A study on the three dimensional paper doll development with augmented reality technology (증강현실기술이 적용된 3D 인형놀이 개발에 대한 연구)

  • The AR(Augmented Reality) is the technique that make the fusion between real world and virtual object. The augmented object on real world can provide the visualization of digital information to user. Also, the real-time AR system makes the interaction between user and computers. Therefore, the immersion of user be increasing and help the information transfer to user with AR system. In this paper, we implement the AR system with the modeled VRML as a three-dimensional object using programming language. The application technique is proposed that augment the various virtual clothes to three-dimensional avatar. Moreover, we propose the novel interface by using marker that can be increase the immersion of user.

  • 컴퓨터 그래픽스 및 관련 연구 분야는 지난 30년간 눈부신 발전을 거듭해왔다. 모델링, 렌더링, 애니메이션 등 시각적 표현력을 확보하는 것을 목표로 출발한 컴퓨터 그래픽스 연구는 점차 그 범위를 확대해서 영상처리, 자연현상 시뮬레이션, 가상현실, 의료 영상, 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용, 실시간 시뮬레이션, 영화 특수 효과 등 다양한 연구 및 응용분야를 파생 시키며 점차 복잡한 지형도를 그려가고 있다. 이 글은 전체 2편의 연속 논문 중에서 2부에 해당하며, 컴퓨터 그래픽스의 응용 분야 중에서 국내 연구가 활발한 옷 시뮬레이션, 비사실적 렌더링, 음향 시뮬레이션, 가상현실, 증강현실의 최근 연구 동향을 분석하고 정리한다.

  • 증강현실 환경에서 현실 세계의 물체를 포착하여 디지털화 시키는 것은 몰입감 향상에 있어 매우 중요한 기술이다. Faster R - CNN 은 영상에서 여러 물체를 인식하는 기술 중 하나이며, 지금껏 많은 응용 기술의 개발과 함께 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 증강현실 환경에서 평면물체의 2D 변환관계를 설명하는 Homography 와 Faster R - CNN 을 활용하여 여러 개의 비콘에 대한 6 자유도(6DOF) 를 추정하는 방법을 제안한다. 또한 증강현실에서 주로 사용되는 마커 기술에 존재하는 단점들을 극복할 수 있는 비콘 구조를 소개하고 여러 개의 비콘을 용이하게 관리하는 시스템을 제안한다.

  • In this paper, we propose mobile Augmented Reality(AR) for smart learning system which is advanced e-learning. AR is technology that seamlessly overlays computer graphics on the real world. AR has become widely available because of mobile AR. Mobile AR is possible to get information from real world anytime, anywhere. Nowadays, there are various areas using AR such as entertainment, marketing, location-based AR. One of the most promising areas is education. AR in education shows lifelike images to users for realism. It's a good way for improving concentration and attention. We utilize only a camera for image-based AR without other sensor.

  • The present study is a basic study for application of Augmented Reality (AR) to verb teaching for children with language developmental disorders and is intended to examine validity for the list of verbs at the beginning of development. To confirm the validity of the verbs list, the appropriateness of the verbs was evaluated by three professors with certification of KSLP (Korean Speech-Language Pathologist) working in the department of Speech-Language Pathology at the university. The motion validity test was conducted by showing motion implemented as AR to eight master's students in Speech-Language Pathology major, having them record verbs that came to their mind, and evaluating in the conformity. The second motion validity test was conducted by using 5-point Likert scales to 87 undergraduates in Speech-Language Pathology major and having them see the motions in AR and marked the degrees to which them see the motions conform to the relevant verbs on the scales. Using the SPSS 21.0 program, descriptive statics analyses of the results were conducted. Through this all process, thirty verbs were selected as having content validity. It could be seen that when AR based communication system are applied, things and backgrounds that complement the insufficient movements of motions and help motion recognition should be also provided. In future studies, the 3D images of the AR based communication system will be complemented and the content validity will be verified with typically developing children and the children with language developmental disorders.

  • Education tools expressed in texts and images turned into the edutainment such as a education and playing experience. Augmented reality(AR) technology in the field of edutainment was possible to have an amused-education by maximizing experiences. Recently, it is also served in a variety of mobile applications which exploit AR technology. The paper is to describe on the practical measures for the experience of education through designing and implementing edutainment contents. The implementation makes use of a engine 'Vuforia', and a platform 'Unity 3D'.

  • 본 논문에서는 대화형 증강 현실을 위한 간단하고 유용한 방법을 제안한다. 대화형 증강 현실을 구현하기 위한 가장 일반적인 방법은 ARToolkit 라이브러리를 사용하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 ARToolkit 라이브러리의 기능을 그대로 사용하지만 ARToolkit 라이브러리에서 사용하는 그래픽 마커를 라이브 마커로 대체한다. 따라서, 그래픽 마커를 사용할 때보다 직관적이면서도 편리한 사용자 인터페이스를 제공해 줄 수 있다. 단, 라이브 마커를 사용하기 때문에 ARToolkit 라이브러리의 마커인식(Identification)을 위한 패턴 매칭 기술은 사용될 수 없으므로, 보다 정교한 객체 인식(object recognition) 기술이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 원근 변환(perspective transformation)에 불변한 특성을 가지는 ART 기술자(Angular Radial Transform descriptor)를 사용한다. ART 기술자에 대한 간단한 성능 검증을 통해 라이브 마커에 적용 가능성을 확인하였고, 다양한 실험을 통해 라이브 마커의 효용성을 확인하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 라이브 마커는 기존의 ARToolkit 사용자들에게 발전된 인터페이스 개념을 제공함으로써, 다양한 증강 현실의 구현에 응용될 수 있으리라 기대된다.

  • The applications of augmented reality technology is increasing in the several field by IT convergence and we find augmented reality application easily in the smart device application area. And then, to attempt to use augmented reality technology in advantage, exhibitions and performances was activated. However, it less than other fields of augmented reality technology expertise yet. Among them services to Use in fusion with monitoring are lacking. In this paper, we proposed the augmented reality monitoring technology based on smart device. It is able to incorporate QR-code which is already building for the purpose of advertising promotional materials with augmented reality technology in many areas. Therefore, it is able to utilize unattended building or automation equipment facilities using QR-code and environmental monitoring sensor in the industry.

  • Virtual augmented reality technology is rapidly growing due to the development of hardware and software technology. The perspective on the application of industrial technology using this virtual augmented reality is at an early stage. Beginning with entertainment elements in Korea, there are many demands and demands in education, culture, tourism, sports, arts, medicine, disasters, and defense. In this paper, the study of the process of applying the process for the application of industrial virtual reality technology and augmented reality technology and the design of the technology according to the various operations necessary for the specific process are conducted. The study contains research results to provide services for training and actual process through virtual reality and augmented reality technology. This suggests that many industrial applications will be possible in the future.

  • In this study, we propose an annotation system exhibits a secondary role using augmented reality in the exhibition environment. Common methods that utilize the description of the picture or photo booklet or audio device to the exhibition and in the form of viewing the exhibits while people describe method is used. We are using augmented reality technology, in addition to these conventional methods to provide a variety of information about the exhibits utilizing text, photos, video and audio of the multimedia medium. Where visitors can use a smart phone in hand deulgoseo, the exhibition becomes a secondary role by applying the Augmented Reality technology in tablet-based devices.
