This paper presents the performance improvement of a Nozzle/Ball type servovalve with variant drain orifice. First of all, the configuration of the novel servovalve is proposed. Then, the static characteristics are investigated under blocked load condition, and its dynamic characteristics are analyzed by using the linearized flow-pressure relationship. Finally, the performance at the null condition of the proposed servovalve is numerically evaluated through the comparison study with the convention at counterparts.

In this paper I examined economies and implications of "Net Neutrality" and Internet Freedom. It is argued that mandating Net Neutrality would be likely to reduce economic welfare. Instead, the government should focus on creating competition in the broadband market by liberalizing more spectrum and reducing entry barriers created by certain local regulations. In cases where a broadband provider can exercise market power the government should use its antitrust enforcement authority to police anti-competition behavior. To assure Net Neutrality, it is needed to make sure of fair competition and to facilitate flexible prices. Especially it is needed to invest consistently to the sector of Network.

Six full scale column specimens have been tested under the constant axial and cyclic lateral load. An equivalent stress block parameter was used to estimate flexural capacity of columns confined by carbon sheet tube. Through the non-linear regression analysis, behaviors of CFCST(Concrete Filled Carbon Sheet Tube) columns under the cyclic lateral load were estimated and compared with test results.

주식 시장을 예측하는 문제는 금융 분야에서 중요한 관심이 되어왔다. 주식 시세는 시장 환경의 변화에 따라 급격한 변화를 갖는다. 따라서 주식 투자로부터 이윤을 창출하기 위해서 주식을 사고 파는 시점을 결정하는 문제는 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 주시 매매 타이밍을 예측하기 위해서 캔들스틱 차트(Candlesticks chart)분석을 이용한 전문가 시스템(Expert System)으로서 '차트 해석기 (Chart Interpreter)'를 설계, 개발하였다. 주식 가격의 변동을 예고하는 패턴들을 정의하고 그 패턴들의 의미에 따라 매미결정을 첨가한 규칙을 생성하였다. 정의된 패턴들은 의미에 따라 크게 하락형, 상승형, 중립형, 추세지속형, 추세 전환형으로 분류된다. 정의된 패턴과 지식베이스의 유용성을 검증하기 위해서 수행된 1992년부터 1997년에 걸친 과거 한국 주식 시장 실거래 투자 데이터에 대한 실험결과는 평균 투자 성공률이 약 72%로서 주식시장에서 투자자들의 투자를 돕는데 우수한 지표로서 사용될 수 있음을 보였다. 또한, 개발된 지식베이스는 특정 연도나 특정 분야에 따라 예측력이 크게 변하지 않은 시간 독립적이고 분야 독립적인 특성을 가짐으로 분야나 시간에 구애받지 않고 사용할 수 있다는 장점을 갖는다.

Web Services가 차세대 e-Business를 주도할 것으로 많은 주목을 받으면서 XML(extensible Markup Language)을 기반으로 하여 폭넓게 성장해 가고 있다. 하지만 안전한 서비스의 측면에서 Web Services 는 폐쇄환경에서는 존재하지 않았던 새로운 보안 고려사항들을 부각시키고 있다. 이에 대한 해결을 위해 본 논문에서는 XML을 기반으로 하는 Web Services의 특성에 맞추어, 플랫폼 독립적이며 언어 중립적인 특징을 유지한 XML-Signcryption을 제안하는데, 이것은 논리적으로 한번에 전자 서명과 암호화를 함께 수행하도록 하여 기존의 서명 후 암호화에서 요구되는 계산 비용보다 더 적은 비용을 가지고 있는 Zheng의 Signcryption 기법을 XML 보안에 응용한 것이다. 본 논문에서 처음으로 XML 구문 형식을 따라 XML-Signcryption이란 명칭으로 설계하여 제안하는 XML-Signcryption은 암호화와 전자서명을 따로 구현한 W3C(World Wide Web Consortium)의 XML-Encryption이나 XML-Signature 스펙과 비교해, 전자서명과 암호화의 두 가지 보안 메커니즘을 위한 각각의 구현을 따로 할 필요 없이 한번에 할 수 있다는 면에서 개발자들에게 편리성을 제공할 뿐만 아니라 계산 비용 측면에서도 효율적인 장점을 제공한다.

컴퓨터 프로그래밍 학습은 추상적인 개념을 이해하고 주어진 문제를 스스로 해결하도록 한다. 기존 초등학교 프로그래밍 교육에서 BASIC, C와 같은 절차적 프로그래밍 언어에 대한 연구는 많이 있지만 JAVA와 같은 객체지향 프로그래밍 언어를 통한 교육은 찾아보기 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 구조 중립적이며, 분산 인터넷 환경에 적합한 특성을 가지고 있는 객체지향 JAVA 프로그래밍 학습 시스템을 개발하여, 초등학교 학생들로 하여금 활용하도록 하였다. JAVA 학습 시스템 구현을 통한 객체지향 프로그래밍 교육은 초등학생들의 논리적 사고력을 향상시키고, 수학, 과학 과목의 학습 성취도에 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 것을 현장 학습 실험으로 확인하였다. 더불어 컴퓨터에 대한 흥미도가 상승하였다.

Portland Limestone Cement (PLC) is a blended cement using limestone powder as SCMs (Supplementary Cementitious Materials), and is currently regarded as an essential means for achieving carbon neutral in the cement industry. This study was performed to investigate the fresh and hardened properties of cement mortar according to the fineness and replacement ratio of limestone powder. As a result, the compressive strength of mortar used high blaine limestone powder were equivalent level of that of OPC.

Using the limestone powder as material that can substitute the clinker, it seems to get positive effect as filler and enhance workability of cement but the substitution amount and chemical properties of it can affect mechanical properties of cement. Thus, in this study, the effect limestone powder that has other properties on cement is evaluated. As a result, the workability enhancing effect was confirmed but deterioration of compressive strength was also checked. Later, with the view of workability, the experiment that the possibility of strength compensation by decreasing unit water weight of limestone powder cement is planned when the limestone powder is used.

다양한 신재생 에너지 발전 중에서 수력발전은 풍력발전과 더불어 탄소배출이 가장 적은 에너지 발전 중 하나이며, 정부의 "2050 탄소중립" 발표에 따라 근래 수력발전에 대한 관심이 증폭되고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 국내의 지리적 특성상 수력발전의 규모가 국외에 비해 소규모이며, 대규모 수력발전의 경우에도 설치가능지역이 고갈되어 다수의 소규모 수력 발전소 설치라는 방향성이 불가피한 현실이다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 유한요소법을 이용하여 소규모 수력발전에 가장 많이 사용되는 콘크리트 댐 형상에 대한 구조해석을 실시하고 정수압 하에서 각 콘크리트 댐의 변형 거동 및 안정성을 분석하였다.

Rattle noise occurs at manual transmission as idling and driving of a automotive. It can be solved by torsional characteristics of a clutch disc. A clutch disc consist of a region of pre-damper and main-damper. Rattle noise is affected by pre-damper and main-damper equipped for a torsional spring and friction washer. Pre-damper range covers noise radiating from manual transmission when engine is idling and main-damper range covers noise when engine is driving. The aim of this reserch is to clear transmission rattle noise by way of torsional characteristics of a clutch disc. The experiment is carried out as idling and driving of a automobile equipped for 1.5L MPI engine, dry single-disc type clutch and manual transmission. In this study, the results show for a vibration of manual transmission as idling and driving can be cleared by a clutch disc of Pre-damper type.
