On the Stability of the Push-Pull Current-Fed DC-DC Converter (전류형 DC-DC 콘버어터의 안정성에 관하여)

  • From the foregoing papers, it has been clarified that the push-pull current-fed DC-DC converter is excellent in stability as compared with the other conventional DC-DC con-verters. The relation between the stability of the converter and the capacitance of smoothing condenser is analyzed, considering the ESR of smoothing condenser and the 1 st order phase lag of the feedback circuit. From the results, it is known that when the capacitance of smoothing condenser is reduced, the stability of the converter is also excellent as compared with the conventional buck type converter, whereas there are limitations for practical use, since the ripple of output voltage increases by increasing of output current.

  • In the next generation of mobile communication systems, high data rates and high capacity will be possible if multiple antennas are used at new frequencies. This paper presents the correlations between channel parameter path loss (PL), delay spread (DS), angular spread (AS) and K-factor established based on channel measurements. To avoid interference from Korean DTV broadcasting, we measured the channel characteristics in urban/rural/suburban areas on Jeju Island using a channel sounder and $4{\times}4$ antennas. The correlations between channel parameter show that the wireless channel characteristics can be determined and effective communication system design can be produced for use in similar environments.

  • In this study, a OFDM mode, unlike traditional single carrier mode, is that a great number of carrier in multi-channel environment is transmitted by modulating objective Data parallel in order to execute high speed Data translation and make frequency orthogonal to offer high spectrum efficiency As a result, this method is adopted to a variety of fields and is being actively studied. In this papers, the efficiency of OFDM wireless-communication systems is evaluated by modulation methods through computer simulation. M-PSK and M-QAM are used as modulation methods. The simulation is executed in a real channel and a virtual channel included multi-path, AWGN, Peak Power clipping, Frame Start Time Error. As a result of simulation, it is confirmed that M-OAM method is superior to M-PSK in OFDM systems in terms of the transmission methods.

  • OFDM(orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) modulates transmitting data with many carriers in parallel. As a result, high-speed data transmission is carried out and high spectral efficiency is provided by overlapping orthogonal frequencies. Therefore, OFDM is applied to many communication systems. In this paper, according to modulation methods(M-PSK and M-QAM), coded-OFDM wireless communication is simulated. Turbo code is used and two channels(virtual and real channel) are used. both channels have multipath delay spread, Gaussian noise, and peak power clipping. As a result of the simulation, coding gain is about 3dB and it is proved that M-QAM modulation is better than M-PSK. Start after striking space key 2 times.

  • In this paper, we developed a new method estimating the location of ballistic missile launching using infrasound signals. Infrasound signal generated from the North Korea's ballistic missile launch was used as source data and its signal was recorded at KMA (Korea Meteorological Administration) infrasound stations located at Cheorwon and Yanggu. Time-frequency analysis, TDOA (Time Delay of Arrival) method and spherical trigonometry were applied for data processing of signal recorded and occurrence location detection. We could confirm the outstanding performance of the algorithm estimating source location which was only 3 km apart from the actual launching site.

  • In this paper, we focus on the developments of complex location awareness algorithms for real-time location based service and precise/stable localization in the outdoor. In the case of using galileo satellite system along with GPS, several error factor such as the ionosphere can be reduced for an increment of used frequency and visible satellites. Therefore, localization estimation error is no longer having problems with location awareness. But, chips synchronization error induces the error of acquisition and tracking, and the performance of receiver can be decreased. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a correlator for performance improvement of receiver in the precise localization.

  • We consider the interval of a gain within which it is guaranteed that a feedback control system is stable. This paper presents the condition under which either a unity feedback control system is stable for a connected gain interval with a proportional compensator cascaded with an open loop forward transfer function. By the connected interval we mean that all the numbers between any two numbers in the connected interval belongs to the connected interval. The condition may be described by a frequency inequality in terms of the denominator and/or numerator of the closed loop transfer function. We also consider the conditions for the discrete-time control systems and the time delay continuous-time control systems. We show that this condition cannot be extended for the transfer function having complex coefficients via a counterexample.

  • This paper discusses the development of an acoustic vector channel simulator for the performance analysis of an acoustic digital communication system. The channel simulator consists of transmission module, acoustic channel model, receiver, beamformer, and adaptive equalizer. QPSK source signal is generated by the parameters specified by a user. The transmitted signal generates multipath signals which have a different delay, amplitude, and dopper frequency. The multipath singnals with the acoustic noises are the received signal. This paper presents the performance analysis of an acoustic digital communication system according to the antenna structure and the various baseband signal processing techniques.

  • In this paper, a channel estimation method by orthogonalizing of the time domain training signal in MIMO-OFDM systems is proposed. It has shown that Jeon's method[8] cannot be directly used in 4 Tx antenna MIMO-OFDM systems since the delayed Rx signals interfere the orthogonal property of the time domain training signals. As a possible solution to the problem, in this paper, a guard interval is inserted into the center of the training signals so that the orthogonal property between the Rx training signals can be maintained. It is shown by using computer simulations that the proposed method can estimate the channel response in time domain in 4 Tx antenna MIMO-OFDM systems.

  • We propose an active stabilization method for the receiver of NRZ-DPSK transmission. The 1-bit delayed Mach-Zehlder interferometer is thermally controlled to maintain the largest DC component power ratio between the constructive and destructive output ports, for the optimum transmission condition. This method is very cost effective since no additional components are required. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme guarantees error free performance even when there was ~ 1 GHz optical carrier frequency fluctuation in 10 Gbps transmission.
