  • 교통 상황 감시 시스템은 감시 카메라로 촬영된 영상을 입력으로 받아 도로 상의 자동차를 탐지, 추출, 추적 및 인식하고 그것으로부터 고급 수준의 정보 즉, 특정한 이벤트를 탐지하기 위한 목적으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 감시 시스템들은 불법주차나 교통 상황 분석과 같은 특정 목적만을 위해 설계되었기 때문에, 확장성이나 호환성이 고려되지 않고 설계 및 구현되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 기존 시스템의 문제를 해결하고 보다 효율적인 시스템의 설계를 위하여, 교통 상황 감시 시스템에 대한 총 5 계층의 미들웨어를 제안한다. 그리고 제안하는 미들웨어를 구성하기 위해서 총 45개의 인터페이스를 직접 구현하였고, 이를 통해 기존 시스템의 문제점인 확장성과 호환성을 해결하였다.

  • In this paper, a system which uses Bluetooth and Zigbee wireless communication and mobile device is designed. The temperature within vehicle and the distance betweeen the vehicle and the obstacle is measured by ultrasonic sensor system. The measured data is sent to the mobile PDA and displayed to assist safe driving.

  • 본 논문은 영상처리 및 센서를 이용하여 주유할 차량으로 이동, 주유구 인식 및 개폐, 주유까지의 과정을 처리할 수 있는 무인 주유 로봇의 구현 과정을 기술하였다. 캐터펄트는 자동차가 주차된 곳에 정확히 멈추게 되고, 로봇 팔이 영상 처리를 이용하여 주유구 위치를 찾아낸 뒤 주유를 시작한다. 로봇은 현 주유 시스템의 불편한 점을 사람 없이 전 과정을 처리하는 역할을 함으로써 주유소를 무인화하여 인건비를 최소화 시키고, 악천후 상황에서 주유의 편리성을 기대할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, a robust model based fault detection for varying temperature is proposed, To develop a robust force estimation model, it needs temperature information because the force sensor's output is affected by a temperature variation. If an EPB system does not include a temperature sensor, the model has a much larger error than an EPB system with a built-in temperature sensor. Therefore, the temperature is estimated by using Ohm's law. The force model is applied with a motor current, battery voltage, operation mode, and the estimated temperature to detect a force sensor's abnormal signal fault. The residual is calculated by comparing the value of the measured force and the estimated force. Fault information is collected by using the output of the evaluated residual with the adaptive thresholds. A proposed robust model based fault detection for varying temperature was verified by HILS (Hardware in the Loop Simulation).

  • The bi-modal tram is under development as a new public transportation. The features of the tram are an extended wheel base and its length. This features result in difficulties for drivers on maneuvering the tram. Therefore, the all wheel steering system is applied to the articulated vehicle. The AWS system enables the vehicle to steer all the rear wheels independently and improves its driving characteristics. However, the bi-modal tram has a problem to move backward in the limited place because of its geometric feature and the AWS system. Hence, the reverse parking assistant algorithm for articulated vehicle is developed to solve the problems of the reverse parking. Using the vehicle model which includes the reverse parking assistant algorithm, the dynamic analysis is performed for several parking cases. By the result of the analysis, the stability and validity of the reverse parking assistant algorithm is verified.

An Experimental Study on the Benefit of Pre-ventilation Using Solar Sunroof (쏠라 썬루프를 이용한 주차환기 시스템의 효과에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • This study presented the benefit of the pre-ventilation using solar sunroof with integrated photovoltaic. Recent year, auto-makers make an effort to enhance the fuel efficiency and moreover to clean the cabin passenger's health. Solar energy, one of the alternative energies, adapted in automotive air handling system, in order to pre-ventilation when vehicle parked under the sun in summer. The power generated by a prototype solar sunroof has been used to run blower in a air handing system. And the solar sunroof was installed in a vehicle, and evaluated to find out benefit of the pre-ventilation. The effect of reducing the cabin temperature about $3^{\circ}C{\sim}10^{\circ}C$ with 20 ~ 40W power generator from solar sunroof were obtained in the pre-ventilation test. This reduced thermal load can lead to the reduction of air-conditioning operation time than that of current car. Moreover, fuel economy may increase as a results of the short use of the air-conditioning time. Additionally, Total Volatile Organic Compounds in the cabin is reduced maximum 80% than that of the current vehicle.

A Comparative Study of Parking Path Following Methods for Autonomous Parking System (자율 주차 시스템을 위한 주차 경로 추종 방법의 비교 연구)

  • Over the last years, a number of different path following methods for the autonomous parking system have been proposed for tracking planned paths. However, it is difficult to find a study comparing path following methods for a short path length with large curvature such as a parking path. In this paper, we conduct a comparative study of the path following methods for perpendicular parking. By using Monte-Carlo simulation, we determine the optimal parameters of each controller and analyze the performance of the path following. In addition, we consider the path following error occurred at the switching point where forward and reverse paths are switched. To address this error, we conduct the comparative study of the path following methods with the one thousand switching points generated by the Monte-Carlo method. The performance of each controller is analyzed using the V-rep simulator. With the simulation results, this paper provides a deep discussion about the effectiveness and limitations of each algorithm.

  • This study uses finite element analysis to evaluate the forming load of tool entrance angle of the cold forward extrusion molding process of helical gear; this can replace the spur gear applied to the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) system. A cold forging process is often used in the automobile industry as well as in various industrial machines due to its high efficiency. Finite element analysis is frequently used when interpreting results of the forging process. Formality was evaluated by calculating tooth profile filling rate of helical gear. Change in required forming load was investigated when the entrance angle of forward extrusion tool die was changed from $30^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$, also by finite element analysis. We suggest suitable tool entrance angles.

  • Propulsion System provides the required velocity change impulse for orbit transfer from parking orbit to mission orbit and three-axis vehicle attitude control impulse. New LEO Satellite propulsion system (PS) will be an all-welded, monopropellant hydrazine system. The PS consists of the subassemblies and components such as Thrusters, Propellant Tank, Pressure Transducer, Propellant Filter, Latching Isolation Valves, Fill/Drain Valves, interconnecting propellant line assembly, and thermal hardwares for operation-environment control of the PS. In this study, preliminary design process of LEO Satellite propulsion system will be summarized.

  • Car rear-view camera system supplies various services for life protection, ease of parking, and safe driving by showing the rear of the vehicle through monitor when reversing the car. In this paper we researched development methods and design of a Car Rear-view Camera System based on the Binary CDMA technology - new technology of wireless personal area network developed by Korea - that makes free installation without wired cables restriction and reduces installation costs and technology royalties.
