Analysis of Kitchen Products for Sustainable Living of the Elderly Using Five Universal Design Principles (노인의 지속가능한 삶을 지원해주는 부엌제품의 유니버설디자인 특성 분석연구)

  • With the coming demographic avalanche as the number of elderly aged 65 and older is expected to double in 20 years in South Korea, the concept of retirement living will be changed in a whole new way. The newest design principles as environmental affordance system for them need to be considered. This study started with the premise that 'Aging in Place' might be the most desirable alternative for the elderly and if so, they may be at greater challenge of living in the home, especially in kitchen. The purpose of this study is to analyze various universal design kitchen products according to five Universal Design criteria with physical or mental characteristics of aging. The five Universal Design principles are 'Supportiveness', 'Adaptability', 'Communicability', 'Pleasantness' and 'Accessibility', which were developed from the previous research. The profile and the trends of the universal design kitchen products were identified with the concrete design examples. The results will be expected to make contributions to developing universal design guidelines for kitchen products, to understanding the nature of universal design paradigm, and to establishing directions for sustainable living of the elderly.

Fashion Design Study by Whole Cut Way (Whole cut에 의한 패션디자인 연구)

  • Environmentally-friendly whole-cut designs can minimize carbon dioxide emissions which are harmful to the earth, and reduce energy, labor force and time in cutting or sewing clothes. The design and way of wearing clothing will be investigated by classifying whole-cut clothing appearing in the history of costume and past traditional outfits such as Drapery, a Pancho, Tunic, or Loincloth. According to the results from the analysis of whole-cut methods applied in design, they were classified as follows: whole-cut, utilizing square-panels as is, pleats, smoking, lip band, origami, cutting way, and subtraction-cutting whole-cut design. The whole-cut design utilizing square panel as it is can minimize the waste of energy and material but can also maximize the possibility of circulation by recycling. In utilizing an all square panel, it broke away from the existing whole-cut in the western pattern, namely, the pattern of clothes clinging to the body, and was found to have new aesthetic value with a new approach. Due to the whole-cut method having a restriction in the use of dart and line cutting in its designing process, there were only designs that did not show the body line, such as designs clinging to the body. Therefore we developed a design similar to those that cling to the body by whole-cut, In addition, the work produced was with high efficiency and variability, which produces simple designs but can be worn in a variety of ways.

  • University Identity can effectively convey the core values for which schools aim by establishing university identity and integrating one unique image. Therefore, most universities are actively implementing promotional strategies such as newly defining university identity or releasing cultural products. Recently, university brands have been continuously exposed and differentiated through SNS such as Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook as well as existing advertisements and homepages. This study analyzes the identities of the top 80 universities in Korea and China, by referring to the rankings of Asian universities in the 2021 QS World University Rankings, and addresses differences in terms of design shape, number of colors, and use of English. Moreover, 'Cohen's Kappa' consistency analysis was applied to secure data accuracy by analyzing the difference in visual expression of university identity between the two countries through quantification and cross-analysis of visualized university identity design of Korean and Chinese universities. As a result of the study, it is creative, irregular, and has a lot of use of blue, red, and green, and most of them can be seen in less than two colors. In addition, it turns out that word marks and abstract forms of expression are used for university identity design. This study can present implications as effective basic data for internationalizing universities and creating differentiated university identity designs in the future.

Study on Activating a Sustainable Carbon-neutral Community through Resident Participation based on the Evaluation of Changwon City's Carbon-neutral Village Project (창원시 탄소중립마을 사업평가를 통한 지속가능한 주민참여형 탄소중립마을 활성화 방안 연구)

  • This study selected seven carbon-neutral villages, considering the characteristics of each region, including all five administrative districts of Changwon City, and proposed activation plans based on business evaluations through surveys of local residents and FGIs with leaders. The analysis showed that carbon-neutral education was the most important factor for activating carbon-neutral villages, with a response rate of 91.9% for 17 multiple-choice questions, followed by legal (ordinance) arrangements at 79.3% and village organization building at 74.1%. Based on this, the following activation plans through the participation of residents who are involved in the project of creating a carbon-neutral village in Changwon City were proposed. First, the characteristics of each carbon-neutral village model were classified into a resource circulation-based model, an environmental creation-based model, an environmental education and experience event-based model, and an energy efficiency-based model. Second, it is necessary to create and present carbon-neutral village growth stage guidelines for the growth of carbon-neutral villages. Third, manuals and teaching materials related to carbon neutrality, such as theories, issues, and practices, need to be produced and distributed for leaders and activists to easily apply and access for self-government operation of the village. Finally, if a carbon-neutral support center that is legally installable in Changwon City is established, it is expected that the lives of local residents will become more sustainable for carbon-neutral living in preparation for climate crises.

  • Background: In modern society, the importance of Public Design has become increasingly significant in contributing to the enhancement of urban functionality and the quality of life of citizens. Smart Public Facilities have played a pivotal role in enriching user experience by improving accessibility, convenience, and safety, and in elevating the value of the city. This research recognizes the importance of Public Facilities and explores the potential of Smart Public Facilities in solving urban challenges and progressing towards sustainable and Inclusive cities. Method: The literature review comprehensively examines existing theories and research results on Smart Public Facilities. The case study analyzes actual examples of Smart Public Facilities implemented in cities both domestically and internationally, drawing out effects, user satisfaction, and areas for improvement. Through analysis and discussion, the results of the case studies are evaluated, discussing the potential development of Smart Public Facilities. Results: Smart Public Facilities have been found to bring positive changes in various aspects such as urban management, energy efficiency, safety, and information accessibility. In terms of urban management, they play a crucial role in optimization, social Inclusiveness, environmental protection, fostering citizen participation, and promoting technological innovation. These changes create a new form of urban space, combining physical space and digital technology, enhancing the quality of life in the city. Conclusion: This research explores the implications, current status, and functions of Smart Public Facilities in service and design aspects, and their impact on the urban environment and the lives of citizens. In conclusion, Smart Public Facilities have brought about positive changes in the optimization of urban management, enhancement of energy efficiency, increased information accessibility, User-Centric design, increased interaction, and social Inclusiveness. Technological innovation and the integration of Public Facilities have made cities more efficient and proactive, enabling data-based decision-making and optimized service delivery. Such developments enable the creation of new urban environments through the combination of physical space and digital technology. The advancement of Smart Public Facilities indicates the direction of urban development, where future cities can become more intelligent, proactive, and User-Centric. Therefore, they will play a central role in Public Design and greatly contribute to improving the urban environment and the quality of life of citizens.

  • The purpose of this research is the activation proposal about the local design innovation center that was established as a national design policy For this proposal, I have to research about the established process of local design innovation center and then, I analyzed the present condition of local design innovation center for the promoting plan. As a result, we must establish three basic elements to activate the local design center. the first, we have to know the local characteristic. the second, we have to make up the management direction of local design center the third, we have to get the sympathy from the local administration and local people for the positive support. With above conditions, the local design innovation center have to arrange infra elements. (1) design developing facilities for the lending to the local designer, (2) professional designer for the developing of design industry, (3) program development for various activities, (4) the trend research for supply to local company, (5) design one stop service support, (6) the network foundation construction between design administration and design company for the active communication, (7) the innovation of design center for the benefit model, (8) the local design policy establishment with local administration, (9) the independent management of responsibility for the fulfillment For the promotion of the local design innovation center have to make efforts continually with below listed elements. 1. Design supporting for the local industry 2. Various design campaign for the spreading of public recognition about design 3. The supporting for design company and local company with established facilities and expensive equipments. 4. The construction of design information infra for local company 5. A Study on the Potential Use of ChatGPT in Public Design Policy Decision-Making (공공디자인 정책 결정에 ChatGPT의 활용 가능성에 관한연구)

  • This study investigated the potential contribution of ChatGPT, a massive language and information model, in the decision-making process of public design policies, focusing on the characteristics inherent to public design. Public design utilizes the principles and approaches of design to address societal issues and aims to improve public services. In order to formulate public design policies and plans, it is essential to base them on extensive data, including the general status of the area, population demographics, infrastructure, resources, safety, existing policies, legal regulations, landscape, spatial conditions, current state of public design, and regional issues. Therefore, public design is a field of design research that encompasses a vast amount of data and language. Considering the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence technology and the significance of public design, this study aims to explore how massive language and information models like ChatGPT can contribute to public design policies. Alongside, we reviewed the concepts and principles of public design, its role in policy development and implementation, and examined the overview and features of ChatGPT, including its application cases and preceding research to determine its utility in the decision-making process of public design policies. The study found that ChatGPT could offer substantial language information during the formulation of public design policies and assist in decision-making. In particular, ChatGPT proved useful in providing various perspectives and swiftly supplying information necessary for policy decisions. Additionally, the trend of utilizing artificial intelligence in government policy development was confirmed through various studies. However, the usage of ChatGPT also unveiled ethical, legal, and personal privacy issues. Notably, ethical dilemmas were raised, along with issues related to bias and fairness. To practically apply ChatGPT in the decision-making process of public design policies, first, it is necessary to enhance the capacities of policy developers and public design experts to a certain extent. Second, it is advisable to create a provisional regulation named 'Ordinance on the Use of AI in Policy' to continuously refine the utilization until legal adjustments are made. Currently, implementing these two strategies is deemed necessary. Consequently, employing massive language and information models like ChatGPT in the public design field, which harbors a vast amount of language, holds substantial value.

  • 부모의 사회 활동 시간이 늘어남에 따라 아이들이 혼자 집에서 보내는 시간도 늘어나고 있다. 따라서 아이들의 자립심을 크게 제한하지 않으면서 노출되기 쉬운 실내 위험으로부터 아이들을 보호하고 아이의 심리, 감정적 상태에 따라 적절한 지도를 해주는 도움이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 RFID 기술을 기반으로 아이들을 물리적 위험으로부터 보호하고 자연언어처리 기술을 이용하여 아이의 심리, 감정 상태에 따른 음악과 애니메이션의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 제공한다. 또한 지속적인 관심이 필요한 일정 관리, 일상 생활에서 도움을 주는 전자제품 사용법 안내 등의 정보를 제공하여 아이 스스로 자신의 일을 할 수 있도록 도움을 준다. 본 연구에서는 가상의 가정을 디자인하여 실현 가능한 시나리오를 중심으로 이와 같은 서비스를 시뮬레이션 한 결과를 보인다.

  • 기술개발자 혹은 기술공급자의 예측에만 의존하는 기술의 가치 추정은 과대평가 또는 과소평가될 우려가 있으며, 정확한 기술가치평가를 위해서는 공급측면에서의 분석과 함께 수요측면에서의 가치평가가 요구된다. 이러한 맥락에서 기술을 사용하게 될 잠재적 수요처를 파악할 필요가 있다. 또한 기술의 잠재적 수요처 파악을 통해 기술개발자들은 수요산업에 보다 적합한 제품을 개발하여 기술 가치를 극대화시킬 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 본 연구에서는 과학기술부가 시행하는 21C 프론티어 사업의 2단계 주요사업으로 선정된 수자원의 지속적 확보기술개발 사업에서 개발 중인 기술의 수요처 선정을 위한 준비 단계로써 공급지장비용 분석을 포함한 산업연관분석을 사용하여 수자원의 확보 또는 공급지장에 따른 산업부문별 파급효과를 산출하였다. 파급효과의 산업부문별 순위는 용수의 재분배 우선순위의 주요한 참고자료가 될 수 있으나, 공공재인 수자원의 특성과 산업의 특성에 따른 현실적인 제약조건들을 고려해볼 때 직접적으로 기술의 수요처라고 보기는 어렵다. 하지만 파급효과의 순위에 따라 기술의 수요가 발생했을 때 기술의 최대가치가 실현됨은 자명한 사실이며, 개별기술에 대한 사례연구 시에 수요산업의 대략적인 틀을 제시해 줄 수 있을 것이다. 또한, 기술개발자들이 수요처에 대한 인식을 보다 명확히 함으로써, 정부와 산업체를 통해 실용화될 수 있도록 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 연구결과 산업연관분석을 통해 수도산업의 수요측면 공급측면 파급효과가 산출되었고, 수도의 공급지장으로 인한 파급효과의 순위는 농림수산품 음식료품 제1차금속제품 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 개별기술의 달성가능한 최대가치가 산출되고, 개별기술의 사례연구 시에 설문대상 산업이 선정되어 수자원의 지속적 확보기술의 수요처 선정을 위한 토대가 마련될 것으로 기대한다. 수 있었다. 인공순환에 의한 저감효과가 크지는 않을 것으로 예측된다. 조사 기간중 H호의 현존 식물플랑크톤량의 $60%{\sim}87%$가 수심 10m 이내에 분포하였고, 녹조강과 남조강이 우점하는 하절기에는 5m 이내에 주로 분포하였다. 취수탑 지점의 수심이 연중 $25{\sim}35m$를 유지하는 H호의 경우 간헐식 폭기장치를 가동하는 기간은 물론 그 외 기간에도 취수구의 심도를 표층 10m 이하로 유지 할 경우 전체 조류 유입량을 60% 이상 저감할 수 있을 것으로 조사되었다.심볼 및 색채 디자인 등의 작업이 수반되어야 하며, 이들을 고려한 인터넷용 GIS기본도를 신규 제작한다. 상습침수지구와 관련된 각종 GIS데이타와 각 기관이 보유하고 있는 공공정보 가운데 공간정보와 연계되어야 하는 자료를 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서는 단계별 구축전략이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 상습침수구역관련 정보를 검색, 처리 및 분석할 수 있는 상습침수 구역 종합정보화 시스템을 구축토록 하였다.N, 항목에서 보 상류가 높게 나타났으나, 철거되지 않은 검전보나 안양대교보에 비해 그 차이가 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다.의 기상변화가 자발성 기흉 발생에 영향을 미친다고 추론할 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구에서 추론된 기상변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을 발견하였다. 이상의 행태적 측면과 투자성과측면의 실증결과를 통하여 한국주식시장에 있어서 시장수익률을 평균적으로 초과할 수 있는 거래전략은 존재하므로 이러한 전략을 개발 및 활용할
