  • According to the development of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC), its mechanical performance have been known as superior than normal and/or high performance concrete. However, its construction and structural safety must have studied with revisions and supplements. In this study, tests have been performed on UHPC precast segment joint with different levels of joint types and lateral forces under direct shear. From the results of the experimental tests, it can be concluded that the properties of the referred joints are significant for the resistance of shear behavior, and the increase of lateral force in these joints may suggest as critical lateral stress on that behavior.

자율주행 자동차의 전기적 파워 조향 시스템을 위한 제어 기법의 개관

  • 운전자에게 편의성을 제공하는 차량의 주행관련 Advanced driver assist system (ADAS)에는 차량의 종방향과 횡방향 운동에 대한 제어기가 요구된다. 횡방향 제어를 위해서는 조향 시스템의 조향각 제어가 요구되는데 최근 구조적으로 간단하고 연비향상, 차량의 중량 감소, 빠른 응답성을 가지고 있는 전기적 파워 조향 (Electric power steering, EPS) 시스템이 자동차 산업에서 널리 사용되고 있다. 차량의 주행관련 ADAS를 사용하여 자율 주행 시 EPS 시스템은 상위 제어기에서 계산된 필요한 조향각을 추종 할 수 있도록 조향 핸들의 각 제어를 해야 한다. 그러나 일반적인 EPS 시스템은 운전자가 조향 핸들에 인가된 토크를 보조해 줄 수 있는 토크를 출력해 준다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하는 방법들을 설명한다. 먼저 EPS 시스템의 기본 기능에 대해서 설명을 하고, 자율 추행 차량을 위한 조항 핸들의 각 제어를 위한 proportional-integral 제어, 슬라이딩 모드 제어 (Sliding mode control), 관측기 기반 비선형 댐핑 제어(Observer based nonlinear damping control) 등과 같은 다양한 기법의 제어 알고리즘들에 대한 방법들이 고찰되었다.

Flexural Capacity and Non-Linear Characteristic Evaluation of Circular Column Confined by Carbon Sheet Tube (카본시트튜브로 구속된 원형기둥의 휨내력 및 비선형 특성에 대한 연구)

  • Six full scale column specimens have been tested under the constant axial and cyclic lateral load. An equivalent stress block parameter was used to estimate flexural capacity of columns confined by carbon sheet tube. Through the non-linear regression analysis, behaviors of CFCST(Concrete Filled Carbon Sheet Tube) columns under the cyclic lateral load were estimated and compared with test results.

  • Performance evaluation exposing the performance of structure is affected by the material and structural characteristics. these should be necessary for the analysis about the effect of structure performance. Thus, to evaluate the structural performance affected the material properties and structural characteristics, firstly it is conducted the eigenvalues analysis and non-linear static analysis of the structure, secondly it is analyzed the performance influence factor of the structure. The performance influence factors affecting the performance of structure divided into five classes(strength of concrete, longitudinal and transverse reinforcement, aspect ratio, axial force). From the result of analysis about the change of performance influence factor, the more the strength of concrete is increasing, the more the maximum shear force is increasing and the yield displacement is not changed, the more longitudinal reinforce is increasing, the more yield displacement and the maximum basis shear force is increasing, the more the transverse reinforce is increasing, the change of maximum basis shear force is trivial. The yield displacement of structure is increasing and the maximum basis shear force is decreasing by increasing the aspect ratio, the more the axial force increases, the more yield displacement and maximum basis shear force decease.

  • In this study, Interaction among each element was construed by the unit of new stiffness matrix to analyze the finite element about Japanese precast concrete slab track and improved slab track. Dynamic analysis which is assumed a static analysis and a trainload on the transverse and the longitudinal load of the train into a series periodic function was performed by using the common program. And then, the difference of the movement between an improved section and an existing structure type was realized. Longitudinal static analysis indicated that the stress of the improved section is smaller than that of the protrusion of the existing slab track. And static and dynamic analysis on transverse load showed a little decrease of the displacement on new slab track. But the dynamic analysis result showed that new track system was considerably decreased by 30% compared with the existing Japanese slab track.

A Study on the Characteristics of Motion Response of Stern Trawlers in Following Seas (선미식 트롤선의 추파중 선체동요특성에 관한 연구)

  • In the field of research of sea keeping quality, much development has been made in recent years using the method of calculation based on the strip theory. It is very important to investigate the hull response of a fishing vessel in waves to ensure the safe navigation and fishing operation in rough seas by preserving excellent sea keeping qualities. For this purpose, the author measured various responses of three fishing vessels in waves using real sea experimental measuring system and analyzed the experimental data The results obtained can be summarized as follow. 1. The amplitudes of pitching motion in the experiments appeared low values with more than one peak occasionally in following sea and quartering sea, and the band width of those was found to be wide relatively. 2. The amplitudes of rolling motion in the experiments appeared high values with only one peak in following sea and quartering sea regardless of ship's tonnage, and the band width of those was found to be narrow relatively. 3. The comparisions of theoretical results with those of experiments for the pitching motions and rolling motion in following sea and quartering sea show that the theoretical values are higher slightly than those of experiments in both directions and the period at which the peak appears in the calculations and the experiments has good agreement approximately 4. The calculated responses of two vessels under a assumed wave of 2.2m height and 5.0sec period showed that the response of pitching motion of ship-A are 2.2 times bigger than those of ship-C in following sea and quartering sea, and the response of rolling motion of ship-A is 4.2 times bigger than that of ship-C in quartering sea.

On the motion characteristics of small trawler in trawling job and sailing (소형 트롤 어선의 예망과 항해중의 동요특성)

  • It is very important for the safe navigation and fishing operation to ensure the hull response of a fishing vessel in rough seas. This is an experimental study on the dynamical characteristics of ship's motion during operating job and sailing in the real sea. The experiments were carried out on the small stern trawler in operating job and sailing, and then the ship's roll and pitch motion were simultaneously recorded by P/C according to the wave directions. From these data, the statistical properties and power spectra were obtained and the analysis of ship's motions in the both case were made. The results obtained are summarized follows : (1) The amplitudes of pitch motion don't appear a big different between trawl job and sailing, but at bow seas, its in sailing have a tendency to increase more than in trawl job. The amplitudes of roll motion appear a bog different between trawl job and sailing, but at beam sea, that slightly decreasing tendency. (2) The peak period of pitch motion in trawl job and sailing change, but that of roll motion don't change according to the direction of waves. (3) The warp tention cause the motion of hull to be reduce, if the tention of each side have a ballance.

Asphalt Concrete Pavement Response to Moving Load and Viscoelastic Property (아스팔트 혼합물의 점탄성과 차량의 이동 속도가 포장 거동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study presents a viscoelastic characterization of flexible pavement subjected to moving loads. A series of field tests have been conducted on three pavement sections (A2, A5, and A8) at the Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) test road. The effect of vehicle speed on the responses of each test section was investigated at three speeds: 25 km/hr, 50 km/hr, and 80 km/hr. During the test, both longitudinal and lateral strains were measured at the bottom of asphalt layers and in-situ measurements were compared with the results of finite element (FE) analyses. A commercial FE package, ABAQUS was used to model each test section and a step loading approximation has been adopted to simulate the effect a moving vehicle. For viscoelastic analysis, relaxation moduli of asphalt mixtures were obtained from laboratory test. Field responses reveals the strain anisotropy (i.e., discrepancy between longitudinal and lateral strains) and the amplitude of strain normally decreases as the vehicle speed increases. In most cases, lateral strain was smaller than longitudinal strain, and strain reduction was more significant in lateral direction.

  • 차량 모델 비선형성의 주된 요인중 하나는 타이어의 비선형성이라고 할 수 있다. 타이어 모델도 간편화하기 위해 선형화된 타이어 모델을 적용할 경우에 저속 주행 또는 고속 주행이라고도 조향각이 적을 때는 문제가 없지만, 급격한 가감속과 과도한 조향각을 주었을 때는 타이어 미끄럼 각(Tire Slip Angle)이 급격히 변화되므로 선형화 된 타이어 모텔을 적용하지 못하게 된다. 그러므로 타이어와 지면 사이의 물리적 현상을 자세히 표현할 수 있는 비선형 타이어 모델을 적용하지 못하게 된다. 그러므로 타이어와 지면 사이의 물리적 현상을 자세히 표현할 수 있는 비선형 타이어 모델이 요구되어진다. 실험적 모델은 실제 차량의 실험 데이터를 바탕으로 커브 피팅(Curve Fitting)하여 타이어의 동특성을 표현하도록 모델링 하므로서 모델의 정확도를 높일 수 있는 반면 요구하는 계수들이 많아지게 되어 계산량이 증가되는 단점이 있다. 기존의 타이어 모델 연구 결과에 대해 분석하고, 관측 자료들을 바탕으로 FMFNN(Fuzzy Membership Function based Neural Network)을 이용한 함수 근사화로서 타이어 횡축력과 종축력의 모델링 방법을 제안하였다.

Study on equivalent material property of Tetra Chiral Honeycomb structure using finite element method (유한 요소 해석을 이용한 Tetra Chiral Honeycomb 구조의 등가 물성치에 대한 연구)

  • 자연에서 안정적이고 경제성이 높은 구조로 벌집 구조가 많이 언급이 된다. 이러한 벌집 구조의 특징으로 인해 많은 공학자들이 그 구조를 모방하여 적용하고 있다. 벌집 구조에도 다양한 종류가 존재하지만 그 중 음의 푸아송 비(Poisson's ratio)를 갖는 Chiral Honeycomb 구조가 많이 연구되고 있다. 푸아송 비는 물질이나 구조의 고유한 물성치로 종, 횡 방향의 변형율로 나타내며 이 값으로 외부 조건으로부터의 변형을 예측 할 수 있게 된다. 흔히 푸아송 비는 양의 값을 가지지만 Chiral Honeycomb 구조는 음의 푸아송 비를 가져 기존의 구조와는 다른 기계적 성질을 가지게 된다. 이 논문에서는 Chiral Honeycomb 구조 중에서도 4개의 관절(ligament)를 가지는 Tetra Chiral Honeycomb 구조에 대해 EDISON용 CASADsovler 프로그램을 통해 유한 요소 해석을 수행하여 등가 물성치를 구해 보았으며 기존 실험의 값들과 비교를 통해 해석을 위해 필요한 적절한 대표 체적에 대해 확인해 보았다.
