous device is based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication and batteries and was developed to enable continuous heart rate measurement via a direct connection to the temporary device. Furthermore, the temporary device was configured to connect with a textile electrode made of a silver-based knitted fabric designed to be located below the pectoralis major muscle for heart rate measurement. Considering the user-experience factors, key functions, and the ease of use, we developed an application to automatically log through smart phone tagging to improve usability. To evaluate the accuracy of the heart rate measurement, we recorded the heart rate of 10 healthy male subjects with a modular smart clothing system and compared the results with the heart rate values measured by the Polar RS800. Consequently, the average heart rate value measured by the temporary system was 85.37, while that measured by the reference device was 87.03, corresponding to an accuracy of 96.73%. No significant difference was found in comparison with the reference device (T value = -1.892, p = .091). Similarly, the average heart rate measured by the continuous system was 86.00, while that measured by the reference device was 86.97, corresponding to an accuracy of 97.16%. No significant difference was found in terms of the heart rate value between the two signals (T value = 1.089, p = .304). The significance of this study is to develop and validate a modular clothing system that can measure heart rates according to the purpose of the user. The developed modular smart clothing system for heart rate monitoring enables dual product planning by reducing the price increase due to unnecessary functions.
