The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceptions of scientifically gifted middle school students about their engineering design process according to gender and talent division. The instrument in surveying their perceptions about the engineering design process consists of 24 items (Likert 5 point type) five domains: problem definition, information collection and utilization, idea generation, inquiry performance, and teamwork (communication, cooperation, leadership). A total of 102 scientifically gifted students participated in the survey, according to gender (69 males and 33 females) and talent divisions (physics, biological sciences, software, mathematics, space-geological sciences, and chemistry). They had a high level of awareness of their engineering design ability. It is necessary to develop a customized gifted-education program so that their talent in their field of interest can be fully displayed according to the gender and talent division. In addition, the teaching and learning methods and strategies of the engineering design program for the scientifically gifted middle school students should be established to fully reflect the practical needs of the talented.

The free learning semester system focuses on the activation of career education of middle school students as an educational policy that links career recognition in elementary school, career search in middle school, and career planning in high school. This system was fully implemented in 2016 and public libraries also provided various programs. This study analyzed the free learning semester system programs of public libraries in Busan city and demonstrated the contribution of local development. As a result, career and job search, career exploration and experience, and information literacy enhancement programs contributed to local knowledge culture, reading culture, learning culture, living culture and leisure culture. However, contribution of reading exhibitions, job experience, information literacy enhancement to the leisure culture and local economy were limited. Therefore, it is desirable that all libraries should add programs related to knowledge ecosystem structure, digital information gap, human healing, social environment issues, future job prospects, and provide information literacy programs.

There are making epoch changes of a teaching method and educational contents as information communication technology (ICT) introduced to school education. The 7th curriculum induces that teaching hours should be assigned to education using ICT more than 10% of all classroom work hours. In this study, we established basic course of courseware design for applying ICT to physical education effectively in the 7th curriculum. We developed distance-learning program for motion of short-distance race and the entire his power race in middle school using Web. Flash and Database. And we evaluated efficiency by students that are 4 classrooms (140 persons) after teaching using the WBI. According to results of questions and a test, the students expressed that education using ICT make understanding of instruction substance effectively. concentrating their attention on teaching and concerning in teaching actively.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relation among adolescents' school consumer education, cell phone consumption behavior and satisfaction with cell phone consumption life. Finally, this study aims to find right ways for leading to adolescents' reasonable consumption life and improving the school consumer education. A survey was conducted to the second grade students 430 of middle school residing in Seoul and the Capital area. As the result of examining the relation among school consumer education, consumption behavior, and consumption life satisfaction, the learning of 'information analysis and decision making process' has a positive effect on 'reasonable purchase and active problem-solving' behavior, and the learning of 'consumption culture' on 'active problem-solving and ethic use' behavior, the learning of 'problem-solving and rights and responsibilities' on 'ethic use' behavior. In addition, it shows that 'ethic usage behavior' in consumption behavior has a positive influence on 'relation satisfaction', and 'reasonable purchase' behavior and 'active problem-solving' behavior on 'practical usage satisfaction'.

In this paper, the necessity of independent operation of information curriculum was suggested by analyzing the changes and problems of elementary school information curriculum. Also, a plan was suggested to organize autonomous subjects for autonomous activities so that information education can be independently operated in elementary schools. Autonomous activity is an extension of the concept of creative experience activities, and refers to an educational activity time in which autonomous courses or various educational activities can be freely operated by reflecting the needs of students and parents or the characteristics of the school. It means a subject that you choose to run or do not have to choose. In the case of running an independent curriculum using the discretionary time of the principal, such as voluntary activities, the "safe life" of the 1st and 2nd graders in the 2015 elementary school curriculum and the 7th junior high school curriculum operate elective courses in subject discretionary activities. One can be found. Therefore, if information education in elementary schools can be organized and operated as autonomous subjects, at least students who want to learn artificial intelligence, coding, and big data will have an opportunity to learn in public education.

21세기는 정보화 사회로서 정보와 지식이 사회를 움직이는 원동력이며 국가 경쟁력의 기반이 되고 있다. 정부에서는 정보 통신 기술(ICT) 교육 지침을 정하여 2001학년도부터 초등학교, 중학교, 그리고 고등학교에서 정보 소양 교육과 각 교과별 교수 학습에 ICT기술을 10%이상 활용하도록 권장하고 있다. 따라서 일선학교에서는 이러한 정보 사회의 교육환경 변화와 요구에 부응하여 ICT활용 교육을 위한 교수 학습 지도안을 여러 가지 방법으로 작성하고 있으나 현재까지 web을 통한 학습지도안 작성은 매우 미흡한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 ICT활용 학습지도안을 시공간의 제약 없이 작성, 수정, 검색, 그리고 활용이 가능한 학습지도안 작성시스템을 web을 기반으로 설계하여 학습지도안의 공유 및 재활용 등을 용이하게 함으로써 지도안 작성시간을 대폭 줄일 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 학습지도안과 수업자료를 데이터베이스에 저장하여 데이터의 효율적인 관리와 검색이 가능하게 하였으며, 수업활동 종료 후 형성평가 문제의 출제 및 평가 결과가 계속 누적되어 앞으로의 개인별, 수준별 학습활동에 참고자료로 활용될 수 있도록 하였다. 학습자도 시공간의 제약 없이 학습지도안 검색이 가능하므로 학습자의 예습 복습을 용이하도록 하였다.

This study aims to examine how the subject-matter contents related to digital literacy are adopted in Informatics curriculum in middle school and draw implications by exploring and analyzing teaching cases based on how digital literacy education is put into practice in real Informatics classes. Especially the result showed that 13 items out of all 17 standards of Informatics curriculum in terms of achievement standards are directly related with digital literacy. Also, it confirmed the position of Informatics subject-matter as a core subject for digital literacy education by analyzing the related curriculum contents. Furthermore, the study investigated the aspects of digital literacy education's being applied and the possibilities of the digital literacy education which is implemented in diverse manners in Informatics subject-matter through the analysis of teaching cases. Finally, it identified the limitations and improvement directions revealed in the process.

We need problem solving abilities based on the information abilities in information-oriented society. New curriculum is demanded by new technology and circumstance to need the core competencies. Korea Association of Information Education has studied new curriculum and suggested new plans that contents of information education classified by 'Software', 'Computer System' and 'Convergence Activities.' Therefore, we studied on 'Problem Solving' topic of the 'Software' section of first grade to ninth grade. In this paper we firstly categorized 'Problem Solving' as 'Problem Comprehension and Analysis', 'Data Management', 'Strategy Establishment for Problem Solving', 'Problem Solving Method Seeking and Development' and 'Examination of Problem Solving Method.' We nextly suggested the achievement goals, teaching-learning methods and evaluation methods of 'Problem Solving' topic. We expect that the achievement goals and teaching-learning methods we suggested about 'Problem Solving' topic will contribute to training talented individuals.

The purpose of this study is to develop an effective teaching model for the "Problem solving methods and procedures" section in the revised academic high school informatics curriculum, verify its effectiveness, make the subject more effective and appealing to teachers as well as students. The model includes a middle school level informatics curriculum for the students who have yet to learn the section. This development follows the ADDIE model, and the Python programming language is adopted for the model. Using the model, classes were conducted with two groups: high school computer club students and undergraduate students majoring in computer education. Of the undergraduate students 75% responded positively to the model. This model was applied in the actual high school classroom teaching for 23 class-hours in the spring semester 2012. The Pearson correlation coefficient that verifies the correspondence between the PSI score and the informatics midterm exam grade is .247, which reflects a weak positive correlation. The result of the study showed that the developed teaching model is an effective tool in educating students about the "problem solving methods and procedures". The model is to be a cornerstone of teaching/learning plans for informatics at academic high school as well as training materials for pre-service teachers.

It is known that the smart education has a positive impact of critical thinking skills and problem solving, communication and collaboration, creativity and innovation in the 21st century. However, some people concern about the adverse effects of smart education such as smart devices addiction and health problems. In this study, we conducted the adverse effects of education using smart devices on students. The questionnaire survey was conducted and analyzed for students in 9 schools at A city(four elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools) that are receiving smart education. The types of adverse effects of smart education includes smartphone addiction, lack of information ethics, health problems, and lack of social and learning ability. We showed the differences each item compared among elementary school, middle school and high school about adverse effects of smart education. The result of survey didn't have any adverse affect of smart education such as internet addiction or smartphone addiction. However in order to protect the copyright, the school needs to fight against indiscriminated downloads and perform the information ethics education. Plus we surely need to be more open-minded in reading and exercise at school and home.
