Objective : The purpose of this study was to identify the risk factors for shoulder pain in manual wheelchair users with spinal cord injuries and to explore the correlation between shoulder pain and quality of life. Methods : Out of 182 participants initially included, 168 were selected for analysis. The questionnaire had 41 questions, with 15 on the Wheelchair User's Shoulder Pain Index (WUSPI) and 26 on the World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF). Results : It was found that participants' scored 50.75 in the WUSPI, whereas they scored higher in mobility and overhead activity. In addition, participants' WHOQOL-BREF scored 70.48, with a mean score of 2.71, which was lower than ordinary adults' WHOQOL-BREF (mean: 3.11) and that of older people suffering from chronic musculoskeletal system pain (total score: 77.92). Conclusion : The participants' WUSPI showed negative correlations with all items, including the total scores on the WHOQOL-BREF. This suggests that the participants' shoulder pain had a negative impact on their quality of life. Therefore, clinical experts, including occupational therapists, should provide manual wheelchair users with spinal cord injuries with programs aimed at preventing and managing shoulder pain, thereby contributing to improving their quality of life.
In study I, Domain-Specific Risk Taking Scale(DOSPERT) was translated into Korean and was validated that it had 6 factors structure and showed adequate reliability and validity, using the data had been collected from 438 participants. In study 2, two research problems were examined using the data had been collected from 497 participants who were different from study I. First, the mediation effect of sensation seeking and perceived benefit on the relationship between narcissism and risk-taking were examined. Using path analysis, it found that sensation seeking and perceived benefit mediated the relationship between NPI narcissism and risk-taking fully, and between PNI narcissism and risk-taking partially. Seceond, the moderate effect of contingencies of self-worth(CSW) on the relationship between perceived benefit-risk and risk-taking was examined. Using multi-group analysis, it found that virtue CSW moderated the relationship between perceived benefit-risk and total risk-taking, various CSWs moderated the relationships between perceived benefit-risk and 6 sub domains of risk-taking. These results were compared with previous studies of risk-taking and discussed the relevance of the narcissistic type.

The purpose of this study was to compare the anxiety, sexual attitudes, and sexual behavior according to smartphone use and contacts with obscene materials. 110 university students surveyed demographic characteristics, smartphone use, contacts with obscene materials, anxiety, sexual attitudes, and sexual behavior, and analyzed 102 questionnaires except missing and incomplete responses. The collected data were analyzed by independent t-test or chi-square test. Men were significantly more likely to have contacts with obscene materials, sexual attitudes, and sexual behavior than the women (p<.05). In type of residence, boarding room or lodging was significantly higher at time of smartphone use, anxiety, and sexual behaviors than the home (p<.05). There was no difference in variables according to religion (p>.05). There was no difference in variables according to the level of academic achievement (p>.05). Time of smartphone use over 3 hours was significantly higher for contacts of obscene materials, anxiety, and sexual attitudes and behaviors than less 3 hours (p<.05). Higher levels of time of contacts with obscene materials were significantly higher in anxiety and sexual behaviors than lower level (p<.05). The results of this study can be used as a basis for the development of intervention programs for those who are experiencing excessive smartphone use and contacts with obscene materials.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of computer-based cognitive rehabilitation and traditional cognitive training on the working memory and executive function of patients with mild traumatic brain injury. The sample consisted of 20 patients with mild traumatic brain injury who had received rehabilitation treatment in a rehabilitation unit. The subjects were assigned to either the experimental (n = 10) or control group (n = 10). The experimental group received computer-based cognitive rehabilitation and traditional cognitive training for 60 minutes, whereas the control group received only traditional cognitive training for 60 minutes. Both the groups received their respective interventions for 60 minutes a day and 5 times per week across a period of 4 weeks. Working memory and executive function were assessed using the digit span test (forward and backward), visual memory 1 and 2 of the Motor-free Visual Perception Test-3, trail making test, and Stroop test (A and B) both before and after the intervention. The experimental group showed a significantly greater improvement in visual memory and performance on the Stroop test A than the control group. These findings suggest that computer-based cognitive rehabilitation and traditional cognitive training are more effective in promoting positive changes in the working memory and executive function of individuals with mild traumatic brain injury than traditional cognitive training.

The purpose of this study was to implement a cognitive stimulation activity program and examine its effects elderly people who is capable of daily life and community activities but suffering from per sistent cognitive decline on the elderly's cognitive function, self-efficacy, and depression. The purpose of this study was to help elderly people who is capable of daily life and community activities but suffering from persistent cognitive decline improve their ability to perform and adapt to activity-based tasks incorporating a variety of actions of different subdomains and difficulty levels, ac cording to their characteristics and cognitive levels. The aim of the program created was to systemati cally improve the subdomains of cognitive functions and eventually preventing these conditions develo ping into dementia in those affected. This study also enabled the subjects to improve their self-effica cy through newly gained positive perceptions and attitudes toward their own abilities by successfully expressing their experience or thoughts about circumstantially and relationally meaningful events and memories, and performing activities that promote sensory stimulations. The group activities conducted as part of the study helped the subjects reduce their symptoms of depression not only by expressing their thoughts and emotions, but also by encouraging empathy with, understanding of, and caring for others. Given that this study confirmed the potential of the cognitive stimulation program designed fo r it as a clinical intervention for elderly people with cognitive impairment, it is suggested as a useful preventive program for early stage dementia.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the research trend of 341 studies published in Journal of Korean Clinical Nursing Research from 1995 to 2008. Methods: This study was conducted from May to November, 2009. The tool for analysis developed through literature reviews and discussions of researchers consisted of 7 categories such as characteristics of researchers, research designs, subjects, data collection methods, ethical consideration, nursing interventions, and dependent variables. Data were analyzed by frequency and percentage. Results: The mean number of author per study was 4.7, and clinical nurses were the most frequent as the first author (79.7%) and as a corresponding author (67.1%). Quantitative study was 97.6% and nonexperimental study was 51.7%. The most frequently used research designs were quasi-experimental study (73.9%) among experimental studies and survey study (79.1%) among nonexperimental studies. Patients were the most frequent subjects for studies (55.8%). 46.1% of studies gathered data with questionnaire, 57.7% of studies had consent from patients, and 44.3% of studies used nursing skills for nursing interventions, and 60.0% of studies used clinical end points for dependent variables. Conclusion: The research trend of clinical nursing studies shows that clinical nurses mostly perform quasi-experimental researches to solve patients' problem and frequently use nursing skills for nursing intervention and explore the effect of nursing interventions on clinical end points.
The purpose of this study is not only to explore the effects of emotional labor on job stress but also to investigate the moderating effects of grit and social support between emotional labor and job stress. A survey was conducted for 804 call center counselors in Daegu, Daejeon and Suwon to figure out research questions, and the collected data were analyzed with SPSS 25.0. The results of the data analysis are as follows. First, emotional labor of customer counselors was found to have a positive effect on job stress. Second, in the relationship between emotional labor and job stress of customer counselors, grit showed different results according to sub-factors. The higher the Perseverance of Effort, the higher the job stress, and the higher the Consistency of Interest, the lower the job stress. Third, in the relationship between emotional labor and job stress of customer counselors, supervisor support of social support had a moderating effect, while peer support had no moderating effect. It shows that in order to prevent job stress of customer counselors, who have a high intensity of emotional labor, it is necessary to intervene to help them develop a positive perception of themselves through non-cognitive factors such as grit and the support provided by a trusted target. In addition, appropriate intervention methods and educational environment should be supported.
This study is to provide basic data on intervention methods to enhance the performance of infection control by grasping the relationship between ethical decision-making, moral sensitivity and infection control performance of nursing students in the global COVID-19 pandemic. General characteristics, major-related characteristics, ethical decision-making, moral sensitivity, and infection control were investigated using a structured questionnaires for 3rd and 4rd graders of nursing college. To analyze collected data, descriptive statistics, indepentent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression anlaysis were performed using IBM SPSS21.0 program.
