The purpose of this study is to investigate the field librarians' opinions of the library specialization and specialized librarian and understand the librarians' working conditions and environment. Questionnaire were developed based on the previous studies and surveys were conducted with the librarians of public libraries, university libraries, and professional librarians across the nation. A total of 392 librarians have responded to the survey. As for the main result, the users' satisfaction with the specialization service was perceived to be high, and the most difficult matter in performing the specialization service is the lack of knowledge on the subject matter, and the library environment for the specialization service is not enough. The specialization service should be led by the theme specialized librarians, and the qualification criteria for the theme specialized librarians are required, and the qualification systems should be managed by the state.

The main purpose of this study was to identify the topics and research trends of international cadastral research using LDA. To achieve this goal, I reviewed the literature on LDA and international cadastral study and formulated four research questions that are topics of cadastral researchers, distribution of topics, the most influential topics and changes of topics over time. To answer these research questions, I analyzed 370 papers published in the FIG Peer Review Journal between January 1, 2008, and October 31, 2017, using LDA. As a result of the analysis, I confirmed that there are twelve major topics in international cadastral research. And the most influential topic of these topics was identified as topic 2(cadastral information systems), and topic 5(land development and land administration) was also confirmed as playing an important role in the overall document. These two topics have been the most popular topics whose trendlines have been very active over the past decade and will play a leading role in future cadastral research.

This study aimed to inquire into possibilities of the web-based representation of thematic maps by geo-information mashup in the geoweb platform. In the Web2.0, Google platform leads the geoweb by offering effective mashup functions for geo-information. Geo-information mashup is opening a new horizon of map applications in fusion with a great of data in the Internet. Geo-information mashup by the available data method can be classified as two type; one is linkage of sources of platform itself(satellite images) and external data, the other is linkage of platform itself and user created contents. This study made heatmap, proportional map, and choropleth map based on Google satellite images by the linkage of platform itself and external data. As a result, thematic map of Google mashup expected to give us to a flexibility for difference interpretations of geographical distribution by representing overlap with satellite images.

The recent advances of the information technology have motivated lots of research efforts to develop new computer-aided teaching and learning methodologies on various computer science topics, such as data structures, operating system, computer networks, and computer architecture. However, there have been only few studies to educate the database subject although it is one of the most important topics in the computer science. Specifically, among the various issues in the database subject, a learner often suffers to understand the mechanism of the concurrency control and recovery of database transaction in the database because it highly interacts with other functions in the database. Obviously, an intelligent visualization tool can help a learner to understand the process of the concurrency control and the recovery of database transaction. The purpose of this study is to develop an efficient visualization tool which can help users understand the two phase locking protocol (2PLP)-based concurrency control. Specifically, this visualization tool is designed to encourage a users' participation and raise their interest by visualizing the process of transactions and allowing users to specify and manipulate their own transactions.

In this study, an investigation has been made on the status of the issuance of librarian qualification, the status of operating Subject specialized librarians at home and abroad, the status of professional manpower of the similar cultural facilities, and their recruitment method, based on which an attempt has been made to propose a way to nurture the Subject specialized librarians. First, I propose a method for training Subject specialized librarians through a regular curriculum and a retraining process, while suggest the ways to nurture the Subject specialized librarians from undergraduate and also nurture the existing librarians to become the Subject specialized librarians. Second, the basic qualification of the Subject specialized librarians must have a career of more than 3 years in a specific subject area with a master's degree or higher, and in order to have a subject area background, it is proposed that a bachelor's degree or a master's degree must absolutely be acquired in the corresponding subject area. Third, in order to improve the treatment of such Subject specialized librarians, the Subject specialized librarians in the administrative service group could be organized into a research librarian (or library and information science) series and types as a subordinate literary series under the researcher position. That is, it is proposed to differentiate the librarians and the Subject specialized librarians by reorganizing series and types of the Subject specialized librarians while maintaining the current librarian series.

The concept based retrieval model has shown a higher performance than those of the simple matching function method or the P-norm retrieval method introduced to compensate the demerits of the Boolean retrieval model. However. it takes too long to create a semantic-net knowledge base, which is essential in concept exploration. In order to solve such demerits. a method was sought out by creating a distributed knowledge base by subjects to reduce construction time without hindering the performance of retrieval.

최근 인터넷상에는 매일 방대한 양의 정보가 창출되어 유포되고 있으며, 수많은 정보 제공 사이트들이 늘고 있다. 이용자들은 필요한 정보를 찾고 활용하기 위해 야후(Yahoo), 알타비스타(AltaVista) 등 국외 검색엔진(search engine)들과 심마니, 미스 다찾니 등 국내 검색엔진 등 인터넷상에 운용되고 있는 이들 시스템들을 이용하고 있지만, 대부분의 시스템들은 자체 정보 제공보다는 로봇 에이전트를 이용하여 인터넷 사이트에 등록되어 있는 다양한 분야의 홈페이지 정보들을 수집/분석하여 관련 사이트를 연결해주는 방식의 메타 검색엔진들로서 불필요한 정보들까지 제공함에 따라 이용자들이 필요로 하는 정보를 찾기에는 너무 많은 노력과 시간을 소모하게 되는 문제점을 안고 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 형태소 분석 및 시소러스 사전을 이용하여 검색의 정확성 및 재현율 향상을 고려하고, 주제어 중심의 불리언 검색뿐만 아니라 하이퍼텍스트 기반의 주제어 카탈로그 검색, 각기 다른 사이트의 검색엔진들로부터 질의한 결과를 통합하여 제공하는 지능형 통합검색, 이용자 프로파일에 근거하여 최신 업데이트된 정보를 주기적으로 제공해주는 맞춤정보서비스(Selective Dissemination of Information Service: SDI) 등을 통합한 인터넷 기반의 한글 정보검색시스템의 구현에 대한 내용을 기술하고자 한다.

인터넷의 보편화로 정보 교환이 활발해지면서 일반 사용자들에게 필요한 정보를 손쉽게 취득하게 해주는 정보 검색 시스템의 역할이 아주 중요하게 되었다. 일반적인 정보 검색은 사용자의 질의에 대해 문서내의 색인어 발생 빈도를 기반으로 관련 문서를 찾 준다. 본 논문에서는 XML 링크 정보를 이용하여 링크를 검색하여 관련 문서를 찾아주는 정보 검색 시스템을 제시한다. 이를 위해 XML 링크에서 ROLE 속성값인 메타 데이터를 색인하여 저장하고 링크에 대한 모든 정보를 저장하고, 이를 기반으로 특정 주제에 대한 검색시, 특정 주제로 가장 많이 링크된 문서를 검색한다. 제시한 방법을 현재 웹상에서 주로 이용되는 HTML 문서를 기반으로 분석해 본 결과 그 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다.

본 연구는 키워드 기반 통합 검색의 한계를 극복하고자, 시맨틱 웹 기술의 기반인 URI가 부여된 인스턴스를 등록하고 관리하는 URI 서버를 이용하여 개체 페이지를 구성하는 방식의 통합 검색 방안을 제안한다. 키워드로 구성된 사용자 질의어와 매칭된 URI 서버 내의 인스턴스를 분석하여 최적 개체를 선정하고 단위 서비스의 동시 작업 방식으로 개체 페이지를 구성한다. 또한, 논문으로부터 자동 추출된 주제 정보를 추론을 통해 인력, 기관, 위치 등으로 전파함으로써 주제 중심의 심층적 정보 제공이 가능하다. 해외에서 실 서비스되고 있는 Citeseer, Google Scholar와의 통합 검색 결과 비교 실험을 통해 본 연구의 효용성을 실증한다.

본 논문에서는 시맨틱 웹 기반의 학술 정보 분석 서비스 프레임워크인 OntoFrame에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 2005년부터 개발되기 시작한 OntoFrame은 매년 새로운 서비스와 기술로 확장되고 있으며 OntoFrame2008에서는 다중 키워드 기반의 검색 서비스 및 다중 개체 중심적 통합 검색기능을 제공한다. 본 서비스는 키워드의 개체를 판단한 후에 인력, 주제, 인력+주제에 해당하는 서비스 API를 호출하여 추론 서비스 페이지를 구성한다. 이때 시스템에서 자동으로 판단되는 개체의 모호함을 제거하기 위해서 사용자의 의도라고 판단되는 최적의 개체 조합 페이지뿐만 아니라 해당 키워드에서 나타날 수 있는 모든 개체 조합의 후보 페이지들을 제공해주어 시스템의 일방적인 추천 서비스의 단점을 없앴다. 그리고 서비스의 결과로 제공되는 페이지에서 링크를 통한 추가조건 검색도 제공해 주어 사용자의 검색 의도를 정확하게 파악하여 편리한 정보 획득을 도와주는 시스템으로 개발하고 있다. OntoFrame2008은 여러 가지 풍부한 분석 서비스를 제공하여 연구자들이 학술 정보 검색 과정에 많은 도움이 되는 추론 서비스를 제공하고 있다.
