  • The purpose of this study is to analyze expenditure on children's private, after-school education, perceptional need for private education, and budget planning pattern for the expenditure of education applying survey data, and to investigate current situation to Identify solving planning for digital age. taking on-line educational service system and internet financial planning for children's educational expenditure into account. Under the purposes, this study especially focused on the condition of on-line educational service system and the merits as well as problems of the system, the need for household financial planning for children's education, and the condition or nature of internet financial planning system, in terms of providing market information and of suggesting policy implications.

  • Purpose: This research was done to explore the meaning of 'well-being' as experienced by middle aged people. Method: The data were collected by individual in-depth interviews with 107 middle aged adults and it was analysed using qualitative content analysis. Results: 4 components of the meaning of well-being as perceived by the participants were identified as follows: the life of free without physical discomfort and psychosocial distress; the life of comfort with plenty of time, space, material, and mind; the life of purity with natural material and honest mind; the life of harmony with extended consciousness. Conclusion: Therefore the identified meanings of the well-being in this study should be reflected to the nursing education and the nursing practice.

중년기 기혼여성의 자아정체감 및 위기감이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Ego-Identity and Crisis on Quality of Life in Midlife Married Women)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze on effects of midlife ego-identity and crisis on quality of life in married women. The data were obtained through 394 midwife married women who live in Kwangju and Chonnam. The results were as follows. (1) The mean scores of ego-identity and quality of life were higher than the medium point. The mean scores of crisis was a little lower than the medium. (2) The ego-identity was significantly influenced by religion, health condition, social intimacy, marital relations, and parent-child relations. The crisis was influenced significantly by income, health condition, marital relations, and ego-identity. And the quality of life was influenced significantly by religion, health condition, marital relations, parent-child relations, and crisis. (3) On the result of path analysis, religion, health condition, marital relations, parent-child relations, and crisis directly influenced the Quality of life. Besides, income, social intimacy, and ego-identity indirectly affected the quality of life.

중년기의 경제적 복지에 대한 인적자본과 사회자본의 상대적 효과 (The Relative Effects of Human Capital and Social Capital on the Economic Well-being of the Late Middle-aged in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relative effects of human capital and social capital on the economic well-being of late middle-aged Koreans. The data from the first wave of KLoSA (Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging) aged 50-64 were used (n=4,040). The major findings were as follows: First, human capital and social capital are both resources that can contribute to increasing the economic well-being of the middle-aged. Second, the relative contribution of human capital to the economic well-being of the middle-aged varied by the level of social capital, including formal network and informal network. Third, the relative contribution of social capital to the economic well-being of the middle-aged varied by the level of human capital, including employment type and educational attainment. Based on empirical results, the implications for social investment in human capital and social capital were provided.

중년기 전업주부의 생활진단 척도개발 (Development of Life-Scale for Middle Aged full time homemakers)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the life scale of the middle aged homemakers. The life scale are composed of spouse relation 8 items, child education relation 7 items, home economy relation 4 items, homework relation 3 items, selfish health relation 6 items, parent relation 3 items, and interest and social activity relation 4 items. The reliability coefficient of the development scale was Cronbach'α =.83 and the correlations of each demesne was high. For the better future life in this study, the middle aged homemakers are needed the improvement of conjugal relations, the child education, the health, the interest, and the enlargement of social relations. This life scale can help to evaluate their middle age, and to the planning of energetic healthful future, and useful to understanding characteristic and the developmental task of middle aged homemakers.

중년기 기혼여성의 사회적지원망이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Social Support Network on the Life Satisfaction of Married Middle-aged Women)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine the social support network of married middle-aged women and its effects on the life satisfaction. The data were obtained through 395 middle-aged women living in Kwangju and Chonnam. The major findings were as follows. 1. Married middle-aged women mostly received companionable support and they were intimate with friends and family members of orientation obviously. 2. The life satisfaction of married middle-aged women was significantly influenced by emotional support from wife's family members of orientation, contact frequency with husband's family members of orientation, emotional support from their friends and intimacy with wife's family members of orientation.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the mechanism involved in predicting the Quality of Life (QOL) of middle.aged Koreans. The QOL was measured by integrating life satisfaction indicators. To accomplish this, a survey data set was drawn from a convenient sample of 670 individuals during the period of January and February 2011. To differentiate the influences from the different life domains, stepwise multiple regressions were attempted. In our results, the SES indicators, personal mental health, physical health, social capital resources from family as well as job places, perceived local government services, and the current living conditions to determine QOL, explained 55% of the total variance. In conclusion, the results of this study demonstrated the complex mechanisms that explain QOL in terms of ecological predictors.

선택.최적화.보상 책략과 중년기 위기감과의 관계 (Selection, Optimization, and Compensation(SOC) as Strategies of life Management in Mid-life Crisis)

  • This study investigated the relationships among Selection, Optimization, and Compensation(SOC) as strategies of life management in mid-life crisis respect to gender and age. The subjects of this study were 170 females and 182 males at the ages between 40 and 60 living in Seoul. Selection, Optimization, and Compensation(SOC) as strategies of life management were assessed by SOC-questionnaire while mid-life crisis was assessed by Mid-Life Crisis Scale. The data were analyzed using frequencies, percentiles, means, standard deviations, Cronbach's $\alpha$, two-way ANOVAS, and Pearson's correlations. Except compensation there was no significant difference in Selection and Optimization as strategies of life management as a function of gender and age. No signigicant difference was found in mid-life crisis as a function of gender and age. There were significant negative correlations among Selection, Optimization, and Compensation(SOC) as strategies of life management and mid-life crisis except the individuation.

중년기 주부들이 추구하는 의복이미지에 관한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on Middle Aged Housewives' Clothing Image)

  • This qualitative case study examined what type of clothing image middle aged housewives strive for, and how to classify the preferred clothing style. Secondly, we examined how their clothing image corresponded to age and observed the meaning of such changes over time. The participants of this study were eight middle aged housewives. This study was conducted through in-depth interviews that were based on an unstructured questionnaire, and the data were collected from January to October 2010. The results were as follows: First, result related to preferred clothing image implicated fashion, esthetic sense, and clothing concerns. Preferred clothing image fell into 'intelligent-colorful' and 'urban-neat' categories. The preferred clothing style types of the participants were labeled as 'trendy', 'classic', 'conservative', and 'unique'. Second, the clothing image that participants thought to be of greater value in middle age included 'graceful' and 'elegant' allowing for the expression of age-appropriate style, high quality, and mind of plenty.

중년기 성인의 노화불안, 우울 및 자아존중감에 대한 연구 (A Study on Aging Anxiety, Depression, and Self-esteem of Middle-aged People)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among aging anxiety, depression, and self-esteem of middle-aged people. Method: The study was designed as a descriptive correlation study Data were collected using a structured questionnaire which included general characteristics, and measures of aging anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. Data collection was done between March 15 and June 10. 2006 with 184 middle-aged participants. Results: The average score of the participants for aging anxiety was 48.38, for depression 16.49, and for self-esteem 29.08. There were positive correlations between aging anxiety and depression, aging anxiety and self-esteem. There was a negative correlation between depression and self-esteem. The correlations were statistically significant. Conclusion: Therefore, nursing program should be developed to improve the mental health and increase the qualitative life of middle-aged people.
