Animation is a popular art in the form of enlightenment that intimately approaches people of various ages and makes them reconsider the social problems they have ignored. Therefore, this paper analyzes how the character setting and formative symbolism in "The Willoughbys" raise awareness of social agendas. The previous studies found that the modern society needs to be aware of child abuse and various types of family, and examined that color and formativeness of animation induce psychological and behavior change from the audience. The work shows emotional abuse and neglect as characters, and presents the subdivided form of the family. The rainbow symbolizes diverse family members. The agents with visual characteristics express the modern principle-based secondary perpetrator along with apathetic neighbors to urge a change in audience perception. This paper insists the value of animation when it is essential to raise public awareness prior to the construction of a welfare society and support system.

The BAUHAUS started as the purpose of training the people who are designers in the industnal society or who have artistic talent as architect, handicraftman, sculptor, and in the construction, it was based for entire organizational training for every handicrafts in the aspect of the art and form. The preliminary course that became the generative power of the human training that have possessed creativity was studied and put in to practice through the formative activity of dIverse form and method according to the educational idea and the educational method of the teachers who are in charge of such edudation, and common access method that forms the fundamental basis was centered not only human being as a formative principle, and analyzed thoroughly with biological function and further until mental and philosophical part but served and thought synthetically and took principal objects at the formative practice. Together with this, the characteristic structure of the BA UHA US's formative education was taking the grouptherapy educational method where there was not distinguish teacher and student and through the liberal criticism and they realize by experience themselves that how to solve the certain subject and pursue the form by compare each other's solutions.

The meaning of the diamond crystal structure and the formative beauty of the crystal form were designed from a new perspective and expressed in jewelry. In this study, we examined the literature on the crystal structure of diamonds and analyzed cases of jewelry design based on the formative characteristics of diamond crystal structure. we newly interpreted the meaning and value of diamond crystal structure, and studied the figurative design that can show the aesthetic effect of the crystal structure by designing the diamond crystal structure as jewelry. By presenting jewelry designs that take advantage of the symmetry effect of the diamond crystal structure and the repetition of the sculptural beauty, we hope that the fundamental beauty and cultural meaning of gemstones will be re-recognized.

Lucie Rie as an individual ceramist in terms of contemporary meaning was influenced by early 20th century's academic education and the ideology of modern formative arts. Modernity in her ceramic works has had a dramatic exert on numerous potters. Also, she is highly required to be studied in the history of modern pottery as a potter who took the initiative of studio pottery by the individual artistic handicraft. This paper considered an analysis of characteristics and techniques of 20C Modernistic ceramist Lucie Rie's works and activities. The body of this research investigated classification by chronicles and stylistic characteristics of her activity in the background of early 20th century European Modernism which influenced her formative arts. In the modern society in which globalization is ongoing in the overall culture social culture, various efforts are being made by each country around the world in order to search for the distinctive cultural identity and creativity. Recognizing the importance of the 'Korean' tradition, South Korea is also actively engaged in researches to develop design utilizing it and to apply it in real life. Here, developing Korean design does not simply refer to borrowing and imitating the traditional form or color but refers to generating a new, original and ethnic aesthetic consciousness that conform to the era that we are currently living in based on the unique ideology and sentiment inherent in its formativeness. Despite the fact that research on Korean traditional culture has continued for a long period of time, it is considered that such phenomenon continues to take place because the establishment and utilization of Korean culture identity is still insufficient. There, research on various fields based on new understanding with regards to our culture and the development of design utilizing it is in dire need. This study aims to analyze the said usage form and formative characteristics and the possibility of modern application focused on the lines and patterns which are most frequently mentioned when discussing about the Korean traditional formative beauty of Korea.

The study on works motivated from interest in the nature of matters and inherent visual-perceptual structure in them aims at expressing formative continuity of the connections of three dimensions of simple geometrical shapes such as circles and lines, which are characteristics of shape of molecules. With such a purpose, this study examined the geometrical shapes in modern arts and structural connection and symbolism of molecule structure, and based on such considerations, it expressed successive formative beauty which comes from repetitive connection between units by creating stereogram of simple geometrical shapes of molecule structure. The types of works include a method of connecting the units of molecule models and molecules seen in electron microscope with lines as a parameter and connecting units directly, which are used to express body accessory and metallic sculptures. Consequently, it attempted formation occurring spatial composition of continuity of division and duplication through direct connection between units and circular continuity coming from connection of simple geometrical shapes of molecule images such as spheres and curves transformed into stereogram.

Hangeul is growing as cultural icon representing Korea. And Hangeul is scientific and is too systematics for words as the guide of modern design. First it can make the variable and beautiful foams like dot, line and plane. It also has the basic design principles like symmetry and repetition. The purpose of this study is to develop textile designs using the formative characteristics of Hangeul. So in this study it was chosen 'ㄱ, ㄹ, ㅁ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㅇ, ㅍ' of Hangeul's consonants and 'ㅑ, ㅕ' of Hangeul's vowels as the subject materials of textile designs development to develop textile designs expressed the geometrical shapes and formative beauty of Hangeul. Those are designed by using a variety of motifs that recast the shapes of Hangeul. So six textile designs for necktie and scarf were developed. Through this study it will be offered to the possibility of products that was based on Hangeul.

Frank O. Gehry is hewn to be an architect whose design 1anguage is so arbitrary and so unexpectedly changing that it seems to be almost impossible to trace any common language or my coherence over his entire career and works. To provide a counter-argument to this conception, this study explores the transformation pattern of the design language commanded by Gehry through his works. To pursue this study, Gehry's career was divided into four periods according to the design characteristics, and thorough analysis was conducted on the transformation pattern of the language both synchronically and diachronically. Based on the analysis, it was found that Gehry had been always trying to metaphorically embody the synchronic context of any given Period into his works, and the vehicles of this embodiment were materiality and morphology. Finally the argument of this study is that the changing process of Gehry's design language is not any "revolutionary change," as it was known to be, but 〃evolutionary transformation. "on."

In 21st century, with the rapid development of Information technologies, a new form of postgraduate courses on multimedia has emerged. The curriculum of that course is consisted of a combination of design related fields and computer science. In this thesis, I analyzed problems of design education come from multimedia departments of 2-year colleges. This form of departments result in the reduction of design related courses and that is also reduction of basic design rather than multimedia. But, for the desirable multimedia design education, the functional aspects of multimedia must be harmonized with the artistic aspects. For these reason, I developed a course of study on multimedia design. It consists of theoretical studies about design principles, actual training on flash application, and individual projects accomplishments. And on the basis of this results, case studies of 3 subjects were done in a semester.

This research is a study of fashion design that applied formative features of formal beauty of architecture into clothing design; we focused on Gaudi's architectural style as well as Art Nouveau style that became popular from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. We noted that in general the simple and flat features of cloth impose a limitation on the expression of formal features in clothing design, but a unique diversity of designs can be achieved, evoking a sense of freshness by an ideal combination of flat patterns and draping. The aim of this research is to present a possibility of extending the sphere of design expression by creating three-dimensional clothes with pattern-cutting skills and applications of three-dimensional patterns as well as flat patterns found in Gaudi's works of architecture that are distinguished in curvaceousness and formal beauty. As for the research method, we reviewed previous studies by making a close review of books, papers, the pictures and web sites related to this topic. We made our clothes on the basis of this theoretical consideration. We found the following points. First, by presenting a work of fashion inspired by architectural designs, we realized that formal beauty in architect can become a motive for clothing design in a broad scale by noting the formal images, decoration details, and formative features of architectural works. Second, the characteristic lines of Gaudi's architecture are suitable to be adapted for expressing the detailed lines of decoration in clothes. Third, we can express formative beauty in clothes by highlighting the variation of shapes and lines through various attempts of change in background pattern, even though there is a limitation in the availability of cloth material because we must choose pieces of cloth with right texture and thickness that can be cut and sewn appropriately to express formative beauty. Fourth, we confirmed that it was possible to create unique formative designs by a creative application of both flat and three-dimensional cutting.
