Runoff Characteristics of NPS in small watershed (소하천에서의 비점오염원 유출특성)

  • 호소의 수질오염 문제를 해결하기 위해선 우선 소하천에서 강우유출에 의한 비점오염물질이 어디서 얼마나 발생하는지에 대한 정량적인 조사가 필요하다. 그러나 유역의 오염원에 대한 정량적인 조사가 이루어지려면 많은 비용과 시간 그리고 노력이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대청호 상류유역의 소하천인 안내천을 대상으로 강우유출수 조사를 실시하고, 높은 예측 정확성 때문에 세계적으로 널리 쓰이고 있는 Long-Term Hydrologic Impact Assessment(L-THIA)을 이용하여 실측데이터와 L-THIA 모델의 결과를 비교하였다. 안내천의 유역면적은 16.5 $km^2$로 유역의 약 69.5%가 산림, 농업 및 초지지역이 25.3% 그리고 주거지역이 2.6%로 조사되었다. 수질분석을 위하여 자동수질시료채취기(ISCO sampler 6712)를 설치하여 시간단위의 시료를 채취한 뒤 수질농도를 측정하였다. 수질항목은 유기물질인 $BOD_5$, TOC, T-N, T-P 항목에 대하여 수질오염 공정시험법으로 분석하였다. WHAT 시스템을 이용하여 분리된 직접유출량은 315.5~161,835.1 $m^3$의 범위로 나타났다. 직접유출량을 이용하여 산정한 유역의 EMC 농도는 안내천 유역의 $EMC_{BOD}$는 1.0~2.4 mg/L, $EMC_{TOC}$는 1.429~5.491 mg/L, $EMC_{COD}$는 2.2~10.2 mg/L, $EMC_{TN}$은 2.906~10.864 mg/L, $EMC_{TP}$는 0.029~0.285 mg/L의 범위를 보였다. 또한 실측된 유량과 농도를 이용하여 산정한 오염부하는 안내천 유역이 $BOD_5$ 37.9~390.9 g, $COD_{Mn}$ 0.8~1,657.5 g, TOC 0.54~791.83 g, T-N 0.968~1,758.174 g, T-P 0.011~42.139 g의 범위로 나타났다. L-THIA 모델을 이용하여 직접유출량의 산정된 결과와 실측 결과를 비교 분석한 결과 결정계수와 유효지수가 0.95와 0.93으로 높게 나타나 대청호 상류유역에서 발생하는 유출량을 모의하는데 적절할 것으로 판단된다. 토지이용도와 토양도 그리고 일 강우자료만으로 구축되는 L-THIA 모델을 이용하여 대청호 상류의 소하천 유역에 대하여 비점오염원 유출특성을 해석하는 것이 가능 할 것으로 판단된다.

Characteristics for the Distribution of Elderly Population by Utilizing the Census Data (센서스 데이터를 활용한 고령인구 분포 특성)

  • After city of Busan has been entered to the aging society in 2000, the city has the highest aging rate among 7 representative cities in 2011. Moreover, while entire population and number of average household are decreasing, over 65 years old of elderly population is rapidly increasing. So, it is possible to enter the super-aged society, where aging rate would be about 20% after 2020. The purpose of this study is that older housing-related analysis is consisted of dong-unit, and this led microscopic analysis has become necessary. Surveys from 2000 through 2010, census aggregate (output area) unit of spatial analysis was conducted. Take advantages of this, aging population and area, soaring area, high-density areas, such as the region of interest were primary extracted, and microscopic location and spatial distribution patterns were analyzed. Upon analysis, aging population is concentrated in the city and adjacent area, the highlands, and 10 years of increasing rate was more than 30 times in certain aggregate. Regarding the characteristic of these areas, the original city center, Busan, especially concentrated and intensified in aging population. Also, 2000 to 2010, the overall distribution pattern of Busan has identified aging population that is increasingly being distributed. This is the result, which is confronted with previous research result. Entering a super aged-society for the future is accordance with migration of social costs and improve the quality of life of elderly. And this could be the basic information to use the spatial dimension for the corresponding.

  • Traditionally,, analysis, simulation and measurement have all been used to evaluate the performance of network protocols and functional entities that support mobile wireless service. Simulation methods are useful for testing the complex systems which have the very complicate interactions between components. To develop a mobile call simulator which is used to examine, validate, and predict the performance of mobile wireless call procedures must have the teletraffic model, which is to describe the mobile communication environments. Mobile teletraffic model is consists of 2 sub-models, traffic source and network traffic model. In this paper, we analyzed the network traffic data which are gathered from selected Base Stations (BSs) to define the mobile teletraffic model. We defined 4 types of cell location-Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Afforest zone. We selected some Base Stations (BSs) which are represented cell location types in Seoul city, and gathered real data from them And then, we present the call rate per hour, cail distribution pattern per day, busy hours, loose hours, the maximum number of call, and the minimum number of calls based on defined cell location types. Those parameters are very important to test the mobile communication system´s performance and reliability and are very useful for defining the mobile network traffic model or for working the existed mobile simulation programs as input parameters.

Runoff Characteristics of Non-Point Source Pollutants in Storm Event -Case Study on the Upstream and Downstream of Kokseong River, Korea- (강우시 비점오염물질의 유출특성에 관한 연구 -곡성천 상.하류를 대상으로-)

  • The study was investigated to runoff characteristics of non-point pollutants according to rainfall in Kokseong river watershed. The result of which is as follows : First of all, major reason which affect the formation of water quality of Kokseong River is judged to be caused by non-point pollution source which flows out from farmland and residential area. Flow of rainfall effluent in the downstream in which direct flow components of urban district and combined sewer overflows of farmland was intervened faster than that in the upstream reacted more promptly. Generation of pollutants by non-point source shows increasing trend in general in accordance with the increase in the intensity of rainfall but it was affected by SS, BOD, COD and T-P in the upstream part whereas BOD, COD and T-N were significantly affected by beginning period of rainfall in the downstream. EMC in the downstream increased approximately 3-315 times as compared to upstream, particularly the discharge of SS5 and T-P were extremely increased. While surface flow out of rainfall effluent in the upstream was only 4.7%, the surface flow in the downstream took up as much as 29%, which was major reason for the increase of EMC. From the above contents, we can see that the change in water quality according to the increase and decrease of effluent at the time of rainfall showed very complex pattern depending on the type of land use, and it is judged that the most important thing for the administration of non-point pollution source is to come up with the solution for the reduction of effluent at the beginning.

A Study on the Characteristics of Spatial Structure of Jiangnan Watertown(水鄕鎭) in China - Focusing on Wuzhen and Nanxun in Zhejiang Province - (중국 강남 수향진의 수변공간 특성 연구 - 절강성 오진과 남심을 사례로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify characteristics of spatial structure of Jiangnan water town in China which has been developed along the water channel. Spatial structural characteristics of the water town, Wuzhen and Nanxun in Zhejiang Province are as follows. First, location of town, spatial framework, lot division, and architectural style get determined by the water channel. The water channel is constructed in cross shape, T-shape, or in combination. Secondly, public space of water town is established along main water channel. Visually and functionally alternating private buildings are established on the water channel side and they are creating unique landscape of Jiangnan water town in overall harmony. Thirdly, residential area is established on the east-west water channel side with southward sunny-faced arrangement and waterside residence is in introvert spatial structure with courtyard but the exterior space is connected with water channel intimately. Fourthly, various spatial components along the water channel enrich the sense of place in water town. The components are corridor with roof, tea house, waterside steps, waterside theater and watergate etc. Uniqueness of place is becoming the core competence in modern townscape. In this aspect, Jiangnan water town with historical and cultural accumulation is suggesting a significant implication. Major implications are as follows. First, promotion of proximity to the water is the basic value that the spatial plan of waterfront needs to pursue. Secondly, mixed use is essential for effective land use and revitalization of waterfront. Thirdly, waterfront plan based on the local uniqueness as the place asset is being required.

A Study on Determinants for Apartment Remodeling in Seoul Metropolitan Area (아파트 리모델링을 위한 의사결정 요인에 관한 연구 - 서울 및 경기 수도권을 중심으로 -)

  • If aging apartments are left unimproved through remodeling, the city will be eventually slum. As the government recognizes remodeling as an alternative to reconstruction, the law has been revised mainly to increase the housing area, increase the number of house and allow the vertical extension for making remodeling costs. However, the remodeling is still not activated yet in the market. Therefore, this study analyzes the decision factors of apartment remodeling in Seoul metropolitan area based on Heckman two-stage analysis considering sampling error. Research findings indicate that the decision for remodeling is determined by the characteristics of the household, housing, and time-lapse variables. And also the number of household members, net assets, housing satisfaction, the 11-20, 21-30, and more than 30 years of building are identified as the significant variables as a result of remodeling choice probability analysis. It is noteworthy that the significant variables from then remodeling cost analysis are net assets, area, more than 30 years of building, and unit housing price. It is also notable that the policy, which extend the housing area to cover remodeling cost, are not actually effective to activate the remodeling, and the age in the case of elderly people in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do who are expected to have high net assets and income is not significant variables. This study is expected to provide more objective and reliable implication to the policy makers, the home owner and the investors on the decision making process related to the remodeling project.

A Study on the Forecasting Trend of Apartment Prices: Focusing on Government Policy, Economy, Supply and Demand Characteristics (아파트 매매가 추이 예측에 관한 연구: 정부 정책, 경제, 수요·공급 속성을 중심으로)

  • Despite the influence of real estate in the Korean asset market, it is not easy to predict market trends, and among them, apartments are not easy to predict because they are both residential spaces and contain investment properties. Factors affecting apartment prices vary and regional characteristics should also be considered. This study was conducted to compare the factors and characteristics that affect apartment prices in Seoul as a whole, 3 Gangnam districts, Nowon, Dobong, Gangbuk, Geumcheon, Gwanak and Guro districts and to understand the possibility of price prediction based on this. The analysis used machine learning algorithms such as neural networks, CHAID, linear regression, and random forests. The most important factor affecting the average selling price of all apartments in Seoul was the government's policy element, and easing policies such as easing transaction regulations and easing financial regulations were highly influential. In the case of the three Gangnam districts, the policy influence was low, and in the case of Gangnam-gu District, housing supply was the most important factor. On the other hand, 6 mid-lower-level districts saw government policies act as important variables and were commonly influenced by financial regulatory policies.

  • In the modern society, the number of people in disaster vulnerable groups is rapidly increasing such as the elderly, the disabled, foreigners, and children. The common characteristics of the groups vulnerable to disasters are that they live in residence types that are exposed to disasters because they are impoverished and if they are exposed to disasters, recovery is a slow process. The purpose of this study is to identify the new risk issues by performing risk issue analysis on the targets of disaster vulnerable group and provide base data for the development of the policies. For the research method, this study centered on the cases of children and pregnant women out of the disaster vulnerable groups and focused on the issue data of social media throughout the past 10 years ('10~'19) and performed social network analysis. As a result, first, the development of the issue showed relevance in the occurrence of specific cases. Second, the awareness about the types, targets, and management method of crisis management was analyzed. Third, an analysis was performed on the sentiment words that considered the solution measures of risk issues or the characteristics of the targets and it was analyzed that there were word that triggered negative emotions. Therefore, it is anticipated for the base data to be used for the government and also for the local government to build an effective crisis management system of the rapidly changing disaster environment on the basis of the sentiment analysis performed on the people of the nation as well as public awareness.

A Study on the Influence of Elderly Household Characteristics on Housing Consumption according to Public Pension Receipt (중·고령자 가구의 소득의 특성이 주택소비규모에 미치는 영향: 공적연금수령유무를 중심으로)

  • According to Statistics Korea, South Korea has entered the realm of the "aging society" with the rapid development of the country's population. Researchers anticipate that the extremely high (73%) ratio of real estate property to total assets for mid-age to aged households in South Korea that do not have a fixed income may cause serious problems in the future. For example, the real estate market in South Korea may be bombarded with properties listed for sale, causing the average property price to drop due to the abundant supply. Although this prediction may be reasonable, this concept has excluded the idea of pension (which is crucial as it can be considered a consistent and fixed income) due to the limited amount of available data thereon; as such, it is important to include this factor to improve the pertinent research. Thus, this research was conducted using the data from the $3^{rd}$ and $5^{th}$ Korea Retirement and Income Study. For the study results, it was found that variables such as net asset, gender, education, and number of family members have the same impact as that found in the previous studies. To extend from here, two new factors were introduced: the existence of pensions and the amount of pension received by a household. From there, it was found that the existence of a consistent and fixed income such as a pension has led to an increase in housing consumption, the area of interest of the authors.

Vitalization of Ecological, Scenic, Participative aspects of Urban Agriculture - Focusing on Population Characteristics and Individual Recognitions - (생태, 경관, 참여 측면의 도시농업 활성화 방안 모색 - 인구집단 특성과 개인의 주관적 인식 분석을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically investigate the experiences and subjective opinions of urban agriculture in order to explore ways to vitalize urban agriculture. More specifically, we divides environmental value into three categories of ecology, landscape, and participation, and defines a function of urban agriculture to improve environmental values related to the three categories mentioned above. The main results of the empirical analysis using the survey data are summarized as follows. First, the probability of gathering information about urban agriculture is higher in metropolitan cities than small cities, and the larger the residence size, the higher the probability of actual urban agriculture participation. Second, the positive response rate was high for the three categories of urban agriculture, while the negative response rate was high for the surrounding environment. The implications derived from the analysis are as follows. First, the opposite results of experiences of urban agriculture suggests that local governments should further promote urban agriculture-based investment policies. In addition, these policies need to be preceded by analysis of the characteristics of population groups in the region Also, it is necessary to improve the environment through urban agriculture.
