Teaching Geometry Proof with focus on the Analysis (분석법을 중심으로 한 기하 증명 지도에 대한 연구)

  • In the study, I conducted the teaching experiment designed to instruct proof to four 7th grade students by utilizing the analysis method. As the results of this study I could identified that it is effective to teach and learn to find proof methods using the analysis. The results of the study showed that four 7th grade students succeeded in finding the proof methods by utilizing the analysis and representing the proof after 15 hours of the teaching experiment. In addition to the difficulties that students faced in learning proof utilizing the analysis were related to the search for the light conditions for triangles to be congruent, symbolic representation of the proof methods, reinterpretation of drawings given in the proof problems.

  • Malawi's agricultural extension system has been subjected to a number of criticisms in recent times for failing to contribute significantly to agricultural development and for not responding to the needs of the smallholder farmers. Despite this, extension is still seen as key to improving poverty and rural livelihoods.There is a number of challenges facing extension that require a response from the public sector and other stakeholders. A clear and positive response to these challenges will help shape the future of agricultural extension in Malawi for the benefit of all farmers and the attainment of the broad policy objectives of government: democratization, market liberalization, decentralization, HIV/AIDS crisis, shrinking public sector resources, public sector reform, and co-ordination, etc. The mission is to provide pluralistic demand driven extensions services and promote equalisation and co-ordination in service provision in order to achieve food security at household level, there-by reducing poverty. On the other hand the vision is that 'All farmers' demand and access high quality extension services from those best able to provide them'. DAES implements its extension policy through the District Agricultural Extension Services System (DAESS), based on Model Village Approach.

Analysis of Misunderstood Types Relate to Trigonometric Function and Its Teaching Method (삼각함수에 관한 오류 유형 분석과 그 지도 방법)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze students misunderstood types relate to trigonometric function and to devise its teaching method using GSP. To do this, we performed several steps as followings: First, we performed questionnaire survey to 70 students belong to second year at high school to find students comprehension degree about radian angle representation and trigonometric function graph. Second, we devised the teaching-learning materials relate to trigonometric function graph using GSP. And then, we used them in the class of 35 students who are at the time to learn trigonometric function in the first year at high school. Third, we conducted Questionnaire survey to students studied through teaching and learning materials using GSP. As a result of doing the survey, we found that general students were interested in the class using GSP and they could also operate computer without difficulty.

Novice Elementary Teachers' Knowledge of Students' Errors on Plane Figures (평면도형에 관한 학생들의 오류에 대한 초임 초등 교사들의 교수학적 내용 지식 분석)

  • This paper examined eight novice elementary teachers' knowledge in terms of the types and sources of students' errors and teaching strategies on plane figures through a questionnaire and teachers' discussion. The teachers tended to predict students' diverse error types, but they attributed the sources of such errors mainly to their characteristics. The analysis of teachers' responses of teaching strategies revealed that they recognized the importance of the teacher's clear explanation and students' own problem-solving, while they were somewhat negative in presenting diverse examples and classifying, drawing, or constructing figures. Building on these results, this paper provides the implications for novice teachers' professional development programs.

  • The algorithm of natural number multiplication is one of the basic topics of elementary school mathematics. Mastery of algorithm and understanding of the principles are important educational aims. In this paper we analyzed elementary school mathematics textbooks of South Korea, the United States, Singapore, Japan. As a result of analysis, we found out that there are much differences in the teaching of multiplication with three numbers, '${\times}10$', and '${\times}tens$'. We suggested some implication for the teaching of algorithm of natural number multiplication.

Analysis of Errors in Prediction Results of Ray Tracing Propagation Model for Microcellular Environments (마이크로셀 전파 환경에서 광선 추적법에 의한 예측 결과의 오차에 관한 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyze various errors in prediction results of ray tracing propagation model for microcellular environments. It is shown that improper electrical parameters of building materials and limitations of diffraction orders can cause high errors in prediction results. Especially, the effect of errors in building database on prediction results is considered in detail. It is also shown that the prediction error increases as the resolution of building map data is getting worse, and the error is analyzed depending on LOS and NLOS domains. Based on the results obtained by the analysis developed in this paper, 5 m resolution is suitable for the building map data if the maximum prediction error is required to be below 6 dB.

  • 우리나라는 국토면적의 약 64%가 산지로 이루어져 있으며 동고서저의 지형을 이루고 있다. 강원도 영동지방의 경우는 고도가 높으며 경사가 급한 특징을 지니고 있으며 이러한 지형적 특징으로 태풍 및 집중호우 시, 산지재해에 취약할 수밖에 없다. 더욱이 최근, 기후변화로 인한 이상기후 현상에 의해 태풍 및 집중호우가 빈번해 산지재해의 발생빈도도 높아지고 있는 실정이다. 그에 따라 대규모의 인적, 물적 등의 피해 또한 증가하고 있다. 산지재해 같은 경우, 예측이 어려우나 그러한 피해를 줄이기 위해서는 산지재해의 발생예상 지역, 피해정도 및 규모에 대한 예측 자료가 필요하다. 재해지도는 그에 따른 예측 자료로써 대상 지역의 위험요인과 잠재적인 영향 등을 표시하여 재해를 예방하는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 이러한 재해지도를 작성하기 위해 사용되는 기법으로는 정량적 기법의 대표적인 방법으로 결정론적 기법(SHALATAB, SINMAP, GEOtop-FS), 확률론적 기법(빈도비분석법, 우도비, 증거가중법 등), 통계적 기법(로지스틱 회귀분석, 인공신경망 기법)을 사용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 정량적 기법 중 하나인 결정론적 기법을 활용하여 위험지역을 분석하고 실제 위험지역과 비교하였다. 추후에 확률론적 기법과 통계적인 기법을 활용하여 위험지역을 분석하고자 한다.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of memory retention of mathematical concepts in multiplication in the inquiry-based pantomime instructions. Three months later after the pre-test, a comparison was made between traditional class (TC) and class with the inquiry-based pantomime (IP) approach in terms of students retention of mathematical understandings. Results of the study indicated that the If instructions promoted effective long-term retention of knowledge. We concluded that instructional strategies that promoted active engagement in learning using life examples and drawings produced effective long-term retention of knowledge.
