A Study on the Effects of Organizational Culture on Sharing Knowledge (조직문화가 지식공유에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • In knowledge-based society, it is understood that the knowledge is an essential resources for effective management of the organization. Lately, knowledge management has been accepted by many organization as a new theory of management. But the problem is that people, a component of the organization tend not to open their own knowledge to others, but to keep seeking knowledge of others. It can be found in many research papers that there have been very little efforts for sharing knowledge among members of organization. The purpose of the study is to investigate the reasons for not sharing knowledge or ideas with others, to identify some cultural factors effecting their closed-minded attitude towards the sharing knowledge, and to find the solutions from the organizational culture.

  • This study is to comparate on impact factors and moderator of incentives of knowledge transfer between Nonprofit and Profit organization. In nonprofit organization, the results founded that individual information capability, quality of knowledge, and quality of construct were statistically significant in knowledge acquisition, informal communication and quality of construct were statistically significant knowledge sharing, and individual information capability, informal communication, quality of knowledge and quality of construct were statistically significant knowledge use. Also interactive effect of knowledge sharing and Psychological Physical incentive was statistically significant knowledge use. In profit organization, the results founded that individual information capability, informal communication, quality of knowledge, and quality of construct were statistically significant in knowledge acquisition, quality of knowledge and quality of construct were statistically significant knowledge sharing, and individual information capability, informal communication, and formal communication were statistically significant knowledge use. Also interactive effect of knowledge acquisition and Psychological Physical incentive was statistically significant knowledge use.

  • Recently, due to the continuous changes in the business environment and increased competition, enterprises are introducing technology management to increase their value and enhance their competitiveness. In this study, based on the structural equations model, we investigated the effects of the core success factors of knowledge management on job fidelity and organizational performance and the mediating effects of organizational learning. In addition, organizational culture and information technology and process were assumed to be the key factors affecting knowledge management, and organizational learning was represented by experimental learning, indirect learning, and shared learning. As a result, it was found that knowledge management positively affects business fidelity and organizational performance and, even when it is mediated by organizational learning, it positively affects business fidelity and organization performance directly or indirectly. Therefore, we were able to confirm the importance of utilizing knowledge management in companies and to suggest an appropriate application scope for applying knowledge management and organizational learning.

  • 최근 조직에 지식경영을 도입해야 할 필요성이 강조되고, 이를 도입하고자 관심을 갖고, 도입 중에 있는 조직들이 점차 증가하고 있다. 그러나 지식경영의 도입은 지속적인 구축과정을 필요로 한다. 또한 이러한 지식경영을 도입하였을 때 과연 조직은 어떠한 성과를 얻을 수 있을까라는 점에 많은 질문을 갖게 된다. 따라서 지식경영을 도입함으로써 조직이 어떻게 변화하며, 궁극적으로 조직의 성과를 어떻게 측정해야 할 것인가는 중요한 사항이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 최근 그 유용성이 강조되는 BSC 관점에서 점진적 지식경영 방법론에 토대를 둔 파일럿 영역단위의 접근에 기반한 산업별 조직의 가치활동의 가중치를 평가해 봄으로써 효과적인 지식경영의 성과측정 방법에 대한 지침 모델을 고찰해 보았다.

  • In today's knowledge-based industries, knowledge can be said to be a significant factor that has a decisive impact on corporate competitiveness. Recently, Korean construction companies have been going through a difficult period of time because of various negative domestic and foreign factors, such as economic decline and a continued sluggish domestic construction market, mainly due to the Korean government's real estate regulations and increasing competition from overseas companies with improved technologies. To help domestic construction companies navigate such an environment, this study empirically analyzes how the nature of corporate knowledge impacts the acquisition, transfer and deployment of knowledge within the organization of a company. Through such empirical analysis, we looked into how internal attributes of corporate knowledge affect the acquisition, transfer and application of such knowledge for domestic construction companies, with the application of the structural equation modeling (SEM). According to the results of this study, it is clear that the attributes of corporate knowledge have a significant impact on the acquisition, transfer and application of corporate knowledge, and therefore on the managerial performance of domestic companies.

  • Knowledge utilization is an activity directly linked to organizational capacity and is the most essential activity in knowledge management that is to produce new values. Thus, systematic and comprehensive understanding of factors and the environment that affect knowledge utilization are needed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of information culture and organizational culture on knowledge utilization. For this, data were collected from 300 workers from 6 institutions including government-funded research institutes, libraries, and cooperation research institutes. This study analyzes the effects of six aspects of information cultures and four organizational culture types on knowledge utilization. The results show that information cultures(control, transparency, proactiveness) and organizational culture (The Clan Culture, The Adhocracy Culture, The Market Culture, The Hierarchy Culture) are significantly influential factors for the knowledge utilization. Based on results, this study provides the implication of knowledge sharing in the organizations and suggests further studies.

  • 지식사회, 지식경제의 등장과 더불어 기업의 자원으로서 지식(knowledge)의 중요성이 부각됨에 따라 마케팅 전략의 한 분야로서의 신제품 전략에서도 신제품 개발과정에 있어 기업(혹은 신제품 개발 팀)의 지식과 지식의 활용 능력을 어떻게 확장할 것인가가 중요한 전략적 이슈(issue)가 된다. 신제품 개발 과정에서는 필연적으로 불확실성-시장 불확실성과 기술 불확실성-이 존재하며 불확실성을 해소하기 위하여 정보와 지식의 중요성이 부각되고 기업내의 다양한 조직-특히 R&D, 생산, 마케팅-과의 지식공유·통합과정이 중요시된다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 첫째, 기업이 가지고 있는 지식을 제품으로 구체화하는 과정이 신제품 개발(New Product Development; NPD)과정이며 구체화 과정에서 개발의 효율성과 효과성을 어떻게 달성할 것인가에 관한 문제를 다루고자 한다. 둘째, 기존의 신제품 성과 요인으로 제시되고 있는 많은 요인들을 '지식역량(knowledge competence)'의 개념으로 정리하고 이러한 지식 역량과 신제품 경쟁우위 간의 인과적 관계를 살펴봄으로써 신제품 경쟁우위에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대한 분석을 하고자 한다. 셋째 신제품 개발조직의 지식역량을 향상시키기 위한 전략적 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이론적 배경으로 기업을 지식의 결집체로 인식하고 있는 지식거점관점(knowledge based perspective)과 이러한 지식자원의 활용에 초점을 맞춘 조직학습(organizational learning) 이론 그리고 심리학에서 다루고 있는 분산된 인지이론(distributed cognition theory)을 활용한다.

  • Information center represents an important source which seems very well suited for knowledge management investigation. Information center is knowledge intensive and the use of advanced technology may transform the knowledge of business processes for delivering an unique capabilities in an organization. To exam knowledge management, organization culture, importance of knowledge, and support of information technology were identified as potential predictors of knowledge management support in information center. Three hypotheses have been tested with 43 database management specialist surveys. This study presents that the level of information sharing and knowledge exchange is significantly influenced by the extent support of information technology.

  • 본 연구에서는 조직이 지식경영을 실천함에 있어 지식의 문서화 및 재활용에 초점을 맞추고 있는지 아니면 조직내 전문가 활용에 초점을 맞추고 있는지, 그리고 지식의 획득 원천을 조직내부와 외부 어디에 두고 있는지에 따라 지식경영의 실천유형을 분류하고, 분류된 실천유형에 따라 기업의 지식경영성과가 어떠한 차이를 보이는 지를 검증하고, 지식경영의 초점 및 지식 원천의 분류변수가 지식경영성과에 미치는 개별 영향력도 함께 분석하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 항공교통관제 조직 내 지식공유 문화를 조성하기 위해 항공교통 관제사들의 지식공유 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 실증적으로 파악하고 이들이 실제 항공교통관제사들의 지식공유 의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치며 각각의 요인들의 영향력 크기를 상호 비교해 봄으로써 항공교통관제 조직 내 지식 공유문화를 정착하는데 그 목적이 있다. 그 결과 항공교통관제사는 지식경영을 새로운 패러다임으로써 정책적으로 추진하고자 하는 시대적 조류와 이에 따른 지식공유의 중요성에 대한 자각과 개인의 지식을 공유할 수 있는 열린 사고가 개인차원 에서 지식을 공유하도록 유도하는 요인으로 작용하며 더 나아가 동료간의 신뢰와 지식공유에 따른 평가 및 보상이 조직차원에서 주어질 때 더 원활한 지식공유가 이루어질 것으로 나타났다.
