In the framework of competitive electricity market, the Market Power due to the transmission congestion, lack of demand-side response, various uncertain factors etc. have been significant problem. This paper reviews the market rules of Korea power system and the uplift scheme for constrained on/off generators. Then, this paper points out several problems and the mitigation measures of local market power concerning the compensation for constrained-off generators.

Transmission congestion is one of the key factors to local market power in competitive electricity markets. This paper presents an alternative methodology in estimating market power under transmission congestion. The proposed methodology was demonstrated with the Optimal Power Flow(OPF).

현재 네트워크 장비 관련 시장에서는 기술력과 가격대 성능비와 같은 객관적인 평가 기준에 의한 공정경쟁이 시장을 지배하게 되었다. 즉, 독립성과 신뢰성을 가지고 있는 사설 시험소들의 시험 결과와 인증 마크가 네트워크 장비 구매자들의 구매 기준으로 적용되기에 이른 것이다. 이에 본 고에서는 우리나라에서 시행 중인 네트워크 장비 시험인증 기관의 체제에 대해 고찰하여, 국내 시험 인증 기관의 시험인증 서비스에 대한 개선 사항을 제안하고자 한다.

In this study, the method of computing and extracting the generalized unsteady aerodynamic matrices using MSC/NASTRAN and MSC/NASTRAN DMAP ALTER has been suggested for the analysis and control of aeroelastic phenomena such as flutter and gust response analysis. In addition to that, the method of approximating the generalized unsteady aerodynamic matrices using minimum state approximation method has been proposed in order to cast the aeroelastic equations of motion in state space form for aeroelastic analysis and control application. Simplified aircraft wing box model has been used for the validation of the methods suggested in this study.

This paper deals with the reliability analysis of foundation for an offshore wind turbine system. Reliability analyses were carried out for suction bucket foundation considering the uncertainties in soil and structural parameters. In reliability analysis, the vertical and lateral resistances are defined as base limit states. The case studies were carried out using the preliminarily designed foundations at western-south mainland sea of Korea. From reliability analyses, vertical resistance for free-slip condition has overall lower reliability index, and submerged unit weight and internal friction angle of seabed soil are governing factors in vertical and lateral resistance in this case.

Despite many discussions on the metaverse, there has been little concrete evidence and predictions about how firms use the metaverse, what determines firm competitiveness, and who will lead the industry. This paper attempts to answer these questions by conducting and examining a custom-designed survey of employees serving in the metaverse business. The survey results indicate that firms do not have strategic models for metaverse business yet, but they will become more affordable and widely used in the next three to five years. It is expected that many firms would coexist in the contents area, while the influence of global companies and large domestic companies with market dominance will be significant in the platform and software area.

In the present study, more systematic laboratory model tests under various conditions are carried out to investigate load-sharing characteristics among the granular pile and adjacent soils and bearing capacity characteristics with different pile lengths. Further to evaluate effects of both a loading area and a spacing of pile installation on the bearing capacity and bearing capacity characteristics of each pile in group, model test results are also analyzed for the purpose of an efficient design of granular compaction piles. From the analysis of the model test results, it is found that the ultimate capacity of granular compaction group piles increases with a decrease in the installation distance among granular piles. It is also found that the dominant failure mode of the granular compaction piles is bulging failure. It is further realized that the length of a granular pile could not significantly affect on the ultimate granular pile capacity.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of happiness of early childhood teachers on ego resilience and job engagement. The study subjects were 243 teachers who were working in early childhood education institutes located in K and D area. The collected data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 Program. The study results are as follows. First, it was identified that the level of happiness, ego resilience, and job engagement of early childhood teachers were high. Secondly, happiness, ego resilience, and job engagement of early childhood teachers had a statistically significant correlation. Thirdly, the explanation power of happiness for ego resilience was 18% and self-acceptance, a subfactor of ego resilience, had an effect. Also, the explanation power of happiness for job engagement of early childhood teacher was vitality of 23%, and it was found to affect the subfactors of vitality of job engagement in the order of self-acceptance, positive personal relationship, and control over the environment. Also, the explanation power of happiness factors for undivided attention of early childhood teacher was 17%, and self-acceptance and positive personal relationship had a significantly positive effect on the undivided attention of teachers. Lastly, the explanation power of happiness factors for absorption of early childhood teacher was 14%, and self-acceptance among happiness factors of teachers had a significantly positive effect on the undivided attention of teachers. These study results suggest that the quality of early childhood education and happiness should be improved for the early childhood teachers and this may be a positive factor for the improvement of ego resilience and job engagement.

Since the late 1990s Vinacafe has gone through strategic changes in corporate governance and managements due to an increase in the introduction of coffee MNCs, a growth of global demands in sustainable coffee, aging coffee tree, and the deterioration of coffee production with climate changes in Vietnam. Vinacafe has attempted to cope with these kinds of changes through strategies for equitization. Therefore, the main aim of this paper is to identify strategies for enhancing the competitiveness of the Vietnamese coffee industry by investigating changes in corporate governance and processes of coffee production and distribution. The equitization of Vinacafe has led to the enhancement of coffee competitiveness in two perspectives. Firstly, as it has decentralized decision-making from headquarter, subsidiaries have become able to strength their competitiveness themselves by introducing new technologies, improving coffee quality, and encouraging the introduction of eco-friendly production methods through cooperative relationships with stakeholders involved in coffee production and distributions in Vietnam. Secondly, it has also enhanced competitiveness through the diversification and effectiveness of coffee managements by intensifying the flexibility of contract with coffee farmers and diversifying coffee sales and supply chains in Vietnam.
