In this study, research topic areas in Korean and American medical schools were analyzed to detect each nation's major research areas. CLINICAL NEUROLOGY was identified as the Korean researchers' major subject area by the total number of journals and 'RADIOLOGY, NUCLEAR MEDICINE & MEDICAL IMAGING' was the most major area by the total number of articles. On the other hand, American researchers' top major subject area was the one same area according to all analysis, BIOCHEMISTRY & MOLECULAR BIOLOGY. In addition, Korean researchers showed publishing tendency related to journal preference in several subject areas.

This study examines web query types and topics submitted to Naver during one year period by analyzing query logs and click logs. Query logs capture queries users submitted to the system, and click logs consist of documents users clicked and viewed. This study presents a methodology to classify query types and topics. A method for click log analysis is also suggested. When classified by query types, there are more site search queries than content search queries. Queries about computer/internet. entertainment, shopping. game, education rank hightest. The implications for system designers and web content providers are discussed.

This study aimed to investigate key research areas in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS) by analyzing trends and identifying emerging topics. To facilitate the research, a collection of 40,897 author keywords from 11,252 papers published in the past 30 years (1993-2022) in five journals was gathered. In addition, keyword analysis, as well as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and correlation analysis were conducted, utilizing variables such as the number of articles, number of authors, ratio of co-authored papers, and cited counts. The findings of the study suggest that two topics are likely to develop as promising research areas in LIS in the future: machine learning/algorithm and research impact. Furthermore, it is anticipated that future research will focus on topics such as social media and big data, natural language processing, research trends, and research assessment, as they are expected to emerge as prominent areas of study.

White가 제안한 자아 중심 인용 분석은 연구자를 대상으로 다면적인 분석을 가능하게 하는 방법이다. 이 연구에서는 자아 중심 인용 분석을 연구자 단위가 아닌 연구 주제에 대한 분석으로 응용하는 자아 중심 주제 인용 분석 기법을 제안하고, 시험적으로 폭소노미 주제의 연구문헌 집단에 응용하여 관련 연구의 핵심 문헌들과 주요 적용 이론을 반영하는 인용 정체성과 인용 이미지를 파악해보았다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends and the learners' preference for subject area of SW education content. First, we analyzed trends in the subject areas of various SW education contents in recent research literature, textbooks, and textbooks. Based on this, we defined six subject areas as storytelling, game, media art, educational learning contents, simulation. Also, we analyzed the case of college students based on the reason of SW implementation theme selection, selection method, and preference theme. As a result, the students were mainly influenced by their interests and teachers in the reason of topic selection, and they showed higher preference in game and storytelling subject area. We hope that this research will be reflected in balanced SW education contents design according to learner level in the future.

This study aims to analyze the word based classification used in U.S. public libraries and their implications for Korean libraries. For this purpose, eleven U.S. public libraries using the word based classification system were selected and the specific classification types, their motivation, collection size, methods used in the conversion from DDC, and pros and cons were examined. The result of the analysis shows that the word based classification system may be categorized into the two types: Dewey-free or Dewey-lite and its application methods are different case by case. As a result, the positive impacts and implied problems of the word based classification system for library use and library operation were examined. In addition, the new system's implications on the Korean libraries were also discussed.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the currently operating subject guides in academic libraries and to suggest measures for improvements of them. To do this, 22 out of 151 academic libraries which have more than 1,000 enrolled college students in the university and two institutes of science and technology were selected and the libraries were analyzed according to 12 criteria. The main results of the data analysis were as follows: First, the subject guides did not clearly indicate which service tool to use. Second, there was a difference in the subject guide format in the same academic library. Third, libraries tried to provide a lot of information sources on the subject guides without considering users' needs. By offering many kinds of information sources, students had to choose the information sources they needed. Improvement plans are: First, it is necessary to develop the subject guide of the college courses. Second, Content-based subject guides are necessary through standardized format. Third, it is necessary to unify the name of menu of information resource. Fourth, the number of information sources included in the subject guides should be minimized. Fifth, it is necessary to establish a cooperation system between academic libraries to develop the subject guides.

본 연구에서는 텍스트 네트워크분석을 활용하여 국방분야 연구의 핵심 주제어와 연구주제를 분석하고 이를 통해 전체 지식구조를 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2010년부터 2017년까지의 국방대학교 학위과정 논문을 대상으로 국방분야 연구현황을 진단하고 지식구조를 구성하였다. 8년간 누적된 논문 710건의 초록을 분석하여 총 6,883개의 단어를 추출한 후, 단어의 논문 등장 빈도수와 단어간 링크수를 파레토 법칙에 따라 상위 20%의 기준으로 총 270개의 단어로 추출하였고, 컴포넌트 분석을 통해 최종 170개의 핵심 주제어를 도출하였다. 이 핵심 주제어를 통해 중심성 분석과 응집구조를 분석하여, 국방분야에 대한 총 6개의 지식구조 그룹을 도출하였다.

어린이 그림책의 효과적인 주제접근을 위해서는 주제명의 부여가 필수적이다. 그러나 어린이 그림책은 표제나 목차 등 자료 자체에서 주제명을 발췌하기가 어렵다. 또한 일반도서를 위한 주제명표를 그대로 사용하기도 적합하지 않다. 이에 본 연구에서는 어린이 그림책을 위한 별도의 주제명표를 개발하였다. 주제명표 개발을 위해서는 영미권의 그림책 주제명표를 참고하였으며, 이 과정에서 우리 문화와 언어에 맞도록 기존의 표목을 수정.추가하였다. 또한 그림책의 주요 독자층인 어린이에게 적합한 표목을 선정하기 위해 초등국어사전 등을 참고하였다. 그리고 시범적으로 구축된 주제명표를 어린이도서연구회의 추천그림책을 대상으로 적용하였다. 앞으로는 지속적인 주제명 부여 작업을 통해 주제명표를 정련하고, 그림책의 주제분석을 위한 지침을 추가적으로 제공할 필요가 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the association among the subject areas of big data research papers. The subject group of the units of analysis was extracted by applying co-citation networks, and the rules of association were analyzed using Apriori algorithm of R program, and visualized using the arulesViz package of R program. As a result of the study, 22 subject areas were extracted and these subjects were divided into three clusters. As a result of analyzing the association type of the subject, it was classified into 'professional type', 'general type', 'expanded type' depending on the complexity of association. The professional type included library and information science and journalism. The general type included politics & diplomacy, trade, and tourism. The expanded types included other humanities, general social sciences, and general tourism. This association networks show a tendency to cite other subject areas that are relevant when citing a subject field, and the library should consider services that use the association for academic information services.
