The purpose of this study is to explore how a mathematics teacher's beliefs about mathematics and teaching and learning and mathematics and how such beliefs are related to her knowledge manifested in her mathematics instruction. The study illustrates images of teaching practice of an American mathematics teacher in middle grades mathematics classrooms. Results suggest that the teacher seems consistent in teaching in terms of her beliefs about mathematics and learning and teaching mathematics in some degrees. In particular, the teacher's beliefs affected the ways in which mathematics teacher organized and structured her lessons.

초등학교 정보통신기술교육은 정보 사회를 살아가는 학생들에게 학습과 일상 생활에서 필요한 최소한의 컴퓨터 활용 능력을 길러 중학교에서 보다 깊이 있게 다루어질 학습과제를 해결하기 위한 기초 기능을 다지는데 목표가 있다. 그런데 정보통신기술교육을 할 때, 여러 가지 요인으로 인하여 학생들의 개인별 ICT 활용능력 차이가 매우 크게 나타나 있는 실정이다. 따라서 기존의 전통적인 일제식 수업으로는 교수-학습을 하는데 많은 어려움이 있으므로 초등학생의 ICT 활용 능력과 개인차를 고려한 정보통신기술교육의 수준별 교육과정 모델을 개발하고, 개발된 교육과정을 수준별 수업모형에 적용하는 방안을 연구하였다.

The purpose of this review was to introduce and examine 'development' and 'relations' as the core concepts of Home Economics in 2015 revised middle school curriculum in Korea. The 2009 and 2015 proclamation of the ministry of education on home economics curriculum and 26 published middle school textbooks were reviewed. The major findings were as follows. First, the components of human 'development' and family 'relations' were strongly associated with promoting four key competencies (i.e. the self-management competency, the communication competency, the aesthetic sensibility competency, the community competency) of 2015 revision. Also, four of cross-curricular learning topics (i.e. character education, multicultural education, safety and health education, human right education) in 2015 revision could be effectively discussed with human 'development' and family 'relations'. Second, when teaching and learning of the core concept, human 'development', continuous dynamic aspects of life-span development, the connectedness of different domains of development, systematic approach of various concepts in development, specificity and empirical evidence of information and variability of developmental patterns in adolescence should be considered. Third, when teaching and learning of the core concept, family 'relations', family trait such as generational relations, gender relations, role relations and power relations should be taken into account. In addition, exclusively focusing on normal family ideology or image of middle-class family and lecture-centered instruction methods should be changed for students to achieve the competencies relevant to family relations. The future directions for applying core concepts, 'development' and 'relations' in classroom will be discussed.

In this study, the achievement standards of the "Construction and Operation of Infomation unit were established as the revision of the middle school Infomatice Curriculum in 2007. Based upon archievement standards, the assessment standards were made. And the exemplification was presented for it. The levels of the achievement unit were set in the small unit level through the understanding and the analysis of the new curriculum. The achievement standards were stated in the point of views of the students. The assessment standards divide students' achievement into three level(high/middle/low) and state each level so that it can guide evaluation of achievement. Considering the education environments, the time of the course, and the students' levels, the achievement and assessment standards can be reconstructed and would be used. Before the application of the revised Informatics curriculum, we intend for the understanding about new curriculum to be improved and for the informatics of educational activities to be advanced in quality.

최근 소프트웨어 교육이 중요해짐에 따라 학교 SW 교육이 강화되고 있다. 2017년부터는 초등학교, 2020년부터는 중학교에 소프트웨어교육이 필수화 될 예정이다. 그러나 현재 부족한 정보 교사의 수와, 열악한 실습실 환경을 갖는 학교가 많다. 그에 따라 본 논문에서는 학습자에 의해 시스템이 영향을 받지 않고, 다양한 언어를 제공하며, 실습 채점을 지원하는 프로그래밍 실습 시스템을 설계하였다.

The purpose of this study was to develop a reading instruction program which could help improve multiple intelligences related to personality, and then show its effectiveness. We conducted a survey of one junior high school in Chung-Nam province, consisting of 500 students in 18 classes to analyze what develops the three areas of multiple intelligences(intrapersonal intelligence, interpersonal intelligence and naturalist intelligence). We then want to proceed by developing reading instruction programs focusing on the growth of multiple intelligences.

Computational thinking has been a powerful key recently to open a new paradigm era in the curriculum of Informatics subject and the community of computer science education. But the quality and quantity of domestic research about it has been very poor in comparison with other countries. Therefore, this study focuses on the definition, learning steps and learning contexts about computational thinking education using some professional questionnaires and analyses of related other countries' literatures. The learning contexts that were extracted by several previous works could be used as the factor to analyze the curriculum of Informatics subject and textbooks in middle school; these could be helpful to teach the ability of computational thinking in middle school. Results of these questionnaires show that the three steps and 13 learning contexts of computational thinking education are properly well-formulated. The 5 of 13 learning contexts, such as data collection, are missing in 2009 revised-Informatics curriculum in middle school as well as the seven Informatics textbooks that used in middle school contained 10 of 13 learning contexts for computational thinking education.

정보 사회는 컴퓨터 과학이 실생활 뿐 아니라 모든 학문 분야의 기반이 되는 사회이다. 자원이 부족한 우리나라는 핵심 학문 분야의 인재 양성이 국가 경쟁력을 강화할 수 있는 원동력이 되기 때문에 컴퓨터 과학 분야의 인재를 양성하기 위한 정보 교육의 중요성이 더욱 커지고 있다. 이러한 일환으로 2015 개정 교육과정에서는 정보 교육을 필수화하였고 어떻게 가르칠 것인가에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 교과서는 학습자의 가장 기본적인 학습 도구가 되는 것으로 어떤 지식을 어떻게 가르칠 것인가를 포함하고 있기 때문에 그 구성은 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 과학을 인력 양성을 위한 중요한 학문으로 인식하고 정보 교육의 활성화를 추진하여 실천하고 있는 영국의 교과서를 분석하고 우리나라에 주는 시사점을 제시하였다.

21세기 들어 컴퓨터와 통신 기술의 급속한 발전과 정부의 보급 의지로 인하여 정보기기 및 통신 장비는 급속한 발전을 이루게 되었다. 이에 정부에서는 중ㆍ고등학교의 컴퓨터 교육을 강화하기 위한 방안으로 현재 고등학교에서 추진하고 있는 정보소양인증 제도를 중학교까지 확대 시행하고 학교 교육과정에서 적극 반영하도록 하여 중 고등학교에서 컴퓨터 교육을 필수적으로 실시하도록 유도하고 있으며 현재 시행되고 있는 제7차 교육 과정에서는 모든 교과의 수업에서 10% 이상에서 컴퓨터를 비롯한 정보통신기술 활용을 목표로 각 교과별 정보통신기술 활용 내용을 개발하여 교과서 편찬시 반영하도록 하여 이를 보급하려 하고 있다. 또한 2001년부터 컴퓨터 교육이 필수화됨에 따라 초등학교에서도 교사 교육 및 시설의 확충 등 체계적이고 지속적인 지원을 하기 위하여 노력하고 있다. 그러나 정보보호 측면에서 이들 교재를 분석하여 보면 그 내용과 구성이 너무나도 미흡하며 보강이 필요한 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 현 초등학교 교과서를 분석하여 담고 있는 내용과 이를 개선하기 위한 방법을 제시하였다.

2015 개정 교육과정에서는 미래 사회의 인재를 육성하기 위해 중학교에 정보 교과를 필수화하였다. 이를 지도할 정보·컴퓨터 교사를 확보하기 위해 비 정보과 교사를 대상으로 부전공연수를 실시하여 정보 교육을 할 수 있는 자격을 부여하고 있다. 이들은 일반 학습자와 다르게 교육학적 지식과 역량은 높으나, 내용 지식은 컴퓨터과학의 초보자 수준이다. 이러한 학습자의 특성을 고려하여 마이크로비트를 활용한 연수를 12차시 동안 진행하였고, 이는 비 정보과 교사의 프로그래밍 자아효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러나 본 연구는 단일집단에게 실험을 실시하였으므로 그 효과를 일반화하는 데 한계가 있다. 따라서 후속 연구에서는 비교 집단을 설정하는 실험 설계로 교육 효과를 검증할 필요가 있다.
