A Revenue Allocation Model for the Integrated Urban Rail System in the Seoul Metropolitan (수도권 도시철도 수입금 정산 분석모형)

  • Seoul metropolitan public transport reform results in the introduction of the semi-public operation and distance-based fare policies. With implementation of these policies, public transport revenue allocation has been (will be) evolved very complicated because the existing revenue allocation issues have not only been clearly solved, which is generated by the combined relationship among Korea Railroad Corporation (KRC). Seoul Metropolitan Subway Corporation (SMSC). Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation (SMRTC), and Incheon Rapid Transit Corporation (IRTC), but also the revenue allocation problem between bus and urban railroad-related organizations need to be considered in this combined framework. On top of that. based on the future plans such as the private sector's railroad construction plan(s), the light rail transit construction plans of several local governments and the join of remained bus lines of Seoul metropolitan areas, it is understood that the revenue allocation among public transport operating organization will become one of main issues of operation organization as well as local and central governments. As a basic approach for revenue allocation of public transport operation organizations, the purpose of this paper is to propose an integrated model applicable to estimate degree of service contribution in passenger carriage in the combined public transport network. With a hypothesis that the complete electronic card system is deployed, this paper supposes every passenger's loading and alighting stations is recordable. Thereby, this paper limits research scope as to Seoul metropolitan railroad area since used route(s) between origin and destination stations can not be traceded because transfer stations each passenger path through is not recorded. Each model proposed in the paper is as follows: 1. a generalized cost reflecting passenger's transfer behavior; 2.a K path model for determining similar routes between O-D; 3.an assignment model for loading O-D trips onto the detected similar routes using Logit Model.

  • Paris Agreement of Climate Change seem affect to Korea eco-policy. Meanwhile the eco-design for reduce carbon emission have been applied in design phase of construction. However eco-design have applied passively except the project of eco-building system. For reflect eco-component in design, design VE that be appling to basic design and executing design phase of all construction project of over 10 billion should be use. But present applying VE Job Plan is reflecting partly eco-component, so the effect is small. Therefor new eco-VE development that reflect eco-elements to exist VE need. As the result of this study, the concept of environmental cost is defined to accounting. The calculation of the cost was using methods that apply $CO_2$ emission trading price, WTP, carbon productivity concept and carbon tax based on $CO_2$ emission. However, in order to apply eco-friendly VE at design phase, the model of new concept included carbon productivity concept is necessary. The eco-friendly VE model of new concept is model using $CO_2$ emission and potential environmental pollution index (PEPI). This study tried define eco-value model and environmental cost definition that become the major axle of eco-VE.

The Difference in the Latitude of Price Acceptance between On- and Off-line transaction in Stock Industry (증권업의 온라인과 오프라인간 가격수용범위 (latitude of price acceptance) 차이에 관한 연구)

  • Although the factors that affect the width of latitude of price acceptance is well documented, the attempt to develop a practice-oriented methodology to calibrate the region of price insensitivity (i.e., a latitude of price acceptance) for a given individual brand has been relatively rare. The researcher aims to try to full this gap by developing a conjoint analysis-based procedure that can be applied to many industries. Furthermore, we examine the difference in the latitude of price acceptance between on- and off-line transaction in stock industry in Korea. The conjoint analysis-based procedure was applied to measure the disaggregate price response curve for individual stock investment both on- and off line transaction channel. The curves from the samples enable us to estimate the individual choice probabilities corresponding to applied price points. Using t-test the differences in mean choice probabilities between the list price and another price point were tested, through which we can get the latitude of price acceptance for a given brand in stock market. These procedures were tested in on- and off-line stock market in South Korea. The results showed that investors on off-line channel have wider latitudes of price acceptance than the investors on on-line transaction system.

  • Many studies on port tariff have been done over twenty years using publicly assessed data on tariff. Public data for tariff rates do not reflect, however, the port tariff in a real market, since the cargo handling charge, which is the important fraction of port tariff, is confidentially decided by the negotiations between a shipping company and a container terminal operator. In this paper, we collected the real price data of the port tariff on the world major sixteen container ports from a global shipping company and transformed it into the tariff per TEU(US$/TEU). The comparative analysis of port tariff was performed using the port tariff per TEU, and a panel regression analysis was done to identify the relations between the port tariff and demand variables: throughput, GDP and trade amount.

A Study on the Relevance between Debt-ratio Characteristics and Investment Activity in the Korean Shipping Firms (우리나라 해운물류기업의 부채특성과 기업투자활동과의 관계에 관한 연구)

  • This paper explores the relationship between shipping firm's investment and debt-ratio characteristics. Using a panel of 41 shipping firms from 2006 to 2011, this study finds evidence that debt/asset ratio and leverage are negatively associated with firm's investment activities. This relationship shows that volume of debt and capital structure are critical decision factor on firm's investment and capital financing. In terms of financial expenses to sales, positive relationship is existed with firm's investment finding that financing cost is important to investment. The previous study of the firm's investment in other sector also shows a negative relationship with debit ratio. This study is also interested in the extent to which the firm's investment is affected by firm size because there is general agreement that smaller firms have less access to external capital markets. As results, smaller companies group have more positive relationship with factors related to financing cost such as financial expenses to sales and tax. On the other hand, bigger companies group shows the evidence that firm investment is positive relationship with asset size. The analysis corresponding to economic fluctuation shows that debit ratio is more sensitive to firm's investment during a recession. On the other hand, financial expenses to sales is more related to firm's investment during an economic boom.

Estimation of VMS Traffic Information Value Using Contingent Valuation Method (조건부 가치측정법을 활용한 VMS 교통정보 가치 추정)

  • In this study, value of VMS (Variable Message Sign) traffic information is estimated by using CVM (Contingent Valuation Method), which is developed to quantify the value of non-marketable goods in environmental economics. CVM is used to estimate the value of goods provided by a project under consideration and then the project feasibility can be indirectly examined on the basis of the estimated value. This study focuses on estimating to estimate value of traffic information provided through VMS, a part of the transportation system enhancement project by Korea Expressway Corporation which is aimed at mitigating traffic problems on expressways. In particular, this study analyzes value of information separately by trip purpose, information type, and traffic flow condition. A state preference survey was designed to estimate the value of non-marketable traffic information. To maximize reliability of the survey results, a pilot survey was taken before the main survey. The open-ended question method was adopted in capturing users' willingness-to-pay. Both Tobit and binary Probit models were applied in estimating the value of VMS traffic information and their parameters were estimated using the maximum likelihood estimation. The estimation results suggests that the value of traffic information perceived by users is 518.28 KRW.

  • 최근 온라인 게임 시장이 급속하게 성장하고 있다. 온라인 게임은 컴퓨터 게임의 장르 중에 상당히 큰 비중을 차지하고 있으며, 많은 사용자들은 온라인 게임을 매일 즐기고 있다. 온라인 게임 시장이 커지면서, 온라인 게임 아이템의 거래 시장 역시 성장하고 있으며, 온라인 게임 아이템은 게임 안에서 거래가 이루어질 뿐만 아니라 게임 밖에서도 실제 화폐를 통해 거래되고 있다. 게임 아이템에 대한 경매 사이트가 국내뿐만 아니라 외국에도 존재하여 활발히 거래가 이루어 지고 있으며, 2004년에는 게임 아이템의 구매를 위해서 최대 8억 8000만 달러에 이르는 실제 화폐가 지불될 정도로 게임 아이템의 거래 시장은 거대하다. 이렇게 규모가 커진 게임 아이템 거래 시장은 학술적으로, 실용적으로 많은 중요성을 갖는다. 그러나 온라인 게임 아이템 거래에 대한 실증적인 연구는 많지 않다. 몇몇 온라인 게임 아이템 거래에 대한 연구는 게임 아이템의 권리를 중심으로 연구가 되었으며, 게임에 대한 많은 연구는 게임 아이템보다는 몬스터와 싸우는 것이나 게임 캐릭터를 만드는 것과 같은 게임 플레잉 설계에 집중하고 있다. 또한 전자 상거래 분야에서는 사용자들이 거래를 통해 최대한의 이윤을 얻기 위할 것이라는, 즉 외적 동기를 가지고 있을 것이라는 가정을 바탕으로 거래의 효율성과 거래 비용에 초점을 맞추어 연구가 진행되었다. 그러나 온라인 게임 아이템은 실용적인 성격뿐만 아니라 유희적 성격을 가지고 있기 때문에 온라인 게임 아이템 거래에서 사용자는 외적 동기뿐만 아니라 내적 동기도 함께 가지게 된다. 본 연구는 거래 비용이론과 몰입, 그리고 재미와 관련된 이론을 바탕으로, 온라인 게임 아이템의 거래 방식이 사용자의 지각된 재미와 사용자가 느끼는 거래비용에 미치는 영향을 실험 방법론을 통해 실증적으로 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 거래에서 내적 동기를 가진 사용자는 게임 아이템 거래 의도에 지각된 재미가 거래 비용에 비해 더 많은 영향을 미쳤으며, 외적 동기를 가진 사용자는 게임 아이템 거래 의도에 지각된 거래비용이 지각된 재미에 비해 더 많은 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구의 결과는 과거 대부분의 관련 연구가 거래 방법의 유용성만을 강조해왔던 것과는 달리, 거래 자체의 재미와 즐거움, 그리고 거래에 대한 몰입 등의 감성적 측면을 고려함으로써 거래 비용 이론을 확장했다는 데 이론적 의의가 있을 것이다. 또한 실용적 측면에서 게임 아이템 거래 방식을 어떻게 설정해야 사용자들에게 유용성과 더불어 재미를 제공해 줄 수 있는지에 대한 실질적인 가이드라인을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

In this study, proactively manage the failure history of a highway facility ITS tries to preventive maintenance. Therefore, the error history is based on the reliability of the high-pass facilities theory to calculate the reliability of the system through a systematic statistical analysis Operational Availability. The fault number and the time the replacement period through the estimate decreases and can reduce the budget expenses by securing the spare parts quantity, establish a management plan in part by improving the quality of the system through constant preventive maintenance, quality of service at all times It may direct the non-stop operation state of the available state.

  • Recently, resettlement problems of low income groups in the urban regeneration area have been issued in Korea because they have no capability to purchase (or lease) redeveloped housing (or apartment). There are several approaches for supplying affordable housing and one of these is the bidding system which can reduce construction cost. However, the lowest bidding system has many problems such as dumping and substandard quality. In this context, this study proposed bidding system based on technical proposal applying the concept of the lowest total combined bid price for optimization of bid price, reduction of construction cost and period, and maintenance of suitable quality. This bidding system embraces the best value and cost plus time concept on the basis of an improved lowest price bidding system. It consists of the following components: work unit based, project unit based, and period reducing technical proposals. The proposed bidding system for determining bidders are designed to evaluate the adequacy of each technical proposal in the order of the combined minimum price in an effort to effectively optimize bid prices and reduce the construction periods, as well as to maintain a minimum appropriate quality.

단말기에서의 SDR 기술

  • 안테나 단에서 직접 수신 신호의 디지털화가 이루어지고 그 해당 신호의 처리는 고속 디지털 신호처리기 내에서 소프트웨어로 수행되는 방식을 SWR(Software Radio)이라 한다. 그러나 현재의 기술 수준을 감안하여 보다 현실적인 SDR(Software Defined Radio) 정의가 필요하게 되었다. SDR이란 수신신호의 디지털화가 안테나 이하의 임의의 단(IF단)에서 이루어지는 무선으로 정의된다. 물론 A/D변환기등의 기술이 더욱 발전되면 궁극적으로는 SWR로 진화될 것이다. 그러면 SDR은 왜 필요한 것일까? 현재 사용중인 이동통신 단말기의 단점은 어느 한 표준 또는 방식에 종속되어 언제 어디서나 임의의 시스템에 접속되어 사용하기에는 많은 기술 종속적인 문제 및 제약을 내포하며, 사용방식에 따른 시스템의 유연성이 없고, 상용 서비스 도중에 발생되는 단말기 문제의 해결(recall service)이 어렵고, 많은 기술료를 지불해야 한다는 것이다. 부연하면 CDMA 셀룰라의 경우 퀄컴 등의 특정한 회사에 의해 기술이 폐쇠되어, 정보의 흐름이 자유스럽지 못할 뿐더러, 이로 인해 기술진화가 보다 빠르게 진행되지 못하고, 전세계적으로 많은 새로운 우수 제품의 출연에 제약이 가해진다는 것이다. 따라서 SDR(Software Defined Radion)을 도입, 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어를 개방형 구조(open architecture)로 개발한다면 정보의 흐름을 자유롭게 할 수 있고, 이로 인하여 세계적으로 다양한 신제품의 개발이 촉진되고 결과적으로 전세계 시장이 커지게 되는 일석이조의 효과를 얻을 수 있게 된다. 또한 이 같은 개방형 단말기 개발의 필요성은 최근 시장동향으로 볼 때, 기존의 단말기 회사 입장에서는 새로운 수익 모델이 필요한 시점이고, 또한 2002년경에 판매되는 단말기의 80%정도는 멀티모드타입 단말기일 것으로 예측되는 점, 그리고 금년말까지 100개 회사 이상이 SDR 포럼 멤버로 가입할 것으로 예측되는 점, 무선 인터넷 폭발적인 성장으로 복합 멀티미디어 단말기 시대가 다가오는 점 등으로 미루어 볼 때, 고객의 서비스 가치선택에 역점을 둔 기술을 중시해야 한다는 점에서 더욱 설득력을 지닌다. 따라서 이 같은 목적과 3세대 이동통신 및 인터넷 사용자의 증가, 반도체기술의 발전에 힘입어, 과거 군용 시스템에서 이용되던 SWR 기술을 상용시스템 특히 3세대 이동통신에 적용하려는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. '96년 SDR 포럼이 결성되었는데, 목적은 휴대형 장치(hand-held devices), 기지국(base stations), 차량형 장치(mobile stations)를 포함하는 다중모드(multi-mode), 다중대역(multi-band) SDR을 위한 개방형 구조의 표준을 정하기 위함이다. 이 같이 public forum에 의한 표준(open architecture standard)이 정해지면 그 다음은 이를 어떻게 구현할 것인가가 문제가 될 것이다. 본고에서는 먼저 SDR 단말기 요구사항을 살펴보고, 이 요구사항들을 만족하는 SDR 단말기 구조, SDR 계층참조 모델, 그리고 기존의 단말기 구조와 SDR 계층참조 모델의 연관관계에 대해 살펴보고, 크게 두가지 종류의 단말기 즉 사용 SDR 단말기와 군용 SDR 단말기에 대해 살펴보고, 설계 절차 및 현재 시점에서 단말기 구현을 위해 해결해야 하는 기술적 과제를 살펴보고 결론을 언급한다.
