The Application of Multi-State Model to the Bipolar Disorder Study (양극성 장애 환자의 기분 전환 현상 연구를 위한 다단계 모형의 적용)

  • Bipolar disorder, also known as manic-depressive illness, is a brain disorder that causes unusual shifts in person's mood, energy, and ability to function. Compared with manic episode, the depression episode causes more serious results such as restless, loss of interest or pleasure, or thoughts of death or suicide and the cure rate of depression episode is lower than that of manic episode. Furthermore, a long term use of antidepressants in bipolar patients may result in manic episode. Our interest is to investigate the effect of antidepressant on switch of moods of bipolar patients and to estimate the transition probabilities of switch between moods, depression and (hypo) manic. In this study, three approaches are applied in terms of multi state model. Parametric model is applied using left censoring data and nonparametric model is implemented under illness-death model with counting process. In order to estimate the effect of covariates, a multiplicative model is used. These all methods have similar results.

Reduced Chemical Kinetic Mechanism for Premixed CO/H2/Air Flames ([ CO/H2/Air ] 예혼합 화염에 대한 준총괄 화학반응 메커니즘)

  • A reduced chemical kinetic mechanism is developed in order to predict the flame phenomena in premixed $CO/H_2/Air$ flames at atmospheric pressure, aimed at studying the coal gas combustion for the IGCC applications. The reduced mechanism is systematically derived from a full chemical kinetic mechanism involving 11 reacting species and 66 elementary reactions. This mechanism consists of four global steps, and is capable of explicitly calculating the concentration of 7 non-steady species and implicitly predicting the concentration of 3 steady state species. The fuel blend contains two fuels with distinct thermochemical properties, whose contribution to the radical pool in the flame is different. The flame speeds predicted by the reduced mechanism are in good agreement with those by the full mechanism and experimental results. In addition, the concentration profiles of species and temperature are also in good agreement with those by the full mechanism.

  • A numerical analysis for the performance of compound gyroplane in forward flight was performed. TSM(Transient Simulation Method) was used to analyze the performance of autorotating rotor. CFD was conducted for the fuselages to recognize the variation of aerodynamic performance according to flight speed. At given conditions; airspeed, shaft angle and collective pitch, the quasi-static states of autorotation were determined and the variation of rotor performance was observed. Performance analysis results showed that the effect of aerodynamic characteristics in accordance with the shape of fuselage is so important that the streamlined fuselage is essential to fly fast. Forward flight speed limit is dependent on the autorotation performance of rotor.

  • This paper presents models for the dynamic simulation of a regenerative gas turbine and describes dynamic behaviors of a small regenerative engine. A quasi-steady model is introduced where the inertia of the working fluid is assumed to be negligible compared with the mechanical inertia of the rotating shaft. Based on this quasi-steady model, the transient model for the heat exchanger is employed to simulate the unsteady heat exchange in the recuperator. The effect of the thermal inertia of the recuperator metal on transient behaviors is analyzed by comparing the predicted results of the transient and steady state heat exchanger models. For several load change modes such as sudden increase, decrease and periodic variation, engine dynamic characteristics are investigated by applying a fuel control logic for the constant shaft speed. It is found that the thermal inertia of the recuperator metal has a dominant effect on the whole engine dynamic behavior.

  • Loss of Control in Flight(LOC-I) due to aircraft upset attitude has the highest air accident rate, and International Aviation Institute such as ICAO and FAA recommended flight crew to operate aircraft safely through UPRT(Upset Prevention & Recovery Training) program. ICAO has selected Loss of Control(LOC) as key safety indicator, and recommended to respond using TEM(Threat and Error Management). However there are not much specific treats and errors classified for UPRT programs using real TEM based on evidences. This study intends to consider the importance of UPRT through the introduction of UPRT and accident analysis using TEM. Typical upset accidents were classified to common threats as IFR, inadequate training, Automation surprise, and inexperienced copilots. The common errors were cross-check, speed and altitude deviation, callouts, communication, thrust and stall action fail. The undesired aircraft states were inadequate automation mode, Deviation of speed and vertical, stall, and crash. These suggest areas to improve UPRT.

  • In this paper, We assume that the closed computer system model composed of multiprocessor system is analyzed by BCMP queueing network theory with priority levels. In this system that contains terminals, processors and I/O devices, We show maximum throughput and the number of active terminals in the optimum multiprogramming levels. It is compared the performance with the other. In the result, it is obtained the optimum number of processors and active terminals. Therefore, the system model consisted of the optimum number of processor and multiprogramming level m is analyzed by the servers with a priority level. Each server is applied to the type of server which is characterized terminal, processor I/O device etc.. This model is analyzed by the server with a probability ditribution. Ideal state is proposed by the modeling for priority levels. Finally, we try to increase the performance in overload system.

  • 본 연구는 고등학교 1학년 여학생 25명을 대상으로 한달간 평소 염분에 대한 염미도(염분 섭취력)를 측정하여 동일한 농도의 염분용액일지라도 염분용액의 내용물에 따라 염미도에 차이를 나타내는 지의 여부를 확인하고자 1개월간 염분 섭취력을 측정하여 저염 선호 섭취력군, 정상 선호 섭취력군, 고염 선호 섭취력군으로 나누어 과거의 염분 섭취력이 짠맛 기호에 변화를 초래할 수 있는지를 조사한 것이다. 동일한 농도의 염분용액일지라도 염분용액의 내용물을 달리하는 방법으로 0.9% 동일한 농도의 순수 염분액, 1%초산과 3% 백설탕을 혼합한 혼합 염분액, 간장으로 간을 맞춘미역국, 된장으로 간을 맞춘 시금치국, 소금으로 간을 맞춘 콩나물국 등의 5종을 만들고 실험 대상자에게는 평상상태, 24시간 금식, 저단백 식사, 고단백 식사 등의 4종의 상태로 조건을 준 후 상기에서 준비된 실험용액을 맛보게 한 후 최적 염분 염미도를 짜다, 적당하다, 싱겁다로 평가하도록 하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. (1)식염 섭취량은 고염 섭취력군에서 가장 높았으며, 한국인의 평균 섭취량 보다 높았으며, 한국인의 평균 섭취량 보다 높았다. (2)과거의 염분 섭취력이 신체조건의 변화와 용액의 종류에 따라 염분 기호에 영향을 미쳤으며 특히 간장미역국, 된장시금치국, 소금콩나물국 같은 조미된 음식을 선호하였다. (3)식염 배설량은 1일전의 섭취력과 무관하게 거의 일정하게 배설되었다.

  • 서브네트워크에서 실시간으로 통신 트래픽을 감시하고, 트래픽 정보를 바탕으로 시계열 분석을 이용해 트래픽의 변화추이를 예측할 수 있는 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. SNMP를 이용한 MIB-II 정보를 바탕으로 하는 분석 방법은 누적 데이터를 기본으로 하는 관리 방법으로 이상 징후의 판단이 실시간 감시에는 적합하지 않은 점이 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 실시간 트래픽 감시를 위해 서브네트워크에 들어오거나 나가는 트래픽의 양을 측정하여 분석하고, 이 정보를 바탕으로 특정 시점 이후의 트래픽 추이를 시계열 분석 방법을 이용하여 미래의 트래픽 양을 예측하는 알고리즘을 시스템으로 구현한다. 예측 알고리즘으로는 AR, MA, ARMA, ARIMA 모델중에 평균 제곱 오차를 최소로 가지는 알고리즘을 선택하여 예측하도록 설계한다. 개발되는 시스템을 망 관리자가 전체 통신 네트워크의 부하 상태를 예상할 수 있게 하여 신속하고 예방적인 대응을 할 수 있다.

  • 154 kV 변전소에 설치 운전 중인 SC Bank콘덴서 셀의 절연파괴 고장이 빈번하게 발생되어 전력계통의 운용 덴 변전소 운전에 지장을 주는 사례가 많이 발생하였다. 따라서 이의 고장원인 진단을 통하여 대책수립을 하고자 EMTP(Electro-Magnetic Transient Program)를 이용하여 50의 SC Bank의 정상상태시 과전압, 과전류에 의한 소손현상을 검토하고, 계통조건에 따른 공진점변화와 고조파에 따른 이상전압 및 콘덴서 셀 전압의 상승 현상을 검토 분석하고, 현장 실측을 통하여 고조파성분에 따른 과전압 및 과전류를 분석하여 대책을 제시한 사례 연구의 결과이다.

  • In this paper, dynamic control model is formulated by considering the geometrical structure of the deaerator storage tank in nuclear power plant and input-output flow rate at steady state, and we describe fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) scheme based on the adaptive estimator. The performance and effectiveness of the proposed FDD scheme are evaluated by applying real operating data obtained from the YOUNGKWANG 3 & 4 FSAR.
