  • This study is to explore the contents and composition of architectural design studio. The purpose of this study is to seek after the potentiality of architectural design education as a formative design dealing with the morphologic difference between solid and void, and to present the effective process of design education for architectural design studio in terms of creative thinking.

  • This study alms at developing the basic substance of education in Creating in 2- Dimentional Space, Which will make it possible to express and pursue creating which is appropriate for the characteristics of computer graphic as well as the technical side of the creating shape using computer in the established basic educational programs of the field, Thus in this study, I will put the concepts of creating shape relevant to various expression media in order. Based on this, I will clarify the potential of utilizing computer graphics and the extent to which they can applied, The purpose of this study lies 10 understanding computer as a means of creating and revealing the possibility for broadening the boundary of the establishd creating, For this, I am gOlOg to propose a plan for the education of Creating 10 2-Dimentional Space, limiting myself to the area relevant to computer graphics.

  • Nowadays, active teachers expend much time and effort in preparing for classes. Especially, the basic formative calsses in art education have much effect when they are done with a lot of material(plaster casts, etc.) and lighting effect, but not in real. Proposed web-based learning instrument makes possible basic formative classes with simple operation by loading several materials and lighting operator on the web. In this paper, we propose web-based learning instrument to improve basic formative classes. Students will easily be able to express shadow and shade by lights with this web-based learning instrument in basic formative classes.

  • This study attempts to suggest a new direction of the plastic arts education, first by examining a variety of cases in the admission policy depending on the existence of students' preeducation; and second, by analyzing the work process of students who were admitted. The flexible admission policy should be provided to select both groups of students: students with preeducation and students without preeducation. It is requested that the uniform selectional standard adopted by most universities should be changed into the diverse standards that can evaluate different educational back ground of students. This study will be helpful for the university professors to prepare for the new educational foundation and direction by enhancing the efficiency of teaching. This study also aims to suggest the curriculum and methods of the design education to provide the effective teaching of plastic arts and there by develop the better methods of education in this area.

  • In 21st century, with the rapid development of Information technologies, a new form of postgraduate courses on multimedia has emerged. The curriculum of that course is consisted of a combination of design related fields and computer science. In this thesis, I analyzed problems of design education come from multimedia departments of 2-year colleges. This form of departments result in the reduction of design related courses and that is also reduction of basic design rather than multimedia. But, for the desirable multimedia design education, the functional aspects of multimedia must be harmonized with the artistic aspects. For these reason, I developed a course of study on multimedia design. It consists of theoretical studies about design principles, actual training on flash application, and individual projects accomplishments. And on the basis of this results, case studies of 3 subjects were done in a semester.

  • The foundation courses of industrial design from Bauhaus to today is, a delivery room of modern industrial design, played an essential role of the image formation in the current German design. In the foundation courses of industrial design that is required in our society, not only the concept gestalt should be understood, approached to industrial design through the integrated meaning of science and culture. In this paper, the historical establishment background of gestalt universities that contributed enormously to the development of German industrial design was analyzed, and then tried to understand the fundamentals of German design education. Also the results of the foundation courses at Bauhaus, Vim university and current German gestalt universities are compared to the products, which illustrates a typical German Image. With this comparison, the importance of the role of the basic design education was recognized, and using the results the necessary direction of the foundation courses in Korean industrial design was presented.

  • The BAUHAUS started as the purpose of training the people who are designers in the industnal society or who have artistic talent as architect, handicraftman, sculptor, and in the construction, it was based for entire organizational training for every handicrafts in the aspect of the art and form. The preliminary course that became the generative power of the human training that have possessed creativity was studied and put in to practice through the formative activity of dIverse form and method according to the educational idea and the educational method of the teachers who are in charge of such edudation, and common access method that forms the fundamental basis was centered not only human being as a formative principle, and analyzed thoroughly with biological function and further until mental and philosophical part but served and thought synthetically and took principal objects at the formative practice. Together with this, the characteristic structure of the BA UHA US's formative education was taking the grouptherapy educational method where there was not distinguish teacher and student and through the liberal criticism and they realize by experience themselves that how to solve the certain subject and pursue the form by compare each other's solutions.

An Analysis of Research Trend for Development of Creative Convergent Formative Education Program of Natural Structure Concept (자연구조개념 주제의 창의융합조형교육프로그램 개발을 위한 연구동향분석)

  • This study aimed to identify the trends of related research as a basic study for the development of creative convergent formative education program of natural structure concept. This study sought to identify research trends present in previous studies. The nature structure of the preliminary research was limited to the three concepts: (i) fractal ; (ii) kinetic and (iii) biomimicry. In this study, the trends of domestic research in the last 10 years related to the concept of natural structure were analyzed using academic research information service. It was found that, to date, little research has been conducted on the three concepts across education fields. In relation to the fractal concept, previous research has focused on mathematics. This preliminary study sought to review the abovementioned three concepts or the development of a modeling education program. It should be significant, if an education program adopted unlimited modeling principles to understand the innate features of the nature structure. However, very few education programs have adopted the three concepts of the nature structure. Future studies would seek to review international research trends based on the three concepts of the nature structure and combine the results on international research trends with the results on domestic research trends found in this study.
