Housing is a cultural tool which enables one to see through a certain generation, and the types of housing in a specific cultural area are both physical and spiritual results formed by life activities. Therefore, housing, the center area for the human life, is a bowl, putting various meanings of life into the complicated environment. Its formal and spacial variety is a result of interaction in human life. This study analyzes fundamental problems and characteristics of asian traditional housing by comparing those in city of Seoul and Shang-hai. From the results of this study, many differences have been found in traditional housing in Seoul and Shanghai despite of high similarity m culture and ideology. This results from a same Confucian culture that accepts the feng shui theory which has evolved through different environments. Therefore, this study aims to understand housing cultures in two cities by analysing the attributes of housing data from selected traditional housing types in Seoul and Shanghai. Also, issues of fundamental characteristics of the two cities through the development of residential environment are studied to provide important data for the future development of housing environment of both cities.

In this study, an examination and an analysis are carried out on the forms and components of the access spaces of hotel entrances from the front gate of five star hotels in Jejudo, Korea. The results of the study are as follows. In terms of the arrangement of the hotel, city hotels with a relatively narrow site area are influenced by site shape, while resort hotels with a relatively wide site area are affected by the environment. However, the location of the front gate was determined by the access road from the outside. Therefore, forms of access space are related to the front gate, which is governed by the access road, and to the entrance, which is determined by the hotel arrangement. If the front gate is in line with the hotel entrance, a straight line and the hotel are arranged vertically to the front gate(side arrangement) or the hotel is arranged horizontally to the front gate, but if the entrance is not in line with the front gate, it appears as a curved shape. However, those who use their own cars have a variety of choices for access route depending on the location of the parking lot.

Housing may be construed as a place where people are settled for living, namely, family members make a home and a place, where all human living is grounded. Also, the common housing type of a certain time reflects the living of the time. With the advent of the lifestyle of a new social class attaching importance to the multi-purpose of act and function, complexity, and convenience from the 21st century, people required a housing space where work, rest, living, and recreational activities are overlapped, fused, and integrated on the axes of space and time. In addition, along with the expansion of network and digital convergence from a social perspective, the appearance of new businesses, products, and business models affects the life and culture of consumers, which leads to the destruction of the borders and spheres throughout society. Thus, the study analyzed the characteristics of the spatial organizational type of collective housing in Japanese cities since the 1990s and withdrew the organizational type of each room in order to identify the uniquely differentiated characteristics of Japanese housing.

The construction of settlement house in a permanent rental housing development area started between 1989 and 1992, planning of supplying two hundred fifty thousand residences, settlement house became compulsory as a welfare facilities. As a part of Welfare program for low income families, number of settlement housing increased dramatically, also domiciliary welfare center was beginning to set up as a branch of settlement housing to strengthen its service towards families and local communities, thus numerous social welfare organizations play a crucial part in resolving a welfare problem for low income families while satisfying local community's needs. However, despite of these efforts, the number if institutions cannot handle demand of local community's needs and number of welfare institution programs. as a solution, the alternation of space is being used, however, it did not solve basic problem, even worsen in terms of space efficiency.

This research tried to observe transition quality of unit plan for public space Korea public operated house since the 1950s. Plane of public-operated house had continually accommodated lifestyle change until present from the late 1950s. "Frontward 3 urface unit 3LDK'composition plans become settle by the representative plane after the 1990s. The process that with special quality change of public space the relation is deep. it is proposed consequently to analyze the space special quality change of the public operated house unit plan style.

The purpose of this study is to examine how Korean changed and applied the railway official residence space constructed by the Japanese, when they occupied these railway official residence space after liberation from Japan, and specify the relationship between the life culture and residence space by analysing the differance in important life style, as well as element of change in important residence spaces according to modernization. In addition, this study was carried out by means of research on the form and pattern, visual anthropological method by photograph and direct observation.The result of this study is summarized as fellows. The residence space at Kyounaju constructed by the Japanese on the basis of the culture has been changed and applied to the life style of the Korean when the Korean occupied these Japanese style residence space.Then, it seems that the change of the Japanese style residence was caused by both differance in the life pattern between Korea and Japan, and the medernization of the life.

This study aims at modeling the compositional method in the architectural space and shape. The composition of space is composed of the position and the area in space. Therefore these elements are established to the functional program applied at the behavioral data. The element of spatial structure is position and scale in space, and the composition of spatial shape is developed repitionally to the combination of build-up method. The functional program is being expertised and the scale in building being lager, the importance of functional program is increased. Applied at data of the functional program at spatial structure, the process is developed to the method of combination. The purpose of this study is approached at the degree of application in modeling on the compositional method in architectural space and shape, which is a fundamental aspect on the quantitative analysis of architectural space.

The behavioral-related environmental study for multifamily housing is needed to develop the quality of unit floor plan in terms of user comfort and needs. So, the aim of this study is to find out the living style and housing needs in terms of interaction between the users behavior pattern and orgarnization of physical home space. For the purpose, the field experiments in Pusan, have been carried out with 318 households living in apartments by plan types(2BL, 3BL, 4BL, 5BL) which were classified by number of bedrooms. The dwelling space usage behavior(room use pattern and furniture uasge pattern) and the space adjustment behavior(physical modification of space and preferred space adjustment attitude) were examined and analyzed.

The purpose of this study is to establish concept about a plan direction of preschooler's library, and provide a design type of preschooler's library. As a result, the following findings were obtained: 1) For the preschooler's reading area, it should be segregated between schooler and preschooler. Because there is a difference between a library use action and a development characteristic, it needs to be segregated to avoid conflict using library for both of those groups. 2) The space composition of preschooler's library stands up, and of a tube considers a traffic line of a user according to the function and systematizes a child, and to cause an interest of preschoolers. 3) Furnitures and equipment of preschooler's library must arrange in consideration of human body size of a user in a tube.

일반주거지역의 FTTC 구축을 위해 ONU의 설치를 위한 옥외형 캐비넷이 요구되며, 이에 따른 설치공간 확보와 효율적인 전원공급 문제가 주요 이슈로 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 수용 가입자 수가 대략 30회선 정도이며 전주나 벽면에 설치되는 PON 방식의 소형 ONU를 위한 전원공급 해결안으로 공유급전방안과 개발된 각각의 구성요소(광동복합케이블, 전원시스템, 파워노드 캐비넷, 파워노드 감시시스템)에 대해 서술하였다.
