Work-Familiy Interface and Organizational Outcomes in Female Managers: The Moderating Effects of Family-friendly Organizational Culture (여성관리자의 일-가정 상호관계와 조직성과: 가족친화적 조직문화의 조절효과 분석)

  • Work-family interface including work-family conflict and work-family enrichment has an effect on organizational performance such as job satisfaction and organizational commitment. This empirical research mainly investigated influence of family-friendly organizational culture on work-family interface and organizational performance. Three key variables apply for this research : work-family interface, organizational performance and family-friendly organizational culture. A total 750 questionnaire was collected from female managers in various companies for hypothesis testing. The empirical analysis shows that reducing work-family conflict and enhancing work-family enrichment positively contribute to job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The Family-friendly organizational culture plays a moderating role between work-family interface and organizational performance. As a result, the findings support the fact that family-friendly organizational culture impact on organizational performance through work-family balance.

  • This Study Examines the Relationships Among Participation Motivation for Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) Using Social Media, Organization-public Relationship between Companies Conducting CSR and Participants, and Companies' Brand Loyalty. Using Questionnaire Data, Confirmatory Factor Analyses were used to Figure out Participation Motivation Factors Including Empathy and Interest. The Confirmatory Factor Analyses Also Derived Organization-public Relationship Factors Including Trust, Commitment, Control Mutuality, and Intimacy Created between Companies Conducting CSR and Participants. The Proposed Research Model was Tested through Structural Equation Modeling. The Results Showed that the Empathy Factor Positively Affects all the Organization-public Relationship Factors, and the Interest Factor Positively Affects trust and Commitment Factors. The Trust Factor Positively Influences other Organization-public Relationship Factors Including Commitment, Control Mutuality, and Intimacy. The results also Showed that each one of the Organization-public Relationship Factors Improves the Companies' Brand Loyalty.

  • Recently, due to the continuous changes in the business environment and increased competition, enterprises are introducing technology management to increase their value and enhance their competitiveness. In this study, based on the structural equations model, we investigated the effects of the core success factors of knowledge management on job fidelity and organizational performance and the mediating effects of organizational learning. In addition, organizational culture and information technology and process were assumed to be the key factors affecting knowledge management, and organizational learning was represented by experimental learning, indirect learning, and shared learning. As a result, it was found that knowledge management positively affects business fidelity and organizational performance and, even when it is mediated by organizational learning, it positively affects business fidelity and organization performance directly or indirectly. Therefore, we were able to confirm the importance of utilizing knowledge management in companies and to suggest an appropriate application scope for applying knowledge management and organizational learning.

Effects of Timings and Light Intensities of Supplemental Red Light on the Growth Characteristics of Cucumber and Tomato Plug Seedlings (적색광 처리시기 및 광도가 오이 및 토마토 플러그묘의 생장에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was established to control the overgrowth of cucumber and tomato plug seedlings by controlling of irradiation timings light intensities of red (R) light. Compared with the control, end-of-day (EOD) timing of R irradiation significantly reduced the seeding heights by 21.3% and 14.2% in cucumber and tomato, respectively. In addition, both plant seedlings treated with R light at EOD timing had the thickest stem diameter. Tomato seedlings treated with R light at EOD showed th highest chlorophyll content and the smallest leaf size. Dry weights of above ground plant tissue in both plant seedlings were significantly reduced by EOD R light treatment. And both plant seedlings treated with EOD treatment had the lowest T/R ratio, and the highest compactness rates. The increased intensities of R light resulted in the shorter plant heights in cucumber and tomato plant seedlings. It also reduced the length of hypocotyls and internodes and the size of leaves in the both seedlings. Elevated R light intensities tended to increase the stem diameter and chlorophyll contents. Dry weights of above ground plant tissue and roots in both plant seedlings were reduced by the elevated R irradiation. Cucumber seedlings treated with 2 and 8 $mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ and tomato seedlings treated with 8 ${\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ had significantly lower T/R ratio the other treatments tested.

An Empirical Study on Factors Influencing Employee's Turnover Intention -Focused on Call Center Caller- (종업원의 이직의도 영향요인에 관한 실증연구 -콜센터 상담원을 대상으로-)

  • In recent years, growth of the call center industry is leading lots of employment. But caller's frequent turnover deteriorates the labor productivity and increases the employment and training cost. The purpose of this study is to draw some factors by which turnover intention is influenced through literature review and identify a causality between the determinants and turnover intention. Call center callers were surveyed and the data were statistically analyzed. Empirical results indicate that job satisfaction and organizational commitment have negatively impacted on the turnover intention. Job characteristics have positively impacted on job satisfaction and organizational commitment but have not directly impacted on the turnover intention. Based upon the statistical results, some useful suggestions for call center managers are provided.

Germination Arrest of Carrot Somatic Embryos Cultured in Liquid Medium (액체배지배양에서 당근 체세포배의 발아 억제 현상)

  • Cotyledonary somatic embryos after being cultured in a liquid MS medium for 1 week were subcultured on a solid MS medium and then the embryos germinated at a rate of 92%, but the rate was lowered by extending the culture period of the embryos on a liquid medium: 26% germination on a liquid medium culture for 4 weeks. Somatic embryos subcultured on the liquid medium showed the normal elongation of hypocotyl and radicle but in part showed secondary embryogenesis on hypocotyl and callus formation on and around the root-hypocotyl juncture. Through observation of scanning electron microscope, apical meristem in plumule showed the loose arrangement of cells, and abnormal leaf primordium formation and growth arrest of the primordium or no leaf primordium formation. Therefore, it is suggested that the germination arrest of carrot somatic embryos on liquid medium culture is due to the structural abnormality of the apical meristem in plumule.

  • 동북아 물류중심국가로의 발전을 위한 다양한 방안과 연구성과물 등이 각계 단체 및 연구기관에서 매일 쏟아지고 있다. 수없이 쏟아지는 다양한 방안 중 과연 어떤 것이 정부가 추진하는 동북아 물류중심국가로 발전을 위한 대안이자 해법인가? 동북아 물류중심국가로 가는 해법은 한마디로 $\lceil$물류혁신!!$\rfloor$이라고 할 수 있다. 물류혁신의 선도자이자 안내자인 (사)한국물류협회는 최근 동북아 물류중심국가로의 도약을 위한 비전을 제시할 한국물류혁신대회의 조직위원회를 구성하고 출범시켰다. 올해로 11번째를 맞이하는 한국물류혁신대회는 10월 15일부터 18일까지 개최되며 물류산업의 발전을 위한 견인차로서 그 역할을 충실히 이행할 것으로 기대된다. 조직위원회의 출범에 맞춰 물류인의 축제인 이 대회를 지면으로 간략하게 소개하고자 한다.

The Influence of Inservice Training on Organizational Socialization of New Dental Hygienists (신규치과위생사의 직무교육이 조직사회화에 미치는 영향)

  • The aim of this study was to provide basic data that could give a positive effect for both new dental hygienists and dental institutions by identifying the impact of one the job training on the organizational socialization, targeting 162 new dental hygienists who currently worked in dental clinic. The data were analyzed using the chi-squire, independent-samples t-test, hierarchical regression analysis. It was shown that the characteristics and contents of a duration of inservice training for new dental hygienists, difficulty, satisfaction, and details of on-the-job training affected organizational socialization by 26.1%. The factor that had the greatest impact on the organizational socialization was dental hygiene service training, followed by guidance of hospital service regulations. This study was significant in that it applied the concept of organizational socialization to the dental hygienists. The future study on the more effective and systematic training program will be needed to help new dental hygienists be socialized more effectively in the new organization.
