Relationship between Job Stress, Social Support and Subjective Well-being among Private Security Guard (시큐리티 요원의 직무스트레스와 사회적 지지 및 주관적 안녕감의 관계)

  • This study is to test the relationship between job stress, social support and subjective well-being among security guard. 420 members of private security companies in Seoul were selected. Total 356 copies were picked up as the final sample. In conclusion, First, job stress among the private security guard have an effect on the social support. In other words, even though their role and personal relationship put them under a lot of stress, social support is high. while the more stress of duty they have, the lower social support is. Second, job stress among the private security guard have an effect on the subjective well-being. That is to say, the more stress of duty they have, the lower subjective well-being is. Third, social support has an effect on the subjective well~being. Namely, the more social support by neighbor and family is, the higher subjective well-being is. Forth, job stress has a direct or indirect effects social support and subjective well-being in meal or in malt.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare stress, empathy, and communication in stress coping group and non-coping group. The data collected using questionnaires from nursing students. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and Pearson correlation with SPSS 23.0 version. Significantly lower scores for stress (mean, 2.42 vs. 2.97; p=.000), and higher scores for communication (mean 3.33 vs. 3.21; p=.008) were observed in the stress coping group compared with the non-coping group. Further studies need to development and application a program that enhances subjective stress coping methods.

Research on the Effects of Entrepreneurship of Enterpriser on Subjective Well-being: Focusing on job stress factors and relationship (경영자의 기업가정신이 주관적 웰빙에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 직무스트레스 요인과 관계성을 중심으로)

  • Academic research on entrepreneurship has long been studied in various fields, but research on the relationship between entrepreneurship and subjective well-being is insufficient. This study aims to examine how challenge and hindrance stress affect subjective well-being in the impact of entrepreneurship on subjective well-being in the enterpriser of domestic company, and to determine whether the relationship among the individual characteristics of self-determination factors in this relationship has a mediating effect. According to research results, First, entrepreneurship had a positive effect on challenge stress and subjective well-being, while hindrance stress had an effect of negative. Second, challenge stress had a positive effect on relationships and subjective well-being had a positive influence but was insufficient and hindrance stress had a negative effect on both relational and subjective well-being. Third, Challenge stress and hindrance stress both influenced positive on subjective well-being through relationships. When you summarize the results of the research, It has been confirmed that the entrepreneurship of enterpriser effects subjective well-being, that hindrance stress is a factor that can interfere with subjective well-being, and that relationships play an important role in enhance subjective well-being of enterpriser. Based on these findings, conclusions were discussed and implications and directions for follow-up research were presented.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the association between industrial workers' job stress and oral health related quality of life and subjective happiness. The subjects of this study were 228 workers, from August 8 to September 2, 2016, research tool was the structured, anonymous, self-administrated questionnaire. The data were analyzed by SPSSWIN 18.0, t-test and one way ANOVA, Scheffe' post hoc test, Pearson correlation and Hierarchial multiple regression. Negative correlation was found between job stress and OHIP-14 and between job stress and subjective happiness and positive correlation was found between OHIP-14 and subjective happiness. As for the explanatory power of the independent variables affecting subjective happiness, gender, self-reported living status, self-reported general health, dental checkups, and job stress were significant variables. It is therefore necessary to run an industrial oral intervention program on a regular basis and cope positively with stress with the objective of helping workers improve their subjective happiness.

The Influence of Perceived Stress on Subjective Well-being: The Mediating Effect of Resilience and Spiritual Experience (기독대학생의 지각된 스트레스가 주관적 웰빙에 미치는 영향: 회복탄력성과 영적 경험의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze mediating effect of resilience and daily spiritual experiences in the relationship of stress situations and subjective well-being of Christian college students. The subjects of this study were 157 Christian college students in a certain University which is located in Seoul, and mediating effect were analyzed through structural equation model. As a result of the analysis, first, there was a significant negative correlation between perceived stress and subject well-being. Second, resilience and spiritual experience had a full mediating effect on the relationship of perceived stress and subjective well-being. Third, in the relationship of perceived stress and subjective well-being, indirect effect through resilience has a greater mediating effect than spiritual daily experience. Implications of these results were concluded that spiritual daily experience of Christian college students is a significant variable in terms of stress and happiness. Apart from spiritual experience, however, resilience also could be a very important variable that mediates stress and happiness for Christian college students. In addition, suggestions for future research were discussed.

A Study on the Mediation Effects of Depression and Self-efficacy on College Students' Stress and Subjective Happiness (대학생의 스트레스가 주관적 행복에 미치는 영향 -우울과 자기효능감의 매개효과를 중심으로-)

  • This study aims to verify the structured relationship between college students' stress and their stress in the meditating depression and self-efficacy. Findings of the research are summarized as follows. The study looked into how stress would directly affect depression and self-efficacy. It was found that the stress would have immediate effects on depression and self-efficacy. In addition, it was noticed that stress indirectly influences college students' subjective happiness in meditating factors of depression and self-efficacy. After the investigation on the immediate effects of depression in relation to the self-efficacy, results of the study indicated that depression has an immediate negative influence on the self-efficacy. Self-efficacy appeared to affect subjective happiness positively and directly. However, its indirect effects on the subjective happiness was confirmed. Although the study failed to find any direct influence of the stress on subjective happiness, it was learned that stress causes an indirect effect through the meditating factors of depression and self-efficacy. In conclusion, the study suggests that subjective happiness can be improved by stress and depression relaxation, and improvement of self-efficacy.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the degree of academic stress, subjective happiness, and cognitive flexibility of nursing students, and to identify the mediating effect of cognitive flexibility between learning stress and subjective happiness. The subject of the study was 186 nursing students from a university in J City. The data collection period was from October 4 to October 23, 2023, and the data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0. The results of the study showed a significant correlation between academic stress, cognitive flexibility, and subjective happiness among nursing students, and it was found that cognitive flexibility partially mediated the relationship between academic stress and subjective happiness. Therefore, in order to improve the subjective well-being of nursing students, it is necessary to develop and apply programs that can reduce academic stress and increase cognitive flexibility.

A Convergence Study of the Influence of Grateful disposition and Subjective well-being on Stress coping of College students (대학생의 감사성향과 주관적 안녕감이 스트레스 대처에 미치는 영향의 융복합적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of grateful disposition and subjective well-being on stress coping of college students in the convergence society. The participants were 336 college students, data were analyzed using t-test, Pearson Correlation, Multiple regression. It was found that: nursing students showed higher score at grateful disposition, life satisfaction, and positive stress coping than non-nursing students. 2nd grade students's grateful disposition, and negative stress coping score were significantly higher than non-nursing students. Significant correlation were found among grateful disposition and subjective well-being on stress coping. The factors influencing stress coping were grateful disposition, and positive affect. Therefore some effective way to enhance of subjective well-being and grateful disposition through various educational curriculum and extra-curricular activities are needed.

  • The purpose of this research Is to clarify the relationship between leisure activity participation, job stress, social support and subjective well-being among security agents. 356 (92%) questionnaires were obtained from 12 private security companiesin metropolitan Seoul. The conclusion follows. First, the frequency of participation in activities on the subjective well-being reflects the direct influence. and period by participating in the job stress on the subjective well-being reported more negative affect, in other words, Job Stress is reduced, social support and subjective well-being is increased. Second, job stress has a negative effect as a parameter to subjective well-being and participation in the period, in other words, subjective well-being is decreased by the more get job stress. Third, social support affects the subjective well-being, leisure activity participation and social support that have no relationship, In other words, subjective well-being is increased by the more get social support. Fourth, frequency and duration of participation in leisure activity directly and indirectly affects to subjective well-being. increasing the frequency of participation activities make that subjective Well-being is increased, increasing the participation period makes that job stress is reduced, job stress reduction make that subjective well-being is increased, and increasing the social support makes that subjective well-being is increased.

Association between Perceived Periodontal Status and Sexual Function in Adult Men (성인 남성의 주관적 치주건강상태와 성기능의 관련성)

  • The aim of this study was to investigate the association between perceived periodontal status and sexual function among adult men. Three hundred thirty adult male participated in this study living at Changwon and Jinju. All the participants surveyed the socio-demographic characteristics, perceived periodontal status, stress, and international index of erectile function (IIEF) using self-administrated questionnaire. The univariate and multivariate analyze were adapted to access the crude and adjusted associations using PASW Statistics 18.0. In univariate analysis, there were significant differences between perceived periodontal status and IIEF and most of socio-demographic characteristics (p<0.05), but no significant differences between stress and all of socio-demographic characteristics (p>0.05). The sexual function was negatively correlated with perceived periodontal status (r=-0.228, p<0.001) and stress (r=-0.257, p<0.001), respectively. In multivariate analysis, perceived periodontal status was significantly associated with sexual function (b=-0.889, p=0.030) after adjusting for socio-demographic characteristics and stress. Therefore, it is found that perceived periodontal status negatively influenced on sexual function in adult men.
