A self-administered questionnaires survey was administered to 975 middle school students in Gyeongin area during the period from May 1st to June 30th, 2013. As a result, the suicide ideation of respondents turned out to be significantly higher in the following groups: females, experience of smoking, experience of alcohol drinking, of which the self-recognized body type was fatty, with out regular eating, poor subjective health status, poor home atmosphere, low family life satisfaction, lower school grade, poor relationship with friends, school violence experienced, school life dissatisfaction, severe hopelessness, severe distress, and depression. This study attempted to identify the entrance exam stress levels in high school students and analyze the relationship this entrance exam stress and perceived oral health status. Self-administered survey was conducted in total 304 students attending in academic high schools in Bucheon. For analysis, SPSS was used to perform t-test and one-way ANOVA. As a result of the study, the entrance exam stress level of academic high school students was 2.71. The level of sub-factors were that tension for exam/poor result was highest by 3.08 and the next were future uncertainty (2.81), parents pressure (2.56), and insufficient free time (2.52). The group with high entrance exam stress showed significantly high perceived degrees of temporomandibular disorder, oral mucosal disease and xerostama. Among sub-factors of stress, the group with high tension for exam/poor result stress had significantly high perceived degrees of dental caries, teporomandibular disorder, oral mucosal disease and xerostama. Because perception on oral health issues increased with high entrance exam stress in high school students, it is necessary to seek some ways to decrease oral health problems even though entrance exam stress is intensified. To do so, it is inferred that it will be very important to promote oral health education to develop ability of high school students to practice correct oral management method.

In 2016, the number of suicides per 100,000 population in Korea was 24.6, which is the highest record of OECD countries. The number of suicide deaths increased with age. Elderly people have a higher risk of completed suicide than any other age group. The purpose of this study was to analyze the panel data of the Korean Welfare Panel Study to identify the factors affecting the suicide of Korean older people. This study analyzed the data of the 11th Korean Welfare Panel Study, which was constructed in 2016. The mean age of the participants was 75.55 years and 37% were man and 63% were women. The annual prevalence of suicidal ideation was 3.4%. The effects of depression(Exp(B)=1.113) and subjective health status((Exp(B)=.767) on suicidal ideation was statistically significant by stepwise logistic regression analysis(Nagelkerke $R^2=.248$). Therefore, for the effective application of suicide prevention program for the older people, assessment of subjective health status and depression screening should be preceded.

This study was conducted in order to test a model in relation to active coping strategy, academic resilience, and subjective happiness in college students. Also, sought to test the mediating effects of academic resilience in the relationship between active coping strategy and subjective happiness. Data was collected through a self-report questionnaire which was administered to 400 college students. Correlational analysis and structure equation modeling analysis were conducted to test the research models. The results were as follows: First, as the level of active coping strategy increased, the level of academic resilience and subjective happiness increased. Second, as the level of academic resilience increased, the level of subjective happiness increased. Third, the model with active coping strategy as a prophetic variable, academic resilience as a mediating variable, and subjective happiness as a result variable showed a full mediating effect. Thus, although active coping strategy has no direct influence on subjective happiness, it has an indirect effect on subjective happiness by enhancing academic resilience. The results of this study are expected to provide basic data on research and education for the improvement of happiness in college students and to help them develop educational counseling and training programs for improving their happiness and adapting to college life.

The levels of psychosocial stresses and fatigue of firemen were analyzed to reveal the various factors related to them. The self-administered questionnaires were performed to 262 firemen ill Cheonsju City. In terms of various levels of psychosocial stresses, 12.2% were under potential stresses, 87.8% were under high-level of stress, but healthy group was not found. The levels of fatigue symptoms divided by the median of total scores was 51.1% of low levels, and 48.9% of high levels. Multiple stepwise analysis revealed that the factors or influence on psychosocial stresses with explanatory powers of 11.5% included subjective health status, job satisfaction, job demand and alcohol drinking habits. The factors of influence on fatigue symptoms with explanatory powers of 9.0% included subjective health and regular exercises. The study results indicate that the level of stress or fatigue is so complicatedly influenced by variable factors. Thus the effective strategy for stress and fatigue reduction among firemen should include additional programs focusing on health promotion.
